Speaker 5 (02:06):
The Trump administration says it will use a four point
sixty five billion dollar emergency fund to partially fund November
Snap benefits after two judges ruled over the weekend to
keep the program running. However, the funds only cover about
half the usual eight billion dollar monthly cost, meaning millions
of the recipients may see reduced or even delayed payments.
(02:28):
With the USDA missing the November first deadline, uncertainty remains
high for the forty two million Americans who rely on
this program.
Speaker 3 (02:37):
It's election day.
Speaker 5 (02:38):
Though much of the national focus is on key races
in New Jersey and Virginia, the only states holding gubernatorial elections.
Let's not forget New York is having a mayoral election too.
Off Your elections often serve as a referendum on the
president and his party. This year, that means President Trump
and the Republicans. Analysts say the results, along with California's

year's all too important mid term elections. CPA to the
Stars Katrina Mcraft says there's a major difference between tax

Erika Campbell.
Speaker 1 (05:48):
You're listening to Get Up with Erica Campbo.
Speaker 6 (05:52):
Seathwalking right now, Hey, Manith, get up forty.
Speaker 2 (06:00):
Yes, it is time for the faith Walk of the day.
And I guess I'm still in my laugh cry heel's
face because I want to let you know that the
main reason I did it is because people have separated
their emotions from their faith. And while we don't put
our emotions in the driver's seat, we also don't ignore them.
We don't ignore who we are and how we are
(06:22):
and what we're feeling. Whether it is getting older and
going through menopause or whether it is just coming to
a different phase in life. It is acknowledging how you
feel and then taking that to the Father, doing something
about it, praying about it, whether it is letting go
things of the past or embracing how you feel about
what's next and what's new. Sometimes, what or most times
(06:43):
what God has called you to is bigger than you
and requires a big leap of faith and fear will
get in the way, And if you are a big
planner and organizer, you knowing what the details are will
get in the way sometimes of you moving forward, or
if you live in fear, that will get in the
way of you moving forward. What God wants from us
is to tell the world about him, And sometimes we
(07:04):
let our emotions and feelings and questions and concerns get
in the way. Sometimes we let what other people have
done wrong stop us from doing what is right. Well,
you know, people don't listen because people always dot dot
dot whatever you want to say.
Speaker 3 (07:18):
There's a million excuses that you could use to.
Speaker 2 (07:20):
Say no, but it is still considered saying no based
on how you feel, how will you feel about you,
and how you feel about other people. So we serve
a God who understands. Jesus understands our emotions, whether it
is frustration or sadness, but brokenness or dealing with crazy people.
Speaker 3 (07:37):
Jesus had to face some crazy people and.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
He dealed with He dealt with them with love, with honesty,
sometimes parables.
Speaker 3 (07:45):
Y'all, we've got to move forward and move in faith
and not be intimidated by our emotions by what we feel.
You feel what you feel, and you do it anyway.
Speaker 2 (07:53):
You feel what you feel, but you stand on the
word of God, the promise of God, the call of God,
the favor of God, the goodness of God, the mercy
of God, the grace of God. What I want is action, y'all.
We got to put feet to our faith. We gotta
get out and tell the world that Jesus saves. They
got some crazy views of Christians, and you can change
that if you get out and say something and do something.
Speaker 3 (08:12):
Draw souls to Jesus. Yes, go to your church, right, get.
Speaker 2 (08:16):
Some good Jesus juice, get some ammunition, and then go
out into the world and tell people about Jesus. That
means the Orthodox places. That means the places you say
Christians don't go. You take yourself and you win souls.
Draw people to Jesus. That's what we're supposed.
Speaker 3 (08:30):
To do, all right.
Speaker 2 (08:30):
I love you and I mean it. We will not
let our emotions stop us. Our feelings will not stop
us any more. That is the faith walk of the day. Now,
it's birthday. Shout out time. Eight seven seven two four
two two four two six. That's eight seven seven two
four two two four two six.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
Give us a call. It's birthday. Shout out time.

