Maurice Klein speaks with our Israeli tour guide Effi Yaacobi for an Israel update. Effi tells us about the current state of tourism to Israel, who is coming and the impact visiting the devastation and destruction has had on his clients. The IDF continues to roll through Gaza with great success destroying much of the Hamas terrorists military infrastructure and capacity putting pressure on Hamas to revive the ceasefire negotiations, with some improved prospects re the return of the hostages. Due to manpower strains, the Israel government has approved a plan to temporarily extend compulsory IDF military service for men from 32 months to 36 months. With the wars and economic issues Israel is subsequently having to contend with, Google is displaying absolute confidence in Israel with advanced talks to buy Israel tech company WIZ for US twenty three billion dollars, in what will be the biggest ever Israel tech acquisition, that will also generate a tax windfall during the Gaza war.
