Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts is often described as Australia's gift to the world. But do we do enough to be respectful or mindful of Indigenous customs, traditions and obligations?
As a general rule, whether it's Baker Boy, Archie Moore or Aswan Reid, there are cultural protocols that should be observed. It's so important, the country's leading arts body, Creative Australia developed a guide to protect Indigenous traditional and contemporary expressions of culture and knowledge.
In this episode, Wiradjuri musician Ebony Williams, shares her experience around cultural protocols when engaging with Indigenous people in the arts.
This podcast is presented by Angelina Hurley and her co-hosts Tom Kirk and Grant Paulson.
