Speaker 1 (00:02):
Welcome back to the Football Today podcast, the Fan Tilda's Podcast.
We're calling ourselves. I'm your host, Lee McCallan, also known
as the Stats Guy. I'm here with Olivia Spicer. She's
pumping about well, I don't know if she's up and
about no sleep, but she's still made it into the office.
Speaker 2 (00:14):
We're here to talk about the amazing I guess the
Tilda's game.
Speaker 3 (00:19):
It was pretty crazy.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
It was an amazing game. I wouldn't say amazing for four,
but definitely an amazing game.
Speaker 3 (00:24):
On the edge of our seats. Definitely. I think most
Australia was after that game.
Speaker 1 (00:27):
Yeah, I think that Tilly just wanted to do that.
Just that. We'll get into it. The six five win
obviously that people were talking about. I think I just
wanted to keep everyone awake in the morning. I think
everyone was on the edge of their seats.
Speaker 3 (00:36):
I fell asleep and perform the first half.
Speaker 1 (00:39):
Yeah, exactly exactly. But anyway, we're going to get into
this throughout the cover the all the Olympic for women's football.
It's been awesome so far, so we're going to cover
the game wraps, a bit of player of the match,
the news, a bit of everything, So make sure you
listen to this, make sure you subscribe to our YouTube
channel as well. Still that road to one thousand, we're
going to get to that by the end of the Olympics.
I'm calling it. That's a big call. But why not
get around us. Definitely Matilda's fans, football fans in general,
(01:01):
we're covering it all. Make sure you listen to this
wherever you get your podcasts and on socials football today.
Are you all right, Olivia, let's get into the news
ticket to start with. Obviously, a three zero loss the
other day, the first game for the Matilda's a six
or five wins, so there's just been a roller coaster
every weekend for Matilda's fans.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
Yeah, that first game was rough. Look, I thought we
could have, you know, come out strong.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
I didn't.
Speaker 2 (01:21):
It wasn't strong that we're going to get the win
against Germany. But I didn't think we were going to
concede three goals and not even score one.
Speaker 3 (01:26):
I said it was gonna be two to one. Yeah,
that's really to win.
Speaker 1 (01:28):
We didn't even get a goal, so get a goal.
That was filthy. But at least there's lots of goals.
Speaker 2 (01:32):
In the Yeah, and then that game was against Zambia
was just a roller coaster ride.
Speaker 3 (01:37):
Yeah, don't know what happened there.
Speaker 1 (01:39):
Well, we'll break those games down. It just didn't after
we do the news ticket here. Next one, Canada officially
sacked their coach for the drone controversy. So we talked
about that last time. Apparently she's a bit unlucky because
it wasn't all her idea. But I feel like someone's
going to get in trouble for apparently that.
Speaker 3 (01:56):
It happened at the twenty twenty Olympics.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Is also the first time he's done.
Speaker 2 (02:00):
Tating scandals, right, And then people were saying, well, they
should get to qualify the Matildas should get the third
place medal.
Speaker 1 (02:06):
I think that is a great call. I think I
think Canada should even be allowing Olympics. We should. They
should just go straight through, I reckon. And they also
docked six points on the table for.
Speaker 3 (02:14):
The could be good for us later on, depending how
we go against the US.
Speaker 1 (02:18):
Yes, I think I think that'll really help us because
eight of the twelve teams go through Canada. Currently third
or even on zero point, I think because it still
goes by the difference I'm not.
Speaker 2 (02:27):
I don't think they're not going through because yeah, they haven't.
It doesn't say negative points.
Speaker 1 (02:31):
But it will be even if they win. I don't
think they can go through. So that's it's an interesting one.
But yeah, Canada, what are you doing? Just top stop
spying on teams on.
Speaker 3 (02:38):
New Zealand, Like not offends New Zealand, but you're not well?
Speaker 1 (02:41):
Yeah, last one in the newsticker. USA look amazing. I
have to talk about them because we have to play
the next game. Obviously Matilda's. We lost to Germany three nil,
then Germany lost to the USA four to one. They
are top of Group B, which is attilies group. I'm
a bit worried USA last World Cup of very average,
but they look back to the.
Speaker 2 (03:00):
I'm worried, like I think Emma Hayes has really come
in there and.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
He's a freak coach.
