Speaker 1 (00:05):
Welcome to this week sixteen Wednesday edition of the From
the Podium podcast. I'm Gabe Kalura. The Browns are back
in the building today as they begin to install their
game plan for this Sunday's game at Huntington Bank Field
against the Buffalo Bills. On this episode, you hear from
head coach Kevin Stefanski, quarterback Shadoor Sanders, wide receiver Jerry Judy,
and cornerback Denzel Ward. We'll start with that coach Kevin Stefanski,

(00:27):
who gave his thoughts on the dynamic skill set of
quarterback Josh Allen Gay.

Speaker 2 (00:30):
Great challenge this week, Really good football team playing at
a high level. Obviously, a ton of respect for coach
McDermott and their group talented football players. Obviously you watch
the tape of this group and they're doing a great
job in a bunch of different areas offense, defense and
special team. So looking forward to the challenge and understanding

(00:52):
that's going to take our best effort and with that
I'll take any questions.

Speaker 3 (00:55):
Know why on the pre practice injury report, guys feel good,
A good chance that he'll be able to build a
Sunday we'll see.

Speaker 2 (01:04):
Yeah, I'm not sure yet, got to get through these
practice days.

Speaker 4 (01:07):
A lot of anybody that can not practice any.

Speaker 2 (01:10):
Probably wouldn't rule them out, But everybody seems to be
trending in the right direction. Broken hand, he has a
hand injury, yeah, with potentially, but he's he's getting better.
He is getting better.

Speaker 5 (01:28):
Talk about what makes Josh Allen so difficult to defend against.
I mean some of it's obvious, but I mean, what
do you see?

Speaker 2 (01:36):
Yeah, where do you start, Mary Kay? I think he's uh,
very good at all of it. You know, whether it's
on schedule, the ability to make the throw to every
area of the field, whether it's off schedule to buy
time and throw the ball to every area of the field,
or run and when he runs, he's he's like a
fullback out there. So really no weakness in his game.

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Thrown out teams of run the ball and you got
pretty well. Is it injury related or is it deeper
than that?

Speaker 2 (02:07):
We uh, you know, we take pride, Jeff in our
run defense.

Speaker 6 (02:10):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:11):
We obviously need to get back to that level that
we expect from our group. It's it's always a matter
of doing our job, doing it with great effort.

Speaker 5 (02:22):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (02:23):
And also recognizing that you're going up against some good
rush groups as well.

Speaker 7 (02:27):
Along those lines, what challenges this cook present just being second.

Speaker 2 (02:30):
In the league and rushing Aaron, he's outstanding. Uh, the
speed on every run scheme to play within the between
the tackles or bounce it uh to either side. He
uses all fifty three and a third of the field.
Really really talented player. Right his brother Dalvin in Minnesota,
Like just a great kid, great family that uh he's

(02:51):
got that. They run hard, they can catch the ball
in the backfield, really do it all.

Speaker 8 (02:56):
You face, You face stack blocks at the highest rate
like your offense does. Is that say more about the
running game or what the defense perceives about the passing game?
And how do you work to get out of those
statch box and then get some opportunities to push on them.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
Yeah, those are opportunities obviously with quin Sewn and our
run game. When you are running against those boxes, you
are going to be able to block force with wide
receivers and hopefully give our runners creases where they can
go make yards when you do run it and then
when you do throw it. Those are opportunities when the
middle field is closed and they're playing post safety defense.

(03:30):
That's you know, opportunities in the pass game.

Speaker 9 (03:34):
Talk about the run defense in the sense that the
guys are wearing down at all just because they've been
on the kield of box, because like they've been in
short fields a lot, and maybe.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
That it takes a tall No, I think we have
a standard to how we play. Again, I give credit
to the teams we've gone against, but we understand what
it takes to stop a really good run defense and
excuse me, stop a really good run offense. It's not easy,
but you're going out there to limit some of these groups.

(04:04):
It would be for you.

Speaker 5 (04:04):
Guys to be able to celebrate Miles setting the record
at home outside.

Speaker 2 (04:09):
Yeah, you know, you guys talk to Miles every single week.
That's not his focus, Mary Kay. His focus is on
doing his job every single play, run, play, pass play,
you name it. That's really what he's focused on. And
the record itself, and it's it's fun obviously for our
fans and fun to be a part of that. But
that's not at all his focus.

