Today’s Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell centers around actionable faith, spiritual insight, and heart-centered love. The Faith Walk theme, “Double,” examines the biblical promise of a double portion—reflecting on Isaiah 61:7 and encouraging listeners to stretch their faith for multiplied blessings. Erica's Erica-ism of the Day, “Proper Preparation,” urges that readiness—spiritually, emotionally, and practically—sets the stage for God's timing and purpose.

The Love Talk segment, “Misguided Anger,” explores how unmanaged emotions can harm relationships and offers strategies for redirecting anger toward understanding and communication. Gospel powerhouse Martha Munizzi visited to discuss her new single “He’s in Control,” sharing how personal trials, including a car accident and family loss, inspired the song and affirmed her trust in God’s sovereignty. She also reflected on her induction into the Women’s Songwriters Hall of Fame—an honor highlighting her spiritual and musical impact. Finally, Dr. Willie Jollie challenged listeners in “How to Get Clear on What You Really Want,” guiding them to define goals aligned with purpose and direction.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott added congressional redistricting to the upcoming
special session that begins today in Texas, raising the possibility
of flipping at least one Democratic seat in San Antonio.
This comes after President Trump pushed Republicans to gain five
additional House seats from Texas in order to regain control

(02:30):
of Congress. The special session, by the way, we'll also
address issues like flood relief, the regulation of THHC, and
school testing. A biden Earra student loan relief program is
coming to an end, and it could mean bigger bills
for millions. The Trump administration says the interest free payment
pause under the Saved Plan will expire August first. Firowers

Its ministry Monday and Willie May McIver explains that while
hope and faith are often confused they serve different spiritual purposes.
Faith is rooted in present belief, while hope looks toward
the future. She emphasizes that biblical hope is a confident
expectation based on God's promises and faithfulness. Willie May also
reminds us that hope is a divine gift, part of

boxing Manny Pacquiao might have walked away with the WBC
title this weekend, but the real story well, boxing took
more than a game at forty five.

Speaker 2 (04:28):
The legend proved he still has heart.

Speaker 5 (04:30):
But critics say this wasn't a comeback, it was a farewell.
The ring might have just stolen his last real shot
at elite glory. Hey respect the champ, but the gloves

Faith walking right now, amen.

Speaker 1 (06:08):
Faith walk.

Speaker 2 (06:11):
Yes, it is time of the faith walk of the day.
And I love when I come across those scriptures that
encourage me and remind me that God doesn't forget his
faithful ones. My mama been in church her whole life,
My aunties, they've all been in church their whole life.
And is easy to just live for heaven as if
there will be no blessing down here on earth. I

(06:33):
love the scripture that says the blessings of the Lord,
make it the rich and adith no sorrow. And I
love the one that says you will see the goodness
of God in the land of the living. This one
is good too, as the three, five and six. I
am bestowing double honor and double favor upon those who
have stood in the face of their enemies, never wavering

(06:54):
in their faith. Listen, God's got double honor for you,
those of you who have lived. You've walked upright. When
you fail, you got back up. You helped others. You
stayed first and dedicated to the ministry. When life got tough,
you still held on to Jesus. The Bible says in
Esther that you will receive double honor and double favor

(07:15):
because you stood in the face of your enemies, and
you were never wavering in your faith. You never let
go of the hand of the Lord. You never walked
away from the kingdom. And I just celebrate you today,
and I want to encourage you those would you know
you figure it well, you know, maybe I'll just get
in heaven. Maybe I'll just never see it down here.
I pray that you see the goodness of God in

(07:35):
the land of the living. I pray that you see
it in a way that people around you will recognize
that God rewards those that stick with him, that God
is the rewarder of those that stand in the face
of the enemy, and say, I'm still not letting go
of his hand. I'm still not walking away from God,
despite what I lost, despite what they said, despite what
my financial situation, I'm still never letting go of Jesus.

(07:58):
Hold on and watch God reward you. Be encouraged today.
I know you can a little discouraged. Sometimes we'll be
encouraged today. He hasn't forgotten you. He sees you, He
knows where you are, and just at the right time,
that blessing is coming for you to you in the
face of your enemies, and you'll give God praise. And
He already knows you're gonna give him praise. So be
encouraged today. All right, that's my faith walking today. I

(08:19):
love you and I mean it. Now's birthday shout out time.

