Speaker 1 (00:05):
Welcome to this week sixteen Football Friday edition of the
From the Podium podcast. I'm Gabe Kollura. Today was the
final day of practice of the week here at the
frigid Cross Country Mortgage Campus in Borea, as the Browns
prepared to take on the Buffalo Bills at home this
coming Sunday at Huntington Bank Field. On this episode, you'll
hear from head coach Kevin Stefanski, offensive line coach Mike Bloomgren,
(00:27):
cornerbacks coach Brandon Lynch, running back Quinn Shawn Judkins, defensive
tackle Mason Graham, and defensive end Miles Garrett. We'll start
with your head coach, Kevin Stefanski.
Speaker 2 (00:36):
Okay, good work out there in the conditions today when
was Alan snows, so the footing guys really had to
work on that. So I thought that was really good
work by the team. Obviously, work week's not done, got
work to do tomorrow, but it really pleased with the
guys and the details and understanding everybody's has to do
(01:00):
their job in a game like this and understand what's
at stake all those things. So still finishing touches tomorrow,
but please with the work that the guys put in
this week. So with that, I'll take any questions what
are you going to do right hard? H need to
see really how come we come out of it the
next forty eight.
Speaker 3 (01:19):
Able to play and the active you anticipate.
Speaker 2 (01:22):
In rotation, yes, but need to see how we do
the next forty eight hours, you know, having.
Speaker 4 (01:30):
To do again without Denzil you know when you're going
against Josh Allen, I'm talking about that.
Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah, as you can imagine, Mary Kay, you want all
your guys at the game. Not realistic in December football.
So he's trying real hard to get back and you
can't rush those type of things. But we trust the
guys that are out.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
There right pretty good.
Speaker 6 (01:52):
So just what did what did the week look like
for you?
Speaker 2 (01:56):
Uh, he's pushing very hard. As you know, with all injuries,
you have to take a lot of things, you know,
with how they look, how they're pushing through it. So
it's it's not a lack of one two and in
this case just not yet ready of the running back situation.
Speaker 7 (02:11):
You know, fill him out and still throw him on high.
Speaker 8 (02:14):
Are how much you know rocket Just I mean, is
there's some desire to see maybe what a little bit
of what he I know he put in the opener,
but yeah, see a little bit more of what.
Speaker 2 (02:25):
He can do in games. Yeah, we trust Rocket. He
he's ready to roll. Obviously he was ready to go
last week. I don't think we possessed the ball enough
on offense to really get a true look at him.
We were kind of So if you have a s
a series where you can go rotate a guy in, uh,
if there's a longer series where he can go in,
(02:45):
I do. I do anticipate him playing and when he's
in there, I do. You know, we trust him. He
knows what to do. He's been with us, uh really
all season long.
Speaker 3 (02:53):
Practice Windo, but I think he's out of tweets.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
Donalds does just all part of his rehabit being.
Speaker 3 (03:00):
Different that he would have been able to do, you know,
with the records window.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
I think just being on the field with U, his teammates,
the other walk through those types of things.
Speaker 9 (03:10):
Yeah, you guys have to show or just want the things.
Speaker 2 (03:17):
Yeah, I think we'll make that decision when the window
closes it, which I think is next week. I think
you said.
Speaker 7 (03:22):
Earlier this week.
Speaker 10 (03:23):
With Jack and the concussion front, obviously it's pretty black
and white. But have you guys consider him shutting him
down when you're at all.
Speaker 2 (03:29):
Yeah, we've I obviously we talk about all those type
of things, but uh, I'll just make sure that we
keep following the protocol and doing what's best for our guys.
Speaker 11 (03:39):
When he's seeing fewer passes past based passoting opportunities per
Sack and some of the other guys he's he's chasing
for that record, how does how does that add to
to what you're seeing?
Speaker 7 (03:50):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (03:50):
I think and you guys have heard me talk about this,
and uh, you don't need me to tell you this,
but what he's doing with the degree of difficulty, with
all the context around it is as is so impressive,
and I do think you need to look closely at
those type of things and how many opportunities he's getting
and the you know, the win rate is probably the
(04:11):
most important thing to see when you're talking about these things.
You know, I've been really proud of Miles in a
lot of areas, but also as he's working towards this goal,
which is an amazing, incredible and individual goal, he has
not put that in front of the team's goals. He
wants to win so badly if it can happen and
(04:33):
in a win, you know, that's that's what's most important
to him. That's that's what drives him. And you see
that in how he plays, you know, every down as
opposed to just those passed down. So I think that's
a great form of leadership for your teammates. It's not outward,
you don't have to say it, but just how you
play down and down out I think speaks volumes of
(04:55):
the type of player you are.
Speaker 4 (04:57):
What happens if he gets the award, I mean, do
you guys have something planned.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
Or can you I have no idea, not my department.
Speaker 12 (05:05):
Mike Lumgren has talked about how this this has been
probably the toughest season of his career just because of
all the injuries upfront and all changing piece of parts,
but also highlighted just how valuable Jewel's been and that
when there has been so much change, we ask about
all the time, just how how much of what constant
has he been to sort of keep something and.
Speaker 10 (05:25):
Sing with that?
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Yeah, I mean, not much left to say about Joel
and what he's doing, and his level of play has
been so consistent the whole time I've been with him,
just the everything he does and the way he moves,
and the.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
And the.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Intentionality he has and everything he does. It doesn't happen
by accidents. To play this many years and to play
at that high level, it just doesn't happen. And I
think it speaks to how he takes care of his body.
I think it speaks to how he works during the
week to get himself ready. But Yeah, provides incredible value
to this football team on and off the field in
(06:06):
maturity Miles as he has taken the route.
Speaker 13 (06:10):
To the sack record.
Speaker 2 (06:12):
I mean, I've seen maturity in Miles over the course
of time because it's the natural progression we have. But
I don't view it in the lens of his pursuit
of of of a record or those type of things.
I just viewed in the how he approaches his craft
is how what I would tell.
Speaker 7 (06:32):
Yous with Kinkaid and Knocks Knocks, just how unique is
it for them and just how you know, how valuable
are those two guys.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Yeah, they target those guys guys quite a bit. Both
really talented in their own right, so they really have
it feels like one in one a and you can
tell me who's who but they trust both guys. They
put them at the point of attack in the run game,
they put them, uh, you know, where they're getting the
ball in the pass game. So they provide great value,
(07:06):
really good players.
Speaker 7 (07:09):
Jim mentioned, you know.
