ODII series wrap up and the big questions. As I
said before, Australia win the series two to one, and
(02:04):
pretty comfortable than the last one.
Speaker 2 (02:05):
That's oh was it comfortable the second The second one
was a bit a bit dicey towards the end.
Speaker 4 (02:12):
There, it was a little bit but Connolly sort of
you know, it was an important innings for him as
well as Mitchell and that partnership in that in this
game too.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Just cure that win absolutely and as you mentioned, the
third one got absolutely pants.
Speaker 3 (02:24):
We did get absolute pants.
Speaker 1 (02:25):
And then but I think our batting has improved because
you were like, no chances, we're chasing two thirty to forty,
and we did.
Speaker 3 (02:33):
In the second second der.
Speaker 2 (02:34):
Man does job. No Seven men do job.
Speaker 1 (02:38):
I feel like I think you mentioned in the office
that we just don't often chase those big scores.
Speaker 3 (02:42):
Don't and we did.
Speaker 1 (02:43):
So that's to sixty a big score. Yes, it's an
average score of the other day you were saying it
was a big score. It's a big score for us
to chase.
Speaker 3 (02:52):
Did anyone even know yours what happened?
Speaker 1 (02:54):
No?
Speaker 2 (02:54):
I didn't actually.
Speaker 1 (02:59):
Know where Still there, I am Colie struggle obviously started
with a pair of two ducks to to start the series,
and everyone's going, he's a bit washed, is he?
Speaker 3 (03:08):
Is he done?
Speaker 1 (03:08):
But he did finish strong and that's a good finish
for him in the in the white ball format, King
the King got seventy four, the match winning seventy four.
Speaker 2 (03:15):
Alongside road Chamas to another veteran.
Speaker 5 (03:18):
They had to perform because obviously, as you mentioned, the
first two eyes they were a bit poo poo, and
then they come back and they respond in fashion, and.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
It's going to be sad about the King.
Speaker 5 (03:31):
I love the You know, you've always don't really like Colie,
but I c Bee fan since the day I was born.
Speaker 2 (03:40):
That didn't exist exist eleven.
Speaker 5 (03:43):
Twenty eleven, and I love Virat Colie. And if you
just want to leave a comment about how much I
love Verat Collie.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
You love Yeah, we're both.
Speaker 4 (03:55):
He said, that's so weird, but you're right, like we
do need characters like it in the game.
Speaker 3 (04:00):
It was good banter between Australia and him over the years,
good rivalry.
Speaker 4 (04:04):
Maybe because he got that that second duck in Adelaide. Obviously,
when the whole team goes to Adelaide and they go
to that one Indian restaurant every time they go to Adelaide.
Speaker 3 (04:14):
Maybe they had a bad meal.
Speaker 2 (04:15):
I don't know that was a thing.
Speaker 4 (04:17):
There you go, they got Adelaide every time that every
time whenever they play an Adelaide.
Speaker 3 (04:23):
Restaurant they go to that Indian restaurant would shut them out.
For another clue, we'll have to go there.
Speaker 5 (04:28):
We'll go there, expert inside there, pair of ducks, pair
of ducts.
Speaker 1 (04:36):
The duck carry Is this the last time, lads we
will see Colie and Sharma in Australia?
Speaker 3 (04:41):
Probably, is right? It seemed like a bit of a world. Yeah,
we were acting like it, I think. I think definitely.
Speaker 1 (04:48):
Well Colie not playing in the twenty Sharma obviously, so
I think it could be.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Where is this coming from? Asia? Get a little bit
of a tear, but there you go. It is sad.
Look obviously too fantastic cricket.
Speaker 3 (05:02):
What are you doing?
Speaker 2 (05:05):
And yeah, I think it's great to when they come
to Australia. It's a great contest and I'm going to
miss that. I'm gonna be boring now, is it? I
think it will still be great now A man man.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Swell the wall. Yes, oh wow, good work. Anyway, this
is this is the chemist.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
What's it called when you know you're starting a sentence?
