Um levantamento do Centro de Estudos e Dados sobre Desigualdades Raciais (Cedra), com base em dados da Pesquisa Nacional por Amostra de Domicílios (PNAD) do IBGE, aponta que o crescimento salarial geral no Brasil não tem sido suficiente para reduzir a persistente desigualdade salarial entre trabalhadores negros e brancos.
A renda média do trabalho principal de pessoas negras no Brasil, entre 2012 e 2023, correspondeu a apenas 58,3% (ou cerca de 58% a 60%) da renda de pessoas brancas. Além disso, apenas um em cada 48 trabalhadores negros ocupa cargos de liderança, uma proporção muito menor em comparação com trabalhadores não negros.
Em entrevista à Rádio Eldorado, Fernando Soares, Gerente de Projetos, Operações e Dados do Mover, afirma que “se a gente olhar que temos 56% da população brasileira, negra, e não encontramos ninguém para assumir um cargo de liderança, o problema está no processo das empresas”