terrific Tuesday, remember the fourth. We are up and having
a great morning already. All right, good people coming up
this hour. Let's see we've got h I love an
Erica Ism, Griffle, have the joys and concerns. Will have
Sybil Woolfs in about eleven minutes and she'll give you
the five things you need to know live great music
from James Fortune, Lisa Oldsmith and CC Winings. Here's a
(12:13):
song I really want you all to grab hold of
because if we get this right, everything changes. It's trust
and obey and get up on the bar. You know, yes,
she's in the building. Hey Sybil, good morning, Good morning,
(12:34):
my friends.
Speaker 3 (12:34):
How are you doing well? Doing well? All right, guys,
let's jump right in.
Speaker 2 (12:38):
So November Snap will be partially funded, but benefits could
take weeks or months to get to So tell us
more about it.
Speaker 7 (12:48):
This is a mess as a results of all the
things going on in Washington, DC. As we know, the
Snap benefits of were defunded as of November one, and
judges came in and changed that around and said you
must pay the people who need these Snap benefits in
order to feed their families. And that was just before
(13:11):
the November one deadline. Now, the Trump administration said, the
President went on his social media that it will be
his honor to fund the people who need the money
the most and to feed their families. But because of protocol,
because of electronics and nightmares and things like that, technology,
(13:32):
they will not have as much money in the emergency fund.
They only have about four and a half billion dollars.
That sounds like an incredible amount of money, but what
they need is about eight billion dollars monthly to feed
all of the people of America on Snap benefits. So
they said that they will partially fund the Snap benefits,
(13:52):
but also there's going to be a big delay, and
that has to do with the technology of it all.
The government said that they will have to recode their
eligibility systems to adjust for the reduced benefits, and it's
not clear how quickly state systems will be able to
do so, and so these state systems could take anywhere
from a few weeks to up to several months. Wow
(14:17):
for people to get their money.
Speaker 12 (14:18):
Wow.
Speaker 3 (14:19):
Okay, it's voting day. What do we need to know
about that?
Speaker 7 (14:23):
It is voting day? And that's something I go back
to when Joe was on our show years ago and
he said, when is voting Day. We're like, well, it's today,
but it is, yeah, thanks you. Voting day taking place
through much of the country. As Griff knows, in Atlanta,
there is a mayoral election. There's a big mayoral election
(14:44):
in New York which has created a lot of uproar
in that a socialist Democrat it could very well be
the next mayor of New York City. And the gubernatorial
races in New Jersey and Virginia, women will be the
next governor of Virginia or New Jersey, no matter what
some people are saying. Certainly in Virginia New Jersey a
(15:07):
Democrat Democratic woman and a Republican man, and so they
are the only ones holding the gubernatorial elections, and this
off year election is interesting because it usually gives people
an idea of where the current administration stands. We know
what's been going on in Washington, DC with the current administration,
and this will give them an idea where they stand
(15:28):
with the people and also perhaps give a boost to
Democrats going into next year's midterm elections regarding congressional and
Senate seats.
Speaker 2 (15:37):
Wow, okay, Triplets eighteenen are aiming to represent Jamaica in
the Winter Olympics.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
I love this, Share it with us.
Speaker 7 (15:48):
So you know it takes you back to cool runnings.
Remember the movie about the Jamaica Bob's Flood teams. Well,
these young people are from Long Island, New York, but
their mom is from Jamaica. So the eighteen year old
triplet Tania, Klenia, Helena and Henry Rivers are aiming to
make Olympic history and represent their mother's native Jamaica in
(16:11):
alpine scheme in the upcoming Winter Games next year, and
it's selected, they'll become the first triplets ever to compete
in the same Winter Olympics. As well as for the
unlikely event of alpine skiing.
Speaker 3 (16:25):
I love it.
Speaker 4 (16:26):
Now I'm gonna be rooting for him. It's a movie
by itself right now. Nothing absolutely simple.
Speaker 2 (16:32):
