during which he's expected to announce he will essentially stop
violent crime in Washington, d C. By deploying additional federal
law enforcement officers to the nation's capital for at least
a week, with the option to extend the operation. The
White House says the move is aimed at making DC
(03:10):
safe again, despite data showing violent crime in the city
has declined significantly, and Press Secretary of Caroline Levitt said
there will be no safe harbor for violent criminals. A
new COVID nineteen variant, known as XFG or stratus, has
become the third most common strain in the US this summer.
First detected in Southeast Asia and January, it now accounts
(03:32):
for about fourteen percent of US cases, according to the CDC.
The WHO says the global public health risk is low
and current vaccinations are expected to remain effective against it.
There's no evidence this variant causes any distinct symptoms from
other variants. However, coarseness has been anecdotally associated with the strain.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
The US has.

Speaker 2 (06:34):
If you're listening to Get Up Erica Campbell faith Walking
right now, Hey man, new faith Walk.
Speaker 1 (06:45):
Yes, it's time for the faith Walk of the day.
Speaker 4 (06:47):
And while John three point sixteen is a very popular scripture,
John seventeen is just as powerful three seventeen. For God
did not send his son into the world to condemn
the world, but that the world threw him might be saved.
So anytime you are feeling condemnation that ain't God, conviction
comes from the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
Conviction makes you want to change.
Speaker 4 (07:09):
Conviction says I don't want to let God down, or
I may be headed in the wrong direction. Because conviction
lets you know that you did something wrong. Condemnation tells
you you are something wrong. So I want us to
make sure that we recognize that God is always trying
to draw us, not to make us feel bad about ourselves,
but to make us walk into his loving arms that
(07:30):
he has available to us. You think he sent his
son to just bash you and make you feel bad. No,
that's religiosity. Religiosity says you ain't good enough, and it's
these five rules, and you didn't follow these rules.
Speaker 1 (07:41):
His condemnation says, I want you to come this way.
That's not the best choice for you.
Speaker 4 (07:45):
As you return to God and you repent to God,
Repent is not just a word that makes you shake
and shiver. It means I can come back to the Father.
I can get in right relationship with the Father. I
can lay down what I thought I was and pick
up who he said I was because his love comes
to convict me to change, not to condemn me. It
said he did not send his son into the world
(08:06):
to condemn the world, but that the world through him
might be saved. All right, walk into that conviction, reject
that condemnation. You don't serve a god like that.
Speaker 1 (08:16):
He wants you to change and be better, because he
is better, because he's drawing you to be closer to him,
because he wants to get glory out of your life,
because there's purpose for your life.
Speaker 4 (08:24):
And I want you to walk in purpose, on purpose.
I don't want you to be afraid. I don't want
you to walk in worry and anxiety. And will I
be good enough? Of course, you were made by the
King of Kings and the Lord of Lord. So of course,
as long as you line up with what he says you,
all good, baby, don't stress over it, don't worry about it.
Speaker 1 (08:39):
That is my faith. Walk for the day.
Speaker 4 (08:40):

run by Wendy Rokel Robinson and it was great.
Speaker 4 (15:22):
They danced and sang and did all these numbers and
it was really really cool. Of course, the family was
in the building.
Speaker 1 (15:28):
You know, a griff.
Speaker 4 (15:28):
My family comes to concerts and has been coming to
concerts since I started in music. Every concert somebody gonna
come and say, hey, I'm here.
Speaker 7 (15:36):
What do I do?
Speaker 6 (15:37):
Oh my gosh.
Speaker 1 (15:38):
It sends me to the moon, because what you're gonna
do is you're gonna park, You're gonna go to the window,
you're gonna get your tickets, You're gonna come in. Griff.
They call me every single time. I love them so much.
I'm like, get off my phone.

Speaker 4 (15:56):
But you know, I was called, where's the real was
at the front of the building. That's where you get
your tickets. It's where it is that every building in
the front of the building. Oh god, oh god. They'd
be driving me, Oh god, and.
Speaker 1 (16:14):
They want to come to every concert. I'd be like, no,
this is work. Don't want to go to your job.
This is work. I love them so much and watch
them type, just sit there and to ask questions about
their job. Okay.
