Are you so enamored with your faith that you're always
telling me? Because because I got faith and I even late,
are you always doing that? Our faith is always supposed
to be in God, right, we can feel good about
our walk with Christ. Like for those of you who
have been in church a long time, and I remember
hearing people testify when I was a little girl.

I've been in this way a long time.

I don't know if I don't know if the length
of time dictates your relationship with Christ or your relationship
with Christ.

If you are brand new getting to know Christ, he

God in Christ, and then I went to a non
denominational church, and now my church is non denomination, and
then we partner with you know, all kinds of churches,

and in every denomination. There is sometimes a little slither
of arrogance in your faith in you know, when you say, oh, y'all,
you don't know that God. I learned that a long
time ago. What they teaching you over at that church.
Let's learn to not have arrogance in our faith. Let's
be humble with this beautiful blessing of Jesus loving us

enough to die in the cross, right, so we have
access to heaven. So we have a right to the
tree of life. That's what they would say. That's what
I heard. So you now have a right to the
tree of life.

But when you get when you look down on people,
I just don't think that's godly.

in one not one bit, because but for the grace

And today I want to talk about embracing new seasons
of life. I don't know many people who celebrate getting older.
I don't know many people who you know, jump for
joy at the changes in life, feeling certain aches and
pains and you know, not having the vibrancy that you
had as a young age. But what I am learning
(20:13):
to do is appreciate every season, to speak life over
every season in my life, whether it be doing this
show or singing and traveling or church or children. It's
just a new place in my life. And so I
can't be so I can't romanticize my younger years so
(20:34):
much that I am not grateful right now.

And I think that's what happens.
Speaker 8 (20:38):
We're so busy remembering what was, you know, like the
old person who was they was jamming in the seventies,
so they still living like they in the seventies, but
we in two hundred and twenty twenty five, you know.
I think that we should learn to embrace where we are,
appreciate we are where we are, be grateful for where
we are. Just because you're aging, you're not dead, You're
still alive. There's still things to learn, there still to do,

there's still ways to grow. And now you can become
a coach, you can become a mentor you become a
teacher to the younger generations to teach them what you know.
Having a different perspective on walking through the new seasons
of life can determine whether you enjoy them or you're
frustrated by them, there will always be a new internex.
I'm so excited about this next generation of gospel artists.

I'm so excited about seeing my nieces and nephews grow
up and learn to drive and talk about buying cars
and getting relationships. And it is my job to not
be the old auntie, but be the auntie who's willing
to poor and teach and love and spend time with
them and gently guide them.

They have to find their own way, just like I
found mine. And so as i walk in this new
season of my life and I'm still young, I'm not
saying that I'm, you.

New seasons feel uncomfortable sometimes, right, it can be overwhelming sometimes,
but learn to see the blessings so you find the joy.

I will not say all young people are crazy and
don't nobody know what they're doing. God knew this time
and the season was coming, so they must be purposing it.

It's a real question. Do you have faith in your faith?

Are you so enamored with your faith that you're always
telling me? Because because I got faith and I even late,
are you always doing that? Our faith is always supposed
to be in God, right, we can feel good about
our walk with Christ. Like for those of you who
have been in church a long time, and I remember
hearing people testify when I was a little girl.

I've been in this way a long time.

I don't know if I don't know if the length
of time dictates your relationship with Christ or your relationship
with Christ.

If you are brand new getting to know Christ, he
loves you.

Just like He loves the person that's known him for
fifty seven years. If you just got saved yesterday, it's
not like it's a baby version of.

The Holy goals and you don't really have the Holy goes.

