En marzo de 2020, Albina Cabrera tuvo la suerte de asistir a la presentación de Mon Laferte en la Celebración del Día de la Mujer en la Ciudad de México. Sin saberlo, apenas dos días después, una pandemia inesperada cambiaría sus planes de mudarse a Seattle. Una vez establecida en su nuevo hogar, Albina, co-host de El Sonido y Latin American Content Producer de KEXP, reflexiona sobre su viaje al dejar su país atrás y emprender una misión para preservar las canciones que mantienen vivos sus recuerdos.