My weekend was great.

Speaker 12 (13:23):
We actually went to church, shout out to church and
had a great time. We were in a new series
called at the Movies, so we got to eat popcorn
and candy and chill out during church and but.

Speaker 10 (13:34):
The presences of go still there and it was it
was a great.

Speaker 2 (13:36):
Daylie Cheryl, how was yours?

Speaker 12 (13:42):
I was askeding what's the name of her church? And
good morning, Cheryl, Good morning. Our church is in Orlando, Florida,
actually Winterburg, Florida. It's called Epic Life Church. And we
love Jesus, we love to worship and we're just having
a good old time down here in Orlando.

Speaker 2 (13:59):
Wonder love it. How long have you guys been a minister?

Speaker 3 (14:01):
Now?

Speaker 10 (14:01):
We are about to celebrate ten years? Ten years.

Speaker 12 (14:05):
We're actually celebrating with a conference in September. We turned
ten in September and we're doing our Epic conference and
it's going to be incredible. Naomi Rain is coming and
you can register for it now.

Speaker 10 (14:15):
But so excited. We're going to celebrate in a big way.
Ten years. I can't believe it.

Speaker 2 (14:20):
I love it. It's been ten years for us and
we've been doing the same. It's been really really great.
And Cheryl, how was your weekend? So I officiated my
first wedding. My cousin Ronel and his beautiful bride, Kayla
got married on Thursday, so it kicked off there, just
a big family weekend. My husband lost his great aunt,
so we ended up on the Eastern Shore at her funeral,

(14:41):
Aunt Iva. We were there for that, and then I
went to Virginia. You know in the country is where
we call this Spring Grove, Virginia. Both my mom and
dad are from that area, and my cousin threw a
big barbecue and just wanted family to come together. So
it was a big family weekend. And then Sunday we
came back with the church and did a whole event

(15:02):
at my one of my girlfriend's houses. It was huge.
I mean, thank you so much to Tanya and and
her husband. I'm Steve Loney, who are having us So
I'm tired. It was a busy week. I love it
saying well, I had a first. I had a niece
who had her baby on Joe, So we had a
zoom prayer. Yes, we have a family prayer every morning.
And she was on and she was like, y'all love

(15:23):
me so much pain. She got her epidural. We saw that,
and then we just stayed on because she was like,
I think I'm close. She literally gave birth and she
was holding the phone. We were all on zoom to
watch my niece d Shane or she made her junior
come into the world come. It was amazing. We were

(15:43):
praying and crying and my sister Elena was telling the
doctors what they should and should not do. I was like, Elena,
you can't here from a zoom, and she was like,
this is the most exciting birth that we've had all
week long. Your family's to full up. Thank you so much.
It was such a good time, It really was. And

(16:04):
then I was rehearsing for my concert on Monday. Tinas
was rehearsing for her concert on Wednesday in Toronto, and
we were both at the church and so everybody was like, ooh,
Mary Mary. I was like, kind of, but we're also
just doing solo stuff because I sing a little merry
man my concert and she does the same. So it
was weird but fun and funny. And then I looked
up and saw my sister Google and she was there

(16:26):
cleaning up the church. I was like, what are you doing.
She was like, oh hey, She was like, I'm not
serving yet, so I got to do something. So I
came down here to help them clean up the church,
and I just thought that was so so so yeah,
so it was a great again. I didn't get to
go to church. I watched online and Charles Jenkins preached
to Kelly Worship, but I am in New York because
it's a concert tonight at Wingate Park in Brooklyn. Guess what, y'all,

(16:49):
John p Key, Johnny mcclarkin, and he's a kywalker, So
get anywhere near Brooklyn, come see me tonight. Stick around.
We got more on the way. It's Get Up Mornings.

Speaker 1 (17:05):
If you're listening to Get Up Camp Real God Eric
of the Day, Get Up Mornings with Erica Camble.

