A procuradora-geral dos EUA, Pam Bondi, informou o Presidente Donald Trump, numa reunião na primavera, de que o seu nome aparece em ficheiros recentemente analisados no âmbito do caso Epstein. O nome de Trump, assim como o de outras figuras públicas, surgiu em documentos anteriormente não divulgados ligados ao escândalo Epstein. Apesar disso, afirmaram que nada nos documentos justifica abrir nova investigação ou processo judicial. O diretor de comunicação da Casa Branca, Steven Cheung, recusou comentar o conteúdo da reunião, mas garantiu que as acusações são “fake news”.