Speaker 3 (05:31):
The sanitizer.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
Anyway, in terms of Australia, we've constrained India a little bit.
So in terms of Australia, Connolly and an important innings
in Game two to secure the win, I just put
near its Connolly the future over Jake, Fraser McGirk and
Constance because he actually hits the.
Speaker 3 (05:49):
Ball on the ground. Oh Connolly, what do you guys think?
Speaker 2 (05:53):
He's sublime?
Speaker 5 (05:54):
You know, it reminded me of back in back in
my day growing up, Michael Bevan.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
Yes, he was not backing your day, but I would say,
really Forkner.
Speaker 3 (06:08):
Similar, I'm not really.
Speaker 5 (06:12):
It was like timing, It was finding the gaps. It was,
you know, making sure you're not you're ticking the.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
I remember Bevan just being clutch.
Speaker 2 (06:21):
Yeah that was clutch from Connolly.
Speaker 3 (06:22):
It was not quite hitting or four of the last
ball of the game. Yeah, clutch, like Bevan has done.
Speaker 2 (06:28):
Right, he's twenty two years old.
Speaker 1 (06:29):
I'm just saying anyway, it's good to see a twenty
two year old that has a good head on his shoulders.
Speaker 2 (06:34):
That's what good hair on his good hair as well.
Speaker 3 (06:36):
He's got the long w A for locks.
Speaker 5 (06:39):
I feel like he only got picked because they thought
he was from Sydney with that hair and then from
having some w A.
Speaker 2 (06:45):
We will get fifty.
Speaker 4 (06:46):
We will get into the odeo and they are picking
some Western Australians with some good hair.
Speaker 3 (06:50):
Yeah we will, we will, all right. It was great series, particularly.
Speaker 1 (06:52):
For the inexperience and rotated batting lineup of Australia, but
it leaves plenty of questions for a huge summer.
Speaker 3 (06:58):
So big question.
Speaker 1 (07:00):
We obviously always touch on the big questions after this
series and ahead to the Ashes. Do we have to
be concerned lads about Travis Head's form ahead of the Ashes?
Speaker 3 (07:09):
Who put this in the run put this one inside?
I put this to him. Yeah, I'm not. I'm a
little bit nervous. I don't know. I'll just have a
look at his recent scores. I'll read them out for here.
Speaker 4 (07:21):
This is his past ten innings so against South Africa
nineteen twenty seven six a great innings of one hundred
and forty two.
Speaker 2 (07:30):
There you go, it's fine.
Speaker 3 (07:32):
Thirty one, five, eight, eight, twenty eight to twenty nine.
Speaker 2 (07:36):
He's just saving it.
Speaker 1 (07:38):
Something he's going on with a one score above thirty
one in his last ten.
Speaker 3 (07:42):
Yeah, frustrate. So that's a bit of a little bit
of a worry. But he'll be fighting fire. He would
have opened it with five with.
Speaker 4 (07:48):
Majority of those games, yeah, and five of those being
you know, single figures, and he could be in. H
He's not going to be in that early, but considering.
Speaker 2 (07:55):
He's saving it, don't worry.
Speaker 3 (07:57):
I hope, I hope.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
So this is what he does. He's got the mo
he's laid back. His Aussie's a bloke. He doesn't like It's.
Speaker 1 (08:04):
Like it's like us, who really cares about the Odi
eyes and the t twenties when it's not the World Cup?
Speaker 5 (08:10):
Because he goes, I'm just going out there and fun.
I'm saving it for the big Doghoon, a thing.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
No one comments talking any sense, is also known as
the big Big you want to go. But genuinely, the
last those last ten matches were in odie eyes and
turning twenties.
Speaker 3 (08:31):
That do not mean as much as your World Cups
or your ashes.
Speaker 4 (08:34):
So played enough long format cricket, but none of them
may none of them, it's none of the I'm saying,
this is what.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
It's been down in our schooners with schooner score while
ago I was like a couple weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (08:48):
He's in New York like every month he's got Yeah.