Speaker 2 (03:05):
Yeah, put some new life into them, I guess. But yeah,
I thought, honestly, I thought Germany would top the group
and I thought the USA, yeah, would come in second,
Matilda's third, depending on how it all went. But yeah,
USA looking amazing, which is scary for us because we
did not do well against Germany.
Speaker 1 (03:21):
Yeah, we might maybe we should just get a drone
that type like US USA on it, so somehow they
get the maybe we're doing a drone this is USA
tactic there. Yeah, they look awesome, so I'm a little
bit worried about us playing their next game. But we'll
see how we go. Hopefully just fix up the defense
as defense.
Speaker 3 (03:36):
And put Michelle Hayman on to stop.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
Yes, we will get into that all right, Game one rap,
We're going to do this a little bit quicker than
the second game. This was from a few days ago
and we lost, so we just saw losers Australia Neil
Germany three. I just wrote this at the top watching
this game until he didn't look like themselves. Really sloppy
passing and no connection at all, probably from midfield to
the final thod Do you think.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
There was just no connection.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
Every pass chain they try created just didn't work, always
getting stopped. We saw jewel Brand at jeweler Brand in there. Yep,
she was insane. Yeah she was running the show. Amazing
dribbling skills and pace for Germany. But yeah, I just
don't They just did not look like themselves at all.
Speaker 1 (04:12):
It's like like they've played a lot of football together,
this this squad, and it's like they were playing together
for the first time. I've never seen the Matilda's play
like that, especially with this team.
Speaker 2 (04:21):
Yeah, I don't know if there was Maybe Sam Kerr
wasn't there that. No, but you know, Seph Catley is
an amazing leader for the team and she was good.
But yeah, she wasn't great, So I think that really
put them on the back foot.
Speaker 3 (04:33):
Was not good.
Speaker 1 (04:34):
No, it wasn't good. Even the tactics by Germany. They've
been starting Alexandra Popp, who's I think a third leading
goal scrow all time in midfield. She was like an
offensive midfield roll at times. So that's how while they're going,
they just know where their players can play and things
like that. I would never have put her in midfield,
but it worked really well. Gorey was really good defensively
as a CDM role.
Speaker 2 (04:54):
Had to have her back after her injury spell. Yeah,
she's great for the team and I think she's just
really good with the girl She gets along with them,
especially for those younger players. Yeah, good leader, good guidance
and yeah she was great.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
Now, Yeah, I love Gary. I think that didn't help
us as well. I feel like we lost a bit
of our shape when she went off. I wouldn't maybe
because she's coming back from injury, but I wouldn't have
personally taken.
Speaker 3 (05:12):
I would have started Michelle Hayman as well.
Speaker 1 (05:14):
Yes, yeah, Haymond as soon as she came on looked
really dangerous. She had a few shots on goal. Obviously
we didn't create that many chances the Matildas.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
But I love Vine, but I don't think she should
be starting as well. She's definitely an impact sub.
Speaker 3 (05:27):
Yeah, she she has an experience, but we need those
strong leaders one of the stuff.
Speaker 1 (05:30):
Yeah, even though it was a while ago, Vine was
coming off the bench as an impact sub in the
world perfectly. It was a great range. Obviously we had
Sam Kerr then, Yeah, but you've got Hayman that you
just need to finish her rather than Vine can probably
set up a finisher.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
And then the other one was jerman I Roden here
they had two headed goals. Heading goals really need to
cover better, as we saw in the second game as well.
Set pieces, we'll go to a pretty tall team you see,
to stand in front of them.
Speaker 3 (05:54):
They're usually pretty good at that.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Yeah, usually van Egmulon and she's quite tall as well.
Good defensively there in the in the box. But yeah
I didn't have.
Speaker 1 (06:01):
That, No, not at all. So yeah, Germany win three
nil that one, which was brutal for all of us
as he's waking up at three and I was like,
one of my what.
Speaker 3 (06:09):
Watching with England in the Euros and it's a repeat, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (06:12):
It is, it is a little bit. We'll go play
of the match, I'll say just overall would probably be
Duela Branch. She got a goal, she set up another one.
She's so tall, but her dribbling skills is amazing. I
love watching her play.
Speaker 3 (06:23):
Yeah, same, Yeah, I didn't really watch her much until
you sort of brought her up.
