The historic community of Altadena, California, once a pioneering area
for black and brown homeowners, was completely destroyed by the
Eton fire that swept through the Los Angeles area in January.
Speaker 4 (02:27):
Over twenty four days.
Speaker 7 (02:29):
The fire scorched fourteen thousand acres, destroyed more than nine
thousand structures.
Speaker 4 (02:34):
And clanged eighteen lives.
Speaker 7 (02:36):
Once home to forty two thousand residents and nestled in
the scenic San Gabriel Mountains, Altadena's future now hangs in
uncertainty as investigators searched for the fire's cause and people
try to get their lives back on track. Coach Prime
Dion Sanders revealed Monday that he has recovered from an
aggressive form of bladder cancer. Doctors discovered the tumor during
(02:59):
a routine evaluation for a vascular condition, and he ultimately
chose to undergo bladder removal surgery. Following the successful procedure
and the creation of a new bladder, Sanders is now
cancer free, according to his medical team. Hiring your child

I'd let me go tell your happy birthday real quick.
Speaker 6 (05:57):
If you're listening to get up, it's Get Up Mornings
with Erica Campbell and that's my song.
Speaker 4 (06:03):
I'm yours and it's time now for the faith walk? Okay,
can I be?
Speaker 6 (06:07):
I'm gonna tell on myself, So I'm not talking about you.
I'm just talking about me. Before probably the last ten years,
my version of faith is that I knew that God
was doing something. I knew that God was opening a
door for me when he literally swung open a door
that I did not even knock on, and I just
sat in some chair and watched a very passive posture
(06:29):
of faith. And you know, I believe that that is
a posture, but I don't believe that's the only posture
of faith. And so that's one of the things that
I'm learning right now that faith is not always about
standing still and watching. Sometimes faith is about moving. So
in Hebrews eleven and eight, it talks about Abraham and
it says by faith, Abraham obeyed and went even though
(06:52):
he didn't know where he was going.
Speaker 4 (06:54):
So that means that he didn't have a plan, he
didn't have a place.
Speaker 6 (06:56):
All he had was a word. And so if you've
ever been in that position, number one, I overstand it
is difficult. It's scary sometimes, but I just believe that
God is sometimes calling us to move. We talk about
all the time that the steps of it of a
righteous man are ordered by the Lord, but we're not
taking any steps, So then what is he ordering? So
(07:17):
let's take what Abraham did. He heard, he obeyed, and
then he went Because I know what you're gonna say, Well,
I'm waiting on God. I'm waiting on God. I've been
waiting and waiting and waiting, and sometimes God is waiting
on us, waiting on us to trust him, waiting on
us to take the first step to stop idolizing, like, oh,
(07:39):
when it's perfect or when this happens, then I'll move.
When this happens, then I'll do it and start walking
in confidence. And like I said, I'm not talking about you,
I'm talking about me. I'm not you already have it together.
Me myself personally, I'm learning that faith is not always waiting.
Sometimes faith is walking. So if that is the position
(08:01):
that you're in, if you know that the Lord has
called you to something, if you know that there's something
that He's called you to do, and even if you're
not sure about it yet, can I encourage you just
to start walking and trust that on the walk, he
will order your steps that on the walk he is
faithful enough to guide you and course correct.
Speaker 4 (08:19):
And no, baby, not right there, maybe over here. Now
move in some direction. And it is scary.
Speaker 6 (08:26):
Let me just be honest, Cheryl. Now it is scary,
it is terrifying. I am currently terrified, but I'm still
moving and I have found God to be faithful. So yes,
waiting is a posture of faith, but it's not the
only posture. There's something else that you can do. You
can walk in faith just like Abraham. He heard, he obeyed,
(08:51):
and then he moved in the direction of a place
that he didn't even know where he was going. So
if you feel like that's you, you are in good company.
Add your name to the list of those that had
to walk in faith. You know, you talked about the
waiting piece, and sometimes you gotta you gotta what God say.
