Milhares de portugueses vendem a sua habitação própria e permanente e acabam por ter de entregar dezenas (ou até centenas) de milhares de euros ao Estado em mais-valias. O que poucos sabem é que, se forem reformados ou tiverem mais de 65 anos, há uma forma totalmente legal de ficar isento desse imposto.
Na reportagem do Contas-poupança desta semana explicamos como funciona esta alternativa e quais as condições: tem de aplicar o valor da venda (ou parte dele) num fundo de pensões, seguro de vida financeiro ou produto equivalente com prestações regulares, no prazo máximo de seis meses após a venda.
Com esta opção, pode transformar o valor da venda numa renda mensal vitalícia e, ao mesmo tempo, evitar pagar mais-valias — o que pode significar poupanças de dezenas de milhares de euros.