Speaker 7 (04:33):
Is an update on the show since he's doing a
half weeks.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
And all, no update. Just continues to do a good job.

Speaker 4 (04:40):
The scout team. I guess wiill kind of like let
that out.

Speaker 8 (04:43):
But how are you going about you know, I know
we talked about scout team Retster earlier, but is he
doing all of it?

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Is doing some of it?

Speaker 6 (04:49):
Some of it?

Speaker 2 (04:49):
Yeah, just having a progression there.

Speaker 3 (04:53):
So in kickoff return for them? Just what what differentiates
him from I mean you've seen running backs would be
successful and obviously he was. You know, he's been running
back for a mastle. What does he specifically bring to that?

Speaker 2 (05:08):
Yeah, that unit of theirs, their kickoff return unit is outstanding.
They were very, very good last week up against New England,
which is a tough group as well. They do a
great job blocking and he's got excellent vision. He has speed.
If you give him a crease, he has a speed
to go. So it's an excellent group.

Speaker 3 (05:25):
Last two weeks and give him up big returns right
off the bat. Just has it been the same issue
maybe in a different player or what's.

Speaker 9 (05:33):
Sort of when you watch?

Speaker 2 (05:35):
Yeah, it's always, uh, it's never one thing, and that's
our job is to identify things that we can do better,
identify schemes, identify personnel that we can do better there
and ultimately then we got to go out and nextcute.

Speaker 5 (05:50):
I'll be able to get a little bit more out
of sun Tillman this week. And you know, when you
look at the targets, it seems like that Shador would
be best served by trying to spread the ball around
a little bit more.

Speaker 2 (06:02):
Do you think that'll happen? Yeah, I'm hopeful, and said obviously,
practicing this week will be a key for him to
to get back out there and have a full, more
full role that he's used to. And then obviously when
it comes to a pass game, you want to spread
the ball around to as many guys as you can runners, uh,
tight ends, wide receivers. I think that makes you tough,

(06:24):
tougher to defend when you're spreading the ball round.

Speaker 9 (06:27):
For rookies, but especially shoot at a quarterback, whether it's
in game or you know, coming off a game. So
how do you see him handle that like coming in
yesterday after the you know the rough games.

Speaker 2 (06:37):
Oh yeah, he's got the same attitude every single day.
What you expect from quarterbacks. You have to in this
league be able to turn the page after a loss.
You gotta be able to turn the page after a win.
You just you can't take that previous game with you,
and I think he does a great job with that.

Speaker 10 (06:53):
Said someone injured in that Chicago game because he was
on the field, but I.

Speaker 6 (06:57):
Think, yeah he was.

Speaker 2 (06:58):
He didn't practice till I think Friday of last week
because he was coming off of the concussion protocol, So
just more of a limited role because of that.

Speaker 3 (07:06):
With Jack, is there a concerned that he might just
not I mean, I know the concussions are different things,
but is there any hope that you might see him
at some point?

Speaker 2 (07:19):
As you know, with the concussion protocol, it's it's very
black and white. So just we're going to follow the
rules and make sure that we do that always with
the concussions.

Speaker 11 (07:30):
You talked about Josh and great, he is a player.
You guys are going against dual threat quarterbacks before. Obviously
you played Lamar twice a year. But does the bar
sort of start with with Josh Allen even just physically
how different he is kind of for the quarterbacks.

Speaker 2 (07:45):
Yeah, he's playing at an extremely high level.

Speaker 6 (07:48):
I don't.

Speaker 2 (07:50):
I'm sure he's right up there. I don't know who's
playing better than him at the position. He's done that
for a bunch of years now. But yeah, the dual
threat nature of what he brings to uh, to each
play is a very is a challenge for any defense. Okay,
thank you guys.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Up next Quarterback, where Sanders talked about the two deep
balls he connected on with Isaiah Bond in week fifteen's
game against the Bears, going.

Speaker 4 (08:12):
On, how y'all doing.

Speaker 6 (08:16):
Well?

Speaker 4 (08:16):
Well? What did you see looking back from the film on?