Speaker 4 (16:28):
So then after that, then I had to go to
host Jeryl Wall's listening album release called Heart of Mine,
amazing record. He sang and we did some conversation and
it was really cool. This nice place on Sunset where
they do these big Grammy events. I was proud of
him before doing an album release.
Speaker 7 (16:44):
You know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (16:45):
At a venue like that, it was really really cool.
Then Leah was lead is leaving this week. She's going
away to college. She had to take a year off
and most people when they stopped, they never go back.
She took a year off and she's going back, but
she's moving away. And we all got together spoke over
her life, prayed and laughed and cried and all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (17:05):
No, she's going to Nashville. Wow, I know that's so far.
Jesus Christ is.
Speaker 4 (17:10):
Happy because she's like, yeah, she's close to me Atlanta. Yeah,
so she's happy about that. Of course, we had the
two services. I had to cook mac and cheese. Listen,
I'm humbling the Lord, but I'm not humbled about my
mac and cheese.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
And so everybody knew that I'm not humble all on
mac and cheese.
Speaker 4 (17:24):
I'm humbled with the Lord, but that mac and cheese,
I'm not humble about it.
Speaker 1 (17:30):
Oh yeah, oh yeah. When they said I didn't even
ask me if they liked it. I said, oh, you're welcome.
I know you like it. They was cracking up. How
was how was your week? Because mine was.
Speaker 5 (17:41):
Praying I was.
Speaker 6 (17:43):
I actually was in Nashville last week. I did this
event called the Comics Ball, and it was for the
Mosley's comedian Ron Ron and his wife Charasma, their daughter.
Their eleven year old daughter died in a car accident
three years ago, and this is how they raised money
and how they remember her through comedy, you know.
Speaker 1 (18:04):
And I thought that was really really cool.
Speaker 6 (18:05):
And then I got to see my sister who actually
lives in Murphysboro, which is outside of Nashville, and I
saw Brianna.
Speaker 1 (18:13):
I got to see one of the doubts. She's living
there now.
Speaker 6 (18:17):
Going to see all of them again this week in
Nashville for the Seller Awards. But I spent the most
money ever at Bathom Body Works because the three way candles.
Speaker 1 (18:26):
Was buy one, get one for you. It's over now.
I went twice. You sent us that text I said,
griff is losing his mind.
Speaker 6 (18:33):
I went twice, and I consumed a lot of football
and hung out with my wife.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
So it was awesome. I love that.
Speaker 14 (18:41):
I love that.
Speaker 4 (18:41):
Listen, I'll talk a little bit more about Leah, but
just to look around the room, her family, her friends,
her grandmother, uncles, everybody just there just speaking into her life.
Speaker 1 (18:50):
It was such such a beautiful Dave. But I'll tell
you a little bit more about that.
Speaker 7 (18:54):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (18:55):
Of course, you know we got more great gospel music.
I want you to be encouraged in the morning. We
want to get you ready to have the best stay ever.
And what you say to yourself about yourself is everything.
So I'm speaking victory and life over you, and I
want you to do the same is Get Up Mornings.
Speaker 1 (19:07):
Yeah, he erica Ism is up next.
Speaker 5 (19:15):
If you're listening to Get Up Campbell Real the Erica
of the day on Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell, listen, First.
Speaker 1 (19:25):
Let me tell you about heat, stress and activity sweat.
Speaker 4 (19:27):
They can be a real hassle, but Secret Clinical antipersprint
stick provides three times the sweat protection to take on
that challenge.
Speaker 1 (19:35):
Secret Clinical has your back.
Speaker 4 (19:38):
All right, guys, time for the erica Ism of today
and today for my erica Ism, I want to talk
about my sweet niece Leah.
Speaker 1 (19:44):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (19:44):
She has always been my super cool niece. She's always
been aware of her environment. She's always had common sense.
You know how some kids you can trick them and
you know, tell them certain things and then she'll go, no,
that that's not true, that's not right. She was always
paying attention and that's why she's always the niece that
if she's there, everybody's happy about it. It's a few
of the cousins in my family that if they're there,
(20:06):
the aunties and the mamas and the uncles are always like,
we know, we cool because we know they gonna make
good decisions.
Speaker 1 (20:10):
Well, that's my niece.