Thank you to the top, absolutely, Thank you so much
for keeping us aware and informed.
Speaker 3 (16:37):
Y'all. Make sure you get the what you need to know.
Speaker 2 (16:41):
Daily Newsletter had a brain freeze, and make sure you
watch the YouTube show Money through Friday's eight seventh Central.
Speaker 3 (16:48):
Thank you so much for being with the Sibyl. We
appreciate you.
Speaker 7 (16:51):
Appreciate you guys out there and vote everybody. It makes
the difference.
Speaker 2 (16:54):
Have a good one, absolutely, y'all. Voting makes a difference.
Voting makes a difference. Please make time for it today.
Get up, get out, know who you're voting for. We
need to change this country and we have the power
to do it, y'all.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Stick around. There's more on the way. It's Get It Mornings.
Speaker 1 (17:21):
If you're listening to Get Up Real God, Erica of
the Day or Get Up Mornings with Erica Campboles.
Speaker 3 (17:31):
So listen, guys.
Speaker 2 (17:32):
This's something that I do when I'm in the studio,
So for those of you who don't know, so, in
the studio you sing the backgrounds and you have to
layer the background. So I'll sing the soprano note four times,
the alto note four times, and the tenor note four times,
and each time I have to blend with the previous
note right to make sure that it sounds good. So
(17:53):
what I do is, I'll sing the first line, and
then for the second line, I'll close my eyes so
I can hear better. Yes, you heard me right, I
will close my eyes so I can hear better. I'm
not distracted by what I see because I'm using my
other senses. When you shut down one sense, the other
(18:14):
gets stronger. And so I will close my eyes each
time I hear, and I'll ask them to play it
back for me, so I will hear if it matches
or not. I know that sounds a little crazy. It's
kind of the same theology of when you're trying to park,
you turn the music down, why because you're not parking
with your ears. But when all your senses are working,
(18:37):
it can be distracting and hard to focus. So for me,
when I'm singing, I have to close my eyes. When
I'm doubling the voices. I don't do it live, but
when I'm doubling a voice in studio and want to
make sure it sounds good. I close my eyes sometimes
when I want to remember something, I will close my
eyes because you can be distracted by what you see.
Speaker 3 (18:58):
Guess what the same is. Truthly, you can.
Speaker 2 (19:01):
Be distracted by what you see, by a bill, by
doctor's note, by the people and how they're acting.
Speaker 3 (19:07):
You can be distracted by what you see.
Speaker 2 (19:09):
And sometimes you need to tap into what you know
in your spirit in order to move forward, to not
be discouraged by what you see, to not be moved
by what you see. And so I want us to
learn how to really hear God. Y'all, don't really embrace
the song like I wanted you to trust and obey.
I really wanted y'all to get that message and understand
(19:30):
the power and trusting and obeying God, and how trusting
and obeying God moves you forward in your faith because
it moves you beyond what you see and what you feel.
It moves you beyond your circumstances. You know, It's like
the person that's sitting in the hospital and they are
praying healing over somebody with tubes everywhere and doctors standing
in there and then looking incapacitated and sometimes not coherent,
but you are praying that.
Speaker 3 (19:50):
God will heal and you can't be moved by what
you see. You have to believe what you know.
Speaker 2 (19:56):
The same is true for life. It is trusting and
obeying God's plan and handing in your life.
Speaker 3 (20:00):
Y'all.
Speaker 2 (20:00):
I did not know I would be sitting in this
position in my life, not a seventeen years seventeen years old,
living in an apartment with my mom who was on welfare,
hoping and dreaming for WHA would be asking her what
was our financial information? Because I wanted to school, go
to school. When she told me twenty five thousand dollars
a year, I said, for nine kids, And how.
Speaker 3 (20:20):
Are you doing this? My mama had big faith.
Speaker 2 (20:23):
How she made it through I don't know, but that
faith jumped into me and so I have the same
kind of faith. But it means I have to trust
without looking at the things that I see. And so
I want you to learn to operate in faith. Now,
there are some practical things. You gotta do the work,
and you got to be diligent in You got to