Speaker 3 (08:51):
Yeah, anyway, so you know they have.
Speaker 1 (08:53):
Had a good time off, they're rest and they'll be fine.
I think Travor will be fine as well. But Marcus
is just a night of race.
Speaker 5 (08:58):
I will say that because if he does the first test,
everyone will still love him.
Speaker 2 (09:02):
He will still be the savior all that crap.
Speaker 5 (09:04):
But it's one to talk about and you've talked about
it now and that's why you're on the show.
Speaker 3 (09:11):
Well that was absolutely what do we talk about?
Speaker 4 (09:14):
You know, someone who could be opening for the test
mate in the ashes Mad Eventshaw obviously had to crack.
It was his ODI debut for Australia.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
Yeah, so that was the second big question. What do
we make of w Renshaws Renshaws test auditions?
Speaker 3 (09:27):
Thanks me. I tried to segue into that read.
Speaker 2 (09:30):
It, but he's asking us.
Speaker 1 (09:31):
I just want to ask you because I think you
guys know a bit more about this, especially Leo.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
I liked it.
Speaker 5 (09:35):
It looked a bit shaking that first ODI It took
a while to get going, but the game was pretty
much done.
Speaker 2 (09:40):
Looked really good on the other two.
Speaker 3 (09:41):
I thought, I thought he looked good, a.
Speaker 5 (09:43):
Bit of class, like found the gabs rotated the strike.
Speaker 2 (09:47):
What are you reading that?
Speaker 5 (09:48):
Until opening for the tests, I've got no bloody idea.
Speaker 4 (09:51):
Well, Alan Border and usmon kowa Ja have both come
out and said they wouldn't mind seeing the Queensland one
two three one two three Queensland? Which would be which
would be usman Renshaw and Marnas.
Speaker 1 (10:07):
Yeah, look I don't I don't mind, but I don't
want Manus in there.
Speaker 3 (10:11):
But cam Green could be injured.
Speaker 4 (10:13):
It could be he has he has a side strain
that's wading played the ods always got.
Speaker 3 (10:17):
He wakes up injured. He's the Richard the side strain?
What what is that?
Speaker 2 (10:21):
Your whole side is injured? Don't touch me.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
No, no, we don't do touching on this show without consent,
Thank you very much.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
But genuinely, I think, do you think is any chance
to make the test?
Speaker 5 (10:36):
I think I think the way it sits for me,
I think I'd read more into Marnus's form at the
domestic level than rental at the ODI.
Speaker 2 (10:45):
I level that makes sense.
Speaker 3 (10:47):
First, give me, give me, give me your top five
for the first.
Speaker 1 (10:50):
Test, kwaja Manus Green if fits Smith head big Bow website.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
If you got Martus opening really fortunately, what would you have?
Speaker 3 (11:03):
I would put constance. Really I'm still learning to work.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
I just think that if he he just needs one nothing,
want something sexy?
Speaker 2 (11:11):
Watch exactly?
Speaker 3 (11:12):
That's sexy batting? What was that? Does Marnus get into
your team?
Speaker 2 (11:15):
No way, No.
Speaker 1 (11:17):
If he's in good form, he hasn't been any good
form in tests, so get him.
Speaker 3 (11:20):
Out of cricket. Test.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
In test, that is test.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
A Test match they've had not They've They've had a
mixture days anyway. One They've had a mixture of long
format and international Test. It is ugly watching Manus bad though,
which is like I think he has to be picked
on form, but then watching him bat it's like I
want to scratch my eyes out with mail clippers.
Speaker 2 (11:42):
But isn't.
Speaker 3 (11:43):
Don't you get a bit of Steve Smith about that?
Steve Good?
Speaker 2 (11:48):
It's not squared up a lot more than Steve Smith.
Speaker 3 (11:53):
Anyway.