Speaker 4 (20:12):
Leah and she is going away to college and we're
super excited about it. But I thought was so beautiful yesterday.
We got together as a family and we just loved
her and prayed over her, and you know, remembered the
things that she did. Her friends were there, church, family,
some aunts and uncles, my mom, you know, so she
has her grandmother and everybody just praying over her and
speaking life over her. But the really cool thing was
(20:34):
the younger cousins who talked about what a good big
cousin she is. Now she's turning twenty two this year.
Many of you may have watched her on the Mary Marychelle.
She's Tina's their second baby and just a real blessing,
a real like a man, I'm an miss Leah. When
(20:55):
the older ones say, hey, Mom, we going out, I'll
be like, is Leah going? If Leah's going, I'd be like, okay,
all right, Not that the others won't make good decisions,
but she just watches in a different way. And I
am so proud of her. She took a year off
of school, family and life and money and all that
stuff happens. And you know, what we try to do
with my family is once they get to college, just
(21:15):
make them responsible, so you know, they have to figure
out their money and they have to figure out things,
which ain't easy when you're twenty something years old. But
she has handled it with such care, she's handled it
with integrity. Not that she's been perfect, who is what
is perfect? But she's always honest, and I just think
that's so beautiful. So I am wishing my niece well
and she goes off to college with what I think
(21:36):
is really great. In addition to that is how the
younger cousins are seeing what affirmation looks like, what it
looks like to have your village. One of the deacons
from our church came, Deacon Taven Jones, who we love
so much, and he told her he said, every school
has a resource center, right and she said yes. He said,
the resource center is where your resources are, where you
(21:57):
can go and get what you need or find out
what you need or find out where you can get it.
He said, this room is also your resource center. So
when you are low on joy, and when you are
low on love, and when you are low on encouragement,
tap into this resource center. He was like, everybody in
here is a source of joy and inspiration and motivation
and sometimes correction too. So don't forget to tap into
(22:18):
your resource center. And that's my message for you today.
There is a resource center for you.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
And maybe you've told yourself, I don't have nobody and
anybody here from yes city.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
Is this somebody booting for you, cheering for you and
wanting to you to win. Don't you let the devil
whisper in your ear and tell you nobody cares and
it's not their business. And here's the one that everybody
love using. I don't want to be a bother?
Speaker 1 (22:38):
What does that mean? When you love people and you
do life together. Make a phone call if you need
to make a phone call. If you're not feeling well,
if you're not feeling well in your mind, say something.
Speaker 4 (22:47):
Speak up. There are people who care about you. Even
if you don't say nothing.
Speaker 1 (22:52):
But hey, pray for me.
Speaker 4 (22:53):
It's a tough time. It's a tough season. I need
a little extra prayer power, y'all.
Speaker 1 (22:57):
I do it all the time.
Speaker 4 (22:58):
When I feel overwhelmed, I will go through my phone.
I'll just put in prayer warriors. About six seven people
come up, I'll send them all the text. Rough day,
say a prayer. Struggling, say a prayer, tap into your resources.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Listen. We even got a hotline if you need to
call and say, hey, y'all just pray for me. We
can do that too.
Speaker 4 (23:16):
You got resources, You have people who love you, so
make sure you tap into the resources. And just in
case you don't have the new hotline number, it is
nine seven two three three one five five seven zero.
This is not the number where you call and say, Ericar,
I want to write a song for you. That's not
that number. Nine seven two three three five five seven zero.
Tap in, y'all, use your resources. We got your backs.
Speaker 1 (23:39):
Get up one.
Speaker 2 (23:43):
If you're listening to get Up Erica Camp, not the church,
say amen.
Speaker 5 (23:50):

Speaker 1 (24:26):
For the first giving honor to God who's ahead of
my life.
Speaker 19 (24:31):
I like to say, I'm glad to be in the
house of the Lord one more time, casser Erga, because
he brought me from a mighty, mighty long way, Julian,
I could.
Speaker 1 (24:45):
Have been dead, sleeping in the grave. But God is
good all the time and all the time. God is good. Yes, yes, yes,
you know. I got concerns on this money. I got concerns.
Speaker 6 (25:02):
So we talked about what we did over the weekend
and how it was just busy running Path and body works.
