a comprehensive internal review of eight Smithsonian museums to align
(03:07):
with its cultural directives ahead of the US two hundred
and fiftieth anniversary. The letter, addressed to Smithsonian Secretary doctor
Lannie Bunch and signed by White House officials, calls for
celebrating American exceptionalism, removing divisive narratives, and restoring trust in
cultural institutions. Texas Democrats, who fled that state to block
(03:28):
a Republican redistricting plan, are debating their return strategy as
the first special legislative session ends at another set to begin.
They've held multiple meetings, including late night and small group discussions,
but have not reached a unified agreement. Sources close to
the talk say building consensus among the lawmakers has been
challenging after ten days away from Texas, The Highway Loss

including models from Chevrolet, Acura, and us GMC, are among

Magic Johnson, Magic Cookie Husband. The faith Walker is coming
(06:29):
up next is Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell.
Speaker 2 (06:40):
If you're listening to Get Up with Erica campbe faith
walking right now, hey man, new faith walk.
Speaker 6 (06:51):
Yes, it is time for the faith Walk of the day.
And first John one and nine says, if we confess
our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive
us ours and purify us from all unrighteousness. A confession, confession, confession.
It is time to confess to the Lord. It is
not time to tell him why you did it. It
(07:14):
is not time to make excuses.
Speaker 11 (07:17):
For what you did.
Speaker 6 (07:18):
It is not time to tell him, well everybody else
does this, and everybody else does that.
Speaker 7 (07:23):
It is time to open up that heart of yours.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
And confess and be healed, and be forgiven, and be
made righteous and be purified. That's what the word says.
It doesn't say if you confess, you're gonna get beat up.
It doesn't say if you confess, you're gonna get thrown away.
It doesn't say that if you confess, he won't forgive you.
Y'all know John three sixteen. For God so loved the
world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever
believed him should not perish but have everlasting lafe right
(07:49):
with that next scripture, though, he didn't send his son
into the world to condemn the world, but that the
world through him might be saved. His goal is to
reconcile you to him, is to bring you back to him,
to bring you back in right fellowship, right relationship with him.
Speaker 7 (08:04):
That's what confession is for.
Speaker 6 (08:05):
To get it out of your bones, out of your heart,
out of your system, out of your mind because listen,
a lot of times you confess and the problem is
you can't forgive you. He forgives you, but you can't
forgive you. Now here's the other part. Don't expect people
to be God. Everybody won't forgive. But that is the
consequence of your choice, and that is something that you
will have to live with. But we serve a forgiving God.
(08:26):
And here's one thing. My mama told me that I
love y'all. You literally can live anything down. What does
that mean to live it down?
Speaker 8 (08:33):
That?
Speaker 7 (08:34):
Just keep living and keep doing the right thing.
Speaker 6 (08:37):
If you've done the wrong thing for a long time
and people keep reminding you of the wrong thing, keep
doing the right thing.
Speaker 7 (08:41):
Guess what that will become. The louder message.
Speaker 6 (08:44):
Part of what you're hearing and part of what frustrates
you and part of what is embarrassing, even to the
point of you getting angry, is you got to live
down the consequence of your choice that comes with the territory.
Speaker 7 (08:54):
But keep living right, keep doing the right thing.
Speaker 6 (08:56):
Our scripture of the Word of God, our manual are
our truth book tells us that he's faithful and he's
just and He'll forgive our sins, but not if you
don't confess it, not if you make excuses. Listen, even
in court, if you confess, you may get a little
light of sentence if you confess, But if you lie
and act like you didn't do, and they find out
on their own without you open up your mom and hey,
(09:18):
you know I did rob that prayer. If without you
being honest, the consequence is greater. Listen, the repercussions are greater. Confess,
be honest, be open, right, because that's what the scripture
tells us to do. I love you and I mean it.
That is the faith walk for the day. That's first John.
Speaker 7 (09:35):
One to nine. Live with it, pray on it.
Speaker 12 (09:36):
Right.
Speaker 6 (09:37):
He'll give you wisdom when to say, when to do,
and how to do it. But as far as you
and God, you could confess whatever you want to God.
He's not embarrassed, he's not in a he's not in
a deficit because of what you. He already knew he
was gonna do it in the first place. He just
needs you to be honest, be honest. All right, that's
the faith walk of the day. All right, Guys' birthday

Man? Me?

