O ex-primeiro ministro, fundador do Expresso e da SIC, faleceu hoje, 21 de outubro de 2025, aos 88 anos. Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa enaltece a importância de Pinto Balsemão na área dos media, elogiando o seu espírito de inovador: “Não houve nada na comunicação social que Pinto Balsemão não tivesse tentado revolucionar”, aponta. Mas o Presidente da República não esquece o papel preponderante na mudança da ditadura para a democracia, já que foi co-autor “de mudanças da Constituição, da Lei de Imprensa, da Lei de Reunião, da Lei de Associação e da Lei da Liberdade Religiosa”
