O governo do presidente Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) mandou o Orçamento de 2026 para o Congresso com R$ 1,014 bilhão para o fundo eleitoral. A comissão aprovou uma instrução normativa colocando mais R$ 2,934 bilhões das emendas de bancada estadual e mais R$ 1,014 bilhão das despesas não obrigatórios do Poder Executivo para aumentar a cifra.