Why you're talking to me, you Jewish? I'm Samaritan. You

Speaker 8 (17:28):
If you knew who you were talking to, you'd be
asking me for living water.
Speaker 11 (17:35):
You ain't got no bucket, you ain't got no cup.
This well is deep.
Speaker 7 (17:39):
How you're gonna get the water?
Speaker 8 (17:41):
Everybody who drinks your water will be thirsty, but it's
living water. You'll never be thirsty again. By the way,
where is your husband?
Speaker 16 (17:51):
Uh?
Speaker 7 (17:54):
I don't have no husband?
Speaker 8 (17:56):
Yeah? You you right when you say you don't have
a husband, because actually you have had five husbands and
the man you're with right now ain't your husband.
Speaker 6 (18:05):
Well, clearly you are a prophet. But if you're a prophet,
can you tell me this? Stop y'all jus say we
have to worship in Jerusalem. Oh we worship on a mountain?
What's up with that?
Speaker 8 (18:18):
Believe me, a time is coming when we'll all worship
the Father. We all gonna have to worship him in
the spirit and truth, because God is a spirit.
Speaker 11 (18:28):
Wait a minute, are you?
Speaker 4 (18:30):

Speaker 11 (18:31):

Speaker 9 (18:33):
It's just what excuse me, sir?
Speaker 11 (18:36):
Are you who I think?
Speaker 1 (18:38):

Speaker 16 (18:39):

Get Up Morning.
Speaker 2 (19:42):
You're listening to Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbe Real Talk,
Real of the day or.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbo.
Speaker 7 (19:51):
Yes, it is time for the Ericaism of the Day.
Speaker 6 (19:54):
And h I think I've told you before that for
our Bible study at Cali Worship on Wednesday nights.
Speaker 7 (19:58):
That's on Instagram. You can actually check it out.
Speaker 6 (20:01):
We've been in a series of finance, finance and faith,
and she started talking about our debt. You know, the
scripture can forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors.
She said, how about you treat the people that owe
you money like you treat the people that you owe
money too. Let's make sure that the grace that you
(20:23):
want your creditors to give you is the same grace
that you give to the people that owe you that
twenty five hundred dollars.
Speaker 7 (20:30):
You know, that one hundred dollars that.
Speaker 6 (20:31):
You still mad about that they said they was gonna
give it back to you and they didn't. Yeah, the
same way like you keep dodging calls and ignoring the emails,
and you know that you owe somebody.
Speaker 7 (20:40):
Let's have integrity.
Speaker 6 (20:42):
Let's make sure we pick up the phone and say, hey,
I know I said I was gonna pay it on
this day, but I'm sure I'm gonna give you this
so much, this amount, because this is what I have
your creditors want to hear from you. It's not a
case of and you know how you feel. Just just
avoid me and get around any phone call it I
make to you because you embarrassed, pick up the phone,
(21:02):
and then the same grace that you want is the
same grace that you extend.
Speaker 1 (21:06):
Right.
Speaker 6 (21:07):
It's annoying and it is not comfortable to know somebody
owe you a good twenty five thirty five dollars and
you look up online and they showing you their new nails.
Speaker 7 (21:15):
So they're showing you their vacation today, showing you.
Speaker 6 (21:18):
Listen, I know somebody that oh whole child support but
had a whole party online.
Speaker 7 (21:23):
And the person was looking like, you're not gonna feed
your kids.
Speaker 6 (21:26):
You're gonna have a big, fabulous party.
Speaker 9 (21:28):
And then post it.
Speaker 6 (21:30):
Come on, y'all, let's have integrity with our finances. Let's
have integrity with people that we owe money to. You're
actually lying if you say I'm gonna give it to
you and I don't. Yeah, you know, thou shall not lie.
That applies to your career. You're actually lying if you say, hey,
I got you on this date, I'm gonna send it
and then you don't, or you ignore a call, you
actually lied. At the moment you know that you were
(21:51):
supposed to pay them back and you don't. You chose
not to, whether you didn't have it or you just
ignored them. It's the same thing. Have integrity, have good
character that makes you pick up the phone or go
to their house and knock on the door and be like, hey,
I'm sorry. I know I borrowed that money from my rent.
I actually still don't have my rent, but I still
owe you money. So I'm gonna act like I got
some good sense and apologize and say I'm still struggling,
(22:13):
but give me a moment. I'm working on it, and