(09:11):
You still gotta work it out right, You still gotta work.
You don't have to just sit idle, because sitting idle
causes anxiety, causes you know, you to lose, and then
waiting causes strength, So it causes you to exercise their
strength bone, as Griff would say.
Speaker 4 (09:26):
So yeah, I'm learning it.
Speaker 6 (09:29):
I'm learning it for sure, so hopefully that encourages you
guys as well, to walk, not just wait. That's good
faith posture. Casey J's info Erica today.
Speaker 1 (09:39):

is live with the Five Things You Need to Know Sieves.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
Good morning, Good morning girl, being.
Speaker 9 (14:56):
Good morning lady, and gentlemen, how are you?
Speaker 3 (14:59):
Yes, that was sitting in so me and keseyj gonna
go back and forth, but let me go first. Spend
six months since the Eating Fires and the Five Things
You Need to Know Newsletter. You talk about the families
that lost their homes. Tell us about that, please.
Speaker 9 (15:14):
Yesterday we talked about the Palistape Fire, and today we're
bringing people up to date about the Eating Fire. That,
of course, is in the historic community of Altadena, California,
once a pioneering area where black and brown homeowners could
really start their path and journey towards generational wealth. It
(15:34):
was completely destroyed by the eating fire that swept through
and so over those days in January, the fire scorched
fourteen thousand acres, destroyed more than nine thousand structures, and
claimed eighteen lives and forty two thousand residents who once
lived there in the foothills of the San Gabriel Mountains
(15:56):
as future now in uncertainty. Families who really like there's
one family that had nine pieces of property and they're
struggling to get it, not only to make some sense
out of what has happened, but also to get back
on their feet. And the minutia of business and politics
(16:19):
and things like that is making it difficult for people
to get back to where they once were if they can,
and so just showing the grit determination of people to
do this, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (16:33):
I understand that.
Speaker 6 (16:34):
Man. You also bring attention to bladder cancer since Deon
Sanders diagnosis, Can you talk us a little more about that.
Speaker 9 (16:40):
Absolutely. Dion Sanders coach prime as he's no now head
coach of the University of Colorado Buffalo's revealed yesterday he
had a press conference and people were wondering, what was
this going to be is he going to stick around
this coach of the college football team would just a
lot of questions. And he was very very open and
(17:01):
revealing Monday that he has recovered from an aggressive form
of bladder cancer. They discovered the tumor during a routine
evaluation for a vascular condition, and he chose to go
with the options that he was given. He chose to
undergo the removal of his bladder and following a successful procedure,
the creation of a new bladder. All of this is
(17:23):
very new tech and you know it was a lack
ofstopic surgery, robotic and all of that. The bottom line
is with his medical team there yesterday at his side,
Deon Sanders said he has cancer free. The team the
doctor said, he has cured and it looks like he
is headed back to the sidelines of the Buffalo's football team.
(17:47):
And it is this bladder cancer is one of those
one of the top ten, if I can call it,
that cancers in that we have in our in our bodies.
And so the possibility is that he might not have
discovered this had he not already been in treatment for
something else. But he' using people to get treated to
(18:07):
find out what's going on in their bodies and to
stay on top of their medical issues because of his
previous medical conditions really affected and determined how this was
going to be treated. And the fact that they found
it so early.
Speaker 1 (18:24):
Well great.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
And in your good news story you share a heartwarming
story about a father who swears in his son as
an attorney.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
That let's talk about that.
Speaker 9 (18:34):
Don't you love this when you have we were talking
about generational wealth when talking about generational professionalism. David Braxton Jr.
