Cada McCoy's long friendship with artist Tate Nation melded with long hours of pandemic isolation on an upper South Carolina mountainside sparked the creation of a multitude of handcrafted wool rugs. Inspired by Tate's bright colors and variety of designs perfectly suited for such large fiber art projects, Cada translated his lively contemporary paintings into this traditional textile medium. In addition to several rugs of her own design, the collection now boasts seven Tate Nation adaptations.
And now YOU can meet the artists at a two-day exhibit featuring Cada's punch needle hooked wool rugs displayed alongside Tate's original paintings and prints that inspired each one.
ImagiNation: An Exhibit of Charleston Artist Tate Nation's Joyful Paintings Reimagined into Vibrant Rugs by Cada McCoy on Oct 21 and Oct 22 at the Cannon Street Arts Center in downtown Charleston. Free admission and parking!

Intentionally Disturbing
Join me on this podcast as I navigate the murky waters of human behavior, current events, and personal anecdotes through in-depth interviews with incredible people—all served with a generous helping of sarcasm and satire. After years as a forensic and clinical psychologist, I offer a unique interview style and a low tolerance for bullshit, quickly steering conversations toward depth and darkness. I honor the seriousness while also appreciating wit. I’m your guide through the twisted labyrinth of the human psyche, armed with dark humor and biting wit.