Well that delayed.
Speaker 20 (33:47):
It was just a whole bunch of stuff brewing in
all of us taking a long break. But we have
to be honest. The pandemic did play a part in
that too, with things.
Speaker 16 (33:57):
Shutting down, so that hell back a lot.
Speaker 20 (33:59):
We recorded an album in twenty twenty one, had the
shelve that and start working on new stuff because you know,
the mind and the creative juices keeps flowing. But I
think it was for the best because this album is
simply one of one of the one of the albums
that we're very, very proud of.

who are artist knows that it can get kind of
crazy behind the stage and all that kind of stuff
and making sure everything is right and in place and
timing is all of that. But listen, once the curtains open,
it's like, y'all, y'all remember when when Tina Turner said
to uh, to I turn or not?

She said to her best friend, she was like, you know, hey,

Another great day.

This is doctor Willie Jolly, author of the book.
Speaker 12 (37:28):
Are set back As are set up for a comeback
in the day, and this time of crisis, I want
to give you tips to come back and come back big.
I know some setting backs are so painful and so
hurtful and so unfair that you want to run and hide.
But the secret is to respond with your faith and
your best ability. A case in point is missus Dorris
de Bo, who is diagnosed with breast cancer and given
(37:49):
six months to live, but she lived for thirty three
more years.
Speaker 1 (37:53):
She beat cancer four times.
Speaker 12 (37:55):
She says she could not control the fact that cancer
continued to appear in her body, but she decided to
win in spite of the cancer. Her favorite saying was
I might have cancer, but cancer does not have me.
Doctors can give you the diagnosis, yes, but God gives
you the prognosis, and God says I win. He says
(38:15):
you too can win. Hey, go today and make it happen.
This is doctor Willie Jolly. Go to win with Willy
dot com. Win with Willie dot com for resources to
help you win more. Remember to make the most of
every minute because your best is yet to come.
Speaker 1 (38:27):
You've heard from us.

Speaker 7 (47:36):
What's up with that?
Speaker 8 (47:37):
Believe me, a time is coming when we'll all worship
the Father. We all gonna have to worship him in
the spirit and truth, because God is a spirit.
Speaker 1 (47:47):
Wait a minute, are you?
Speaker 4 (47:49):
I mean?
Speaker 11 (47:50):
I know they said to my son was coming. It's
just what excuse me, sir? Are you who I think?
Speaker 4 (47:57):
You guess what?
Speaker 1 (47:58):
Doubt it's me that?
Speaker 16 (48:01):
Oh my God?
Speaker 19 (48:02):
Everybody come say this man, God, say this man. That's
telling me all my business. Oh my god, this is
not gonna sign ya. Go see this man they're gonna sign.
Speaker 1 (48:14):
I'm gonna say, hey, hey, what's up with that water out?
Speaker 8 (48:19):
I need to talk to these sighth from Bartholomew or
somebody by at least getting us a canteen?
Speaker 1 (48:24):
Can we at least get a thermos?
Speaker 6 (48:28):
I love that story. I mean, of course we colored
it up and made it funny, but that story is
always cool. People that they don't think should have the
right to talk to Jesus is literally talking Jesus.
Speaker 1 (48:36):
That's what I think. It's cool.
Speaker 6 (48:37):
When you really get into the New Testament. Jesus is
always sitting with people where the religious people is like,