Speaker 6 (07:10):
Mason soldiering through the rivageery and then dealing with the
Carson still dealing with that ankle, and the toughness that
that those two guys have shown, I mean for rookies.
Speaker 10 (07:19):
How how does the press have you guys been with.
Speaker 2 (07:22):
Those two guys in particula? Yeah, incredible. I think it
speaks volumes of of who they are as competitors. It's
they're they're made from the right stuff. That's the exciting
part of Those two guys will be at the center
of your defense for a very long time, and they
bring an attitude to our defense. They bring an attitude
to our football team. I think they bring an attitude
(07:43):
towards the organization just of they will not be you know,
denied from this sport. Sometimes you're hurting, but but they are.
They're great testaments for our players players in the NFL,
and certainly these two guys that play through a lot
of injuries. They're not they're not nearly one hundred percent,
but they're you know, they will not be taken off
(08:05):
the field.
Speaker 14 (08:08):
How did your door kind of.
Speaker 4 (08:09):
Come through the week trying to rebound from from the
game that he had?
Speaker 12 (08:12):
What did What were you seeing in Himoi?
Speaker 2 (08:14):
Ye, same guy every day, Mary kay. Which is what
you appreciate about quarterbacks, that you're going to have days
that you want back and the next day you're you're,
you're back at it. You're you're right back on the
proverbial horse. And that's who he's been, you know, So
I'm not surprised. Okay, thank you guys.
Speaker 1 (08:33):
Up next, here's your offensive line coach Mike Bloomgren, who
spoke on keeping a consistent level of play despite all
the injuries.
Speaker 4 (08:39):
What kind of challenges has it have it been for
you to have to deal with all the upheople on
the offensive line?
Speaker 15 (08:48):
Upheaval?
Speaker 16 (08:51):
You know, Mary Kay, we know that that's this league.
We know that, like, injuries are part of our game
and it's always got to be next man up. This
has been the most challenging year of my coaching career,
quite frankly, and has not been easy. A lot of
change going on around the room. But again, these guys
(09:11):
do step up and they keep fighting, and they over
communicate the line scrimmage for the new people, and they
try to do everything to get everybody on the same page.
I'm so thankful for the guys in the room and
the character of the room.
Speaker 15 (09:23):
I love having, you.
Speaker 16 (09:25):
Know, coach Ben Wilkerson and their coach Sanders Davison there,
And I could not I don't think I can put
into words the impact that Joel Botonio has in the room.
You know, he is a player coach like he is
doing so many roles. He is so good and that
room collectively grows these young players. And that's why when
(09:46):
a guy like Garrett gets thrown in with a battlefield promotion,
gets promoted to the active roster on Saturday, and then
comes in the game on Sunday and has a pretty
good game, because this room has been growing him and
they do care so much about each other.
Speaker 15 (10:00):
And that's been one of the really fun things.
Speaker 14 (10:03):
Mike, you call.
Speaker 7 (10:04):
You talked in the off season when about how excited
you were to get to work with Joel. Now that
you almost had a full season, I mean, can you
put can you describe how much maybe.
Speaker 17 (10:17):
It's exceeded expectations just you know.
Speaker 16 (10:20):
Kind of Yeah, I knew, I knew the gift that
it would be, but it is. It has far exceeded that.
It has been one of the joys of my coaching
career and honors of my coaching career to get to
work with Joel.
Speaker 13 (10:32):
Talking about coming back that year.
Speaker 15 (10:34):
Not yet it's coming.
Speaker 18 (10:37):
Like, how have you seen uh Luke kind of step
into the starting roll upstenter and and really learned throughout.
Speaker 12 (10:43):
The whole season ready for this.
Speaker 16 (10:45):
Yeah, uh Luke has prepared like a starter all year.
He's a guy that has also been very coach like
for a long time. You know, he had the the
moniker of coach whip and uh sometimes it was positive,
sometimes it was not. But no, in all jokes aside,
the kid is it prepares like a pro. He does
things the right way and because of that that has
(11:08):
allowed him to step in and really lead us and
get us on the same page. Because I do think
like we have all got to see the game through
once in our eyes, and it's going to be the
centers and the things that our centers are doing right
now from protections and cans at the line of scrimmage
and some of the things we're putting on them, Like,
you cannot just throw any random guy in there. It's
(11:28):
a guy that's got to know the game plan and
own the game plan inside out. And he's doing a
good job with that. And you know, I think some
of that is his the way he prepares. I think
some of it is being under ethan posic. You know,
Poe was amazing in his preparation and his attention to
detail and the game plan. You talk about the culture
of the room again, like I don't know if this
(11:49):
story has been told, but with Poe on the ground,
not even in the cart yet, he's telling Whip what
to expect and what this means when this hands down,
and he's giving him every tip that he's learned from
the first half of that game.
Speaker 15 (12:03):
And again, that's who Poe is.
Speaker 16 (12:04):
Poe just loves the Browns, He loves his teammates and
was trying to give Whip every answer he could to
the test.
Speaker 10 (12:11):
When you guys made that decision a few to rotate
Whyett and seven? First of all, were you what did
you want to see out of seven? And then also
what was your message to Wyatt?
Speaker 16 (12:21):
You know, I think keV spoke to that and really
done a good job kind of summing that up for Wyatt,
Like just like everybody, like we're always talking about like
what can we do to get these guys to play
even better, like to be the best version of themselves
every week? And that was that was really the challenge
to why it is like, hey man.
Speaker 15 (12:37):
Like we know the player that you are. I want
to get it out of you. Ever play.
Speaker 2 (12:44):
Some of those those those.
Speaker 3 (12:48):
Post and applotations, especially on that's when they show up,
show everybody at the line, then they kind of back
up out of it. Uh as a somebody wis the
offensive line? Where are some of the teaching points because
that stuff like you don't know, you know, with eight
guys on the line, you don't know who's gonna come,
if everyone's gonna come or not. So what are some
of the kind of the teaching points that you use
to kind of make sure that you mitigate the damage
or so to speak.
Speaker 16 (13:07):
Yeah, I think it's a great question, and some of it,
like I certainly can't tell you before this game, but
there are some things that we're seeing and but the
biggest thing is, like you gotta know, like those guys
in the back end they have thirty years of collective
experience playing under Sean like in Shawn's system, and they
lie to you very often with their initial alignment. And
(13:28):
you know, so again seeing all all the tips that
we can pre snap from everybody's alignment right on down
the line, those are things that got to talk to us.
And they do a very good job of not just
the safeties, not just the corners, but the linebackers as well,
really not telling the story pre snap.