Was sworn in as an attorney by a judge who
happened to be his dad in a ceremony held in
his father's courtroom in Detroit. It filled a hut with
(18:54):
a hug and it symbolized legacy, hard work, and generational pride,
something that David shared in his Instagram and he said,
it's a moment I'll never forget, and it probably is
a moment no one will forget, including his father, mister
Brackton or Judge Braxton Senior. I should say, as well
as people who read the post, it is it's really
heartwarming and understanding how we you know, what we do
(19:18):
affects those that come behind us. And this is a
perfect example of legacy and caring on for the family name.
Speaker 3 (19:27):
I literally just took a picture of the state bar
Georgia Bild and I said, I know so many lawyers
that failed this many times, but they're lawyers.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
So thank you for calling us.
Speaker 3 (19:38):
Look her up at Sibilwills dot com to subscribe for
a free daily newsletter, and follow her on social media
at Sybil Wills. But you can check out her YouTube
show Monday through Friday at eight seven Central Siems.
Speaker 9 (19:49):
I love you, I love you back, case you have
a great time.
Speaker 6 (19:53):
You're with the bank.
Speaker 1 (19:53):
You love Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
If you're listening to Get Up, it's Get Up Morning.
It's with Erica Campbell.
Speaker 6 (20:08):
I am Casey and for Erica today and that was
my song one day and now it's time for I'll
call it my Caseyism.
Speaker 4 (20:18):
Now.
Speaker 6 (20:18):
I was talking with Cheryl and Erica about this last
week when I was here just offline, and we were
talking about that sometimes you think about whether or not
God is finished with you, and I told them I've
been thinking about this verse in Acts Acts thirteen thirty six.
It talks about David, who is one of my favorite
Bible characters obviously worship leader.
Speaker 4 (20:38):
Come on.
Speaker 6 (20:38):
So it says for David, after he had served the
purpose of God and his own generation, fell asleep and
was laid with his fathers and saw corruption. Basically, what
it was saying was, after David had finished God's purpose
for him in his generation, he passed away.
Speaker 4 (20:55):
He took his last breath.
Speaker 6 (20:57):
And I know that seems a little bit morbid, but
for me and hopefully for you, it tells you something
that's really comforting. David didn't die, and then God said
he was finished. He was finished once he fell asleep,
and once he finished his purpose, which means that if
you're still breathing, God is still working. And I know
we like to think like there's this one thing that
(21:17):
I'm meant to do, and I just don't think that.
I don't think that purpose is some single moment. I
think it's a series of assignments. Think about David. He
went from shepherd to warrior, it's a fugitive to king,
worship her father. And I don't think that means God
changed his mind about what David was supposed to do,
and anymore that he's changing his mind about what he's
called you to do. God's purpose had different expressions across
(21:39):
seasons of his life, but it did not expire, and
I think the same thing is true for us. So
I know sometimes after a major change, a job transition,
maybe your kids are growing up, or even you had
a big accomplishment, you start to wonder, is God finished
with me?
Speaker 4 (21:56):
I'm here too.
Speaker 6 (21:57):
I had a birthday a few weeks ago and I
felt like I hit my mid life christ a few
years early.
Speaker 4 (22:01):
I ain't gonna hold you. I was like, oh, we're
done here. I'm dramatic first of all, girl, but let's
say that's how I felt.
Speaker 6 (22:12):
But here's the truth. Your purpose doesn't end because one
chapter has closed. God's plan for you is from alpha
to omega, from your first breath to your very last.
So then here's the question that you asked, is God
done with me? And here's my answer. How will you
know that God is done with you? You'll know when
you wake up in his presence. We will know that
(22:33):
he's finished when we wake up and we're with him
until that moment. God is still working purpose out in
and through you. So if you're in a season of transition,
if you're having a mid life crisis with me.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Or you're just wondering. Man, have I seen the best
of what God has for me?
Speaker 13 (22:51):
You have not.
Speaker 6 (22:53):
You will know He is finished with you when you
are at home with him. God is far from finished
with you, You with me, with Cheryl, with you, Griff,
He far from finished with you too. Your birthday coming
up in September, and there's still more than God wants
to do through y'all. All right, that's so good.