Speaker 1 (06:26):
I looked into a bit more.
Speaker 2 (06:27):
She was insane, Yeah, really eye opening and a great
player for Germany.
Speaker 1 (06:30):
And then Matilda's player of the match.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
I'm going to go Gorey like you said, I think
she was great. Yeah, probably carried that defensively in the midfield,
unlike some of the other girls.
Speaker 3 (06:38):
So yeah, she was great.
Speaker 1 (06:39):
Love gory Yeah, no, awesome. All right, we've just quickly
gone through that game because we don't want to talk
about it anymore. Done, let's get into one of the
craziest games of all time. I woke up this morning
it was like, yes, surely that wasn't it was eleven goals.
If you did watch it and you thought you were
just dreaming, you weren't. Matilda's won this six five eleven goals.
One of the craziest games at all time. Movie. There
(07:00):
was no defense from me, No defense, no deed.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
I was comparing that to a local game down at Brunswick.
Speaker 3 (07:07):
That's how I felt it was.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
That's very funny.
Speaker 3 (07:10):
Yeah, where was the defense from either side?
Speaker 1 (07:13):
I think I think we need more games like this.
Speaker 3 (07:15):
Just no defense was honest, Yeah, it would have been.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
We wouldn't be in this good of a mood if
we lost, I think.
Speaker 2 (07:21):
But it was just we shouldn't be conceding five goals
against a sixty fourth ranked team in the world, especially
coming off our semi finals in the World Cup. Yes,
and five goals is ridiculous.
Speaker 1 (07:31):
Oh that's that's a real worry. Yeah, we wrote down
here really poor defensively, just made for a goldfest. Barbara Banda,
who I topped up before the tournament started, that's her
third Olympic hatrick. She's just an absolute free exampray does
Zambia legend, copper queen legend. She's got another hat trick.
The first goal, I think that was the best of
all the eleven where she scored.
Speaker 3 (07:48):
Way outside the forty forty seconds.
Speaker 1 (07:50):
In forty seconds in way outside the box, mckenzianna was
probably in the right spot, just hit the bottom part
of the bar. It went straight in.
Speaker 3 (07:56):
She wasn't saving. That's an impossible goal to save.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
So not a Macca there, but Barbara band It was
just absolutely awesome raining goals. Zambia just allowed too much space,
I think, and that's how they got up five too.
When I was five too, I think everyone.
Speaker 2 (08:08):
In I go back to fell asleep and then I
woke up again at like the eighty five.
Speaker 1 (08:13):
More like what's going on? Yeah? Five too? We can
never let Zambie get up. That's unbelievable, Like.
Speaker 2 (08:21):
Why like there was everyone was pushing forward too much,
not covering the back. I think at one point Ali
Carpenter was the only player back there against Barbara Banda,
which is like, how is that gonna?
Speaker 1 (08:30):
Like, yeah, yeah, I don't know, really, yeah, we're really worrisome.
It was amazing fight though I know that everyone would go, oh,
it is a worry we should be but the fact
that we got over the line is just unbelievable. Credit
to the fight, I'd say of Steph Catley who scored
two goals.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
She's incredible.
Speaker 2 (08:45):
She really picked it up as the team leader when
she had to. And yes, never say di attitude, they've
always had. Yeah, good on your Steph. And yeah when
she's taken that penalty, and like set pieces, you know
she's going to do.
Speaker 3 (08:55):
Great off those.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
Yeah. Absolutely. And then another one, Hayman. We've said this
all tournaments so far. She came on, instant impact, scored
a goal. It was can as an own goal, a
little back heel. I think they should probably count that
one as a goal. Usually if it's on target, they
din't have it. But definitely awesome efforts. She came on
and then she scores the ninth minute went and she
should be starting Olivia.
Speaker 2 (09:14):
She should be starting. I just love her story as well.
Out of the squad. Internationally, she hasn't played in the
World clip. I retired from she retired from international football.
She's just playing in the A League. She's not playing overseas,
you know, for the big club like Chelsea or Arsenal.
She's really stepped up for the Matildas, and yeah, amazing
to see as a leader. And yeah, great, great story
for the ages.
Speaker 1 (09:34):
Of Yeah, she was going absolutely nuts. I saw her
get around her partner afterwards. It was just it was beautiful.
