The 'golden calf' was a bad idea.
Coming down the mountain, Moses heard the sound of fighting below.
But it wasn't fighting - it was a bunch of people praising an idol.
The people had broken God's law. Terribly. Egregiously.
And to demonstrate the severity of what they'd done, Moses shattered the 10 Commandments before their eyes.
