Speaker 1 (00:01):
Walk right now. Amen, Yes, it is time for the
faith walking. Today. I want to talk about worshiping in
front of your children.

Speaker 2 (00:13):
One thing I will never forget, and it is hearing
my father seeing and worship and pray at home. Waking
up to seeing him on his knees in the living
room was life changing for me. And the reason it
was so healthy because his worship wasn't connected to his
perfect to his perfect nature. It was connected to his

(00:35):
brokenness and his desire to still get in the presence
of God even though there were issues. And I.

Speaker 1 (00:44):
Hold on to that even today.

Speaker 2 (00:45):
So I challenge parents to understand the power of worshiping
in front of your children. I think it's very dangerous
when we tell our kids we're going to church because
this is necessary for my life.

Speaker 1 (00:56):
But while I'm here, you can be on your phone
the whole time.

Speaker 2 (00:59):
This is it's a life changing, a necessity in my
life to worship and to get into presence of God.
But while you hear, you can play with your friends.
We are teaching them that the presence and power of
God isn't that important. When I was little, while my
father prayed and while we got ready for church on Sunday,
it wasn't playtime. We literally had to sit down at
old school in our slips with rollers in our hair,

(01:20):
while we waited on my mom to get dressed, and
we had to learn to sit still while he played
worship music, and while we got our minds and hearts
ready for church. So when we got to church, it
was easy for us to sit down because we practiced
at home. What you model in front of your children
is teaching them how to walk out their faith. And
so let's make sure that they see us praying, that
they see us meditating and even spending time with the Father.

(01:43):
You know, the word tells us to meditate on him.
How does that look? What does that look like in
your house? My mom used to play the Bible tape.
She had this big white plastic folder with all the
tapes of the entire Bible, and she would take him
out and put him in Oh Lord Jesus, Psalms one,
and it would go through all of Psalms. It would

(02:03):
no matter how far we was driving, we were listening
to Bible saves the whole day. She does it now
she just does it on YouTube. But it literally taught
me something. It taught me how to shift the atmosphere
in my house, in my car, when my kids, When
I feel that weird energy, I just begin to worship.
Why Because I saw my parents do it. They modeled
it in front of me. What are you modeling in

(02:25):
front of your children? Are you modeling a life with Christ?
Or just going to church? Are we modeling good character
and good practices that teach them how to fall deeper
in love and develop their own walk with Christ. Let's
do better, Let's do more that. Don't just take them
to church. Teach them Jesus. Teach them how to operate
on a Wednesday, on a random Wednesday when it's not

(02:45):
Bible study, by watching how you walk out your faith?

Speaker 1 (02:49):
All right? That is my faith walk for the day,
all right, Good people,