She was she was really good. We did get a
little bit lucky. I didn't mention that with Steph Catley's goal,
like you said about the Brunswick Local sort of team
that goalkeeping the goalkeeper before the tournament started. Zambia's team
overall is actually I like their team. They've got good
and Dangie the most expensive player in the world, she's awesome.
(09:55):
You've got a few other players, obviously Barbara Banda. Then
midfield's okay, the goalkeeper doesn't up to local level. I
reckon before the thing who wants to beg goalkeeper had
to big out of it.
Speaker 2 (10:04):
It was giving local footage. When everyone's like, oh, no,
one wants to be goalkeeper. She's like, well, fin, I'll
do it.
Speaker 1 (10:09):
I'm only saying this because the main one, Steph Cutley,
took the freaking she's went up for like a sort
of footy mark and just gone straight. Yeah, but that
was not good and it might have cost them the
game or it would have probably been a drawer.
Speaker 2 (10:25):
To be honest, as a whole, I will say the
Matilda's it might be a bit on a fraud.
Speaker 1 (10:29):
Watch, Yeah, okay.
Speaker 2 (10:30):
And I do love the Matilla's, yes, trying to be
You're right though, Yeah, we should be playing a lot
better than we.
Speaker 3 (10:35):
Should be playing a lot better.
Speaker 2 (10:36):
But that was a great game to watch, I think
for tournament football. Great compared to the Germany game, which
was just depressing the whole way through.
Speaker 1 (10:42):
Well, at least we know if you're watching the Matilda's,
even if it's losing a winning there's gonna be lots
of goals. We've now considered eight goals in two games,
so I think you already mentioned this, But is that
do you think that's the biggest warrior Olivia? That the defense? Offensively,
all right, we didn't grow against Germany, but we know
we have some done offensive players. The defense is the worry.
Speaker 2 (10:58):
Germany's defense is quite strong, so didn't expect to get
a high scoring result first game warming up into the
tournament as well.
Speaker 3 (11:05):
That's just a worry. The defense.
Speaker 2 (11:06):
I don't we can't be having that, especially going into
the game like against the US, and if we do
make it to the next stage, if there's no defense,
we're not getting it through to like the medal stages.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
No, no, I agree. It's weird as well. You've got
obviously Alone and Kennedy Claire Hunt, who were maybe I
was gonna say, in their prime. They're pretty much their prime.
They've been dominating overseas as well, in the WSL and
in the frenchis League and things like that. That's really surprising
because in the World Cup defensively were great, they were great. Yeah,
I just I think they might be becoming a little bit
too attacking. Greg, you said they're just pushing a bit
(11:36):
too high. Maybe they were a bit too cocky against Zambia.
Speaker 3 (11:38):
That's what some reporters. Yeah, but I don't agree with.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
Yeah, I don't think they're getting ahead as in other
tactics were maybe a bit too attacking on it. I
don't think they're in their own heads about being too train.
Speaker 3 (11:47):
Needs to make subs earlier, bon Hayman earlier. Start her.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
Yeah, she's even experience because she's scored I think now
she's scored four goals across the Olympics. So yeah, So good.
Speaker 2 (11:57):
I think, yeah, surely Tony makes some changes get against
the US as well.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
It's the powerhouse of football. We shall see what happens.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
But yeah, overall wins are we we'll.
Speaker 3 (12:08):
Get the three points on the board, so we'll take that.
Speaker 1 (12:10):
Yeah, we really needed that wins because if we drew that,
we probably wouldn't want to get through.
Speaker 3 (12:14):
So there was do or die for US. Hans Zambias, Yeah.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
So awesome effort. Player of the match.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
Who is it has to be? It's up there with
Hayman and Katy Haymond.
Speaker 1 (12:23):
The instant impact.
Speaker 2 (12:24):
Instant impact will say two goals pretty much. Yeah, and yeah,
that finish our ninetieth minute.
Speaker 1 (12:30):
Awesome. I was going to say, I'll go, I'll go Curtly,
I think Katlee just yeah, the cool under pressure penalty.
I know that mostball gals you should finish a penalty,
but under pressure, we've seen a lot of players miss.
And then the free kick and just yes, she was
really calm. The rest of the defense sort of looked
a bit wayward, and but Katlee on her side.