Speaker 4 (23:14):
That's so good. When she shared that with us last
I was like, Ksey, Yeah, we had to run that
one back.
Speaker 6 (23:20):
If you're breathing, If you're breathing, yeah, man, I have
to tell myself that for sure. It's good and that
good all right, Griff, Joys and Concerns is coming up next.
I'm excited a c J I for Erica today and
we've got a great, great show in store. So Joys
and Concerns are up next. Y'all know what that's about.
I don't know what it's about much, but.
Speaker 3 (23:44):
Yeahs tambourine like all the things coming up next, So
cut up for it with Erica Campbell.
Speaker 2 (24:00):
If you're listening to get up Campo, let the church
say amen. Time for Joys and concerns.
Speaker 5 (24:10):
Morning.
Speaker 6 (24:12):
Well say you some of the most Hi God, We're
coming to you live from the get up Church of
our Lord Bapto Costo, Non Denominational, Denominational AM, C, M, E, E,
N G, element O p Appostolic Church of God and Christ.
Speaker 3 (24:27):
All right, progress, let Lord use you. Thank you, substitute Pastor,
Elder Cheryl, You're Welcomeie, Mark Gregory, and Dearyld Trish.
Speaker 1 (24:40):
Mark is a first given honor to.
Speaker 3 (24:46):
God who's ahead of my life. I like to sail
glass to be in the house of the Lord. Or
one more time, Elder Geryl. Huh because he bron me
from a mighty mighty long way. Mark Gregory, I'm could
have been sleeping in the grain.
Speaker 4 (25:02):
But God is good all the time, all the time.
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Yes, I just like to, uh, just say some things
about our guests today.
Speaker 4 (25:17):
Casey J. What did I do informant?
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Well, you a snitch? Case I'm gonna tell you why. Sureyl.
Speaker 3 (25:28):
I'm driving doing my regular drive coming to the studio,
and then I see Reggie Baker calls me, so I'm like,
oh God, Reggie, good morning. He says, hey, Casey J.
Is uh she came in early and she's waiting for
you in the parking lot.
Speaker 1 (25:45):
Where are you? And I was like, well, Reggie, that's
me and my car business. Never told you where I
was in the morning, and I don't think we should
start because of Casey J.
Speaker 3 (25:56):
So number one Casey J got is snitching first thing
in the morning, and then and then when I get
everything out my truck. And she realized when I come
up here, she said, do you have a real tambourine
that you bring in the real world? I realize She said,

Speaker 3 (26:38):
He'm all right, somebody else saying, wait a minute, you
are a black auntie gun the grib.
Speaker 4 (26:44):

Speaker 6 (28:59):
So co this hour is Wake Up and Win with
Doctor Will Day's message is faith, Use it, don't lose it.
We'll also talk with our guest host today, Casey Jay,
to see what she's working on. That new single is Fire.
We're gonna present that this hour, so make sure you
check that out. And music's on the way from Jacquelin
car t I, Javonte Patton.
Speaker 4 (29:21):
Right now, here's Don Lawrence with words on Get Up
Mornings with Erica cam It's Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell.
That is my latest single, song of my Life. It
was a laugh for me. It's a strong chuckle in
the middle. I started thinking about goodness and mercy. I'm like, Lord,
you did that my whole life. It's a feel good
(29:45):
song and you're right right in the midst of worship.
Speaker 6 (29:48):
I love to see you worship like you take your
shoes off and you just go for it, which is
crazy because I don't really like feet, but I do
take you got You're comfortable, You're not that, You're not
that artist, says the Lettos.
Speaker 4 (30:01):
You like, get right down with the people. And even
though you said this was a studio session, it really
feels live.
Speaker 1 (30:08):
I thank you.
Speaker 6 (30:10):
This is my very first time doing studio session. You know,
I normally do live because I'm a worship leader and
I'm like, I need the people, I need the people.
