Vandaag vieren we de verjaardag van een van de beroemdste Nederlandse schilders ooit, namelijk Vincent van Gogh. Bij het 'Van Gogh Museum' in Amsterdam is het ook feest, want zij bestaan dit jaar alweer 50 jaar.
Lisa Smit, conservator van schilderijen bij het 'Van Gogh Museum', is vandaag bij ons en vertelt ons op deze speciale dag meer over het werk en het leven van van Gogh. Blijkbaar had van Gogh altijd een hele goede relatie met zijn broer Theo. ''Mensen zien van Gogh snel als een moeilijke man, die ruzie had met zijn vader en moeder, maar dat was lang niet altijd zo'', vertelt Lisa.
Vincent zijn kunst en manier van leven zijn vandaag de dag nog steeds een voorbeeld voor velen. Ook in deze tijd zijn er mensen die anderen inspireren met hun talent en bevlogenheid. Daarom wil het museum vijftig inspirerende personen trakteren op een echte 'Van Gogh Museum Edition'. Dit is een bijna niet van echt te onderscheiden van Gogh ter waarde van maar liefst 17.500 euro!