make sure that you are capable. There has to be
desire and passion and fight for the things that you
want because it is easy to be distracted by the
(20:44):
world that we see. It is easy to be distracted
by what we see on the news. But I declare
to you we are children of God. We have Kingdom
principles that we live by. So even though the world
is going through, I declare provision in your life because
we live by Kingdom principles. Don't be distracted by what
you see. You can be a fact did buy it,
but don't be distracted by it. You can be aware
of it, but don't be distracted by it. You can
(21:05):
know what's going on, and you could actually be fighting
for justice. But you've got to believe in your soul
that we serve a God who is able. We will
speak faith and provision and direction and guidance and peace
and joy in the name of Jesus. That's the aircaism
for the day. Y'all stick around. We got more on
the way. It's get up mornings. If you're listening to
(21:32):
get up not the church, say Amen the time for
joys and concerns well saying to the most hard God,
we are coming to you live from the get up
Church of our Lord. Back the Costin denominational denominational A
and E, C, N, ME, E and G. Element O
(21:52):
p and pas all the Church of God in Christ.
All right, Brother Chris of the laih, thank you.
Speaker 4 (21:58):
Lady past there. Gotta say happy birthday to the hommie
DJ Quicksilver and my guy Donald Sims. Donald, you the man, hommy.
That's real clear. First, giving honor to God who's ahead
(22:19):
of my life. I like to say, I'm glad to
be in the house of the Lord one more time,
elder girl, because he brought me from a mighty, mighty
long way, Brother Donald Sims. I could have been dead,
sleeping in the grave. But God is good all the time,
all the time. God is cool man. So I'm listening.
(22:42):
I'm watching Instagram while my wife's working out in front
of me in the living room, and I hear this compassionate,
like this compelling story, and I'm like, hey, did you
know that an eagle after forty years, he loses his
beak and he can't eat, so he has to do
this this dramatic process and running to the side of
(23:03):
a mountain and his beak breaks off and it takes
some one hundred and fifty days to grow his beat back,
and then his claws got old, so he snatches out
his calls and and then my wife said, I said, man,
that's beautiful. And the Storian and the Instagram was like,
and that's how you need to change. You got a
choice to live or to die. And a nigga said, well,
(23:27):
how he eat for one hundred and fifty days? I said,
oh no, And I'm walking away, walking downstairs, and I said, oh,
he probably saved food. And then I was walking downstairs.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
I said, save fool.
Speaker 3 (23:38):
He is not a eagle, not a squirrel.
Speaker 4 (23:42):
But they're not Google. I said, Google, new eagles regrows,
But you say, no, eagles do not grow.
Speaker 3 (23:48):
They beaks.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
It's a it's a myth and it's not it's not
it's not possible. I felt like an idiot lady and jumming,
you know, fact check these instagram posted And then I'm thinking,
and then I'm like, an eagle body looks a beacons
made out of the same thing. A fingernail is like
(24:10):
that a bird? Ain't that? Man? Let me tell you something.
Somebody in the car like, oh, that's a real story.
You get zaying you all right? Somebody else, griff and
social media is putting us in a trick bag.
Speaker 3 (24:21):
It is you get zaying you.
Speaker 4 (24:22):
All right, but if you like me, and you know,
if you don't eat one hundred and fifty days, you
gonna die. What kind of story, Katy right En. Nigga
laughed at me for two hours and she said, she said,
you were so serious. You know an eagle after forty years?
Speaker 3 (24:41):
She was doing my voice.
Speaker 4 (24:43):
Man, that oh, because I like a good motivational story.
You know what I'm saying, Like the bamboo stick, how
it grows it? Man, that was the worst. I memorized
it in one minute, can Hiti. It's how I felt.
I promise you that's what you back. You could laugh
for the rest of the day. Now Griffy was falling
(25:06):
for the banana the tail pipe, a whole banana in
the tail you know.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
No, But then it's it to get his beat back.
Speaker 4 (25:15):
The eagle runs full speed into the side of a
mountain and breaks his beacon, almost his neck.

