In de eerste van vier verkiezingsspecials van Toegevoegde Waarde bespreken Anna Dijkman en Marijn Jongsma een van de grootste verkiezingsthema’s: de woningmarkt. Voor deze aflevering schuift Bauke Schram aan, FD-verslaggever in Den Haag. Zij heeft alle verkiezingsplannen doorgenomen om te vertellen hoe partijen het woningtekort willen aanpakken.
In het gesprek proberen de drie het probleem terug te brengen tot een kwestie van vraag en aanbod. In hoeverre spelen bijvoorbeeld fiscale maatregelen, zoals de hypotheekrenteaftrek en het zwaarder belasten van vastgoedinvesteerders, een rol bij de komende verkiezingen?
Aan de aanbodkant gaat het onder meer om de vraag waarom bouwen in de praktijk zo moeizaam verloopt. Gaan partijen iets doen aan de verlieslatende bouwopgaven voor woningcorporaties? Of sleutelen ze aan de winst op grond via een planbatenheffing? Het komt allemaal aan bod in deze aflevering.