Speaker 2 (17:15):
Well, listen, guys, y'all know that God always causes us
to do new things. He stretches us, He challenges us,
and sometimes we say yes and sometimes we don't. But
here's what you do. If you give God a yes.
When you give God a yes, you have to prepare yourself.
You have to prepare your mind, you have to prepare
your spirit. You have to watch what you say about

(17:36):
what you're getting prepared for because the enemy wants to
manipulate everything, even your words, so your I can't and
your they won't support and it's going to be so difficult.
All of those things have an effect on how you
will walk out this next season of purpose. So many
of you know, laugh, cry, heal happened last year. My
tickets go on sale today. This is round two. I'm

(17:59):
doing Force States this time. I'm super excited about it,
but the preparation is so important. It's not until October,
but y'all, I've been preparing since May. I've been having conversations.
I've been getting my guests, getting the churches, and trying
to get funding, which that hasn't worked. So I'm just
going for it because it's something God has called me to.
So in the meantime, I am preparing my mind to

(18:21):
do what God has called and challenged me to do.
A lot of times where we miss the mark is
the lack of preparation or not giving it enough time,
not giving it enough intentionality with our prayers, and even
having intercesses. Listen, last year when I did it, I
definitely had an intercessor in every state that I went

(18:42):
to and made sure that I was covered in prayer.
Because it's easy to get frustrated with things, it's easy
to become overwhelmed. It's easy to put the focus in
the wrong place. You know, a lot of times we
get angry and the anger is misguided because something's not
going wrong on the left and so on the right
handling that person wrong and it had nothing to do
with It's all those things that you have to pay

(19:04):
attention to, and it can be a lot. But I
believe the scripture when it says I can do all
things through Christ, who gives me strength. I can go
through the easy things and the hard things. I can
have everything and not have everything and still hold on
to my faith, realizing that I'm walking in purpose, realizing
that God called me to it. He's going to equip
me for it, and I've got to follow his word.
I've got to get in his words so I know it.

(19:26):
You know, the Word says hide the word in your heart,
that you might not sin against God. A lot of
times because the word is not in your heart, it
is really easy for the enemy to throw you off.
It's really the easy for the enemy to get you
in the wrong step with the Lord. And then sometimes
folks be proud of it. Don't mess with me because
you know I'm saved, But don't push me, y'all. Ain't

(19:46):
that ain't cute and it ain't pleasing to God. And
so when God has called you to something, let's make
sure our hearts are right, make sure that we handle
it right, make sure that we prepare and listen. There
is grace and there is mercy. So we make space
for mistakes because we're not perfect, but we have to
at least try to live right and love right and
do right and treat people right. Listen as gracious and

(20:07):
it's kind and as good as God has been to me.
How dare I act crazy and treat people mean, get
self centered to make things all about me? No way,
I'm not doing it because I want to see Jesus.
This ain't even about people. This is about He's gonna
come back, and I want to be ready. And so
as I walk out this next level of purpose in
my life, which is laugh cry heal' still very new,

(20:30):
only my second time ever doing it, so I'm sure
there will be a lot of bumps, but I want
to make sure that I make space for God to
be great in my life, make space for God to
have his way at this situation, so that means my
issues have to come secondary to the purposes of God.
And when you learn to put God first, when you
learn to seek God first, trust him first, call him,

(20:50):
ask him first, you can't help but be blessed. That
is my rikaism for the day.

Speaker 3 (20:55):
Y'all.

Speaker 2 (20:56):
I love you, and I mean it. I'm getting ready
and I'm keeping God first. So y'all pray for me.
I know y'all did last time. It really was a blessing.
I saw so many members of the Get Up Church,
and I hope I see you again. But y'all stick around.
We've got more on the way. I'm gonna talk to
my special guest co hosts Martha. Hello, is it pastor Martha?
I want to get this thing.

Speaker 10 (21:15):

my husband and our pastor. So it's still canna get
used to that. Still gotta get used to that.

She is my special guest call host. But today. Thank
you so much for being with me. I love this song.
I love this song. Who produced the song?

Speaker 12 (22:13):
My amazing Thank you so much, my amazing producer, Dillo.
He is David Outing incredible, just a genius.

Speaker 2 (22:22):
Nice, Nice Leonard. Nice Leonard family have committed to ministry
and Frants tell us how this song came about.

