What did they do to exceed expectations and what can
other clubs learn from their success?

Credit is bloody great. Allowed to say that, yeah, we
we were wrong and last year I put the heat
to finish eighth and they won. Yeah, and I own that.
I could have not said that and just slipped it
under the race. True, but I own my mistakes on
this show.

I'll respect I'll respect that. What do they do exceed expectations?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Two words. Mitch mitch Owen has stepped up. Last season,
he was sort of he had a few good games.
This season, he was their most consistent player. He was unbelievable,
even got a few weeks with the ball. Amazing batsman.
And then the other thing was I think all their
experienced players sort of had a more consistency. Nathan Alis
had a bit more consistent, Chris Jordan had a bit
more consistency. Even Tim David remember last season he was

really bad. Back into the season, Tim David's been really good.
I think that even their older players just been a
bit more consistent. And they're keeping it simple. They haven't
really changed the batting order. They've they've Chawdrey stepped up,
so everyone just sort of stepped up at the right moment.

the BBL preview, you guys predicted the Hurricanes the misfinals.
What did they do to exceed expectations and what can
other clubs learn from their success?

That is a swear that is a great It is
a bloody great.
Speaker 3 (26:27):
Credit is bloody great. Allowed to say that, yeah, we
we were wrong and last year I put the heat
to finish eighth and they won. Yeah, and I own that.
I could have not said that and just slipped it
under the race. True, but I own my mistakes on
this show.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
I'll respect I'll respect that. What do they do exceed expectations?
Speaker 1 (26:44):
Two words. Mitch mitch Owen has stepped up. Last season,
he was sort of he had a few good games.
This season, he was their most consistent player. He was unbelievable,
even got a few weeks with the ball. Amazing batsman.
And then the other thing was I think all their
experienced players sort of had a more consistency. Nathan Alis
had a bit more consistent, Chris Jordan had a bit
more consistency. Even Tim David remember last season he was

really bad. Back into the season, Tim David's been really good.
I think that even their older players just been a
bit more consistent. And they're keeping it simple. They haven't
really changed the batting order. They've they've Chawdrey stepped up,
so everyone just sort of stepped up at the right moment.

more work for Gerald. I think he'd be on board.

make finals. They are always like a six to seven
team and yeah, everything was just clicking for him, wasn't it.

Like it's similar to the heat last year. Their team
on paper outside of like Johnson and Barlett, is not
that good. And then they won the whole thing and.

They the Hurricanes nailed the important moments yep, like in
close games against the Reneades against the Heat they just
they won the big moments and it's little moments, but
they go a long way.

And teach look at the analysis. So here's how you know.