Three week candles was on sale, and the lady at
the cashier put me on blast still the second time
she said, wasn't you didn't you just buy sixteen candles
the other day I said, dam get out my podcast,
(25:25):
give me my rewards for under eighteen dollars to stuff
played with me.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
But then I just found out today.
Speaker 6 (25:33):
So normally, when you get Madden and you buy it early,
like it comes out for everybody else. I'm talking about
the video game, it comes out on Thursday. For everybody else,
that's when you can buy the game stops another place
that's downloaded. But for people like me, who buy it early,
it comes out three days ahead. So I'm like, oh,
when I get off work, I'm gonna pull it. But
(25:54):
then I pulled up online and this is what it
said this morning. There was no three day early access
for Madden twenty six this year. It was a seven
day early access for the MVB or Deluxe editions.
Speaker 1 (26:08):
That mean I coulda blamed last Thursday. I ain't. I
could have blamed my week ladies.
Speaker 6 (26:19):
Now, somebody they cards ain't Griff, calm down, No, you
who gone down?
Speaker 1 (26:23):
I could have been practicing. I'm four days behind right now.
Speaker 6 (26:27):
This men right now, say wait a minute, Griff, we
coulda did it last Thursday, not today.
Speaker 1 (26:34):
Maddness out right now. If you pay for it early.
Speaker 6 (26:37):
Now, somebody in the car's going so and you keep driving,
you don't get saying you all right. Somebody else is saying,
oh God, my husband ain't gonna.
Speaker 1 (26:47):
Be he gonna be checked out. But you right, you
can say, ain't you all right?
Speaker 6 (26:50):
But if you like me, and you know I'm doing
ninety to get home from work and I'm jumping on
those sticks and I'm playing, I'm gonna say.
Speaker 1 (27:07):
Playing with me. Last Thursday came out. That's the first
where if you are you gonna be okay, that's the question.
I will be, you will. So just to get up church,
Let's pray for sister Lenika today.
Speaker 4 (27:21):
Let's see because he's about to be checked out and
checked into his game.
Speaker 1 (27:27):
Let me take you something with the head and I
know right way. Do you see your setups? My setup?
Oh God setup, we praying, we praying, Lenika. I gotta
(27:50):
stick around. We got more on the way. It's get
up mornings. You know what it is.
Speaker 4 (27:54):
We still got more great gospel music to get up.
Whole question of the day. Listen, we're trying to get
you ready, ready to have the best day ever. You
gotta set your day in.
Speaker 5 (28:02):
The right direction.
Speaker 4 (28:04):
Clearly, Griffs is set in the direction of Mad God.
Bless you, Griffin. Happy playing to you for the rest
of this week.
Speaker 1 (28:13):
Stick around.
Speaker 8 (28:13):
We got more on the ways.
Speaker 1 (28:14):
Get up morning.
Speaker 5 (28:20):
If you're listening to.
Speaker 4 (28:24):
Carnegie people is get up Morning's America Cannibal loving Jesus
in loving you.
Speaker 1 (28:30):
Listen, y'all is stellar week.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
So you know we'll be down there in Nashville hanging
out with all the gospel folks.
Speaker 1 (28:36):
So listen.
Speaker 4 (28:37):
If you're not going. You should go to the Stellars.
You're gonna hang out with the stell Awards and celebrate
gospel music this week. All right, guys, coming up this hour,
I'll have let's see uh j Night Thornton, our money expert,
our life and legacy expert. Excuse me, she'll join us,
plus doctor Willie Jolly his message the power.
Speaker 1 (28:53):
Of power positive self talk.
Speaker 4 (28:55):
Y'all know I believe in that big time music from
teacher haddingt for Sean Mitchell and you Kaling car here's
Tasha Kyle's litter.
Speaker 1 (29:01):
We do it anyway. I'll get it morning talk. I
shall remember the lords I got. It is he that
give us the power.
Speaker 9 (29:09):
To get you.
Speaker 4 (29:13):
All right, guys, it's money Monday, and you know we
love to help you get your money right. So, in
recent news, w NBA players are demanding to be paid
what they deserve.
Speaker 1 (29:22):
And even if you don't make as.