If you just got saved and you just got filed,
you have the power of the Holy Goals. Now, learning
how to walk in that takes time. Learning how to
understand that takes time. But sometimes we be church people.
I love us and listen. I grew up Church of
God in Christ, and then I went to a non
denominational church, and now my church is non denomination, and
then we partner with you know, all kinds of churches,

and in every denomination. There is sometimes a little slither
of arrogance in your faith in you know, when you say, oh, y'all,
you don't know that God. I learned that a long
time ago. What they teaching you over at that church.
Let's learn to not have arrogance in our faith. Let's
be humble with this beautiful blessing of Jesus loving us

enough to die in the cross, right, so we have
access to heaven. So we have a right to the
tree of life. That's what they would say. That's what
I heard. So you now have a right to the
tree of life.

But when you get when you look down on people,
I just don't think that's godly.

I think he needs to be loved and he needs to.

Know how much God wants him to believe in who

of John, it's all about believing.

Us to believe in Jesus. We believe in him, not

Like you get arrogant about the thing that you only
got because God gave it to you. That's crazy. Let's
not be mean and judgmental Christians. Let's not be arrogant
about the fact that you know God, I know what
a mess I am. I'm so humble by all God
has done in my life. I'm so humble by where
I get to sit in my life. I'm not arrogant
in one not one bit, because but for the grace

of life. I don't know many people who celebrate getting older.
I don't know many people who you know, jump for
joy at the changes in life, feeling certain aches and
pains and you know, not having the vibrancy that you
had as a young age. But what I am learning

to do is appreciate every season, to speak life over
every season in my life, whether it be doing this
show or singing and traveling or church or children. It's
just a new place in my life. And so I
can't be so I can't romanticize my younger years so

much that I am not grateful right now.

And I think that's what happens.
Speaker 8 (20:38):
We're so busy remembering what was, you know, like the
old person who was they was jamming in the seventies,
so they still living like they in the seventies, but
we in two hundred and twenty twenty five, you know.
I think that we should learn to embrace where we are,
appreciate we are where we are, be grateful for where
we are. Just because you're aging, you're not dead, You're
still alive. There's still things to learn, there still to do,

there's still ways to grow. And now you can become
a coach, you can become a mentor you become a
teacher to the younger generations to teach them what you know.
Having a different perspective on walking through the new seasons
of life can determine whether you enjoy them or you're
frustrated by them, there will always be a new internex.
I'm so excited about this next generation of gospel artists.

I'm so excited about seeing my nieces and nephews grow
up and learn to drive and talk about buying cars
and getting relationships. And it is my job to not
be the old auntie, but be the auntie who's willing
to poor and teach and love and spend time with
them and gently guide them.

They have to find their own way, just like I
found mine. And so as i walk in this new
season of my life and I'm still young, I'm not

New seasons feel uncomfortable sometimes, right, it can be overwhelming sometimes,
but learn to see the blessings so you find the joy.
What I will not do is become old and grumpy.

I will not say all young people are crazy and
don't nobody know what they're doing. God knew this time
and the season was coming, so they must be purposing it.

I don't want to romanticize what was That's why I'm

waiting you know how to make it great again?

I can do? And how can I see it differently?
Because my eyes are more mature in that a different perspective.

wanted to know who in the world was this in? Uh,
this is the most personal you've been. What inspired this
new chapter?

You honestly just everything I'm going through in my life,
everything I'm going through my career. And I was writing
this chorus and I immediately wanted to be a part
of it, and I felt like I wanted to incorporate,
you know, my worship in it.
Speaker 3 (43:09):
And so that's why I feel like it's personal, because
it actually is a true song, you know, and I
really am grateful. That's where I am right now in life.

I love it. I love it. There's nothing like gratitude.

And you've always blended gospel worshiping, soul and R and B,
so naturally, with all of the recent talk in a
state of the gospel industry, how do you approach mixing genres?

What's your heart posture about it all?
Speaker 3 (43:34):
You know, I just keep being myself. You know I
was raised trust to God in Christ. I am a gospel.
Speaker 12 (43:39):
Singer that loves to worship, So I think I just
always bring my my voice. Ain't gonna change, y'all hear
like I'm already. I'm a raty singer.

I love, I love runs and I.
Speaker 12 (43:52):

So I just.

And I bring that to the table when it comes
to worse.