Speaker 12 (08:21):
I just gotta play better? Yeah, I just cannot make
those costs, the turnovers. You know, and have the expectation
to win.

Speaker 5 (08:29):
How have you the desire to maybe try to press
and get better in the game when you guys behind.

Speaker 12 (08:36):
Can you do anything to.

Speaker 6 (08:39):
Do that?

Speaker 13 (08:40):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (08:41):
Just romain stay focused. You should have run it on
a second. He goss to Isaiah and looked like when
he's emotion of.

Speaker 6 (08:46):
Your concess, did you change as hard as.

Speaker 4 (08:54):
Funny bro?

Speaker 6 (08:56):
Yeah?

Speaker 8 (08:57):
I mean when he has a whole just like how
confident or what's that process like like seeing stuff on
the field like.

Speaker 4 (09:03):
Making Yeah, being with all your communicating and make Yeah.

Speaker 12 (09:09):
No, it's exciting, uh knowing that, Uh, the mental side
and the progress is they're being able to see, uh
what they're doing. And I have a understanding you know,
and uh, mismatches and trying to get to those you
know earlier on.

Speaker 4 (09:27):
She's doing.

Speaker 1 (09:29):
Our teams bating you and to making mistakes because you're
a rookie.

Speaker 6 (09:35):
Or when you look at the film, do you see.

Speaker 3 (09:37):
Anything like that.

Speaker 4 (09:40):
I think people do that to all quarterbacks. I think
that's what defense is.

Speaker 6 (09:45):
Are proving the personal balance between building off of the
things that you're succeeding in and some of those decasses
that make you feel more confident.

Speaker 12 (09:53):
And then also looking at the film and yeah, yeah,
I I just gotta get more completions, you know, I
gotta get more comp and uh, even whenever we're down
or anything, I can't press, you know, I just gotta
remain uh having those mental notes to myself. Uh, just
work within the game and just keep just driving the ball,

(10:14):
get first downs.

Speaker 3 (10:15):
I know, what do you think about differences you you
were the best in completing passes in Colorado?

Speaker 6 (10:23):
Is it just the difference in competition here? And I
think that's just more sophisticated here.

Speaker 4 (10:28):
What do you account for your completion percentage?

Speaker 8 (10:31):
Uh?

Speaker 12 (10:33):
I think I gotta complete the ball more, honestly, I
mean there's no excuse when it come to that.

Speaker 9 (10:40):
You know, when you talk about building trust with the guys,
is it in area where can go kind of up
and down through the season where one week feels better
like you guys are on the same page, but it
get dipped the next week.

Speaker 4 (10:49):
Like is it always gonna be a work in progress?

Speaker 12 (10:51):
No, it's always gonna be a work in progress. It's
I it's relationships. Our relationships ain't always the best, you know,
but you still stick together through everything. So just because
when we you know, we're well connected, the next week
we're a bit off, that don't mean that we didn't
have progress.

Speaker 6 (11:07):
You know.

Speaker 12 (11:07):
It's a lot of things in that game that uh,
it's positive things that we could take from that. You know,
when it comes to trust, when it comes to different
things learning, uh, learning abilities and just different things that
different tasks take. Four like when when the game happens,
So every every moment, you know, every rep everything is

(11:30):
extremely important on building our connections.

Speaker 1 (11:33):
The great equalizer for teams when they bring the pressure.

Speaker 10 (11:37):
It seems to be like that's the game play defensively.

Speaker 11 (11:40):
Against you, Like last week's Chicago then came in like
pressure maybe thirty percent of the time and they dialed.

Speaker 6 (11:46):
Off from you.

Speaker 4 (11:47):
Yeah, as a quarterback, how do your neutral lives?

Speaker 12 (11:50):
And well, I'm just I'm just excited that I'm able
to get everybody's best.

Speaker 4 (11:54):
You know, I'm excited about that. You know that gives me.
It makes me feel proud, you know that.

Speaker 12 (12:00):
You know I have that. You know, I'm just getting
in the league, in my feet, settling in everything. So
I get excited knowing I'm able to face those challenges
because you gotta understand this, to this, to this, this
year right here, just the worst it's gonna be, you
know what I'm saying. So it's like it's just the foundation.
This is where I'm building from. This is where I'm

(12:23):
understanding different things. This where everything's translating from me. So
I'm excited about it. You know, I'm extremely excited about
it because I know I know we're gonna get him.
I know we're gonna get him eventually, somebody.