But this was such a different experience and like to
still try to capture what I felt like the Lord
was doing, but I had some chance to try a
couple of things, and so I think that's what you
hear in the final product for sure.
Speaker 4 (30:29):
So thank y'all.
Speaker 6 (30:30):
It's so much all right, So for people who don't
know you were an educator before you got into the
worship space and then became an artist, because it's a
totally different thing for you to be just a worship
leader and then an artist, right, talk about your transition.
Speaker 4 (30:45):
Education to that to that.
Speaker 7 (30:47):
You know what?
Speaker 4 (30:47):
Someone actually sent me an email.
Speaker 6 (30:49):
I run an online learning community for worship leaders, so
I'm still kind of teaching actually, but they asked me
about when I left the teaching profession and went into
a full time industry, and I told them I did
all three.
Speaker 4 (31:03):
So I was Casey J.
Speaker 6 (31:04):
Somebody's teacher and a full time worship pastor at the
same time for months until I woke up and the
Lord said today, wow, And so I did all of
them until the Lord kind of released me in the
full time ministry.
Speaker 4 (31:15):
And that is ten years ago. Wow, that is a yeah.
Speaker 6 (31:21):
So that's where that's where that chuckle came from. I
started to think, like, Lord, you don't kept me for
ten years without like a real job. Really, Surely goodness.
Speaker 4 (31:30):
And mercy been following me absolutely, Man, I'm a testimony.
Speaker 6 (31:36):
The Lord hovers over his word like watching waiting to
perform it, and he remembers what we often forget, and
so I've been able to experience that for ten years.
So just this project, Song of my Life is a
part of a project, so that there is an EP
coming out very very soon with Song of my Life
and some other songs that are really close to my heart.
Speaker 4 (31:54):
Thank you for asking, Cheryl. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
I'm excited about it.
Speaker 6 (31:58):
When you do new music, you know we get behind
and support it, but just the authentic worshiper that you are.
Speaker 4 (32:04):
I love, love, love to see you. Thank you, yeah yeah,
yeah yeah, So some real music.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
We don't like to blow smokey Will. We'll not talk
about the music if we don't like the music.
Speaker 4 (32:17):
That's like when you say the baby got a nice
head band? Yes, beautiful, beautiful.
Speaker 1 (32:26):
Where did you get the strong? Will is beautiful? I
guess co host is Casey J.
Speaker 6 (32:34):
And man, we love you so much. You were just
here while Griff was in Japan. I was you know,
we had to have you back.
Speaker 1 (32:41):

Speaker 6 (32:41):
You just feel so good. You know, you bring a
really beautiful era aura to our show, and we thank you.
I don't know what I was going to say, but
a good addition, how about that?
Speaker 4 (32:53):
Thanks? So yes, Erica had to I think.
Speaker 6 (32:59):
She's speaking for some lawyers, some professionals or something today.
She's like, call Casey and you jump right in. So
we really appreciate that. Listen. Song of my Life is
out for digital download for streaming. You guys, get it,
get it, get it, get all things, Casey J. And
just have a nice worship session. You know, I just
always see myself you know outside singing Casey.
Speaker 4 (33:21):
J sing, She's on gissels. Wake up and win with
doctor Willy Jolly's up next. Don't get up morning.
Speaker 2 (33:29):
If you're listening to Get Up Camp, it's trying to
wake up and win with doctor Willie Jolly.
Speaker 1 (33:44):
It's another great day.
Speaker 11 (33:45):
This is Doctor Willy Jolly, author of the book or
Setbacks are set up for a comeback.
Speaker 1 (33:49):
And it is now come back time.
Speaker 11 (33:51):
Face is one of the most powerful forces in the universe.
It can help you turn your setbacks into incredible comebacks.
Once you decide to maximize your face, everything changes. See
Charles Udell said, Oh he who loses money, oh he
loses much.