Speaker 4 (29:24):
Much as basketball superstars, it's still important to get paid
for your contributions to your company. Our money expert Deny
Thornton is here to help us negotiate higher salaries and
get paid what we deserve.
Speaker 1 (29:35):
Good morning, Jani, Come on, Jani, No.
Speaker 8 (29:39):
That's right, good morning, Happy Monday, Monday.
Speaker 4 (29:42):
Listen, we are ready for this conversation, so Jani, let's
jump right in. When is the best time to negotiate
a salary increase?
Speaker 14 (29:50):
So Erica, A lot of times our increases are tied
to our performance reviews. It's really important that you have
le to one preferably to review schedule a year. Please
be intentional about that. I know a lot of times
people avoid them, they hate them, but a lot of
times our increased compensation is tied to the acknowledgment of
(30:13):
our contributions when they're still fresh.
Speaker 7 (30:16):
Wow.
Speaker 1 (30:16):
I love that. So what are three steps for preparing
to ask for a raise?
Speaker 14 (30:23):
Three things people need to do Airhut. Number one, please
do your research. Know who makes the decision about your raise.
You want to make sure you're talking to the right person. Also,
know the salary range that you're asking for. Number two,
you want to make sure you're scheduling the media with
your manager to have that conversation and be prepared whether
it's in person, zoom over the phone.
Speaker 1 (30:44):
And last, don't take it light.
Speaker 14 (30:47):
Practice, practice practice. You want to make sure that you
feel confident shooting your shot and that you're ready and
equipped to ask for what you feel that you deserve.
Speaker 1 (30:57):
Wow, I love that.
Speaker 4 (30:59):
So what update can our listeners make to their resume
to help them earn more income?
Speaker 14 (31:03):
You know, it's really important that people be specific, Erica.
You know, if you manage people, how many you know?
If you're in charge of a budget, how much you know?
If you want any awards, which one you know? If
you saved your company money or time, how much and
how you know? Please be specific, you know people you
(31:24):
want to do the listing for people you do, not
want to make them think too hard. Please tell your
story and shoot your shot, even in your resume.
Speaker 1 (31:32):
Yeah, I love it. I love that, Jane.
Speaker 6 (31:35):
Outside of documenting your accomplishments and accolades saying I was
awesome all week and not as awesome the week before.
What can you do with your responsibility change? But your
salary stays the same, Like they just want to give
you a different name for something. You are now the
managerial chief, operating janitor.
Speaker 14 (31:56):
It's funny, Griff, how frequently that happened?
Speaker 4 (31:59):
You know?
Speaker 13 (31:59):
You look up?
Speaker 14 (32:00):
Now you have more responsibilities. Now your titles change, which
you're like, wait a minute, where is my money? Gread
nothing else has changed. Please be intentional and direct and
ask what conditions need to be in place for me
to give more compensation? So we want to be respectful,
(32:22):
and when we have these conversations, you know, we don't
want to be angry, we don't want to have our
little attitudes.
Speaker 11 (32:28):
But be directed and ask that question, what do I
need to accomplish to do?
Speaker 14 (32:33):
What do I need to do in order to make
more money? Let them tell you and then by when,
please make sure that you are scheduling that intentional time
to circle back, follow up? What again? Whoever this decision
maker is, so you know you'll look up in the
weeks have become months, make sure you have that follow
up meeting with them so you can get that additional
(32:55):
money that you deserve.
Speaker 4 (32:56):
Okay, lastly, what should listeners do after negotiation a salary?
Speaker 1 (33:02):
Of course, I want to make sure that we have.
Speaker 14 (33:03):
Everything in writing, so we don't want to play any
games with any verbal conversation, so let's make sure we
do that. Also, please make sure that we follow up
with inappropriate thank you. You know, when people have heard
you shoot your shot, you know and you have been
prepared and you shared your accolades. Griff like you talked about,
you get that additional money, thank you. I think it's
(33:25):
more than appropriate.
Speaker 10 (33:26):
To do that, for sure.
Speaker 4 (33:29):
Absolutely, yeah, And I think people should make sure they're
actually capable and they actually can earn what they're asking for.
I had an employee that asks for a forty thousand
dollars race and she had only been working for four months.
So she not talking to y'all people when you've only
been there four months, She's not talking to you.
