Het is misschien een radicaal plan, maar volgens de bedenkers ervan zou het de gehele wachtrij op het stroomnet in één klap kunnen laten vervagen: introduceer meer prijsprikkels. Via een veiling zou stroom op piekmomenten duurder moeten worden, waardoor bedrijven beter gaan nadenken over het moment waarop ze gebruikmaken van stroom. Ook zou dit investeringen in bijvoorbeeld batterijen moeten stimuleren. Samen met energieredacteur Eva Rooijers bespreken we de voor- en nadelen van het plan. Precies een jaar geleden, op 11 december 2024, maakten overheden, corporaties en marktpartijen afspraken om 100.000 woningen per jaar te bouwen. Die doelen lijken ver uit zicht, nu de nieuwbouw achterblijft, veel huurwoningen worden uitgepond en corporaties tegen financiële grenzen aanlopen. Marktpartijen waarschuwen dat de doelen zonder verbeterd investeringsklimaat onhaalbaar zijn. Woningmarkt-redacteur Anna de Haas vertel wat er volgens hen moet gebeuren om de bouwdoelen wél te halen. Een van de twee verdachten in de rechtszaak tegen scheepsbouwer Damen blijkt de schoonzoon van president-commissaris Kommer Damen te zijn. Rutger D., de partner van Rose Damen, wordt verdacht van het omzeilen van sancties tegen Rusland.