Speaker 12 (22:35):
So I wanted to write a song. You know how
it is your songwriter. You just get an idea, a
theme for a song. And it dropped into my heart
and I felt like the Holy Spirit gave it to
me to write a song. It's been over two years
ago that the theme is God is in control and
I thought, okay, let's write it, and so I shared
it with Dilo, and then Leonard was in the room.

(22:55):
We were all kind of writing a song, but what
do we want to write? And I just threw it
out and within thirty minutes it just was born. And
I didn't I didn't realize. You know, you know how
producers they hear what you don't hear. You know, they're like,
this is a hit, this is incredible. I'm like, I
don't sounds great, but where is this song gonna go?
And it has just taken on this. I love the

(23:16):
sound of the song, but what I didn't realize was
the test that was going to come with the song.
Because this song I had it slady to come out
last year, Like my plan was record Everything's coming out
last year. We recorded last year, and then my mother
in law suddenly passed away last August. She was babysitting
her great grand twins, little baby girls the day she

(23:39):
went home to be with the Lord, and we were
in shock. So production paused, Everything paused, and we just
grieved with our family and laid her to rest and
went through the holidays after that were like, Lord, what
are you doing? And He's saying, I'm proving to you
I'm in control.

Speaker 4 (23:55):
Wow.

Speaker 10 (23:56):
So we went through really a heartbreak.

Speaker 12 (23:59):
But at the same time, this song means so much
more to me now that even though the earth is shaking,
everything seems to be upside down personally, even across our
nation and our world. But God knows the end from
the beginning, and he's sovereign and he's in control. So
it's really become a comfort. The song has been a
comfort to me and to my family, and I just

(24:20):
thank God for He always has so much more deeper
meaning than what we think originally.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
Absolutely, you and your husband Dan do ministry and even
your kids sing with Maverick. How do you balance ministry
and family?

Speaker 12 (24:33):
Oh, you know, we just a lot of prayer, a
lot of conversations, a lot of you know, letting go
different seasons of life that we've had to just kind
of change with the season, and just staying close as
close as we can, making sure we're eating together, having
events together, spending time together as much as we can.

Speaker 10 (24:50):
And my husband and I.

Speaker 12 (24:51):
Have to lead that because my kids won't, but we
make sure we're staying intentional about being together at all times.

Speaker 2 (24:57):
I love that. I love that.

Speaker 7 (24:59):
Will.

Speaker 2 (24:59):
I always tell people, Will you helped me tremendously in
a season my life when I just had kids and
you know, Mary, Mary was growing and you you really
helped me process kids and letting them know how blessed
they are and yes, you know, and being able to
walk through what I do. So thank you for that.
I'm still watching and thanking God for what he's doing
and your daughters and all that he's doing in your ministry.

(25:19):
And we're going to talk to her a little bit more.
Y'all stick around. It gets better. And better. She's in
for Griff today and the song is called He's in
Control and he is, so don't worry. It's Get Up Mornings, y'all.

Speaker 1 (25:34):
If you're listening to Get Up.

Speaker 2 (25:42):
Welcome, it's good Up mornings. And y'all know that we
are in the world of AI right now and we
need to know how to navigate how to make it
work for us in life and business. So we're excited
to add to our money. Monday Segment marketing education expert
Kim Fox done again, Kim, welcome to Get Up Morning.

Speaker 3 (26:00):
Thank you, Thank You's a sposure to be here.

Speaker 2 (26:02):
Okay, so you know a lot of folks are scared
of AI, but it is literally everywhere. Let's talk to
business owners first. Tell us why you say knowing your
audience is so important.

Speaker 3 (26:12):
Well, yes, so knowing your audience is key because if
you don't know who they are, you don't know where
to find them and how to speak to them. It's
actually like the most important thing for anyone in business
to know. Most entrepreneurs are out there marketing to everyone.
And when I say that, you're putting content out randomly

(26:33):
hoping that it hits, when in reality, they're a set
group of people, which we call your niche, who are
going to purchase from you because what you offer is
actually meeting a pain point or a fear that they have.
Until we understand that our services are a solution for
their fear, we're not going to go anywhere, but it's

(26:57):
going to give us a stronger space to market.