Speaker 3 (13:47):
Where from even like a like an offensive alignment. You know,
when you know you might expect, you might be anticipating something,
but then something else happens. Like how big and how
important is it for you guys like for them to
have like a post snap awareness and maybe adjusted.
Speaker 15 (13:58):
On the flat of absolutely absolutely critical.
Speaker 16 (14:01):
And that's the nice thing about you know, some of
our combinations, our ability to you know, see a little,
see a lot, see a lot, see nothing, and making
sure that their eyes are in the right place so
that we can get to that secondary response. You know,
we've talked in here about TRIPLEA before alignment, assignment and adjustment,
and for an offensive lineman, that's so key is knowing
what that adjustment's going to be anticipating by what you
see pre snap, but certainly be being able to react
(14:23):
post snap as that ball turns over in those fractional
seconds of getting to our work and making sure we're
giving a.
Speaker 15 (14:28):
Path to Q in the run game.
Speaker 16 (14:30):
Protectionally pictures going to change too, Like we know that,
and look, that's life in the big city.
Speaker 15 (14:36):
We get it. But we've got to know where our
eyes need to be so that we can do our job.
Speaker 4 (14:41):
Two questions real quickly. You don't mind the first one
when you're talking about Joel and you know, mentioning that
you will talk to him about coming back next year.
Just how high a level is he playing at this
year in his.
Speaker 12 (14:53):
One over twelfth season or whatever it is.
Speaker 16 (14:55):
Yeah, I wouldn't trade him for anybody. That's the bottom line. Like,
not just how I've talked about feeling about him in
the meeting room and what he does for the Browns,
but his play on Sundays has been awesome, you know,
And I don't know, like I don't know what qualifies you.
Speaker 15 (15:10):
For a Pro Bowl.
Speaker 16 (15:11):
We've talked about like all these things, but if he's
not it, they're not seeing what we're seeing. Like he
does so much for the Browns. The other thing like
that goes without being talked about much. You guys are
a practice, you see, like Daisy's practicing and Dais he's not.
And his ability because of his experience to just jump
in there on Sundays and do his job when he
couldn't walk on a Tuesday is crazy like and I'm
(15:33):
just blown away by him every week, the way that
he fights for the Browns and his teammates. So much
respect for Joe Botonio.
Speaker 12 (15:41):
And then my second question is.
Speaker 4 (15:44):
I think that Ethan was helping with sliding the protections
when he was in there for the first few games
of Strutor, And with him not in there, what have
you guys done with the sliding protection responsibility?
Speaker 16 (15:57):
So Whip's still doing a ton of things for us,
Whipsie and a lot of it and uh, really driving
the ship, that's what That's what we've put on the
center position now and he's doing a great job with it.
Speaker 2 (16:10):
Kim come in there that left tackle squad.
Speaker 7 (16:15):
He's been one of the guys that, like Joel, has
sort of become sort of a a you know, a
stable pie's role. How do you see him sort of
adjust and you know, kind of solidified himself.
Speaker 16 (16:26):
Well qualify as a stable piece in twenty twenty five,
played two games.
Speaker 15 (16:29):
In a row pretty much.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
Yeah, okay, yeah, No.
Speaker 16 (16:32):
Cam has been absolutely phenomenal as well. You know, you
trade for somebody in the middle of the year and
you hear rumors about who somebody is. Kim Robinson is
freaking awesome. He is a football player, He does everything
the right way, like, He's been a joy to work with,
so uh and I'm certainly glad that he's been a
stable piece.
Speaker 13 (16:53):
When you open and see how it's been the most
challenging of your career, right, but then you RADI it
about these guys. Is it strictly the fact that you
don't know who's going to be out there for you
that has made this so challenging?
Speaker 15 (17:05):
Yeah, I think that.
Speaker 16 (17:06):
I think different quarterbacks make it challenging when they have
different cadences and different ways of doing things, Like there's
been a lot of adjustment for a room. I think
as coaches and as offensive linemen, like we're creatures that habit.
We'd love for everything to stay constant. That's not the
life that we love. We get it, but we can
still want And I was so fortunate like I had
years at Stanford. I think I had like three years
(17:27):
in a row where I started the same five guys
and never had anybody miss a play, and so I
was a better coach then, you know. And look, we've
had guys thrown in that have entered the building that
are taking reps with the ones the day they get
here in the last couple of weeks, and that's not
the continuity you want. You want those five guys getting
every rep together in practice because they're so meaningful, like
practice is everything, and then you hope that transfers to
(17:50):
the grand game the right way. So that I guess
that's what I mean is there's just been so much
change and it's been been difficult. It's not how anybody
wants it to be. We know it's a reality, but
it's not what you want. And it's been challenging because
we've gotten different people ready to play. We've had to
make some of those adjustments that I talked about with
(18:10):
who's under center, and you know, like those things are
just challenging, and we all want success, like it's a
win business. We're in it to win, and you just
want your room to perform at such a high level
that it helps elevate the team to do so talking about.
Speaker 5 (18:27):
Center positions, want to help some of those calls for
or sort of where to slide and things like that.
I know that's like a learning process for any young
quarterback especially I've talked to Joe about that a little bit.
Speaker 19 (18:37):
But what.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
How would those.
Speaker 14 (18:40):
Conversations go during the week where like he's talking with
the old line and kind of getting on the same
page as them, obviously without giving anything too detailed away,
but like what are those conversations like? And how have
you seen him also, you know, pick up some things
as he's started more and more.
Speaker 16 (18:53):
Yeah, I've seen him ask better questions every week and
trying to understand exactly how we're handling things and wanting
to be involved in those conversations. Like today we just
got completed to walk through and he was like, just
going back to yesterday, who is handling that element? And
like those are great questions, like quarterbacks want to know
where they're protected.
Speaker 15 (19:10):
That's not too much to ask, but.
Speaker 16 (19:13):
Him being completely in tune to it is something that's
going to continue to allow him to take steps. And
so I do think that he's doing a nice job
I think the communication between the line, but also like
just knowing like Tommy and Musk and what they do
with him and how they're growing this young quarterback has
been cool to see.
Speaker 3 (19:30):
That you've worked on with Katy And where have you
seen the improvement, especially as he's going to Connor right
where get some back and back starts at right tackle.
Speaker 16 (19:37):
Yeah, I think Kat's has some great growth there. You know,
I think we think back early in the season and
where some of the silent count was really getting him
and he wasn't able to really do his job. He
wasn't able to set square and land his punch, and
now he's doing those things better. Like he is a
strong young man and has great power when he gets
his hands on you in protection, and he can move
(19:57):
you in the run game. And we've just got to
allow him to continue to do what he does best,
play in and play out, and then continue to grow
on the things that he's not as proficient at, and
he's working at it.