Speaker 1 (27:17):
Okay, perfect.
Speaker 13 (27:18):
This song was actually written via a conversation I had
with Caleb Carson, new sings with me and my sister
on the road. He is a cancer survivor who was
never supposed to be able to be able to speak,
much less live, and he told me this story after
knowing him for a few months, and I was like, Yo,
there are so many people who are at a place
where they need to hear a message of God not
being finished with them. And there's no better way to
(27:39):
introduce you to the world by you singing your testimony.
Speaker 4 (27:43):
Wow.
Speaker 13 (27:43):
This is a song written by us, but for him,
for the audience who is feeling like they are done
that there's no way I'm going to make.
Speaker 3 (27:51):
It through this.
Speaker 7 (27:52):
Whoop.
Speaker 3 (27:52):
Here's You're not Finished, Don't Get Up Morning, Get.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Up Mornings with Erica Campbell.
Speaker 13 (27:57):
Get Up Debut.
Speaker 3 (28:01):
Oh You're not finished, y'all. Oh my goodness.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Anthony Evans featuring Caleb Carson with his testimony and song.
What a beautiful song and this testimony. So, Hi Caleb, Hello,
good morning.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Hi, good morning, thank you.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
I feel so blessed to be here, absolutely glad to
have you here. So let me ask you, were you
afraid to share your testimony?
Speaker 1 (28:24):
I wasn't afraid.
Speaker 14 (28:26):
I've just been truly shocked and really grateful by the
way I've been able to see the way it's been
affecting people's lives and blessing people just by me sharing
my story and what God brought me through my life.
Speaker 1 (28:39):
Just to see the response.
Speaker 14 (28:41):
All over the country has just been really a blessing.
Speaker 3 (28:45):
Wow.
Speaker 2 (28:46):
How amazing? How amazing. So how has it been working together?
How's it been working together?
Speaker 3 (28:51):
Anthony?
Speaker 2 (28:52):
I know you do what you do, and I've been
to some of the events that you have with your sister,
and I totally enjoyed the worship. So how do you
go from singing on stage to saying we're gonna record
a song together?
Speaker 13 (29:01):
Well, I with all the singers that I'm with and
the people on the road, I've just decided let's write internally.
And so it's been a great experience sitting around and
getting to know the people that I work with. On
the stage better. And this just happened in a writing session.
Caleb just started telling us the story and I was like,
how have I known you and not known this about you?
Like you just quiet those things much And so it's
(29:21):
been it's been an amazing opportunity for me to work
with the artists that I'm around, especially Caleb. I've been
pushing him hard.
Speaker 1 (29:28):
He's like, I'm like, welcome, Caleb.
Speaker 12 (29:30):
This is welcome, get up top to sing. This's all
you know what I mean.
Speaker 4 (29:35):
So it's cool.
Speaker 12 (29:35):
But I've been having a good time.
Speaker 1 (29:37):
I don't know about Caleb, but I've been having a
good tide.
Speaker 3 (29:41):
I love it.
Speaker 2 (29:42):
Yeah, the industry is not it's not all fun and
games like people think it is. It can be very
tough work. But I think it's a blessing to have
somebody like you with him on this journey. So shout
out to you, and I love that we get to
hear different voices. Even following you on social media, I
love you. And Amber's post with you doing the hard
runs and the easy runs.
Speaker 4 (30:00):
I just love you.
Speaker 3 (30:01):
Know how you live out loud so freely.
Speaker 2 (30:02):
It's just so wonderful to watch and I hear that
your fall is really busy, So what's coming up?
Speaker 1 (30:08):
The fall is busy. Actually, I'm spot days all all fall.
Speaker 13 (30:13):
You know how that goes a Christmas show actually in
DC that Caylorb's going to be a part of that
Christmas show also, And that's kind of the next couple
the next couple months is that just continue to promote
this song and more than promote the song, encourage audience
with the message of cause you're not finished.
Speaker 4 (30:30):
Absolutely, Cab, how important was it for you to be
obedient so everybody else can be blessed from your obedience.
Speaker 14 (30:40):
It's being obedient has allowed me to set so many
people free. I mean, just being able to witness that
live in person, just by me being obedient, to share
my story with Anthony and the whole group, just from
me being obedient to share my testimony about what God
did in my life. I mean, from that point that
(31:00):
all curated this song being written and being able to
share my testimony around around the world.
Speaker 1 (31:06):
I mean, it's been truly amazing to see all of the.
Speaker 14 (31:10):
Lives that have been affected and that I've been able
to bless just by me being obedient to share what
God has done in my life.
Speaker 1 (31:16):
So It's been truly a blessing.
Speaker 8 (31:18):
I love it.
Speaker 3 (31:18):
All things truly do work together for good. I love that.
Speaker 2 (31:21):
So tell us how to follow you guys on social media. Anthony,
and thank you again so much for being with us today.
Speaker 13 (31:28):
They can find me anywhere at Anthony Evans Junior, at

