O ministro Gilmar Mendes, do Supremo Tribunal Federal (STF), concedeu uma medida liminar nesta quarta-feira, 3, que altera o rito e torna mais difícil o impeachment de ministros do tribunal. Com o despacho, o decano se antecipou ao julgamento das ações movidas pelo Solidariedade e pela Associação de Magistrados Brasileiros (AMB), que serão analisadas no plenário virtual da Corte a partir da próxima sexta-feira, 12 de dezembro.
Por tratarem do mesmo assunto, as petições tramitam em conjunto. As autoras argumentam que as regras para o impedimento de ministros do Supremo não foram recebidas pela Constituição.
