Speaker 1 (00:00):
Real Good to Ericaism of the Day on Get Up
Mornings with Erica Campbell. You know, I encounter a lot
of people who God has done great things for, and
sometimes I find that they are hesitant to testify because
they don't want their blessing to offend someone else. I

(00:23):
have felt that before. Where you know, my marriage is good,
I'm happily married, my kids are healthy, I'm blessed, I'm working,
and I'm happy about it. But sometimes I hesitate every
now and again because I know everybody doesn't have this situation,
and I don't want them to feel bad because I'm blessed.

(00:44):
But here's my struggle. How do I testify of the
goodness of God and be more concerned about who is
offended than testifying about the goodness of God. Psal I'm
sixty six and sixteen says come in here, all you
who fear God, and I will tell you what He
has done done for my soul. That sounds like a testimony.
O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good

(01:05):
and his mercy endures forever. Let the redeemed of the
Lord say so who he has redeemed from trouble? So
when God has been good We've got a requirement to
tell of his goodness, right, and so don't be ashamed
when things are going good for you just because they're
not going good for somebody else. I don't know why,
and I don't have the explanation for you. But what

(01:25):
I do know is if you are blessed, you are
well within your right to talk about the goodness of
God in your life. I didn't say brag. I said
testify of the goodness of God, letting someone know that
what God has done for you, he can do for
them as well, because He's not a God who's respective
has respective person. And I'm only blessing this one. I'm
only blessing that one. But when you have walked in obedience,

(01:47):
when you have walked in honor, when you have loved
your neighbor, when you have been a good steward over
what God has given you, when you have handled your
situations well, when you have shown kindness to strangers, when
you have worked on yourself and on your own relationship,
and God has blessed you because of it, testify of
his goodness. That's how we encourage people. I was encouraged
to do certain things because I've seen other people do

(02:08):
certain things. When I went to a Yolanda Adam concert,
sitting on the front row, going oh, I want to
do that one day, it encouraged me. I didn't sit
in that seat and go I could sing too. Why
isn't in my chance? Why? And God bless me? I
didn't have that kind of spirit. I got excited about
somebody else's blessings. When you learn to get excited about
somebody else's blessings, God will bless you. I remember when

(02:29):
I was young and married and struggling in my marriage,
and the Holy Spirit told me, as you pray for
your friend's marriage, I will fix yours. As you look
at other people and say, oh God, I'm grateful for
the blessings in their life. As you celebrate and pray
for other people that are going through and keep my
eyes off myself, I will bless you. I believe I'm
walking in that to this day. So don't you dare
sit on your testimony of what God has done done

(02:51):
for you. Don't you sit on your testimony of what
God has done in your family and your business and
your relationship. Testify of the goodness of God, and do
it boldly. Of course, in the spirit of Christ. You know,
not trying to make nobody feel bad. But if they
do that, ain't your job to tend to you? Just
tell of God's goodness. You could be thankful and happy

(03:11):
and grateful all of that. Don't you diminish your joy
because they can't understand it. Don't you diminish your happiness
because they may not like that. It's okay, they'll get
over it. God will bless them too. But right now
it's your turn. Take your turn, and walk in your
turn and be happy about your turn. It is okay,
all right. That is my erchaism for the day. I

(03:31):
love you and I mean it. I've seen somebody do
this and it just ooh, I said, Nah, says no.
You work for this. You did what you were supposed
to do. Your business is flourishing because you put the
time in. You can't feel bad because it didn't happen
for somebody else. That's not my assignment to talk about.
So I want you to feel good about your blessings
and testify the goodness of God. All right, God is
good all the time. Then tell somebody all right, guys,

(03:54):
that's the erchaism of the day.