Speaker 3 (20:08):
That maybe like the perfect platforms. I know he's played
around and he's even moved inside it guard, but you
think right tackles maybe that perfect spotform or you.
Speaker 16 (20:15):
Know, I think that's a great question for the offseason,
because I do think he has position flex but right
now he's as long as he keeps scrolling it right tackle,
I'm gonna be pleased.
Speaker 15 (20:23):
All right, thank you all.
Speaker 1 (20:24):
Quarnerbacks coach Brandon Lynch talked about what he's seen from
Tyson Campbell since he arrived in Cleveland.
Speaker 4 (20:30):
So, how tough was it to be without Denzel last week?
Speaker 9 (20:34):
Yeah, it's it's always tough when you don't have one
of your best players out there. But we always tell him, like,
even when he's not out there, he is out there
just as far as like his presence, some of the details,
some of the habits that he's really like imparted on
our group. So we'd like to say that, hey, even
when he's not he is.
Speaker 3 (20:52):
Mouse hardy kind of playing.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
He played mouse hard.
Speaker 3 (20:54):
He had to play a little more outside with Denzel out,
and you know, I think he got caught on that
crosser and on the Touchdow. Just what are you making
the overall performance? Maybe some things that you can work on,
especially because he's moving from nickel to you know, really
playing a lot of outside last week.
Speaker 9 (21:08):
Yeah, you know, details winning games, you know, and with
Miles going out there. You know, really glad that he's
getting a chance to get some more outside reps. You know,
obviously we are defense values versatility, so to have that
young guy play predominantly inside but then go outside with
our main focus of stopping to run, you know, I'm
glad to see him developing there. The things that like
we've really been working on with him specifically is like
(21:30):
really just the outside details. So when we're in cut
split play us really like just detailing out what our
I progression is, you know, where we're trying to get
to as far as like with our final leverages. And
then he's a he's a studious young guy, right, Like
he's a trusted teammates, so you know, unfortunately and fortunately
you know, we've all given up some plays, so he's
very much in a growth mindset.
Speaker 17 (21:52):
When Tyson's comes back to the sidelight, now for that
that put the DJ Moore play the good one touch down.
Speaker 2 (22:00):
Sure, what I mean, what's the conversation.
Speaker 17 (22:03):
I mean, it's not the first time he's been beat
for a but you know, it looks like he's in
a decent position and.
Speaker 15 (22:10):
You know just sort of you know, more and more
just makes a better play.
Speaker 17 (22:14):
I mean, what's the coaching point there?
Speaker 9 (22:17):
Sure, first next play mentality? Right, Like he expects we
expect all of us expect him to make that play.
So with him being in good position, we talk about, like,
let's be in our best position. You know, we want
to be the first aggressor on the ball.
Speaker 19 (22:32):
Uh.
Speaker 9 (22:32):
There's some details as far as like with our footwork,
we can scooch a little bit further, we can stay
high shoulder to attack.
Speaker 2 (22:37):
Back on that.
Speaker 9 (22:38):
But bottom line, you know, it was one of those
things a next play mentality. The next play is ours
and obviously whenever the ball is in the air, we
want to track and attack it.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
Tyson.
Speaker 10 (22:47):
Tyson strikes me as a really physical player, yes, but
like it's never traded to stick his nose in in
the run game, all that stuff. How nice is it
to have a guy like that in that room?
Speaker 9 (22:55):
It's everything, you know, whenever you have like a guy
like that, that's one of our hot pillars, right, Like
we want to be known for physical violence, and he's
naturally like a physically violent kid. Like we talk about
like being a first aggressor, Like he seeks contact, you know,
so you know, myself being like a former safety, like
being a defensive back. Like I think that he's an
old school corner right, Like he's a guy that like
(23:18):
you know, all of the guys that have come before myself,
guys that have come after, Like when you have like
guys that are physically gifted but want to be like
physical in the run game first, you know that talks
about what Kevin thinks is important that we all know,
tough and competitive. When you have tough guys that are competitive,
they actively want to get in the run fits.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Go ahead, Did you have any prior like knowledge of
Sam Web because he went from you know, I think
being on Tennessee's practice squad a couple of weeks back
and obvious starting games playing time. Can you say, did
you have like any prior relationship or knowledge of Sam
Web like prior to the team signed him, because he
went from being on a practice squads and now starting
games and playing a lot of significant time.
Speaker 9 (23:56):
I did, man, And it was one of those things
like when we get to the combine. You know, obviously
we like speed, length, athleticism. So every year when we
get to the combine, everybody who is thirty two inches
or every corner who's going to be evaluated or not evaluated.
We immediately circle guys that are thirty two inches. So
had a great deal of knowledge of this young guy,
especially coming from a small school, right, Like you want
(24:18):
to pride yourself as an evaluator, like finding a diamond
in the rough, and when you find a guy like
that that you know is coming from a small school,
you think he's arrow up. We talk about really having
a you know, low floor, high ceiling, right, He's a
guy that has an extremely high ceiling because he's bright,
he's tough, he's competitive, and he has the traits that
(24:39):
we're looking for. So, you know, prior to the combine,
like seeing that and then being able to sit down
with that young man was really great. So to see
him in our building, you know. You know, fortunately I
told him, like, man, the Lord has blessed us with
every young guy that we wanted. Man, like they have
come into building, you know, and you know, we have
a system that really like helps young guys like that,
(25:00):
like really be their best.
Speaker 4 (25:01):
So glad he's here, Josh Allen, what challenges does he
present your guys in the back end, both in the
run game and the passing game.
Speaker 9 (25:10):
Yes, you know what great player. You know, he makes
a lot of off platform plays, he extends coverages.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
On guys, and then he's a run threat.
Speaker 9 (25:19):
You know, I know that, you know talking to coach Schwartz, right,
he's really built just like Derrick Henry, so you know
the physical traits of them with him running the ball,
not just extending plays, but him in the run game.
You know, we got to make sure that we arrive
violently and we have an opportunity to capture that guy
so the other ten players can get there. And then,
like we said about the off schedule, things like he
(25:40):
is not afraid to throw the ball down the field
and he has great touch. He has like a great
command of the system. So we have to do a
really good job communicating.
Speaker 2 (25:48):
First, it just seems like this.
Speaker 6 (25:49):
Year the defense as a whole has stayed so motivated
and for the most production has been the same, no
matter what the record is, no matter what's going on
with the offense or special team. It's like, what is
it about Jim as a coordinator that it just seems
like he's able to motivate this whole groups.
