guess what they was already gonna be ignorant from the
beginning of time. God saw that, and he saw this.
Keep your eyes on him, not on them. Were so

focused on who did something wrong? We don't know how
to fully appreciate God's goodness. You've given some of the
praise and attention to what went wrong instead of just
giving God glory for what he did. Because he's good,
because he's great, because he's a mindful God, and a
thoughtful God, and a grateful God, I mean a gracious God.
We gotta stop making God petty. He's not a petty God.

He's not mad at the people that you are mad at,
because those are also his children too. It is the
enemy that we are upset with. You know why, the
same devil keep bothering you because you won't rebuke the devil,
you rebuke the person. So that same spirit that keep
attacking you and antagonizing you, making you feel rejected, carrying

block the enemy's plan in your life. You've got power

pray for me. Okay, So a long time ago, I
was having Tina's first baby shower for Lea at my house.
Right right before that, that week, me and Tina had

done this interview with this amazing young lady. I thought
she was really cool. We bonded really great, so I
invited her to the baby shower. When I invited her
to the baby shower, she was new, didn't know anybody,
so I wanted to introduce her to people. So I
kept going, Hey, this is my friend Teresa. Hey, this
is my friend Teresa. So she made her around the
room and shook hands and stuff, and she was sitting
with people and made new friends. And I was still

just hating my friend Teresa. So we went through the
whole baby shower. It was amazing. I did this wonderful
play pin theme in the backyard. Me and one had
a basketball court at that time. It was just it
was really really cute. And so at the end of
the day, people are leaving, We're all happy. I'm exhausted
from throwing an event, and we sit down at this
little spot right by my front door. We had this

big Spanish style house was beautiful, and I sit down
to her and I was like, I hope you had
a good time.

she had a look of concern on her face. Y'all

I just want to tell you that my name is

so confident and I just I just let you do

consequences happen. I know, we live in an era of grace,
and we believe in the grace of God.

We in the dispensation of grace.

I believe in it, I preach it, I wholeheartedly hold
on to it. But grace does not erase consequence. And
sometimes you gotta deal with what you did.

Oh Mama would tell me all the time. God forgives
the sin, but the consequence is yours. She is say
that all the time. You could take what it takes,
one choice to destroy your life, one bad choice.

Thank God for the grace behind you gotta live with
the residual of what you just did. Absolutely, absolutely, I
want to say, hype, but it's right.

what we need this kind of teaching, and it is
not to beat people up it's to give you what's real.
The enemy will trick you and deceive you, and you

of repentance like you're at the altar all the time for.

The same thing. Okay, that's gonna come back to haunt
you after a while. You're gonna forgive you, Jesus forgive
see forgetfulness. Yet the residual of what you've done is
a consequence.

Yeah, And you're asking God for more. You're asking God
to do things in your life, and your choices now
show that you're not ready for that. You're not responsible
enough with your faith, with yourself, with your money, with
your life to handle what He wants to give you,
because you keep making the same kinds of mistakes. I
promise y'all. We love y'all. You may not feel this,
don't feel like love what it is? All right, y'all.

of what happened to me, and yeah, you know, just
pray for me. Okay, So a long time ago, I
was having Tina's first baby shower for Lea at my house.
Right right before that, that week, me and Tina had

done this interview with this amazing young lady. I thought
she was really cool. We bonded really great, so I
invited her to the baby shower. When I invited her
to the baby shower, she was new, didn't know anybody,
so I wanted to introduce her to people. So I
kept going, Hey, this is my friend Teresa. Hey, this
is my friend Teresa. So she made her around the
room and shook hands and stuff, and she was sitting
with people and made new friends. And I was still

just hating my friend Teresa. So we went through the
whole baby shower. It was amazing. I did this wonderful
play pin theme in the backyard. Me and one had
a basketball court at that time. It was just it
was really really cute. And so at the end of
the day, people are leaving, We're all happy. I'm exhausted
from throwing an event, and we sit down at this
little spot right by my front door. We had this

big Spanish style house was beautiful, and I sit down
to her and I was like, I hope you had
a good time.

She said I did, and she was like, but.
Speaker 4 (19:33):
I got to tell you something. I said what, and
she had a look of concern on her face. Y'all
will never believe what this woman said to me. She said,
I just want to tell you that my name is
not Teresa. I said, I know you, Lyon, I know
you didn't just let me introduce you as Teresa all
day long. She was like, I know, but you were
so confident and I just I just let you do

it all day. But my name is Sally. Y'all, is
nowhere near Teresa.

Why did I call the lady? Why did I call
her ter? I don't know.

This story is still and she did not look she
looks like a Sally. Sally looks like Sally. And I
literally called that woman Teresa. All that, y'all, it still
makes me shame and my soul that that even happened
to me. So embarrassing things happened to all of us.
We're actually still friends to this day. And I actually
texted her and asked her, was it okay if I
told this story? But yes, that is my embarrassing Ericaism

to disappear and act weird.

pouring her support into Morgan State University. Now we talked
about it, the billionaire philanthropists announced a jaw dropping sixty
three million unrestricted gift to Morgan State, the school's largest
donation and her second major donation to the Baltimore HBCU

under five years. Add that to her historic forty million
contribution in twenty twenty and Scott's seventy million donation to
uncf's efforts to strengthen historically black cop and universities. We
talked about that story earlier this month. For Morgan State,
now the third largest historically black college or university in
the country, this isn't just another line and a fundraising effort.

Its validation of years of intentional growth bode leadership and
the kind of innovation that reimagining what black higher education
can look like in the twenty first century. Unlike many