Speaker 2 (27:00):
So how does AI help us find that niche?

Speaker 3 (27:03):
As you said, there's so much fear out there related
to AI. This is a new tool that is amazing,
especially for small business owners. You can use AI as
an assistant. Part of understanding who your audience is is
understanding their demographics, their race, their education, their occupation, their income,

(27:24):
going back to their fears and aspirations. Well, you can
have AI help you to discover those things about your clients,
your ideal customers.

Speaker 2 (27:34):
So for those who are totally clueless and don't even
know where to where do I find AI? Who is AI?
What's his address? What was AIS? You know it's a
lot of older people is like, I don't know where
to start.

Speaker 3 (27:45):
AI is a general term for artificial intelligence. Yes, and
actually we've been using AI for a while. Theory like
Siri Apple, she's AI or XI or whatever voice is
Alexa exactly, those are all AI. They're just we're used
to talking to them and giving them verbal commands. Now

(28:07):
with the evolution of chat GPT and Perplexity and Google,
now we can type in. We're doing the same thing
that we do with Siri and with Alexa, we're just
now able to use it in a broader field where
it can go out and do the research in a
more detailed way for us. Basically, AI is created from

(28:30):
information we've already input it into Google, into different things
that we have been using all of these years. So
if you're new, I would suggest chat GPT. It's the
easiest one to use and it's free. So as a
business owner, you can tell chat GPT I need you
to be a business strategist for me. I need you

(28:52):
to be a marketing strategist for me. And that's the
first sentence that you will put into chat GPT.

Speaker 2 (29:00):
And it literally goes into the Internet and pulls all
the information from from that field in that question. Yes, so, uh,
for someone that wants to use your services, tell us
how we find you and stay connected to you, so you.

Speaker 3 (29:14):
Can find me at Purpose Driven Enterprises dot com. Actually, there,
I have free downloadable resources, including a guide for helping
you to get into chat GPT.

Speaker 2 (29:26):
Kim, thank you so much for stopping by today. We
appreciate you for getting us a little more aware of
how to operate AI and how to use it of
our businesses and in our lives. Thank you so much, Kim.

Speaker 3 (29:37):
You're welcome, and thank you again for having me.

Speaker 2 (29:40):
Absolutely all right, guys, stick around. We've got more coming
up next them Get up mornings.

Speaker 6 (29:46):
All the way you're listening to Get up Erica Campbo,
It's time to wake up and win with Dr Willie Jolly.

Speaker 1 (30:06):
Morning with Erica Campbell. Hey, it's another great day.

Speaker 11 (30:14):
This is Doctor Willy Jolly and I recently shared that
we are now in the part of the year where
we can decide to make the rest of the year
the best of the year. I shared that I have
learned that scripture is true, that when you write the
vision and make it plain, it has a tremendous impact
on your running the race and having a greater turn
of success.

Speaker 1 (30:34):
To write the.

Speaker 11 (30:35):
Vision means to set goals and write them and they
will help to keep you focused and moving forward. So
here's a tip that can help you to get clarity.
Ask four questions. Ask number one, what do I want?
Number two? What am I presently doing to get what
I want?

Speaker 2 (30:54):
Number three?

Speaker 11 (30:55):
Then ask what more could I do to get what
I wanted? Number four? What must I stop doing in
order to get what I want? Answer those questions and
you will be clearer on your goals and objectives.

Speaker 2 (31:07):
You can when you think you can.

Speaker 1 (31:09):
This is doctor Willie Jolly.

Speaker 11 (31:11):
Go to win with Willy dot com for resources to
help you win more and remember your best as yet
to come.

Speaker 1 (31:16):
You've heard from us.

Speaker 3 (31:19):
I'm so excited really because I got through and.