Speaker 6 (31:56):
If you're listening to get up, Kim, it's trying to
wake up and win with doctor Willie Jolly with Eric Campbell.
Speaker 1 (32:10):
It's another great day.
Speaker 11 (32:11):
This is doctor Willy Jolly, and today is the first
day of the rest of your life. So you must
decide what you're going to do with it. Every morning
you wake up, you have faced with a series of choices.
You can choose the choice, but you cannot choose the
consequence of that choice. You can choose to get up,
or you can choose to stay in bed. You can
choose to do nothing with this day, or you can
choose to get busy and make the most of this day. Yet,
(32:31):
keep in mind that you can make that choice, but
you cannot choose the consequence of the choice. I say
a person decides to jump off a building. They can
make that choice, but they cannot choose the consequence. They
might hit the ground and bounce back up, or they
might hit the ground and splot. You know what I'm saying.
You cannot choose which one will happen. All you can
do is choose the action. So today's choose well, make
(32:52):
a wise decision and decide to make the rest of
your life the best of your life. Make the decision
to make this a great day. This is doctor Willy Jolly.

Speaker 1 (33:46):

Speaker 2 (33:49):
Listen, y'all, it's sign for it, the get up poll
question of the day, and the pleasure of speaking at
my church on Sunday, and whenever it is time for
me to speak, I do a deep dive into the
word in the scripture, and I'm always so encouraged. So
today that's what I wanted to do. I'm going to
talk about those encouraging scriptures. I remember finding John fourteen.
Speaker 3 (34:11):
Oh, it just left my mind. Let not your heart
be trouble. That's it.
Speaker 2 (34:15):
Let not your heart be troubled. I found that scripture
when I was going through a breakup. I was probably
twenty twenty years old, going through a breakup, and I
just opened it, you know, trying to random, trying to be.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
All spooky sir Chris whatever movies. But luckily that particular
time I found let not.
Speaker 2 (34:34):
Your heart be troubled, and I just sat there and
wept and thanked God because I was like, Wow, you
really do hear me, You really do listen, And it
was so special. And I always remember that scripture because
of that moment in that time of me literally asking
and finding just what I needed just at the time.
So today we just want to know what are those
scriptures that encourage you. You know, of course trusting the
(34:55):
Lord with all your heart, but I also love thanks
being to God who always causes us to triumph.
Speaker 3 (35:01):
I also love He'll never leave me nor forsake me.
You know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
Those are the ones that get me fired up and
let me know that I'm good. Grip, what about you?
Speaker 4 (35:11):
I was not feeling well last week, so I was like,
I need all the verses on healing and you know,
getting out this desert. So I was in Jeremiah thirty
three and six. Nevertheless, I will bring health and healing
to it. I will heal my people and will let
them enjoy abundant peace insecurity. And then Psalms one O
(35:31):
three two to three says, praise the Lord my soul,
and forgetting not all this benefits who forgives all your
sins and heals all your diseases. And my last one
was Deuteronomy thirty two and thirty nine. See now that
I myself am here, there's no god besides me. I
put to death and I bring to life. I have wounded,
and I will heal, and no one can deliver out
(35:52):
of my hand.
Speaker 2 (35:53):
Come on, that's good stuff. So that's what we want
to know from you, Like, what is the scripture that
encourage you?
Speaker 3 (35:59):
What is your goal to?
Speaker 2 (36:00):
What do you say to yourself when the enemy start
lying to you? What do you what is your encouraging
victorious scripture? Eight seven seven two four two two four
two six. That's eight seven seven two four two two
four to two six. I don't want to give y'all
too many because they may be your scripture too.
Speaker 3 (36:14):
So give us a call.
Speaker 2 (36:15):
We want to know what's your favorite encouraging victorious scriptures?
Speaker 3 (36:19):
Get it mornings, y'all.
Speaker 1 (36:31):

Speaker 3 (36:37):
I'm so excited really because I got through and.
Speaker 2 (36:43):

We need to encourage somebody. Maybe they don't know the
word and need to understand the power in it. So

New Orleans. Hey, Stacy, what's your favorite victorious scripture?
Speaker 15 (36:59):

Speaker 2 (37:00):

for God has not giving you the spirit of fear,
but of powering.
Speaker 12 (37:05):
Of love and a sound mind.
Speaker 3 (37:07):
That's right. A lot of times my mind is where
I need to come on now we all need it.
Says thank you for sharing that with us today.
Speaker 4 (37:14):

purpose all things that, all the good, the bad and
the other, all things work together.
Speaker 3 (37:39):

Carolina and talk to the homie Roosevelt Roosevel. What's that
scripture that just gets you there?
Speaker 12 (38:01):
Yeah, okay, I'm from New Orleans, but that's Christian for me, was.
Speaker 4 (38:06):
Said, North Carolina. That is a big difference. I am
so wrong, dog man. That ain't even the same side
of the country.
Speaker 5 (38:15):
Y'all.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
That's that's my bad. Baby.
Speaker 12 (38:19):
It's all good, but it's uh, it's Luke twenty two
thirty two for me. So I have prayed for thee
that I face. You fail now when Doll converted, strengthened
our brother Wren. And this is Jesus talking to me
in the dark moment, and I promise you. As soon
as I praised the prep he answered me right away,
and I was like, I never looked back from that,
and I hold it to my heart right now. I
(38:41):
instilled it in my kids and everything everything.
Speaker 3 (38:44):
Wow, love it, man, love it. Praise God. Thank you
for sharing that what is today, sir?
Speaker 1 (38:48):
Have a good one you too, Thank you God.