Speaker 1 (34:06):
He who loses a friend loses more. Yet he who
loses faith loses all.
Speaker 11 (34:11):
We go through life with a series of God or
dayed opportunities brilliantly disguised as challenges. It takes partnership with God.
See God is going to do his part. The question
is are you going to do your part?
Speaker 4 (34:23):
Now? Is this time?
Speaker 6 (34:24):
Now? Right?
Speaker 11 (34:25):
Now is the time to stand up, move forward in
faith with confidence that you are well prepared and ready
and able to win because you and God create a
winning team. So now is your time to move with faith.
Act on it now, This says doctor Willie Jolly. Look,
go to win with Willy dot com. Win with Willy
dot com for resources to help you win more and
remember your best. He's yet you heard from us.
Speaker 9 (34:47):
I'm so excited, really because I got through and I
get a morning.
Speaker 6 (34:54):
All right, So today I thought we play a game
of lyrically correct. You know, we all to talk about
the state of gospel music. I thought we have some
fun today and play another round of lyrically correct.
Speaker 4 (35:08):
Come on, v knows what the game show music?
Speaker 9 (35:11):
I love this.
Speaker 3 (35:12):
If people don't know, Cheryl, give me and Casey j
some examples of the game.
Speaker 6 (35:17):
That's not on our paper, please, that's not on your paper. Yeah,
come on, all right, you're Cheryl Jackson. Oh yeah, yeah,
all right. So Donald Lawrence, Donald Lawrence sings this with
Leandrea Johnson.
Speaker 4 (35:36):
What is he asking her? What is he asking God
to do?
Speaker 6 (35:42):
Oh?
Speaker 1 (35:42):
Oh, I got it?
Speaker 4 (35:43):
Uh deliver me, deliver me.
Speaker 1 (35:46):
Yes, I was gonna say, tell him visits her Exodus.
Speaker 3 (35:53):
All right.
Speaker 4 (35:54):
Yeah, it's the same song, but it's delivery Delivery.
Speaker 6 (35:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (35:59):
So that's how you play the game.
Speaker 6 (36:01):
So we said, here's the example, Bishopaul Morton wants to
God to open the floodgates of heaven to do what
and he let it rain?
Speaker 1 (36:09):
Yeah, I was that's how.
Speaker 6 (36:15):
It rain.
Speaker 4 (36:16):
Yeah, right, so you.
Speaker 1 (36:20):
He buzzed you.
Speaker 6 (36:21):
He buzzed you, but it is let it rain. So
that's how you play lyrically correct. And so you know,
I just want folks to know we know gospel music.
We love gospel music. We know gospel music. We sing
gospel music right right up. So lyrically correct is the game.
Were playing the game.

oh seriously, but now you know what.
Speaker 4 (44:14):
It's fine.
Speaker 6 (44:15):
Here's CC Winings with one of my favorite songs, that's
my King on Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell. I
hope they let me come back. It's Good Up Mornings
with Erica Kimball. That was my song if God, I
love that song. I won't say it's my favorite, but
I love it.
Speaker 4 (44:35):
J Is it one of your favorites?
Speaker 7 (44:37):
It is?
Speaker 6 (44:39):
I'm kcyj and for Erica today and now it's time
for my love talk. You know what I said before
that my best friend turned forty on Sunday, So we
went out and you know, did all of the things
to celebrate, and we celebrated nearly twenty five years of friendship.
Speaker 4 (44:53):
I ain't y'all known each other for real since almost
the first day of college.
Speaker 6 (44:58):
But one of the things I learned, and we both
learned over the years, is that sometimes the greatest gift
you have to offer the people you love is presence.
It's not answers, it's not solutions. You don't always have
to fix them, you don't always have to have Sometimes
you just need to sit with them, just need their presence.
I think about the story of Job and Job chapter two.