Speaker 1 (11:53):
Let us know in the comments if you think Marnus
should be in the side of foul.
Speaker 3 (11:56):
Side marks, I'd probably similar to you.
Speaker 5 (12:01):
Oh yeah, I don't think Conscience makes my squad but
open over March.
Speaker 4 (12:07):
But if Green doesn't play, I'd have Marnus at three
and Renshaw open.
Speaker 1 (12:12):
I'm not If by websit doesn't play, he'll play Big
Webster interesting, well, follow up if bo websit doesn't play,
we see Mitch Marsh in the squad?
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Could we see Mitch Marsh open?
Speaker 1 (12:23):
Mitch Marsh said, having beers on the morning of day one.
I don't think he wants because no one else is
making runs. Ye, Concas is making ducks.
Speaker 3 (12:33):
Left, right and center. That constat six, whether rule doesn't
make it the worst.
Speaker 5 (12:37):
I love the Bison, but I think his time in
the test arena is over.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
He doesn't even care anymore about the tests. He literally
said that it was poor in Australia last summer. I think, yeah,
I think unfortunately that.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
I think it's past him.
Speaker 1 (12:49):
Yeah, And if Webster and Green are injured, then it's
a very intriguing prospect for who we put at six.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
Marcus is an allround not really ros injured.
Speaker 4 (13:00):
Lock and bowl about if you want one ten piles
cheeky shout out, just a quick one.
Speaker 2 (13:11):
Will Sutherland.
Speaker 3 (13:15):
That you move carry up, you put many more Victorians
in the side as well.
Speaker 1 (13:19):
We do.
Speaker 4 (13:20):
We'll get Scobo obviously straight back in with no Paddy Cummins,
which is the next big question.
Speaker 1 (13:25):
Yes, so with Cummins he's officially out of the first
Test we found out this week. Could we see Xavier
Bartlett as part of the Ashes squad. I don't know
if he's He's definitely a very good short format bowler,
which we'll touch on in the second half of the show,
but I don't know about the test squad.
Speaker 3 (13:39):
I want big ferk Well.
Speaker 1 (13:40):
I was going to say, a friend of the show,
Fergus Oar with the Prata Sunny's and the earrings, the
double earrings, imagine that boxing down.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
I was going to say, if you wanted one hundred
and twenty five thirty kilometer swing bowler, you can nip
it off the deck.
Speaker 2 (13:51):
I think you go Fergus. Yeah, he's younger.
Speaker 3 (13:54):
Replace the Victorian with the Victorian.
Speaker 2 (13:56):
Yeah. This is a big bye show. Like the team,
it's not even being that biased.
Speaker 3 (14:02):
In terms of the long form. Berg has been better than.
Speaker 6 (14:06):
If giant Rechidson is still injured. No, I will have
ferguson done, mate, he's never coming back the critics over
your balley, he's very much. He seems Josh hazeled esk
as in hit the spots sort of bowler and gets
a little wickets behind the stumps with his swing. And
he's been exposed to a lot of international cricket. Now
he's been good and he bowled well against India.
Speaker 3 (14:28):
Ye sorry about that. Yeah, I don't mind that.
Speaker 4 (14:33):
He's definitely got a claim to be in in around
the squad, in a round the squad, I agree with that.
One last one, Should the players featuring in the Ashes
play in the T twenty series against India play Sheffield
Shield cricket or rest entirely?
Speaker 3 (14:44):
I've got a thought on this, but you guys go.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
I think if you're good enough to play T twenty,
you play. If you're good enough to play shield, your player.
I think the best form is actually playing cricket. You
rest and then you straight into an ASHES.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
I disagree.
Speaker 1 (14:57):
No, I think rest rest shouldn't be an option from
now because it's like, so is here I go with,
you have to be playing. I'd be leaning towards Shield
just because it's the closest format as we talked about.
Speaker 2 (15:06):
But if you're good enough for t twenty, but we
want you in the team.