Speaker 9 (26:07):
So well, yeah, actually you have to inspire and motivate
like your group. You know, he talked about like really
having a premium on that and really simplifying, you know,
and with us simplifying in gim scheme, like he wants
us to attack. He wants us to attack. As teachers,
he wants the students to attack. And he's very unwavering
(26:27):
with that. And I think that when you have like
proven competitors that want to compete at the highest level,
like they want that type of feedback, they want that.
Speaker 2 (26:36):
Type of expectation. It's in to be held accountable.
Speaker 9 (26:39):
So from a teacher top down, you know, we're all
held to the same standard, and our standard is the best.
And you know, as a teacher myself, it's been really
cool to be around him from you know, somebody who
has played for Jim and somebody who is getting a
chance to like really be tutored underneath him at this point,
it's really cool to see how he holds everybody accountable.
Speaker 2 (27:01):
He's unwavering on it, and he's extremely consistent. I know,
I don't know how much you guys.
Speaker 13 (27:06):
Can be mentioned up with them, but it feels like
Hallen especial last week to the Titans a bunch, how
big a part of their game is that and how weird.
Speaker 9 (27:15):
He has to be sure, you know, we have to
do a really good job like defending fifty three and
a third with this group. He he is very non
discriminatory as far as like where he distributes the ball.
So that makes you really have to defend everybody with
fundamentals and techniques. And we know that details win games.
So we have to do a really good job stopping
(27:35):
to run first, and once we stop the run, we
have to do a really good job on all threats,
including the tight ends. Okay, thank you.
Speaker 1 (27:43):
Up first in the locker room is running back Quinn
Shawn Judkins, who spoke on the opportunities he might get
against the bottom of the pack Buffalo Bill's run defense.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
It's been a little bit.
Speaker 4 (27:52):
Of toss ltting just for your guys running game and
get game.
Speaker 2 (27:58):
You guys really kind of.
Speaker 15 (28:02):
Yeah, yeah, we will hope.
Speaker 20 (28:04):
So I say, that's what you're determined to do each
and every week, that's what you're prepare for mindset, and
you know, just envisioning you and your teammates just going
out there and you know, getting the job done.
Speaker 7 (28:17):
It seems like game flow has sort of prevented you
guys from getting you involved in the running games, you know,
going early early on the eight games. How important would
it be to be able to sort of get that established,
get off to a good start so that you guys
can maybe start you know, running the ball a little
bit more and getting getting your work. What do you
(28:38):
mean like as far as well, well, I mean you
guys throwing fourteen nothing down fourteen to nothing in Chicago.
You know, it's Kevin mentioned that, you know that sort
of you start, you start throwing the ball more game situation.
Speaker 20 (28:51):
I mean, yeah, I think because you start off like
behind the sticks to kind of push you out a
bad spot as well as as far as taking advantage
of where you're at on the field that hurts.
Speaker 7 (29:01):
You in that so all the way, Yeah, but how
how important?
Speaker 17 (29:04):
How good would it be for you guys to be
able to do that this week?
Speaker 19 (29:07):
Oh?
Speaker 2 (29:07):
Yeah, definitely I'm thinking to help a lot.
Speaker 20 (29:09):
Yeah, just because that helps us be in better fail position,
be able to drive the ball down fail, be able
to execute in the run game, and be able to
just temple it out.
Speaker 17 (29:23):
You talked a lot about Joel He's the locker ring
next year.
Speaker 2 (29:27):
Yeah, what is he meant to you this?
Speaker 17 (29:30):
Beyond just on the field you blocking for you, but
just day to day, what's what's he meant to you?
Speaker 20 (29:36):
Joe's awesome. Ever since the first day I got here.
He was one of the guys like that I just
jailed to. Naturally, I feel like as a rookie, you
more so try to find that guy in the locker
room that you can relate to and show you to
do things the right way. Enjoy with that guy for me,
you know, just by his attitude and intentionality every day
(29:58):
things that he took into detail, and you know, just
the way he shows you how to do the right things.
But you know, me and him are are really close.
Speaker 2 (30:05):
Uh, He's a guy I look up to.
Speaker 20 (30:06):
I went to his gift back event like maybe two
weeks ago. So, uh, he's a really good bat and
he's he's you know, we all know.
Speaker 15 (30:14):
He's good on the field that way he does.
Speaker 20 (30:15):
But aside forms a great guy with the running back
rooms in to this point of your losing dealing, Uh,
how do you expect kind of guys something like you
and just just kind of step up. You know, this
is the NFL, So I feel like, uh, this is
where the best of the best are. So I think
those guys will take advantage of their opportunities for sure, go.
Speaker 10 (30:36):
Going back to be marker, next, control whateverything. How how
important is that for you?
Speaker 2 (30:41):
Kind of like you to take advantage of like the
pr and just all those moments.
Speaker 20 (30:44):
Yeah, bro, it's super important, just because when you're in
the NFL as a rookie, this is your first experience
for every single thing. You know, you don't know what
to expect in a lot of situations. So having that
guy there that's a vet that can show you the
roal I'm saying, you know, uh, you know, have a
person there that can help you foreshadow.
Speaker 2 (31:05):
And see what to expect. It helps a lot in
a lot of situations.
Speaker 11 (31:08):
And he's like, he's like, I think he's at least
ten years older than your house.
Speaker 2 (31:12):
I was like in middle school. Relate to the young
as far as I mean, he's a god.
Speaker 20 (31:18):
So it's a lot that we can relate to.
Speaker 2 (31:20):
But I don't have kids.
Speaker 20 (31:22):
I can't talk about, you know, dropping him off at school,
a lot of stuff like that.
Speaker 2 (31:25):
So you guys can.
Speaker 5 (31:28):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (31:29):
True, I'm supposed to be watching this weekend.
Speaker 20 (31:33):
I don't really watch college football right now. I think
Ohio State will take it all the way. So those
are really the only games I watch.
Speaker 4 (31:45):
Samson, you can get an injury real kind of.
Speaker 7 (31:48):
Starting to come.
Speaker 20 (31:50):
Yeah, you know, I see him each and every day
he's in the room with us. I think he's taken
it day by day with his injury. Uh, he's trying
to be back on the field. He's been very supportive,
you know, throughout each and every practice, each game. So
I want him to come back and you know, uh
hope he recovers well.
Speaker 2 (32:09):
And how much are you for the future.
Speaker 4 (32:12):
You guys could just make out one two punch and
you're really starting to.
Speaker 18 (32:15):
See what you guys were figuring out.