Speaker 1 (33:48):
I could not believe it.
Speaker 4 (33:49):
She told me everything that she deserved. I said, Oh,
I'm glad that you believe in yourself. Yes, not this
job though. We're not talking to them, not the four
months that want a raise, Not y'all. We're talking to
our financial legacy expert this morning, Jani Thornton. So tell
us how to follow you on social media and how
to get more tips.
Speaker 14 (34:09):
Oh, you can always follow me at Jeni Thornton Bench
j I N I T H O R N G
O N. And of course please check out my podcast
to Take Me Later show and you can check that
out YouTube, Spotify or anywhere else you download or listen
to your podcast or I cannot get past that forty
thousand dollars.
Speaker 12 (34:26):
I'm still focusing on that right now.
Speaker 1 (34:29):
Needless to say, we let her go. All right, guys,
y'all stick around. We got more on the ways. Get
up mornings.
Speaker 2 (34:43):
If you're listening to get up with Erica Camp, it's
time to wake up and win with doctor Willie Jolly.
Speaker 20 (34:59):
Hey, it's another This is doctor Willie Jolly, author of
the book or set Back as a set up for
a comeback in the day and this time of challenge
and change, I want to give you chips to come
back to change your life. You must change your communication
and make it a point to have positive self talk.
Sweet talk yourself and speak positively about your life. Sticks
(35:22):
and stones may break your bones, and words can break
your spirit, even if the words are your words and
a words you speak to yourself. So watch what you
allow yourself to say to you about you. Studies show
that eighty percent of self talk is negative. If God
made you, then you are awesome, period. I am grateful
(35:43):
for each of you, and I think you are incredible
and you can do incredible things with your life.
Speaker 1 (35:48):
Now just start believing the same for yourself.
Speaker 20 (35:51):
Remember, if God made you, then you are marvelously and
wonderfully made, so act like it right now.
Speaker 1 (35:57):
This is doctor Willy Jolly.
Speaker 20 (35:58):
Go to win with Willie dot com for resources to
help you win more and remember your best is yet
to come. You've heard from us now.
Speaker 12 (36:06):

Speaker 6 (36:12):
The get up polls brought to you by the Fantastic Voyage.
The twenty twenty five Tom Joining Fantastic Voyage set sale
this fall celebrate twenty five years of Murray. Murray but
Bore Kevin now at FB two zero two five dot
com or called two one four four nine five nineteen
sixty three Erica. What we talk about today today?
Speaker 1 (36:33):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (36:34):
According to the National Calendar, today is National Sons and
Daughter's Day can be dated back to you know, we
started making up after the eighties.
Speaker 1 (36:42):
We just started making up whatever we wanted to be.
It's a hot dog that's a biscuit day. It's very
muffin day, right.
Speaker 4 (36:50):
But in nineteen eighty eight it's mentioned in Canada Canada
a daily article.
Speaker 1 (36:55):
Missouri was the first state to observe the National Sons
and Daughter's Day. So do special for your children today.
Hang around at home, go for a walk, enjoy your
local park. You know, make a phone call to your
grown children. Today we are celebrating our kids, you know.
Speaker 4 (37:10):
Griff Zaiyah's performance was at a theater that's literally maybe
three or four blocks.
Speaker 1 (37:15):
So we walked as a family over to.
Speaker 2 (37:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (37:17):
We had never done that before, and Walsey was like, wow, mom,
this is really cool. Plus he lost his phone, so
he was really paying attention. He had a good time
with the walk because he just needed something to do.
But I digress. No, we had a good time, and
then we you know, we walked back. Of course, my
sister of Love and Chris to took an uber because
they're bougie. But I'm walk from the walk. I said,
(37:40):
We're not you not taking an uber back. We all
walking together. We literally just walking down the street. I
thought it was simpol something. You don't see them on
the street. That's you know, like New York and place
like that. You see people walking ed burrywhere. So that
was really cool. It is not a I didn't celebrate them,
but I'm spending time with him, and that's power before
families and for relationships.
Speaker 1 (38:02):
When was the last time you hung out with all
your kids, well, all my kids probably Christmas?
Speaker 6 (38:09):
But I've been hanging out with, so I had a
chance to hang out with Jamison for the whole summer.
