Ein Schmerzmittel wird zur Partydroge, Ärzte fordern mehr Kontrolle. Doch die zuständige Behörde sieht weg. Warum?
Tramadol ist eines der am häufigsten verschriebenen Schmerzmittel in Deutschland. Es gilt als „schwaches“ Opioid, weil es nicht so schnell abhängig machen soll wie z.B. Morphium. Darum fällt es in Deutschland nicht unter das Betäubungsmittelgesetz.
Doch genau das macht es problematisch: Millionen Menschen nehmen Tramadol-Präparate. Viele unterschätzen das Suchtpotenzial und werden abhängig.
In dieser Folge von »Firewall« berichtet eine junge Frau, wie das Schmerzmittel für sie vom Segen zum Fluch wurde. Es geht darum, wie leicht es ist, das Medikament mit gefälschten Rezepten in Apotheken oder bei Dealern zu kaufen. Und um die Behörde, die das alles eigentlich verhindern soll.