Speaker 1 (12:38):
That you have over the years.

Speaker 11 (12:41):
What do you like by this game?

Speaker 13 (12:42):
And what are this game?

Speaker 4 (12:46):
Yeah, Josh saying he's a great player, it's really good.

Speaker 2 (12:50):
What would be a satisfactory completion percentage for.

Speaker 4 (12:53):
You in the nil?

Speaker 12 (12:55):
I mean you can't I'm not really looking in the numbers.
I'm looking in the winds, you know, so that that
that achieves everything.

Speaker 13 (13:02):
You know.

Speaker 12 (13:02):
I taught to Jamis like a couple of weeks ago,
and then he went crazy. He threw for some crazy yards.
But he's like, nah, bro, like the most important thing
is the wins, you know, and having that guidance, having
that knowledge, you know, from from a vet like him,
It true, It truly like helped me understand, you know

(13:23):
a little bit more. You know, I always knew, of course,
winning and that's the final goal. That's that's that's what
everybody's in this league to do. So you know, you
just got to focus on that. And uh, the more
players you stack, the more completions you rack up, the
better chance you have at winning. So have I been
playing winning football late league now?

Speaker 4 (13:43):
I don't think so.

Speaker 12 (13:44):
But it's something that I have self evaluated and a
plot of my game.

Speaker 6 (13:52):
I just know, what what do you guys connect over?

Speaker 4 (13:56):
How do you relate to each other? We both people,
We both people.

Speaker 12 (14:02):
I I don't Jamie's not here right now, so I
I don't think it's respectful, you know, to speak on
his behalf in the in the locker room for the
other great teammates and other quarterbacks. That's here, you know,
that's helped giving me wisdom also, But that's just a person.
That's just a thing that triggered me to just speak
his name because, Uh, that was a conversation we had
at one point.

Speaker 10 (14:23):
You talk about progress, so and your heart on yourself
for those interceptions, But what progress did you make?

Speaker 4 (14:30):
I in that game last week?

Speaker 12 (14:34):
Kept playing, kept playing. That's progress. Of course, it's not
the result, you know, we we wanna do. And I
definitely take that the heart, you know, cause I understand
when I played with him football when I don't. So
it's kind of like understanding that, evaluating that, and it's
moving forward.

Speaker 14 (14:55):
Talk to Jerry about just the team's kind of showing
you a certain ones at the last came simulate the
bliss and drop it into a coverage. Like you always
talk about your self evaluation and trying to get better
each week, Just how have you How do you feel
like you've gotten better sort of diagnosed and seeing those
things and recognizing someone whose things precinct.

Speaker 12 (15:12):
Uh, I think I think I think it's we's go on.
I mean, you gotta understand I'm comfortable under pressure. It's
just we just gotta all be be together, you know,
we gotta all Like my whole career, I played under
pressure externally, you know, on the field, off the field,
Like that stuff doesn't phaze me. You get what I'm saying.
It's just, uh, the only thing is we just gotta

(15:35):
be able to make a translate. We all gotta be
on one the court. We all gotta be you know,
more of a team, you know when it comes to that.
So like it's just working progress, you know, and I'm
excited about that.

Speaker 6 (15:45):
You know.

Speaker 3 (15:46):
It's the biggest difference.

Speaker 2 (15:47):
It's the biggest difference you've notice between college defense and
NFL defense.

Speaker 12 (15:52):
It's more structured, structured as in, it's more organized.

Speaker 6 (16:00):
Help you adjusted to that. But it's not.

Speaker 4 (16:04):
Great.

Speaker 12 (16:05):
I mean, I'm I recognize, I I I see what
they're doing each and every rep.

Speaker 4 (16:09):
You know, is is helping. Is is very helpful. It's knowing.

Speaker 12 (16:14):
What you know exactly I'm looking at pre snap what.
But but a lot of that comes with trial and error,
that comes with getting reps, that comes with practicing playing
Like that's what it comes with, you know. My my
mind just so happened to be in the game. So
it it's cool, and you know, I'm excited about it.
But that's just that's just each and every week, each
and every day, you know, I feel like I get better.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
Kind of said should be.