Yes, I love it. God, bless you. Thank you for
calling today, Tony, Thank you you too.
Speaker 4 (39:19):
Let's go to South Carolina and talk to cc CEEC.
What's that scripture that just who does that for you?
Speaker 15 (39:26):
Isaiah forty thirty one. Those that wait upon the Lord,
she'll renew their strength. They shall mount up with means
as egos, line, not be.
Speaker 1 (39:37):
Weary, walk and not faith.
Speaker 14 (39:40):
Amen.
Speaker 3 (39:41):
Come on, I love it. That's a good one. Thank
you for calling. God blessed, Thank God bless Wow.
Speaker 4 (39:47):
Man, was the first time I really heard cast and
that you got it. And there's a lot of strength
to throw that that out there. It takes a bunch
of people sometimes.
Speaker 2 (39:58):
Listen every scripture in the world. It is powerful, every
single one. There is no weak scripture. Whatever scripture you.
Speaker 3 (40:04):

well On, get up, more so good for God, So
love the world'll love talk.
Speaker 3 (42:22):
Yes, it is time for the love talk of the day.
Speaker 2 (42:24):
And y'all know I got a really, really big family,
and you know, different people are in different phases and
stages of their lives. And you know, a lot of
the cousins and nieces that are in their thirties are
ready for marriage. And just because you're ready for marriage
when you're dating someone, that doesn't mean they're ready for marriage.
It does not mean they don't love you, It does
not mean they don't see forever with you. They're trying
(42:45):
to figure themselves out. And sometimes they're just not mature enough.
And I know, I know you think he thirty some
years old, he should know by now. Not necessarily, it's
some forty year olds that don't know because they're just
trying to figure out who am I really. I think
for women, we're always tapping into who we are, and
men are always tapping.
Speaker 3 (43:03):
Into what they do. So what they do is more
important than who they are and how they feel.
Speaker 2 (43:07):
You know, times are changing, because you know, we have
fathers giving affirmations with some that really do know who
they are, but some do not.
Speaker 3 (43:15):
And he just may really love you, but just he
not ready yet.
Speaker 2 (43:20):
And so don't bash him, don't trash him, don't treat
him less than allow him to become who he's going
to become. I'll tell you when me and warm were
dating and he's twenty five years old. He's this new producer,
he's making all this money. Everybody he ever liked is
interested in him. I remember going to the studio with
a very very famous female singer and when I tell you,
(43:42):
she had the cutest little sheer shirt on, just sitting
with our sexy pos I said, oh she likes oh man.
Speaker 3 (43:48):
Oh yeah.
Speaker 2 (43:49):
I was like, oh, she like, you know, I'm not
as my homegirl. I And then, of course, some months
later she got a driver and security and she like,
can you take me home?
Speaker 3 (43:57):
You have a whole car.
Speaker 2 (43:58):
Why do you need this man to take you home?
He recognized it, but it was a struggle. I'm sure
it was a struggle. He'll never tell me it was
a struggle, but I know it was a struggle. When
you grow up as a little boy and you're just
excited to fill on a girl's booty in the fifth grade,
you know, when you get older, you're like, you're still
excited when a beautiful.
Speaker 3 (44:16):
Successful woman wants to every man? Am I lion?
Speaker 1 (44:20):
How was that boy?
Speaker 12 (44:22):
Matter?
Speaker 1 (44:23):
Just too much?
Speaker 10 (44:24):
Though?
Speaker 5 (44:24):
Right?
Speaker 10 (44:25):
Right?
Speaker 2 (44:25):
But what I'm saying is, ladies, you got to give
him some place to grow up. You can't be mad
that he has to grow up. My mother told me,
you are three years older than him, you've been engaged,
you've been a professional dater your whole life. Not really,
but you know what I'm saying. She was trying to
give me perspective. She said, you got to give him
a chance to grow up. That was not easy to do,
but when I did. I'm gonna be married twenty five
years next year. There are things that come with that.
(44:47):
If your heart can handle it, it can. If it cannot,
I don't know what to tell you, because it just
comes with marriage. And this doesn't always mean cheating or beating.
It just means maturity. It means learning to make a
lover or priority. It means a lo discipline. It means
you know, understanding structure of a family, and how do
I lead a guy that. There's so many things I've
been blessed to be around. Some beautiful man and also
(45:09):
some trash men. I don't think that they intended to
be trashed. I just think they didn't mature. They didn't
they weren't mentor towards, they weren't nurtured.
Speaker 3 (45:16):
And so, ladies, you gotta cut in some slack.
Speaker 2 (45:20):
I know some of y'all rolling, y'all, you don't know that.
I know, sister, I understand. But there are some good ones,