(45:20):
Job's friends are most people kind of shade them. They
said they got it wrong. They told him he did
something wrong, and he's saying and the Lord wouldn't fooling with.
Speaker 4 (45:27):
Him no more.
Speaker 6 (45:27):
But before they started talking trash in chapter two, they
actually got it right. So Joe two thirteen says, and
they sat with him on the ground seven days and
seven nights, and no one spoke a word to him,
for they saw that his suffering was great. And I
think sometimes that's what love does. It sits with people,
even if it's seven days and seven nights. They didn't
(45:48):
try to fix anything. They didn't rush them to get
through it. They didn't say, oh man, you'll get over it,
or you know when praises go up, but let they
didn't do any of that.
Speaker 4 (45:56):
They just said, because sometimes you're like, shut up now
and listen.
Speaker 6 (46:04):
Like sitting with people is not just social, it is sacred,
it's holy. And so I've called it the ministry of presence.
It's saying that sometimes with our presence, you know, we
don't have the right words. And I've experienced that in
my friendship, saying hey it sa It's like I don't
even know what's going on either, but I'll just sit
with you in it. And sometimes love operates most deeply
(46:25):
when we just stay. You don't have to say nothing
all the time. I know it gets uncomfortable just sit
with people sometimes, and I'm thankful that even over the
last twenty five years of friendship, we've been able to
sit with each other through some of the hardest seasons
of our lives. And it's my prayer that you know,
we learn that the ministry of presence is all oftentimes
(46:46):
what love does it doesn't fix it, doesn't try to
offer some you know, big long list of Bible versus.
Speaker 4 (46:52):
It just stays.
Speaker 6 (46:55):
So if there is somebody you love, the next time
they bring you a hard thing, before you try to
fix it, before you try to diagnose it, just sit
with them and offer them the ministry of presents.
Speaker 4 (47:06):
I think that also frees up a lot of people too,
because you feel like you have to have something.
Speaker 6 (47:10):
I know and I get it right, you trying to Yeah,
oh yeah, you're making it up. You're making it up
a little bit.
Speaker 4 (47:19):
So before you do that, just sit with them.
Speaker 6 (47:21):
I know. It has been a lifeline for me for
her to just be like, hey, this is terrible, and
I'm gonna sit here and we're just gonna agree that
this is terrible.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
That yeah, I like it.
Speaker 4 (47:31):
That's the love talk. That's what love does. That's what
it does. Just sits.
Speaker 13 (47:36):
I like it.
Speaker 4 (47:37):
I like it, all right.
Speaker 6 (47:38):
Casey Jay's in for Erica today, and what an amazing

A shooting at Midtown Manhattan office building yesterday left at
least five people dead, including an off duty New York
City police officer. The Associated Press says that the suspect
was identified as Shane Temura of Nevada. Two people briefed
on the investigation told our source that he fatally also
shot himself. Now. Law enforcement officials located identification on Tomorrow's body,
(48:55):
including a concealed carry permit from Las Vegas. The people
were authorized to discuss details on the ongoing investigation and
spoke to the news source on conditions on animidity. This
is crazy, but I really would love to know why
he did. I mean, is it a terrorist attack because
everybody's looking to see was this a terrorist thing or
(49:17):
what is happening?
Speaker 4 (49:18):
What happened there? But we're going to follow this story
and continue to give you updates.
Speaker 6 (49:22):
And in other news, well, I love this one. Found
this on get up erica dot com. Artist Amy cheryld
renowned for her portrait of former First Lady Michelle Obama,
has canceled her American Sublime exhibition at the Smithsonian National
Portrait Gallery citing censorship concerns the conservatory. The controversy centers
(49:44):
on her painting Transforming Liberty, which depicts the Statue of
Liberty modeled after a transgender artist. Now. Smithsonian officials reportedly
raised concerns about the painting, fearing it might offend President
Donald Trump and his supporter, So before they decide to
love it, she said, I'll remove it. I'll move it,