Speaker 10 (16:40):
So what s help Merzel?

Speaker 11 (16:43):
You have set up?

Speaker 4 (16:46):
Y Se says a great player? Yeah, uh for sure.
But whoever's on the field, on the field, whoever's not
not like.

Speaker 12 (16:54):
I just focus on my job, you know, and and
what I gotta do. And I know they gonna do
their job and what they gotta do. So I'm excited
that he's back. I'm excited a lot of people are
back this week. But I just got focused on complete
the ball.

Speaker 8 (17:11):
You're gonna take a couple more I need one week
at a time.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
But what are some of the things that one season
kind of wraps up wins. Yeah, that's the main thing.

Speaker 12 (17:22):
That's the thing that excites us all that the chance
that we get to go out there and play play football.

Speaker 4 (17:28):
Make sure Jerry's just talking about your ability to throw
the ball.

Speaker 9 (17:32):
What they does for the offense and open things up.

Speaker 4 (17:34):
How much pride do you throw?

Speaker 9 (17:36):
Do you take in the ability to throw accurate?

Speaker 4 (17:39):
Plea? I just feel like it's just a throw. I
just feel like it's a throw.

Speaker 12 (17:49):
I try to anytime, you know, if we're throwing the
ball any distance, you know, I want to complete it.

Speaker 4 (17:54):
And those been getting completely lately.

Speaker 12 (17:57):
But that don't mean that, you know, I I stopped working,
I stopped doing everything just because we have some type
of success with it. But you gotta be better well rounded,
you know, all the way around. We can't just be
a deep ball thrower. We gotta be able to complete,
you know, the stuff when it's not there, when the
deep ball not there. So that's that's what I'm trying to, Yeah,

(18:18):
get better within my game.

Speaker 4 (18:20):
Tough for you.

Speaker 12 (18:22):
No, it's not that that's requires that stuff requires more
like same page the balls is more like you can
anticipate a little more, you know, cause you know the
area you know, you know, uh around where they're gonna be,
you know the margin and era you know you have
for them in in those reps. It's easier, you know,

(18:47):
but you just gotta always be on the same page,
and you always gotta like as soon as I like,
like for example, and what game was it?

Speaker 4 (18:56):
This Tennessee game? Like the dialogue me and Jerry have
a dialogue, Me and all.

Speaker 12 (19:01):
The receivers have when it's a different type of game,
may get tides around.

Speaker 4 (19:05):
Look quicker.

Speaker 12 (19:06):
You know, we're gonna have to get to these spots
a little faster because I may be there, but then
it may have not developed fully fully yet. But then
it's just playing on the same time, like thinking the
same thing. So all that stuff comes with understanding each other.
And and that's just that's just a tough thing. That's
just a tough thing.

Speaker 6 (19:25):
You know.

Speaker 12 (19:26):
We dealt with the last Bills have one of the
better pass defenses in the NFL.

Speaker 6 (19:31):
We're the worst flush defense.

Speaker 14 (19:32):
And how beneficial would have done for both you and
the offense at that wrong game to kind of get.

Speaker 2 (19:38):
Going this week?

Speaker 12 (19:40):
Yeah, whatever it's called, gone run past anything, you know,
speed option. I'm ready for it. So whatever it takes
to win, you know, I'm excited for it. And like
having those challenges going against the Bears, going against all
these great teams, like, I'm excited for it. You know,
I never reduct challenges and a and a, and I'm

(20:01):
thankful for it because I'm able to see, you know,
I'm able to see everything.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
Wide receiver Jerry Judy spoke on some of the self
inflicted wounds on the offensive side of the ball.

Speaker 9 (20:10):
Here when you went back and watched today, there's team
what's set out to you about why the offense.

Speaker 13 (20:14):
Struggle self inflicted wounds? You know, we had some penities
that had us behind the sticks, you know, as our offense.
You can't you can't play first driver, first down like that.

Speaker 6 (20:28):
Behind the sticks. So that affected us. And I think, uh,
the the bear.

Speaker 13 (20:33):
Did a good driver of this, disguising their defense, you know,
showing us one look finishing another.

Speaker 11 (20:41):
Other than that.

