Speaker 1 (00:00):
Real Josh the Ericaism of the Day on Get Up
Mornings with Erica Cabell. Well, listen, guys, y'all know that
God always causes us to do new things.

Speaker 2 (00:11):
He stretches us, He challenges us, and sometimes we say
yes and sometimes we don't. But here's what you do.
If you give God a yes. When you give God
a yes, you have to prepare yourself. You have to
prepare your mind, you have to prepare your spirit. You
have to watch what you say about what you're getting
prepared for because the enemy wants to manipulate everything, even

(00:31):
your words, so your I can't and they won't support
and it's going to be so difficult. All of those
things have an effect on how you will walk out
this next season of purpose. So many of you know, laugh, cry,
heal happened last year. My tickets go on sale today.
This is round two. I'm doing four states this time.

(00:52):
I'm super excited about it. But the preparation is so important.
It's not until October, but y'all, I've been preparing since May.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
I've been having conversations.

Speaker 2 (01:01):
I've been getting my guests, getting the churches, and trying
to get funding, which that hasn't worked. So I'm just
going for it because it's something God has called me to.
So in the meantime, I am preparing my mind to
do what God has called and challenged me to do.

Speaker 1 (01:14):
A lot of times where we miss.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
The mark is the lack of preparation or not giving
it enough time, not giving it enough intentionality with our prayers,
and even having intercesses. Listen, last year when I did it,
I definitely had an intercessor in every state that I
went to and made sure that I was covered in prayer.

(01:36):
Because it's easy to get frustrated with things. It's easy
to become overwhelmed. It's easy to put the focus in
the wrong place. You know, a lot of times we
get angry and the anger is misguided because something's not
going wrong on the left, and so on the right.
You're handling that person wrong and it had nothing to do.
It's all those things that you have to pay attention to,
and it can be a lot. But I believe the

(01:58):
scripture when it says I can do all things through Christ,
who gives me strength.

Speaker 1 (02:01):
I can go through the easy things and the hard things.

Speaker 2 (02:04):
I can have everything and not have everything and still
hold on to my faith, realizing that I'm walking in purpose,
realizing that God called me to it. He's going to
equip me for it, and I've got to follow his word.
I've got to get in his words so I know it.
You know, the words has hide the word in your
heart that you might not sin against God. A lot
of times because the word is not in your heart,
is really easy for the enemy to throw you off.

(02:26):
It's really the easy for the enemy to get you
in the wrong step with the Lord. And then sometimes
folks be proud of it. Don't mess with me because
you know I'm saved, but don't push me, y'all. Ain't
that ain't cute and it ain't pleasing to God. And
so when God has called you to something, let's make
sure our hearts are right, make sure that we handle
it right, make sure that we prepare and listen.

Speaker 1 (02:47):
There is grace and there is mercy.

Speaker 2 (02:48):
So we make space for mistakes because we're not perfect,
but we have to at least try to live right
and love right and do right and treat people right.
Listen as gracious and it's kind and as good as
God has been to me, How dare I act crazy
and treat people mean, get self centered, to make things
all about me.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
No way, I'm not doing it because I want to
see Jesus. This ain't even about people.

Speaker 2 (03:11):
This is about He's gonna come back, and I want
to be ready. And so as I walk out this
next level of purpose in my life, which is laugh
cry here, still very new, only my second time ever
doing it, so I'm sure there will be a lot
of bumps, but I want to make sure that I
make space for God to be great in my life,
make space for God to have his way at this situation,

(03:32):
so that means my issues have to come secondary to
the purposes of God.

Speaker 1 (03:36):
And when you learn to put God first, when you learn.

Speaker 2 (03:39):
To see God first, trust him first, call him, ask
him first, you can't help but be blessed.

Speaker 1 (03:45):
That is my richaism for the day. Y'all.

Speaker 2 (03:47):
I love you and I mean it. I'm getting ready
and I'm keeping God first. So y'all pray for me.
I know y'all did last time, and it really was
a blessing. I saw so many members of the Get
Up Church, and I hope I see you again.
