O relator da Proposta de Emenda à Constituição (PEC) da Segurança Pública na Câmara, deputado Mendonça Filho, confirmou nesta sexta-feira, em entrevista à Rádio Eldorado, que vai apresentar o relatório final sobre o tema no dia 04 de dezembro. O texto foi enviado pelo governo em abril e amplia a participação federal na política de segurança pública. Após a megaoperação que matou 121 pessoas nesta semana no Rio de Janeiro, o presidente da Câmara, Hugo Motta, manifestou a intenção de concluir a votação da proposta ainda neste ano. Mendonça Filho criticou o que chamou de “centralização em Brasília” e defendeu “um regime de colaboração entre todos os entes federados”. Para ele, o papel do governo federal deve o de integrar os sistema de inteligência e de banco de dados, além de reforçar a estrutura do sistema penitenciário.