some great ones. Actually, they just need some patience and
some understanding. They need somebody to stand by the side
while they try to figure it out, because they're really
trying to figure it out, you know. And if you
grow up too fast, you got five kids, you ain't
got time for that. You got to find somebody who
figured it out already. But if you are one of
(45:40):
the younger ones, give some space for growth for you
and for him.
Speaker 4 (45:44):
For you.
Speaker 3 (45:44):
Not to love leading with fear, love, just hoping they
don't leave, love, just hoping they don't cheat. That's that's
too much pressure on your heart.
Speaker 1 (45:53):
Sis.
Speaker 2 (45:54):
Uh. Let's let's let's work on our hearts so we
really do have long lasting relationships. It's possible, y'all, it
really really is. I love you, and I mean it
the grip they're telling me off in their.
Speaker 4 (46:02):
Car, right, No, they laughing still, because fifth grade is
when you get your little nasty run and run.
Speaker 2 (46:14):
But now guess what they're doing. They're calling those kids,
they're giving them kids titles at school. They're calling them,
they're giving them bad titles, and I don't want to
say what it is, but that's what they're doing to
a little I think it's terrible that little kids can't
be little kids. Now you are literally labeling them as
they're a pedophile.
Speaker 3 (46:30):
It's too much. We'll talk about it later, y'all. Stick around.
We got more on the way. Don't worry. Girls, gonna
give you drending job and you'll be laughing soon. Take
a deep Brett or go to therapy. Get up morning, y'all.
Love you, and I mean it.
Speaker 6 (46:51):
If you're listening to get up. Find out what everybody's
talking about right now over the What is it? It's
trending topics up to the minute.
Speaker 3 (47:04):
All right, griff, you tell us what's trending today.
Speaker 4 (47:07):
Well, today we are voting, So bring your ID and
your patients and tell your kids that's over eighteen to
go vote today. It's not a lot of people to
vote for us. It's some of them commissioners in different districts.
But here's what I did this morning before I got
to work. I went and just put in Google view
(47:28):
a sample ballot for Georgia. So you can do view
sample ballot for California, for Texas, for wherever, and then
it'll show you who's on. I literally have two people
to vote for today, but I am going to go
vote for those two people. And Atlanta is having a
mayoral election. Andre Dickens is running again, but uh, Drake
(47:52):
gonna win. Let's let's say that out loud, in my
in my, in my county. In Douglas County, Tim Echos
is going against Alicia Johnson, and Fitz Johnson is going
against Hubbard. So it's really the incumbent Republican is going
against these up and coming Democrats. It's also day thirty
(48:13):
five of the government shut down. The government shut down
what James Massey called it. And I've just been asking people,
you know, how have you been making it through? And
my God, James Massey, him and Claudia Massy are married.
He and have an amazing relationship. He said, Man, we
got two words, and it's just God.
Speaker 1 (48:35):
Is it's just God?
Speaker 4 (48:37):
Is you know the government that people I've heard people say,
I don't work for the government. That don't have anything
to do with me. It has everything to do with you.
It has everything to do with you because somebody else.
I mean people might not. We might take it for
granted sometimes either we travel every weekend, right, and then
we in the airport twice a week. But tsy people
(49:00):
aren't getting paid. And these people it's like, you know what,
I've worked all week. I'm not coming to work for
free on Saturday and Sunday. Like I'm just not gonna
do it. So lines are longer, people are missing flights.
Oh you'll respect the government shut down immediately. And then
what I've been doing the TSA people asking them you
want something to.
Speaker 1 (49:20):
Drink, you want some food?
Speaker 4 (49:21):
Can I give you, you know, something to get And
they're like, oh, man, I appreciate it. So just be
kind y'all people out here going through even if it's
not you. And in his last feel good story, Sherry
Shepherd just got her star on the Walk of Fame
in Los Angeles. What a huge honor. She was surrounded
(49:42):
by friends. My homeboy Bonehampton, a comedian and friend of
hers over thirty years. He was there and I kind
of got to watch it vicariously through him, and Sherry
is so well deserving. I mean, doing comedy when you're
a comedian. And I watched her story talking about the
star before. She was like before, I ain't even have
(50:04):
nowhere to live, and I would just walk up and
down the street over here, looking at the names on
the on the ground and saying myself, one day, my
name is going to be on there. And then when
you achieved that, when God allows you to live long
enough to achieve that, that's the shout.
Speaker 1 (50:22):
That's the man.
