Um ano após a concessão à iniciativa privada, a Companhia de Saneamento Básico do Estado de São Paulo (Sabesp), diz que as 3 mil demissões realizadas no período foram, em sua maioria, voluntárias. A empresa também alega ter gerado 7,5 mil empregos diretos e 40 mil indiretos. Os dados foram apresentados nesta segunda-feira pela diretora-executiva de Relações Institucionais e Sustentabilidade da Sabesp, Samanta Souza, durante entrevista à Rádio Eldorado. Segundo ela, a companhia chegou ao 5º lugar entre as empresas que mais investem no Brasil. O total previsto entre 2024 e 2029, ano para o qual foi estabelecida a meta de universalização do saneamento no Estado, chega a R$ 70 bilhões.