Speaker 4 (32:18):
You're prow to really maximize.
Speaker 20 (32:21):
Yeah, I think for myself, just maximizing the most of
our opportunities throughout each situation in the game, I feel like,
and more so just having each other's back on the
field and you know, just keep playing throughout again from my.
Speaker 17 (32:41):
Rocket, I mean, you guys, you know, remember when you
guys are in college.
Speaker 2 (32:45):
Right your freshman year to you guys are compete for
the sec lest Just what's it been like to have
the what's he been like.
Speaker 7 (32:51):
And how have you kind of helped him, you too,
help each other kind of grow.
Speaker 20 (32:56):
Yeah, this Rockets a guy that I'm familiar with. Uh,
we're familiar. We played each other before. I was at
a high state at ole Miss. My freshman year, I
got to play him, uh at Arkansas. They ended up
winning that game, but I think both of us had
like two hundred Russian So uh, he ended up reaching
out to me after the game and we developed a
relationship ever since. But just to see him be here
and uh, I didn't expect him to be at in Cleveland,
(33:18):
but to see him, you know, show up here and
how he works and you know, I'm excited to see
what he does too.
Speaker 2 (33:25):
Like you kind of talked about, that's been a difficult
season from yeah.
Speaker 12 (33:29):
Hand as a coach because we just so much change
in the office for understanding.
Speaker 21 (33:33):
You know, injuries happen the NFL.
Speaker 12 (33:35):
Yeah, from your perspective, like how different one is that
as a running back there's a lot of change, and
how what the conversation is.
Speaker 10 (33:40):
Like for you with that entire just kind of figuring out.
Speaker 21 (33:43):
Like nuances in their game and how you sort of
are attacking things and trying.
Speaker 12 (33:46):
To you know, with your best fo.
Speaker 20 (33:49):
Yeah, I think like it's very frustrating, I'll say, not
only because they losing obviously, but I feel like for myself,
I never was in a situation or was in a
position where I lost this much, or like I come
from different cultures to where like you said, we don't
lose that. So I think just having to handle that
(34:09):
in itself is a lot. But like I said, we
got great guys in our locker room, like great best
to help you, you know, how you handle that stuff
and how you react to it. We have guys that
I can at will help us.
Speaker 2 (34:21):
But I think as far as my coaches.
Speaker 20 (34:23):
And putting us in the best positions, they do their best.
Speaker 22 (34:25):
You know.
Speaker 20 (34:26):
I believe in our coaches, I believe in the guys
up front for me, so at the end of the day,
just trying to go out there and do my job.
Bro it was like I said, It's very frustrating though
for sure, but just trying to control what.
Speaker 13 (34:38):
I can still keep an eye whole mess.
Speaker 20 (34:41):
Well, No, I don't, personally, I haven't. I have a
couple of guys though that I know that still go there,
so wish them the best.
Speaker 4 (34:49):
I know.
Speaker 12 (34:50):
The bills are ties and forth them.
Speaker 10 (34:53):
Course, or offenses.
Speaker 13 (34:55):
All these players.
Speaker 5 (34:57):
Just how important is you know fall security, you know,
no that you know, maximize possessions with that offense.
Speaker 20 (35:03):
Yeah, super important because you know, different weather conditions, you know, raining, snowing,
feels the way. So they have a lot of takeaways
and you know that's something that we're gonna harp in
our game plan, trying to go out there and protect
the ball as well as the quarterback too.
Speaker 4 (35:22):
See runs the way that.
Speaker 20 (35:27):
Josh, Yeah, it kind of reminds me of Jackson Dark
one of my old teammates I played with that old
miss Uh just uh, his mentality when running the ball, Uh,
something that you know, I take heat to at my position.
Speaker 1 (35:44):
So I like the way he plays defensive tackle. Mason
Graham talked about the difficulty of containing quarterback Josh Allen.
Speaker 13 (35:50):
You have to approach any different like it's quarterback, it's pitty,
it's Josh Allen. When you rushing a guy like that,
whether he's you know, scrambling or just in the pocket,
having me try to take got a guy that big.
Speaker 19 (36:01):
Yeah, we've kind of just been teaching the philosophy of
you know, tackling like he's Derrick Henry, so kind of
been going in with that mindset.
Speaker 23 (36:08):
Yeah, Kevin was talking earlier to say that the degree
of difficulty behind what Miles is trying to do is
get less pass rush opportunities than a lot of the
guys he's even chasing. How does how does playing from
behind make it harder to get usack?
Speaker 12 (36:24):
Uh?
Speaker 19 (36:25):
Yeah, I feel like it makes it a little harder.
It's not it's not it's not ideal for pass rushing,
but you know, we're doing the best we can to
get back there on opportunities we get.
Speaker 23 (36:35):
Yeah, and how's how does that maybe add to the
greatness of what he's doing about it?
Speaker 12 (36:40):
He's making the most out of fewer opportunities.
Speaker 4 (36:42):
Yeah.
Speaker 19 (36:42):
I actually like when you look look around the league,
you know a lot of these other teams that lead
the league or have a bunch of sacks, you know
that they have a lot more pass opportunities.
Speaker 7 (36:52):
But we kind of just play the cards were dealt Mason.
Speaker 8 (36:55):
You we mentioned Derrick Henry, you know, Jim has mentioned
you know, Ezaca Barri's for Josh.
Speaker 2 (37:01):
So what was it like tackling Derrick Henry?
Speaker 7 (37:03):
Now that you've had that opportunity a couple of times
and you know, if that's the competent for you know,
trying to tackle it.
Speaker 19 (37:11):
I feel like just the philosophy is, you know, like
no arm tackles. Uh, you know, when he's scrambling, tackle
like running back, you know, don't don't fall.
Speaker 2 (37:19):
For his pump fakes.
Speaker 22 (37:20):
He's just gonna pump fake.
Speaker 19 (37:22):
Just take his thigh board. So just that kind of mindset,
I wouldn't say, no, we all want to bring him down,
you know, just by the one guy, but sometimes it
might take one or two three.
Speaker 10 (37:33):
Mason, You're you're obviously playing through that rim.
Speaker 2 (37:35):
Carson's playing through this, Tay.
Speaker 10 (37:37):
Why why is it so important for you guys to
be out there?
Speaker 19 (37:41):
Uh? I just love playing the game. I can't speak
for anyone else, but you know I love playing the game.
And if I'm good enough, whatever percentage that may be,
to play, then I'm gonna plays.
Speaker 13 (37:57):
You can't reinjure it anymore.
