Jill Brattain has become an ALS advocate after losing her husband, Dave, to ALS in 2019. Also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is 100% fatal with no hope and no cure. Jill shares her amazing journey as Dave’s spouse and caregiver. She marvels that even with a terminal illness, joy is present.
With excellent palliative care and a team of caring professionals, a model is used that could be the standard for anyone with a life-threatening illness. Jill is a brave woman, turning her pain into intentional purpose, so others do not need to reinvent the wheel.