Speaker 2 (31:25):
All right, Cheryl, tell us what we're talking about today,
all right? So I realized there are some worship songs
that without fail will take us right into worship right
and these are the songs that hit our heart and
you know instantly and take us to a place of
worship that honors God. So for right now, for me,
it's that Yahweh by Jason Nelson and Melvin Chris BELLA third,

(31:47):
that's one of the ones that if you listen to
the extended version, you can't not have holy spirit and
go into the Holy of Holies with that one, and
then another one that really sticks out to me, is great?
Are you Lord? By all sons and daughters? Is so good?
And that's another one because as long as I've got
breath in my lungs, the breath that the Lord has

(32:09):
given me, I will worship him. And so we have
one of the pioneers of worship on. And I thought
about this, because what song do you go to, you know,
when you have to go into the holies, when you've
written a number of the holy of holy songs. And
same with you, Erica, like songs. I mean, you've written
songs that literally causes us to lay prostate as Erica,

(32:31):
as Griff will say, prostate, yes, but but yeah, I
want to hear from you guys, and then of course
to get up church. So go ahead, Martha, go ahead.

Speaker 10 (32:44):
Well I would thank you for me.

Speaker 12 (32:46):
You know, this is the most unfair question, because I have.

Speaker 2 (32:52):
I can think of twenty.

Speaker 12 (32:53):
But honestly, I have an old one and a new one.
Of course, Agnes stay holy that one.

Speaker 10 (32:59):
Forget it. I'm on the floor. Don't even look for me.
I'm out. But it's a new one that we've been
doing in our church.

Speaker 12 (33:06):
Chandler Moore's new album is fantastic. And it's a song
called the Great I Am, and I think he does
it with Tasha. It is like everything shifted when when
we started singing that song at church a few weeks ago.
Is like the power of God came in our whole
Our whole service just shifted and we went into laying
hands on people, praying for people. There's something so I

(33:29):
love songs that declare the glory of God, the goodness
of God that always gets God gets his attention, and
then he just.

Speaker 10 (33:36):
Shows up in such a horpful way. So those those
are my two favorites right now.

Speaker 2 (33:42):
One of mine is a song by Nathaniel Bassi. He's
from Nigeria. He's a preacher and he plays a trumpet.
But this his song, son of God. We started singing
it when our church opened, and it just declares that
the Son of God shall be lifted high, and it
would bless our church oh so much. And it became
one of my favorites. And every anytime I need to

(34:04):
recenter my focus because you know the things that are
bigger than me, that are out of my control, I
realize that if I lift him up, everything else kind
of disappears and fades away and it becomes that song
for me. Another one that I love, love love is
and I don't know if it's a worship song, but
it's wonderful as your name. It just I don't know,

(34:26):
it just lists me. I just take my eyes of
everything else. Haze Kai wonderful is your name. Yeah, it's
one of those songs for me. I have so many,
ma I have a worship list, and then we have
something called worship at the water. Then I have that list,
then we have our noonday prayer and we have that
worship list. So I got a bunch of them. But
we want to hear from the get up church this morning.
What is your worship song that just takes you straight

(34:49):
to the feet of Jesus, that just opens your heart
to receive all of God's love, grace and favor. Eight
seven seven two four two two four two six. What
is the worship song that takes you right to the
feet of gen Esus eight seven seven two four two
two four two six. We want to hear from y'all.
It's so many it's a new I speak Jesus my charity. Yeah, yeah,

(35:09):
oh my God, that think bless me so good. But
we want to hear from y'all.

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Give us a call.

Speaker 2 (35:14):
What's your favorite worship song?

Speaker 6 (35:15):

Get Up Eric Camp, you've heard from us.

Speaker 7 (35:26):
I'm excited really because I get up.

Speaker 2 (35:32):

in God. That's Oh, that's that's the one that get it.
You know, it really does great things within the church
once we start singing that song. So trusting God is
up at.

Speaker 10 (40:02):
You know what I'm doing.

Speaker 12 (40:03):
I bringing in some industry experts, people that know radio
and YouTube and all these things that we're just trying,
you know, creatives and dreamers or like, what do we.

Speaker 10 (40:12):
How do we go to the next level.

Speaker 12 (40:13):
How do we take ministry that God's put in our
hearts and take it to the masses, but keep the annoying.
That's the main thing, and that's what I want to
talk about. I think that's where a lot of people
are struggling. So we're going to be actually releasing our
brand new CD.

Speaker 10 (40:27):
There CD.

