Tijdens een avond in het schuurtje van Saif wordt Santiago doodgeschoten. Maar wie heeft dat gedaan? Was het Saif of deed Santiago dat zelf?
Saif (18) en Santiago (19) zijn goede vrienden. Omdat Santiago op straat leeft, biedt Saif aan dat hij wel in het schuurtje bij zijn moeder thuis kan wonen. Daar past precies een bank waar hij op kan slapen.
Omdat Saif al een tijd wordt bedreigd, koopt hij een wapen. Tijdens een avond in het schuurtje spelen de twee met het wapen. Volgens Saif richt zijn vriend het wapen op zijn eigen hoofd, waarna hij de trekker overhaalt. Vlak daarna is Santiago dood.
Maar klopt dat wel? Of was het Saif die per ongeluk zijn goede vriend doodschoot? Daarover moeten de rechters oordelen.
Verslaggever Jorina Haspels volgt de zaak namens AD Haagsche Courant: „De familie van Santiago moet verderleven met dit verlies, dat moet je nooit vergeten bij dit soort zaken. Door dat wapen dat Saif heeft gekocht, heeft Santiago nooit de kans gehad iets te maken van zijn leven.’’
