Poongavu, a serene village near a church in Alappuzha. It’s where Rosamma, a woman in her sixties, had spent her entire life. Her husband had abandoned her when their children were still young. But Rosamma was not one to give up. She worked tirelessly in several homes and raised her children on her own.
When her children went their separate ways, Rosamma had one wish — companionship. Sixty was not an age to stop dreaming. She found someone who matched her heart and age. They decided to marry. Rosamma even bought a gold ornament for her wedding. She didn’t tell many people about it. There were just two weeks left for the wedding when suddenly, Rosamma went missing.
Four days later, the village was shocked — Rosamma, who was about to get married, had been murdered by her own brother and buried in their ancestral house. What drove him to such cruelty? Was it jealousy over her new beginning, or fear of losing family property? Rosamma’s world — built with years of love, sacrifice, and small savings — was destroyed in a moment of greed and hate.