Speaker 3 (12:47):
Was really great. That's what I love about Katley. She's
just cool, calm, collected.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
She shines in those moments of high pressure, and yeah,
she knows how to get the job.
Speaker 3 (12:54):
Done when she has to.
Speaker 1 (12:55):
Yeah. Absolutely, yeah, play with the match. But thank god
we won. We are still alive. This podcast wouldn't be
alive if Hayman didn't score that that goal. So thank
you very much, Michelle Hammond, you're keeping us alive. We
o you a beer or a drinker or something whatever
you drink the podcast. Yeah, we'll give you a nice
sparkling water. All right, that's the game wraps. We'll get
(13:18):
into some big questions because we've been talking about these
all morning since we've come in. First big question, I
ask you, Olivia, should Haymond start next game?
Speaker 2 (13:25):
Wellyeah, I already said it. Yeah, one hundred and ten percent.
I think, yeah, it just has to be done.
Speaker 3 (13:29):
Player up there.
Speaker 2 (13:31):
You see, as soon as she gets on, she will
score or at least have those shots. Yep, we're not
doing that without her in my opinion. And yeah, it's
easy easy, yes for.
Speaker 1 (13:39):
Me, I think. Yeah. Out of everyone in the whole team,
you've obviously got really good playmakers like Rasso board, but
in terms of finishing, Haymen like people go oh she
plays in the alien womends she's still freak. She dominates
in the Alien women's to the most goals and things
like that. People people even before last year, we oh,
I forgot about Michell Hammond. She is an absolute start.
I think she needs the start. So hopefully next game
(14:00):
we wake up at three and we see Michelle Haymond starting. Yeah,
so that's it'll be very nice next one. We sort
of touched on this, but what changes need to happen? Defensively?
Speaker 2 (14:09):
I like Hunt and Kennedy at the back. I think
they're strong their experience. I wouldn't say just keep them
on obviously, but just stay.
Speaker 3 (14:16):
Back, guys.
Speaker 1 (14:16):
Yeah, Like think of defense first, Yeah, before offense.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Hold, let the others do the work up the wing.
I think we're not using the wings enough as well.
I think they're playing out the corridor a lot. Yeah,
they just need to hold. Like having Ali coming to
sprint back with no one else there against like Bander,
that's you can't be having that.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Yeah, especially, Yeah, we got really good pacy players. You
need to stay back a little bit. I do don't
mind Ali Carpent running up because she's so crazy, but
I feel like she's getting up towards we're having like
two left minutes. Yeah, exactly, which is a bit of
a worry. Sorry, right right, sorry, yeah right, So that's
a little bit of a worry. So but I agree,
don't need to change the actual players, just the mindset.
Speaker 2 (14:54):
Maybe agreed, and hopefully Tony comes in with a more
defensive play style.
Speaker 1 (14:58):
Yeah. Yeah, people, A few people are questioning TG turning
get stars. I still think he's I still think it's
all right, and he's a great people person. I just
think he needs to tinker with his mindset on who's
two starts and things like that.
Speaker 3 (15:09):
Make changes a bit more.
Speaker 1 (15:10):
Yeah, even at halftime, especially if you're losing like this guy,
you should be on the front foot at half time.
Maybe not the fifty seven or fifties minute. Last big
question I wrote in here are Australia is still a
metal chance. I don't even know who I want to
answer this.
Speaker 3 (15:23):
But I don't think so.
Speaker 1 (15:26):
Okay, I'm the biggest I love.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
The Matilda's like I will be delusional forever. They will
get a medal. But I just I think they can't
look too far ahead. They need to be focusing on
one game, one game at a time. Yeah, they can't
be looking too far ahead or else it's just going
to get away from them, and that's what some reporters
are saying.
Speaker 1 (15:46):
Yeah, well, I think there were some reporters that went
a little bit too far, Like I don't think any
of these players are ahead of themselves, but they're not
cocky and things like that. They're very ground, very humble.
Just I think the way they're playing is just a
little bit off and they just haven't really settled themselves.
So I think that's that's the main.
Speaker 2 (16:01):
Making it out of the group is the first focus.
And then yeah, game by game, even if they make
it to the Semis, and I think that it's not
going to be a successful tournament. They don't want to
finish fourth or lower because we've had that before.
Speaker 1 (16:13):
Yeah, I still think they'll be aiming for the medal.