Speaker 6 (20:42):
Yeah, I think I think there's a lot of stuff
that we need to just correct within ourselves to Yeah.

Speaker 9 (20:47):
Well, when you watch that play on the film that
passed to you that was in accepject, who what could
you have done differently to secure.

Speaker 4 (20:55):
That ball player?

Speaker 6 (20:57):
When can I have done?

Speaker 13 (20:58):
I'm probably from looking f looking at it, I probably
you woulda said probably like slow played a little bit
instead of like trying to dump into it. Mm, it's
probably like slow player. I guess lay hands it. That's
the only thing everything think of Shure.

Speaker 8 (21:15):
You you mentioned that teams are the skis and looks
like the the bars that allow really show like covers
zero or whatever, and they drop in the like cover two.
How does it make it harder, uh, in the passing
game or as maybe even as a wide receiver when
they show one thing pre snap and then they drop
it two complete different.

Speaker 6 (21:29):
Thing both snap.

Speaker 13 (21:30):
You know, I I'll rock sometimes I rock change based
off looks, you know, just being able to see those
looks during the snap and and also having a quarterback
see what you see during the snap too as well.
You know, So that's the biggest thing. Just you know,
pre snap, you know, see the look, see the coverage,
and you know after the snap, you know, you just
gotta adjust your route depending on what what cover they play.

Speaker 10 (21:52):
How do you how do you process what you're seeing
at what at what you see from them after the snap,
and then how do you adjust your route ministream?

Speaker 13 (22:01):
Yea most I'm somewhere off to your just not not
all of it, not every repue and justice. So yeah,
depending on the ride I got or it just it
just depends on like the coverage, the technique and the
rote I have. So it's kind of a hard person
really answer without having a specific detail.

Speaker 8 (22:16):
On that go as a state where you just need
like timing, like you talking about getting time or sure way,
like one of those things where like as you get
more film on, you just kind of get a feel
for what each other is looking at and the thing I.

Speaker 6 (22:26):
Do, Yeah, I don't.

Speaker 13 (22:27):
I probably won't say times. Just more film and understanding
what what they trying to get to overall. I think
that's the that's the biggest thing.

Speaker 6 (22:33):
Really. I don't think that's really a time and thing.
It's just more understanding.

Speaker 13 (22:38):
Like, yes, they showing the cover one love, but they
dropped to cover two whole time.

Speaker 6 (22:42):
But you know there's little things like that.

Speaker 5 (22:44):
Is you know, the the timing and the the chemistry
between a quarterback and the receivers. Is that something that
really can't replicate it too much in your practice?

Speaker 13 (22:55):
Id it?

Speaker 5 (22:56):
Does it sort of have to be uh bawling out
of fly or each week and you guys want to better,
But I mean, doesn't it.

Speaker 13 (23:04):
Have to be sort of in the heat of the moment,
you know it, right, getting getting on time with the
court grad I feel like it's a everyday thing, you know,
you know it, It's it's all of a sudden new
all these things that you need to just throughout the week,
depending who we're playing and who we're going against Yeah,
so you know, having that communication and having that understand

(23:24):
what which your quarterback is gonna be.

Speaker 6 (23:26):
A lot helpful. So you know it it changed throughout
the week.

Speaker 13 (23:29):
You know, it's it's constantly talking, constantly communicating, and constant
understanding where we wanna get.

Speaker 10 (23:34):
Kind of a along those lines. How important is it
to get like real game reps?

Speaker 13 (23:38):
Then?

Speaker 10 (23:38):
Do do you guys can sit down and watch on
films and say, look, I just think it, that's here.
You know you can kind of actually see it at
a real game and show shit or what you're thinking
in a certain situation.

Speaker 13 (23:48):
It's just constant communication throughout the mere room, throughout practice
and m you know, just constantly communicating and constantly trying
to pick each other's brain and seeing what we see.

Speaker 6 (23:57):
Out there and just you know, just learn from there.
You know, Oh really, I I that's all you could
really do basically, Sure you're looking you.

Speaker 7 (24:06):
At this season. I mean, the the division has obviously
been so close and in the AFC is close in
generally the Chiefs already got on there, and that this
past week, like does that add some frustration for you
guys that like the wins haven't been able to come
and and things are just kind of shifting in so
wide open two weeks.

