Faleceu hoje, dia 21 de outubro de 2025, Francisco Pinto Balsemão, aos 88 anos. Além de fundador do Expresso, da SIC e presidente do grupo Impresa, foi primeiro-ministro de Portugal e fundador do PSD. O atual primeiro-ministro, Luís Montenegro, à saída da reunião do Conselho Nacional do PSD prestou declarações à imprensa, recordando o percurso de Pinto Balsemão e agradecendo-lhe a proximidade até ao fim sempre com “uma palavra amiga, de estímulo, de apreciação e análise [...], nunca escondendo os seus pontos de vista”. O líder do Governo indicou ainda a vontade de declarar luto nacional.