Speaker 12 (40:28):
Listen to me our brand new music that a church's
revival that that will have or have a release concert

QR code there. But it's Epic Conference September twenty sixth
and twenty seventh, and I can't wait.

Speaker 2 (40:46):
It's going to be amazing, very nice. Let's get back
to this good gospel music. Here's Marvin Sappa. He was
there on Get Up Morning.

Speaker 6 (40:53):
Let's talk about love for God, So love the world, y'all,
Love Talk Morning.

Speaker 2 (40:59):
Yes, it is for the love talk of the day.
And y'all, I had the sweetest conversation with someone who's
in a relationship and she was upset about something else
and someone else, and when she was talking to her boyfriend,
he ended up carrying the full weight of everybody that
she was angry at. And so we kind of talked

(41:20):
through it a little bit, and I talked to her
about apologizing and you know, talk to her about managing
your emotions. But I wanted to acknowledge and just kind
of talk about the fact that sometimes we make the
people that we love hold most of our anger and
they have to endure most of our anger.

Speaker 10 (41:36):
And is that fair.

Speaker 2 (41:37):
I know love is built forward, and I know you
know that they can be a safe space and all
of that, but sometimes, y'all, we are beating up people
at home because somebody at work make you mad. Sometimes
you are mean with your spouse because somebody at church
made you mad, or something that you wanted to happen,
and you're upset about it, and you miss guide the
anger in the wrong direction. Listen, it's okay to be angry,

(42:00):
says be angry, but sin not and do not let
the sun go down on your anger. So let's let's
let's stop mismanaging this anger. And when you are angry,
if you get online, now you mad at everybody online
and all the comments have to fill your anger. Let's
let's let's take that to the Lord in prayer. I
know easier said than done. I've been mad to y'all,

(42:21):
and I've had to repent too. But what I want
to make sure that I don't do is make my
house take the brunt of what I'm dealing with. They
still deserve my love, especially if they didn't do nothing,
especially if it wasn't anything about them and their grace
and their love sometimes carries me through. And so then
I have to make the decision. Do I still want
to be snappy and angry? Do I still want to
be mean? Do I still want to be fussy? I don't.

(42:42):
I don't enjoy it, and I don't think you do either.
I don't think we were created to carry that level
of anger and intensity. So let's learn to deal with
what we're dealing with, processing with who you need to
process it with, and not make everybody in your circle
carry it. I hate when people say, oh, God, Mama's
coming home, you know she gonna be mad. I wouldn't.
I wouldn't want everybody to have to run and hide

(43:04):
when I'm coming home because I'm a tornado or a
hurricane you know, and fathers. That's for y'all too, the
husbands and why this is for all of us and
our love Relationships's let's not take the anger home and
then the people have to process how to tiptoe around
you and what to say and what not to say
because you So let's learn to take that to the Lord.
Sit in your car a little bit before you go

(43:25):
in your house, pray, put on your favorite worship song,
don't don't listen and nothing that's going to attribute to
more anger. Listen to and read and all those things,
the things that help you kind of lift that load.
You know. I often remind myself that I have to
forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and
as you realize. I want to be forgiven when I'm wrong.

(43:47):
I want to be understood when I have an issue.
So I don't want to put that on the people
that I love and make them carry unnecessary burdens because
you're so angry and upset and are not operating in
self control, self control temperance. That's what we're supposed to
have as believers.

Speaker 8 (44:04):
All right.

Speaker 2 (44:04):
I love y'all so much, I really do, and I'm
really just trying to get give us tips so we
have healthier homes. You know, I don't want to be
great at work and not at home. I don't want
to be great at church and not at home. So
let's make sure to handle people with the grace and
love of God that he extends to you. Let's extend
that to our families. All right. That's the love talk
of the day. No more misguided anger. How about that?

(44:25):
Stick around. We've got trending topics up next them. Get
up morning.

Speaker 6 (44:37):
If you're listening to get up, Eric Camp, get up.
Find out what everybody's talking about right now?

Speaker 2 (44:45):
Take it over the web.

Speaker 10 (44:46):
What is it?

Speaker 1 (44:47):
It's trending topics up to the minute.