Speaker 19 (37:59):
Playing at it's a little bit of a there's always
a little bit of a risk, but you know, the
doctor said that it's I'm clear enough to play, so
it was kind of up to me, and I just
wanted to play.
Speaker 7 (38:16):
You're on the field with these quarterbacks and these players
that you know, you you've watched.
Speaker 2 (38:21):
You know, coming up.
Speaker 7 (38:22):
What's that like when you know, obviously you have you.
Speaker 17 (38:25):
Know, pretty unbelieve people wanting out there, but at the
same time, going against guys you've watched growing up.
Speaker 7 (38:31):
What you know as a rookie, what's that transition like
to going from watching them to playing against them?
Speaker 19 (38:38):
It's cool, you know, it's kind of like a dream.
Come sure, you always watch these guys, you know. Kind
of the first moment I realized is, you know, one
of my first days here, I came in, I got
in the sauna, and I walked in. Joe Flacco sat
next to you.
Speaker 2 (38:52):
I said, I used to watch this guy.
Speaker 19 (38:54):
On the Ravens winning Super Bowls, throwing a bunch of
touchdown passes. But I'm just sitting next to them, having
a casual conversation with him. So it's kind of cool,
you know, just as a little kid and then playing
now with all the great players.
Speaker 13 (39:07):
What do you see when you look at the run defensive?
It hasn't I feel like it has.
Speaker 2 (39:11):
Been up to you. He's the team steam.
Speaker 19 (39:14):
Yeah, I feel like we used to execute better. Uh
not feel like it's usually you know, it only takes
one guy for you know them to break a little
bit of a run. So I feel like it just
has to be all eleven on the same page, not
just ten or nine one player.
Speaker 2 (39:28):
Okay, So are you guys expecting.
Speaker 16 (39:31):
A little steak dinner for Miles.
Speaker 13 (39:33):
Or some kind of celebration.
Speaker 19 (39:38):
Oh no, he said, he give us a little hint
about he's going to do something, but who knows what
that entails.
Speaker 1 (39:43):
And finally, defensive end Miles Garrett, who continues to chase
the NFL's single season sack record. He's one away from
tying the record. One and a half will break the record.
Here's Miles.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
You can just in general, this.
Speaker 7 (39:56):
Has been the best you know, all and on like relistically,
in space, everything you've been me being your.
Speaker 2 (40:02):
Career, Uh, for the most part.
Speaker 22 (40:07):
Yeah, I think it's one of my better years as
far as you know, mentally and physically. So I can't
go play take it as a blessing and try to
make the most out of it.
Speaker 6 (40:16):
What about the challenge of trying to sack Josh Allen and.
Speaker 11 (40:20):
You know every go like Sarrick Henry or own.
Speaker 17 (40:23):
Back like that one from Paris.
Speaker 22 (40:25):
Yeah, I mean, the guy's unbelievable. You know what he
can do to put her acquisition and you know with
the ball in general, just no one like him. So
it'll be, uh, you know, a fun matchup. He s
he's rating MP for a reason, so we'll have to
stop him. We'll have to stop that running game, and
and we'll have to try and make him one dimensional.
But you know, if that's a hell of it the
mention a half.
Speaker 13 (40:46):
I know you waved the set record to come and
a win, but would it mean something special to do
to get a guy like Allen who's an MVP.
Speaker 2 (40:55):
Absolutely.
Speaker 22 (40:56):
I mean he's a gun slinger himself, so he's he's
the kind of guy that, uh, I guess he would
say Mike got you know, those years ago. So it's
a I think it's a bit of a funny comparison
because those those guys kind of similar styles, and you
know me and Mike have.
Speaker 13 (41:10):
Been compared before.
Speaker 22 (41:12):
But uh, yeah, it would It wouldn't mean a lot
to get against him because he's he's very special.
Speaker 2 (41:15):
No, and uh, I have a lot of a lot
of admiration.
Speaker 22 (41:19):
For for what you can do a field the football
that he's gonna be down for you, right.
Speaker 2 (41:23):
Not quite you're any extra Jewts chasing it at home?
Speaker 22 (41:29):
Uh, I want to get in front of the home
fans most of all, I want to get the win.
You you know, I don't want it to be you know,
some emotional conflict between you know, me getting in and
you know we're we're getting our tails wolfed or you
know we're uh, you know down at the end of
the game. So you know, I want to be able
to you know, sharing a joyous moment for everybody that.
Speaker 17 (41:53):
Exact Bean said, Come said that you know you're still
putting the team for how hard is.
Speaker 13 (41:58):
To have been throughout the end of the season knowing
you to have a playoff to kind of compartmentalize to
do that?
Speaker 2 (42:04):
Not hard at all.
Speaker 22 (42:05):
I mean, I selfishly wanna win, and I think everyone
should be selfish in that matter. And I think and
when everyone has that mindset, it becomes a team goal.
So I want us all to to share that together.
Speaker 2 (42:18):
So how as you.
Speaker 21 (42:19):
Mentioned, you mentioned a few times league in TfL referenced
as well as much as you know we've asked you
about the SAC record. That's a sert for foregot on
his mind. How much is that there also something that
you're thinking about.
Speaker 22 (42:31):
With the information, I'll probably think about that one a
little bit more cause I'm further away, and they're a
little bit harder to get. You know, you can't can't
get any halfs you c you know, you can't be laid,
you know you and uh, you know you can get
a sack of no game. You can't get a TfL
of no game. So you know, it's been a little
bit difficult in their own right to to get and uh,
(42:54):
you know, but they're they also are you know, just
very beneficial to you know, the defense of what we're
trying to do to to win games. So uh, I
wanna be able to, you know, just make net of
negative plays happened for the defense.
Speaker 6 (43:06):
Miles, thinking about the last few years have you.
Speaker 10 (43:09):
Played in in Gym's.
Speaker 6 (43:10):
Defense, Like, what has it been like to to play
for him? And I mean, guys keep talking about how
motivated he keeps everyone, even if it wins the loss
of War.
Speaker 22 (43:18):
Three want and ever, when's the losses hour where we
want them for sure? And uh, it's tough and I
wish we could. I'll figure it all out a little
bit sooner. But to play for Gym has been honored
the privilege. It's a great coach. He's been a uh,
a great man of character and a great leader. And
(43:40):
so I just appreciate the fact that I've been ill
to be close by him, and he helped elevate my
game and and uh, you know, take it to the heights.
Speaker 10 (43:48):
We see now, Miles, we we talked right for insiday
and he was praising Joel ben tol two yeous leadership.
And obviously you've been around.
Speaker 13 (43:55):
Joel since you came to the league.