Speaker 4 (15:09):
But it's such a different mentality. And look, it's so
much harder to build momentum in twenty twenty cricket than
it is long format momentum.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
They're going to have training sessions leading up to this.
Speaker 4 (15:19):
No, but then if they go out and make zero
off three balls in the twenty twenty.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
Okay, but who's who's actually a batsman in our Traviser
just Travis Head?
Speaker 5 (15:30):
Like a we are we really we've talked about his form?
Are we really that consent?
Speaker 1 (15:34):
It's not like Steve Smith's playing these ODI eyes.
Speaker 3 (15:37):
It's not like is going to be playing.
Speaker 1 (15:40):
Yeah, but Hazel will have break down anyway. Sorry, but
Joe Richardson might come into the team.
Speaker 5 (15:47):
That's enough about j richards But you know what I mean,
Like it isn't that big of an issue, Like we
know these conditions, like they're fit enough to not be
rested as well.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
I think the worst thing.
Speaker 4 (16:00):
I know, I'm not saying they should rest them. I
just think they should be playing longer format cricket.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
That yeah, that's what I'm I think it should be
the Shield cricket. But in saying that you want to
pick the best to show in side possible. So Travis
Head probably been there.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
And Travis said, is the one that will get Fiens?
Speaker 2 (16:15):
Yeah, exactly, fans will go and watch him. They're not
going to watch.
Speaker 3 (16:20):
No, Well we will touch on that.
Speaker 1 (16:22):
Let's get into the Australia versus India T twenty squads.
Now that's as everyone wants on the cricket coln. We've
got five twenty twenties in this series. Put another ashes test,
put another two ashes tests. Get rid of a couple
of tea twenties. I get there's a start at the
g A right, good on them, good on.
Speaker 2 (16:37):
That's great.
Speaker 1 (16:38):
But while we haven't five T twenties, let just want
to put out there's such the weirdest ran extra.
Speaker 3 (16:44):
Would you rather an extra? No, I'm scared.
Speaker 4 (16:48):
Four twenty twenties in a week and a half is
like there's a twenty twenty every two three days.
Speaker 3 (16:53):
It's good bath thanks. I think that's what I'm here,
That's what I'm broading. There's too many twenty twenties that
no one cares about.
Speaker 1 (17:00):
I do rather the T twenties at the end of
the summer rather than the start, but it's having fun anyway. Anyway,
let's touch on the squads. I'm not gonna go to
the whole goal. We'll go through the talking points. If
you's got Mitch marsh as a captain, there, you've got
Marley at Beardman now the Western show with the nice hair,
Cooper Connley's brother.
Speaker 2 (17:19):
You could say it does look like Cooper Connelly's brother.
Speaker 1 (17:22):
Is he literally just got picked because he's got cool hair,
because he's all right, not Australia worthy.
Speaker 3 (17:26):
That's come on by w as with Billabong sponsor coming.
Speaker 5 (17:32):
That's not bad like that, but yeah, w A players
with New South Wales hair, they get confused and they
get picked in the team.
Speaker 2 (17:38):
It's a new cheat code.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
So you're saying that Berg and I was bowling team
the should just grow out.
Speaker 3 (17:43):
The head of Southern has congra his hair. Will he
even get a game?
Speaker 4 (17:48):
He's only available for selection in between games three, four
and five. That's because Bezwood is only available for games
one and two.
Speaker 1 (17:55):
Yep, I think he actually he might play one just
because five twenty twenties and just test him out if
the series is done.
Speaker 3 (18:02):
Well, there's not many pace balls really in this side.
Speaker 4 (18:05):
You got Ellis in there, or you got Bartlet autious.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
But I wouldn't. He's a pace bowler, but he's not
a pace paper.
Speaker 5 (18:14):
He's quick man, he's the quickest out of all it
probably is the quickest, but he's not.
Speaker 1 (18:20):
I don't think anyway short of it as well. Look,
I like his career, but why they keep getting picked.