Speaker 2 (44:50):
The twenty twenty five Time Joiner Fantastic Voyage set sail
this fall. Celebrate twenty five years of Mary. Mary. But
your cap now at FV twenty twenty dot com or
call two one four four sixty three. All right, Cheryl,
tell us what's trending? All right? So this has been
going viral over the entire weekend. Andy Byron, the chief

(45:11):
executive of New York based tech company Astronomer, has resigned
from his role after he was spotted embracing an employee
at a Coldplay concert, Astronomer's board of directors accepted Byron's
resignation and we'll begin searching for its next CEO. Following
the viral video of byron alleged alleged statement from Byron's

(45:34):
acknowledging the situation began to circulate online, Astronomer said in
an earlier LinkedIn post that Byron has not put out
any statement, and he didn't. He kind of went on
socials and was like lighthearted about it. But I think
the more it began to surface and now you got
memes of everybody just embracing like that, it's just so crazy.

(45:55):
But what it really is and talks about. I mean,
what it really shows is collateral damage. Right, so just
because of your actions. Now you know your wife is involved.
You know your wife, her husband, you're yeah, children, whoever,
and then your job are all at stake for what,
right anyway, allegedly, but he is he has resigned from

(46:16):
the well, he's he's no, he said he did it.
He said, I apologize for my actions. Yeah, alleged. It
was a whole full affair. You know, they sent out
statements to us to to make sure we said allegedly. Yeah,
so okay, well the man, we say, the man said
he did it, and he wouldn't have quit his job

(46:37):
if he didn't do it, if it didn't do it,
all right. Also sad news for CBS late night show
show hosts Stephen Colbert. He's it's ending. His show is ending.
He's in his last season. The last show will end
and May. I'm not sure what CBS is doing what
they line up, but they are really canceling some really
really good shows. I don't I'm not up late at

(46:58):
night to get to see the late night stuff, but
I mean, I know it's iconic, right with all the
late night shows where you know, with Jimmy Fallon with
Jimmy Kimmel and then him Stephen Colbert's I don't know
what this is going to do for the late night landscape,
but he just announced that his last season is now
and he will be ending his show in May. All right. Finally,

(47:20):
I'm excited about you being in New York tonight. Erica

Speaker 3 (48:30):
Now.

Speaker 5 (48:31):
First up, Manny Pakiau might have walked away with the
WBC title this weekend, but the real story, well, boxing
took more than it gave at forty five, the legend
proof he still has heart but critics say this wasn't
a comeback, it was a farewell. The ring might have
just stolen his last real shot at an elite glory.

(48:51):
Respect the champ, but the gloves might need to come
off for good. Over to the w NBA All Start
weekend and Indy wasn't just about flashy layups and threes.
It was a full on statement. Players use the spotlight
to press the league and owners of the next CBA.

Speaker 2 (49:08):
They're not just hoping.

Speaker 5 (49:09):
They are fighting for charter flights, better pay, and long
term respect and trust. With this new generation of stars,
they are not backing down. And finally, politics meet sports.
President Trump made headlines again calling for the Washington Commanders.
Savareenactor Redsky is now how you feeling that day?

Speaker 1 (49:31):

I loved Martha Munizzy being on here. As I stated
in the Get Up Hole, you know, a pioneer of
worship music in our in our gospel categories. Right, Like
we could go all the way back to some songs
John p Key is done and Martha. At one point,
everybody was singing a Martha Munizzi song like remakes Karen
Clark sheer, how is Karen Clark sheared remaking Martha Munizzy's

(51:43):
I mean like.

Speaker 12 (51:44):
I got in trouble for that because everybody thought it
was her song that I was redoing.

Speaker 10 (51:47):
And I'm oh really yeah, yeah, oh yes, I got there.

Speaker 12 (51:50):
I got emails, letters, I know, but people didn't understand,
like stop singing.

Speaker 10 (51:54):
Karen Clark shared song.

Speaker 12 (51:55):
She had to actually she actually had to stand up
for me one time and say, y'all way.

Speaker 2 (51:59):
Off, Wow that is crazy.

Speaker 12 (52:03):
Yeah, that was wild such an it just still feels
just surreal, you know, and the older I get, the
more of a blessing and an honor it becomes. It's
it's incredible what God's done.