Speaker 10 (43:57):
Guess what can you say about Joel and what it's
been like teammate of his, what he's brought to.
Speaker 23 (44:02):
It's just this entire life.
Speaker 22 (44:05):
He's a rock to everybody leans on. You know, he's
just steadying, consistent. He's always the same. You know, I
love seeing that a big old smile on him. But
you know, every time he's he's in the game, you
never see him put his head down. You always see him,
you know, just a attack every day, like he attacks
you know, defensive players. You know, just he's just staying consistent,
(44:26):
you know, character in the locker room and any.
Speaker 2 (44:29):
Time he goes out there, you just feel a little
bit more comfortable.
Speaker 10 (44:32):
Do you remember that training had to kind of thick
out to let tackle, and yet they were going against him.
Speaker 5 (44:37):
I do.
Speaker 22 (44:38):
And I remember for the first two days I thought
it was so awkward going against him because it was
just a completely different set, and y'all talking and saying
I was looking bad, and I was like, damn, I
am looking bad. And then I figured it out and
I started feeling better. I was like, that's how I
started to realize that, man, there are different sets. There's
people you know, do different things. And that helped, you know,
(44:58):
elevate now how much I have to to study and
grow as a player. And I appreciate him, you know,
give me a bit of a wake up call and
help me learn earlier to say a degree.
Speaker 12 (45:08):
Of difficulty of what you're doing.
Speaker 13 (45:10):
You're seeing fewer pass USh opportunities that you're.
Speaker 11 (45:12):
Still chasing this record.
Speaker 23 (45:13):
How how much pride you taking him that partly?
Speaker 22 (45:19):
I mean, you know, you to only make the most
of the opportunities that you get.
Speaker 5 (45:22):
I'm not.
Speaker 22 (45:23):
I'm asking for more. Hopefully I don't get any less.
But you know, I'm just just going out there and
playing the game. I can't play. I can't can't complain
that I'm getting the less opportunities to other guys. You
just just gotta go out there and make plays, you know,
if you want to see more than you've You've.
Speaker 11 (45:38):
Been pretty vocal about your both throughout your career, except
for the when we.
Speaker 23 (45:41):
Start talking about the greatest Ever, you seem to have
a different approach that you you've said the past, I think,
like give.
Speaker 11 (45:48):
Too much respect for the guys who've come before you.
Speaker 23 (45:51):
Where does that where's that mindset come from?
Speaker 4 (45:54):
You?
Speaker 22 (45:55):
And they paid the way because I'm standing on the
shoud of the giant, so I wouldn't be the player
that I am, you know without the.
Speaker 2 (46:02):
Shooting.
Speaker 22 (46:03):
As far as the von Miller's, you know, go as
far back as you know Deacon LT, Reggie d. T.
You know, all those guys and many more. You know
grew up watching them and taking things for them, and
you know you can't compare you know, our game to them.
It's dramatically different. And and go show all the rules
(46:23):
and know the things that we're allowed and allowed to
do and that we're privy to. Now they're just going
to have the access to that, and it goes, it
goes both ways. So comparing no generations and decades is
fun and to it's it's a cool discussion to have.
But you know, just being able to play no dominant football,
(46:44):
that's all I want to do. I want to be
the best of my generation because I can only speak
for you know, this generation of players and what we're
able to go through and who we're able to challenge
and beat at the end of the day.
Speaker 2 (46:57):
Everything else is just here saying conjunction.
Speaker 7 (47:01):
Let's say two more.
Speaker 2 (47:04):
Would like to take this home?
Speaker 15 (47:06):
How much more you also.
Speaker 19 (47:13):
One?
Speaker 4 (47:14):
As opposed to if you have a bestport when you've
spent all.
Speaker 9 (47:17):
This time year, do you think of that much more
that I think support you on this time you're able
to celebrate this speak.
Speaker 2 (47:26):
Ye, ain't not the same question, just.
Speaker 5 (47:33):
One.
Speaker 10 (47:35):
It's more like more like what I what means to
be with your with one team, your whole fay?
Speaker 2 (47:38):
Okay, uh you might make that? Is that last.
Speaker 1 (47:47):
I can on.
Speaker 22 (47:49):
You were almost not here, Okay, okay, you're almost not here,
and you're here definitely.
Speaker 2 (47:57):
I am here and I'm happy to be here.
Speaker 22 (48:01):
I'm happy to play in front of these fans who've
supported me through everything, the seasons up and down, and
you know, the just all the the the things I've
gone on in my career and the Browns, Browns team
in general for my my last nine years, you know,
for for them to still turn out and still support
me and still want to be a part of this
(48:22):
this ride in general is special to me. And I'm
hoping it's still turn out and uh, you know, have
have energy and uh, you know, love for us, that's always.
Speaker 18 (48:31):
Do And have you felt, you know, from from the
ex fans of seasonality, I says to obviously some of them,
but it seems like they are completely on hoard.
Speaker 22 (48:43):
A tough season for everybody, so they got to get
in line on that one. But it it is nice
to see them, you know, still turn out. I've been
been there for years where I wanted to see more
and then I've I've also been here for a couple
of years in which the place was completely packed and
now I was. I was just ecstatic to be a
part of the environment like that. And uh, you don't
(49:03):
want to continue to make them proud, however I can
and we can and and uh, you know, keep on
putting no button season, putting smiles on faces.
Speaker 9 (49:12):
Appreciate it.
Speaker 13 (49:14):
Yeah, just during the game last week, I think they talked.
They mentioned that you hit surgery in the off season
to get the place out of your feet. When you're
in there, just how much better does it feel?
Speaker 2 (49:24):
And what winning to?
Speaker 19 (49:26):
You know?
Speaker 13 (49:26):
Was it along recovery process?
Speaker 22 (49:27):
And uh, I wouldn't say it was too long. It
wasn't like it was like the recovery of like a
major injury, but it was it was long enough for me. Yeah,
you know, I couldn't get back to you know, the
the miles that we see now for you know, a
couple of months. So you know, that was tough to
(49:49):
deal with. And I don't like to sit still. So
getting me in one place and having to do all
this this rehab was difficult enough, but now I knew
it was it was just part of the process. But
being able to stand to walk around, to do anything
without paying I'll take that every day. So if you'll
makes a big difference now sooner. I mean, it was
like three games to the season last year where I was,
(50:12):
you know, debating whether I was going to be playing
in games after that. So it's a blessing to be
where I am now, feeling as good as I am
at this point of the season.
Speaker 2 (50:22):
Thanks.
Speaker 1 (50:23):