Speaker 6 (18:26):
He's old, he's slow, he's not really, he's not excitable.
Speaker 5 (18:31):
You know when you play local cricket and you're starting out,
you're like a fifteen year old playing fours and then
there's the old timer that's been there for sixty years,
that's at eighty.
Speaker 2 (18:42):
Doesn't bowl stands slip. There's a slip.
Speaker 5 (18:46):
If it goes past him, someone else has to go
chase the ball.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
That's Sean Abbert base. The other one in the squad
lads I wanted to touch on is Josh Philip. I
think this is a big series for his international career.
He didn't light the world up when he played for
Australia last year. A couple of the first od I
actually made thirty nine and got drop, which I was
a bit surprised.
Speaker 2 (19:03):
About because carry was back carry. But I think this
is a big yes series if he can get some games.
Speaker 1 (19:08):
I no like in the first od I thought he
was quite good, bit shaky early, but you know, he's
a three to sixty degree player and I think if
he can really shine in the in the T twenties,
I still think he's a great option for Australia.
Speaker 4 (19:21):
And we'll just quickly we'll I want to talk about
Mitch Owen because we're a little bit disappointed seeing his
position in the batting order in the odys. Do we
see him, you know, push up the order quite a
bit here in the twenty twenty squad?
Speaker 3 (19:35):
I think so? Do you think No?
Speaker 5 (19:37):
I think with Marshan head there, I reckon also English
is in the squad, so I don't think he's got
but I think Owen.
Speaker 2 (19:45):
I think Owen's going.
Speaker 1 (19:45):
To have to be more of a T twenty specialist
to start, and I don't mind him at seven if
he's coming in with four overs. Tim David sort of
Davis probably better than him at that sort of role
played both of them okay in this and I think
Owen might be still a bit a bit of the
way off in terms of his.
Speaker 2 (20:03):
Eyes, and I think he needs to improve his bowling drastically.
Speaker 3 (20:06):
Could it be a natural Glenn Maxwell replacement.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Hopefully if he improves his Obviously the bowling needs Moose
does bawl pace. He's been as well. He bowled both.
He bowled both in the Big Bash. I remember, yes,
he did, I remember. But when he started a bold again.
Speaker 3 (20:27):
He took it.
Speaker 4 (20:27):
He took a wicket for Australia in the Odio series
bowling pace.
Speaker 2 (20:30):
Yeah, I thought it was.
Speaker 5 (20:31):
A pace bowler and I don't think it is a
replacement with Glenn Maxwell because Maxwell is more of a
well rounded.
Speaker 1 (20:37):
Bat, can hit anywhere. Moose is your stand and deliver?
I think, yeah, good, good call. All right, India squad.
You obviously got as the captain should McGill man.
Speaker 2 (20:48):
The motor device Captaincy? Yes.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
One guy that I want to touch on later is
to like Varma's I've touched on it when we are
our predictions.
Speaker 3 (20:56):
But he's in really, really good form.
Speaker 1 (20:58):
I've actually got some Indian knowledge for which is good.
What do you guys got for me on this?
Speaker 2 (21:02):
What have I got for you?
Speaker 3 (21:04):
How are you looking forward to this?
Speaker 4 (21:05):
Well?
Speaker 2 (21:06):
I feel like what we're looking forward to we can
talk about in our predictions.
Speaker 1 (21:10):
But it's good to see Jasper in this or is
not for Australia, but it is contest.
Speaker 2 (21:15):
It is, and he's gonna he's going to bring.
Speaker 3 (21:19):
He could play all five? Couldn't you only bond four
over his max? Again, he's precious cargo.
Speaker 2 (21:24):
He's just playing one, playing like three three. Yeah, into
they've got some bowling death there.
Speaker 3 (21:30):
Yeah, they've got a very very good team in Australia.
We gets a bit scared of is he gonna Is
he gonna dominate?