She actually starts school at Kennessas State this Friday. I'll
be in Nashville, so I won't be able to help
her move in, but my son and my brother's gonna go.
I'll be there on Monday as soon as I come
back from Nashville. But just really had a chance, you know,
(38:31):
the last six seven weeks to really just you know,
put her on game and stuff like, hey man, college
is different. It's not high school. You know, keep your
head on a swivel, pay attention. You know what I'm saying,
don't get caught up and just you've been perfect this far.
Don't change.
Speaker 1 (38:50):
You know. It's a little more and they require some
other things. But you know, who am I.
Speaker 6 (38:55):
I ain't going to college. I can't tell you nothing
about school for reals, you know what I'm saying. I mean,
I can tell you to pay attention to people. You
know what I'm saying. People are different, they got different motives,
they got you know, just pay attention.
Speaker 4 (39:09):
Absolutely awesome, And you know what, that's a real fatherly message,
you know.
Speaker 1 (39:13):
But I remember when Christ Christa told one she was like,
you know, Dad, sometimes just talk to me and not
give me all the corrections and what I need to do.
And she's like, you know, sometimes I want to laugh
and talk about stuff you did as a kid. You know.
So fathers, y'all take that note too. Everything. You don't
have to be a how to session. No, we always laugh. Oh,
I know y'all be. I know y'all be clowning. She
(39:35):

her with her comedy Roly I'm talking about I love

Speaker 4 (45:20):
A secret clinical antipress during stick provides three times the
sweat protection to take on that challenge. Secret Clinical has
your back. All right, guys, it's time for the love
talk the other day. And speaking of having your back, listen,
that's what you are supposed to have when you love someone.
Speaker 1 (45:36):
Listen, you know how.
Speaker 4 (45:37):
I don't know if y'all remember this, but if you
were on the playground and two friends was fighting, they
were stand back to back to look out for each other,
especially if it was more than one person coming after y'all,
what that's what that's the picture of having your back?
Do you stand back to back? I'll get this when
you get this. When you kicking, they swinging, you looking
out a watch this, you're looking out for one another.
That's what love and life and friendship is to be.
(46:00):
That's what it's supposed to look like. Somebody having your
back is somebody standing up for you. Somebody having your
back is somebody looking out for you. Are you doing
that with the people that you love? Or are you
pointing out the wrong? Are you recognizing every time they fall?
Are you throwing it back in their face when they
get back up and try to get restored and try
to walk right and do right, do right and live right?
Are you just reminding them of what they used to do?
(46:23):
Or do you really have their back? Are you helping
them walk in purpose? Are you helping them walk in victory?
How are you doing with the people that you say
that you love. How do you treat them right when
they come to you with something? Are you argumentative and
combative or are you honest? Do you get to a
place of real reconciliation or listen, this is not having
a back either. If you just sit quiet and don't
(46:43):
say nothing, because you know there's those that do that too,
you have a problem for a long time and you
just never say it.
Speaker 1 (46:48):
If you love somebody, speak up, speak up. So you
have a healthy relationship. You can't walk the relationships quietly, quietly, upset, quietly, irritated, quietly, frustrated,
quietly annoyed or offended because of offense can take you
to content. Contempt and offense can take you to I
don't want this no more. So make sure you get
(47:09):
that stuff off your heart. If you have.
Speaker 4 (47:10):
They back to half real conversations about life and love
and what's going right and what's going wrong. Sometimes, just
take a moment to celebrate. You know, we've been doing
real good. We've been talking, we've been communicating, We've overcome
some things. Celebrate when you overcome things. Don't be so
upset that it happened till you apologize, but you ain't
really over it.
Speaker 1 (47:28):
Get over it. And I don't mean get over it
like ignore it. I mean lift your foot up, walk
over it. We are over that.
Speaker 4 (47:34):
We've moved on to a new point. We moved on
to a new place. We're not tripping like that anymore.
All right, that's my love talk other day. I'm trying
to help us be strong in the area of love.
Why because we serve a loving God. Until you serve
a loving God, guess what, it's love on the inside
of you, let the people around you see it and
feel it. That is my love talking today. All right, guys,
Sybil is up next and Grif will give us a

Nineteen variant, known as xfg or stratus, has become the