I see gold at the start, but that's definitely not
happy anymore. I think I'm looking at the metal chances.
I'd be saying US, even though Germany lost to the US,
I'd still say they're going to be right up there.
Then you've got Spain who Germany?
Speaker 3 (16:26):
For me?
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Yeah, US, Spain, Germany the best three at the moment. Japan,
I reckon is a sneaky one, and then France obviously
the home team and they've got really good teams, so.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Big going to Belo.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
Yes to being is still a medal chance. But I
think we need to draw to the US somehow, somehow,
because they just beat Germany four one. If we draw
to the US it or just catapult a bit of confidence.
I think that'll help us out for the rest of the.
Speaker 2 (16:48):
Tournament, because yeah, even though they got the win last night,
I wouldn't say that's a big confidence boost conceiving five
goals against the sixty fourth rank team.
Speaker 1 (16:54):
No, yeah, that was that was my reaction seeing the
score this morning. I was like, oh we won, oh
six five? Oh my god.
Speaker 3 (17:00):
So that was me when Carlton bet North Melbourne.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
Yeah, yeah, exactly, it's exactly the same. All right, that's
the big questions done. We'll finish off the show with
the draw. From here. This is I've just put this
in there just to explain what the Matilda's if they're
going to get through, how they're going to get through
and things like that. So Tilly's currently third with the
worst goal difference out of all third place teams.
Speaker 3 (17:17):
I'm pretty sure what are you doing let me.
Speaker 1 (17:19):
Just double check that. Yep, So we are lucky that
I didn't even notice well this morning that Canada did
lose six points, so I think if we draw, even
if we don't, we still get through. Is that wrong?
Speaker 3 (17:31):
Yes, because the Canada situation should happen.
Speaker 1 (17:33):
Because two out of the three third places will get through,
I said at the start of this one, and I
think that's stupid.
Speaker 2 (17:39):
I'm like, yes, yes, third place, it.
Speaker 1 (17:43):
Even fourth place.
Speaker 3 (17:44):
Somehowambia gets the piece of the I think.
Speaker 1 (17:47):
All twelve teams should make it through. That very stupid.
I'm just being a very biased. But yeah, Zambi, Zambers.
I can't even say Zambia. Zambia. I think should lose
to Germany. That's the last game in our group, hope,
so that lots in unless Zambia somehows called five goals again,
which I don't think they will. Germany's defense is too good,
So that puts Zambia in fourth in Group B for
Australia and then would yeah, lock in. I don't think
(18:08):
we can go anywhere but third. Yeah, Canada, we are lucky.
I think that Canada have that did use their jones,
so thank you for using your drone and helping us
get to the knockout stages. I think even if we lose,
I'm just having a look. That Australia should make it
through would be pretty unlucky. But to lock it in
a draw to a point from the USA game is
definitely the goal. They'll be thinking they want to win,
(18:28):
but the way they're playing, I'm very worried about how
the goals.
Speaker 2 (18:31):
It's the goal conceding for me, Like, I know the
US can score. Obviously they've got four against Germany exactly,
So to have that, yeah, just a point.
Speaker 3 (18:41):
I'm not asked for a win here.
Speaker 1 (18:42):
Yeah we'd love it, but yeah, maybe six another six,
five wins. But as you said, I think the standard
will be a bit better than the Brunswick, the local team,
poor Brunswick. I don't know why we from there. All right,
that's the draw from here. The Matilda's will be backing
very hard and we'll be back for a preview show
on Thursday. I think Friday morning is the next one
three a m for US, So Olivia won't be getting
(19:03):
any more sleep this week. You've got the Olympics, all.
Speaker 3 (19:06):
The Olympics all happening.
Speaker 1 (19:06):
The Olympics the f one.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
You the summer break.
Speaker 1 (19:09):
Now, so you're going a bit more sleep. That's perfect
for Australia. All right, that's it for the Football Today Show.
We'll be yet back with this. As I said on
Thursday for a big previous show, I reckon we'll get
Aeron Smith as well. Lives in France, so she I
feel like she won't be very happy because she's over
there and cheering them on. But I think that's it.
Thank you very much, Joe behind the camera, Thanks O Liva,
Thanks Liam, awesome, thanks to me and go the till
It's Football Today is out.