Speaker 4 (21:35):
I think I think it would be good for maybe
if Boomer and Head go head to head, no pun intended, Yeah,
that it'll be a good warm up for the likes
of you know the Padma.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
Yeah when.
Speaker 5 (21:47):
Tongue before he was saying T twenties is not the
good leader.
Speaker 2 (21:52):
Is a good lead up for the ashes something?
Speaker 3 (21:55):
Now it is no.
Speaker 4 (21:56):
No, I prefer Head to be playing one format cricket.
But if he's gonna this, I think of us said
will be a.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
Good finding some positives in all all facets. More negative
as you may. I know, it's a Tuesday. Yeah, there
we go, there we go.
Speaker 1 (22:10):
Anything else for the Indian squad? Do we want to
get straight into the prediction. Let's get into the predictions.
India they've won the last five to twenty series versus Australia.
Speaker 3 (22:18):
I had to look, who are you tipping the series? Australia.
Speaker 1 (22:24):
I'm telling you there's more depth. You take out your
boom just doesn't play every match. Australia's winning the series.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
For the people at home.
Speaker 5 (22:31):
So that guy put that stat in and then still went, I'm.
Speaker 1 (22:35):
Just I'm just giving some context, and Australia has the
better team. Will be funny, funny, but three of them
were in India for example.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
Okay, and it's all right, don't worry about Astro. I
didn't want to say my prediction, yeah, but you made me,
so we'll go. Leo first, your serious predictions, both of
us both serious prediction.
Speaker 2 (22:53):
India three and who will win the first? We got
different for the first.
Speaker 1 (23:00):
Yeah, so you guys have gone three to India. I'm
gonna go three to Australia. I think we might start
off badly and build into it a little bit. So,
but you guys got India winning the first twenty twenty
which is tomorrow and night Manica.
Speaker 5 (23:12):
Yes, so I will I think India will take that
one out. I think they win at the G and
then Australia chlor.
Speaker 3 (23:17):
That's what I think. I think crowd is going to
be great.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Yeah, my lock is that they win at the G.
Likes because of the crowd. It's a sad one hundred thousand.
There's gonna be seventy thousand India fans.
Speaker 3 (23:29):
And we feel terrible at the MCG.
Speaker 4 (23:32):
Yes, yeah, true, we've except when we're playing one, normally
we either draw, but we build a man a statue
exactly building he's still standing, he's getting poised while they
build his statue of poise.
Speaker 3 (23:45):
There we go, we go through. Australia win.
Speaker 4 (23:47):
Low boys, Australia win, because I just think we'll lose
in the second at the MCG. Start the series, Well.
Speaker 2 (23:54):
Do you have a batter? You're looking at best batter
for the series, lads.
Speaker 3 (23:57):
Yeah, batter of the series.
Speaker 4 (23:58):
I'm actually looking at Matt Short because I thought he
played somewhat okay throughout the ODO series.
Speaker 3 (24:05):
He had a couple of good innings here and there,
seventy four in Adelaide.
Speaker 4 (24:09):
Yeah, in the Adelaide one that was obviously his home
his home deck as well. But I just think this
twenty twenty. He's been one of the best domestic twenty
twenty cricketers for Australia, dominating the runs in the Big Bash,
and he can dominate with the ball as well if
he gets given the opportunity, so he can do a
bit of both. So batter of the series, I'll go
(24:31):
Matt sure. I think he'll be a staple at the
top of the order. Yeah, yeah, I think he has
to have a big series as well.
Speaker 1 (24:36):
He's had some average performances in the T twenty Internationals.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Leader, you're better, my batter.
Speaker 5 (24:40):
I'm looking at the top order for India left handed
Abyshek Shama ooh. I think he is an explosive batsman.
I think he's been so dangerous at IPR level. Beloved Sunrise,
let's go inside Travis Head who they've opened together for
quite some time, and I just think he's one that
the os bowlers are going to have their hands full
(25:01):
with if Hazel doesn't get him out early.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
I think he's abbots on dorses on bartlet.
