Após 10 dias de trabalho, o gabinete de crise formado para combater os casos de contaminação por metanol em bebidas adulteradas no Estado de São Paulo ainda não identificou a origem dos produtos falsificados. Até agora, a Vigilância Sanitária Estadual interditou 13 bares, adegas e distribuidoras entre os 26 estabelecimentos fiscalizados. Em entrevista à Rádio Eldorado, o diretor da Associação Brasileira de Bares e Restaurantes em São Paulo (Abrasel-SP), Gabriel Pinheiro, disse que 76% dos bares conseguiram manter o faturamento no primeiro fim de semana após a divulgação dos primeiros casos, enquanto 24% registraram queda. Segundo ele, 15 mil associados passaram por treinamentos para identificar bebidas adulteradas. Entre as medidas adotadas, estão a exibição da nota fiscal do fornecedor e até funcionários que experimentam bebidas diante do consumidor.
