Denemarken is volgens sommige Nederlandse politici het ideale land. En dan met name vanwege het Deense model. Ze doen niet mee met de Euro, en het belangrijkste voor deze politici: ze hoeven niet mee te doen met de afspraken op het gebied van migratie. Maar wat heeft Denemarken daar nou werkelijk aan. Wat kan Nederland ervan leren? En hoe wordt hier in Europa naar gekeken?
Om daar meer duidelijkheid over te krijgen praat Geert Jan Hahn met Claes de Vreese. Zelf afkomstig uit Denemarken maar al 25 jaar wonend in Nederland. Hij is hoogleraar politieke communicatie aan de Universiteit van Amsterdam en beschrijft hoe Denemarken aan die uitzonderingspositie is gekomen, en waarom dat anders is dan Nederland nu wil.