Speaker 4 (25:10):
You say, you say that, but on that ipl deck,
like a frog with roller skates can make runs on
that deck.
Speaker 3 (25:18):
I love that on that deck.
Speaker 5 (25:20):
Because yeah, I made more runs than Travis Head did.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
That is true.
Speaker 1 (25:24):
It was.
Speaker 3 (25:24):
It was very, very dominant my best batter.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
As I mentioned before, t like Varma is averaging seventy
one across his last five twenty internationals, averages fifty versus Australia.
Speaker 3 (25:33):
That's with a few not outs.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Say they're not out up, but he's actually average over
literally has been one of their best batters across t
twenty internationals this year. It's been really really good coming
in that middle order. I reckon the Aussies, we love
early wickets. He comes in the middle order and makes
a few runs. It's similar to the Odie Ice. We
got a few early wickets and then they caught it
back a bit. So I think he can make a
few runs there.
Speaker 2 (25:53):
That's some ball knowledge. Yeah, I actually put some put
some resource. Why not?
Speaker 5 (25:58):
Why not the best bowler it's got to be. I
think that's obviously excited to see him back. But if
you want nausey, I think Alice it was a bit
expensive in that.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
Third od I but I like his change ups more
than any other Australian bowler bar Hazel Wood. And Hazel's
only playing two games, so I think Alice is one
that might be expensive, but I think he can take
some wicked I.
Speaker 3 (26:19):
Think it's a little bit disappointing series.
Speaker 4 (26:22):
I think a lot of the Australia played I thought
he was all right, probably apart from I thought Zampa
took a nice four for Damp in the second game.
But I thought a lot of the Australian balls were
pretty underwhelming. Yeah, throughout the whole.
Speaker 2 (26:35):
Alice bounce back. Don't predicting Marcus.
Speaker 3 (26:40):
Okay, I'm going to mispronounce this, but Chakeryvarthi. He's good.
A bit of a tongue twister, but he's a great ball.
We've seen that.
Speaker 2 (26:49):
Over slippery bowls.
Speaker 3 (26:50):
Slippery. I knew you were going to say, yeah he can.
He's very hard to pick out of the hand.
Speaker 4 (26:56):
Funny, funny little action and I think he can provide
some some trouble for the for the Aussies, particularly with spin.
You know you can slow the the economy.
Speaker 2 (27:06):
Down the run right now, you can?
Speaker 4 (27:07):
Yeah, and that pole's pressure and if he's not the
one getting them, I think he will be a big
reason why the person at the other end gets the wickets.
Speaker 1 (27:14):
Absolutely. My best bowler is Zaviy Barler. We talked about him.
He's in good form. Two plus wickets in five of
his last seven matches for a j He's had a
couple of three.
Speaker 3 (27:23):
He had three for in the ODI series as well,
and just in really good form. It was really good
in the Big Bush as well. Was he was it?
Not the big bast just gone the one seasons ago?
Speaker 2 (27:33):
He was the leader leading We.
Speaker 4 (27:34):
Could take it with with Spencer Johnson or just beat
him on the final.
Speaker 3 (27:37):
Yeah, I think he just beat him.
Speaker 1 (27:38):
Yeah, yeah, Which he's been in great for him the
last couple of years, and you guys were talking him
up even for the Ashes squad, which is crazy because
I didn't think he was anywhere near that a couple
of years ago. So good on him and I think
he's going to be the best bowler.
Speaker 3 (27:48):
Speaking of just quickly, where is Spencer Johnson? He's injured. Yeah,
that's a good call because we haven't seen him even
for I.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Think I saw a clip of him recently saying that
he just like gets.
Speaker 3 (27:58):
Injured because he shaved his head.
Speaker 1 (28:00):
Yeah, that's why he got into these powers and he
didn't get the lifted.
Speaker 3 (28:04):
Now I'm good.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Ten likes on this video and Stat's gonna get a
buzz cut.