Speaker 6 (24:23):
Uh, of course it's all frustrating not being able to
uh win games, you know, Uh, you know we we can.

Speaker 13 (24:29):
We come here throughout the off season and throughout the week. Yeah,
just to prepare for a Sunday to beat the pub.
Been for forward and win games, you know when it
got Yeah, when that's not happening, it gets frustrating.

Speaker 6 (24:39):
So you know, you know, nobody wants to lose. So yeah,
what can you do to help?

Speaker 3 (24:44):
Uh?

Speaker 5 (24:44):
Should go the coming out the game that he had
or stay so far? Uh? What can you do?

Speaker 6 (24:50):
And is it veteran you?

Speaker 5 (24:51):
You kind of also help him?

Speaker 10 (24:53):
Who stopping fast?

Speaker 4 (24:54):
The fast?

Speaker 13 (24:55):
You know, just just just telling him, you know, one
game don't define who you are, I don't, you know,
just it it's part of football, you know. Just don't
let that dictate how you cut my hand. Practice and
trying to get better each and every week. You know,
just keep being who you are and just stay focusing
and keep the main thing the main thing you for real.

Speaker 9 (25:13):
When you see him, uh throws to your deep boss
and east join his you know, few since he took
over the starting role.

Speaker 4 (25:21):
Is that excitement for the.

Speaker 9 (25:23):
Ability to open up the offense and get those explosive
you guys before all year.

Speaker 13 (25:27):
Yeah, you know, just having to the ability to take
advantage those deep, deep shots.

Speaker 6 (25:31):
You know, it's open it open up the offense a
lot more. It's just happened.

Speaker 13 (25:34):
Defender's not sitting out, sitting on our route, you know,
and not really understanding like and not really trying to
stop the underneath him.

Speaker 6 (25:43):
Have to worry about the deep balls now, you know.

Speaker 13 (25:45):
So that helps the offense overall. So you know, you
just gotta keep cond hitting on that and keep getting
better at that.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
Something you like about the way you drows deep one.

Speaker 13 (25:54):
Uh, yeah, you know it's accurate. Uh you know, give
a give our receivers a chance to make a play
on him.

Speaker 6 (26:00):
Who's I mean the bills I.

Speaker 5 (26:01):
Think are remembered too in past defense.

Speaker 8 (26:03):
Uh what what do you see from when the.

Speaker 14 (26:05):
Past defense did you have in this game?

Speaker 6 (26:07):
Just like you know the past few teams you played.

Speaker 13 (26:09):
You know, they do a good job disguising play a
uh a bunch of different coverages, you know s.

Speaker 6 (26:16):
So that's that's where they good at real.

Speaker 4 (26:19):
Jerry, we talk so.

Speaker 10 (26:20):
Much about patience with a rookie quarterback and sometimes that
can be hard to j does that kind of apply
to you guys too sometimes as receivers to be really
patient with a guy that's maybe gotta learn on the job.

Speaker 4 (26:30):
Like stores.

Speaker 13 (26:31):
Uh yeah, of course, you know, this his first year
in the league. You know this, uh, his fourth game,
third game in the league.

Speaker 4 (26:37):
You know.

Speaker 6 (26:37):
So it's all about having the experience, you.

Speaker 13 (26:39):
Know, knowing the a young guy that just got into
the league don't really got that much experience under his belt,
you know, so you could you trying to do your
best to really you know, you know, guid him in
the right way and just help him throughout the.

Speaker 6 (26:52):
Whole process and everything like that.

Speaker 11 (26:54):
You know.

Speaker 5 (26:54):
So Yeah, and I think haven't said that Cedric children
be able to play more this weekend.

Speaker 2 (27:01):
If you only have like seven snaps last week?

Speaker 14 (27:03):
How much will that help you guys as you pass away?

Speaker 13 (27:06):
And as a receiving for that handing back out there, Jim,
it gonna help us a lot, you know, said a
big receiver you know that do a tremendous job for
us in the run game. And and then and could
tested catching row and make a place for us in
the middle of the field, you know, So having him
back out there, you know, all fully healthy and ready
to you know, play a lot more gonna help us
a lot.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
