Although the Atlantic hurricane map is quiet for now, forecasters
warned that could change soon. Experts from Colorado State University
and WPLGTV say conditions are becoming more favorable for increased
storm activity in the coming weeks. Long range models are
already hinting at a possible uptick, signaling that hurricane season

may be about a heat. President Trump announced the new
baseline terror for foreign goods entering the US will start
at fifteen percent, that's the highest in decades. At an
AI summit, he said the rate could rise to fifty
percent for countries that do not open their markets to

coach and talking about his faith without being pastory.
Speaker 7 (04:20):
That's the key, because you can drown them out sometimes,
but man, I show them real, I tell them, and
then to really, you know, come back from the streets
where I came from, Griff, to show them how I
climb that mountain. You know, it's really illustrated for me,
to me to be honest with you, man, it's like
it's so like a perfect picture of who else could
(04:42):
have gotten me up off that floor. And then when
you walk with it, Griff every day, they see it
every day, you know, and sometimes you write. You can't
keep drowning them out with message, but just show them
you know what I mean, just walk it and then
they see it. Man, you can't. You can't miss God
when you see me because from where I came from
and then the words and how I live, and man,
(05:03):
I take pride in it. You know. I get up
every morning, get on my knees and just ask God,
Man got me, got me, and help me, help.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
Me, help your kids. You know what I mean, Grill,

Speaker 1 (05:57):
If you're listening to Get Up Eric Faith Walk.
Speaker 3 (06:04):
Right now?
Speaker 4 (06:05):
Amen, Yes, it is time for the Faith Walk other day.
And here's what I know about greatness. It doesn't usually
come in and tell you that it's great. When a
light comes on, it'll go Hey, I'm on And a
lot of times, uh, there's greatness in you, but it's
not fully developed, and soil you want to get there
faster than you are, so you go around announcing who
(06:28):
you are when you ain't even ready to be there yet.
Let it grow. Self promotion can be kind of ugly
sometimes when you overdo it and you pompous, and you arrogant,
and it's coming from a place of insecurity or rejection,
not being received.
Speaker 6 (06:42):
Well in your life.
Speaker 4 (06:43):
So now you feel like you have to overdo in
every room that you go in. Let God promote you.
The greatness is inside you. It was inside you when
you were born. It was already there, and so some
people will not recognize it. And guess what, you still great.
When Jesus walked the earth and they didn't know he
he was Jesus, he was still Jesus. When they rejected
him as Messiah and savior, he was still Jesus, Savior
(07:05):
of the world, creator of the universe. I want you
to be comfortable with you knowing that there's greatness inside
of you. You don't have to go on a campaign.
Hey do you think I'm great? Do you think I'm great?
How about you do you because sometimes they gonna say
mm hmm, And that's okay. You carry your greatness in
a way that when you go in the room, your
light shines, not you got a bullhorn telling everybody who
(07:26):
you are.
Speaker 6 (07:26):
Hey, you know who I am?
Speaker 4 (07:27):
You know, Hey, I'm I'm somebody agreed. Hey, I'm a
big deal. I've been around great people and I've never
seen him do that.
Speaker 7 (07:32):
In the room.
Speaker 6 (07:34):
I've been in the room with the likes of.
Speaker 4 (07:35):
Elton, John Gloria and Stefan, Oprah Winfrey, you name it.
I've been in the room with Halle Beart, the great.
They never walking around. Hey you know I'm great. You
don't want a big superstar, don't you. You don't have
to announce it. Let the work speak for itself. And
if you're not there yet, then just continue working toward
your greatness.
Speaker 6 (07:52):
Let God build that up in you. Guess what Jesus was.
Speaker 4 (07:55):
Jesus when he was born, he still didn't do but
three years of public minage street. But God was working
on him all along. God is developing you, God is
preparing you. He's getting you ready for that season and
that time and that day. No you're not late. No,
God didn't forget you. Your time is coming. Just walk
into your greatness. Walk into it. I just say, get
a bullhorn and go, hey, greatness coming over here. They'll
(08:17):
see it when you walk in, they'll recognize it in you.
Just live into it, all right, don't talk into it.
That is the faith walk for the day. There's greatness
in all of us, and God will get the glory
out of your life.
Speaker 6 (08:28):
All right, guys, that is the faith walk. Listen.
Speaker 4 (08:30):

Speaker 6 (13:26):
Lord have mercy.
Speaker 4 (13:27):
So when I left the Get Up Church on Friday, listen,
I had to prepare my mind because there were two
fruit two funerals that I had to do. One was
for mc light's mom, who was a member of our church,
was very faithful and a wonderful member of Constance Moore
was a member of our church. And so we were
there and my kids, who were trying to process seeing
(13:49):
all these celebrities come in, and they looked up and
Queen Latifa was walking past, Go excuse me, excuse me,
and sat right next to Wolsey. He slowly turned his
head to me and opened his mind. I was so big,
like mom. It was so funny, but it was a
beautiful service. Mc light loves the Lord.
Speaker 6 (14:08):
Do you love me. Do you hear me? She loves
the Lord. I left there and had to go to
a funeral for one of my dear cousins.
Speaker 4 (14:17):
His name was Richard Ware we called him Duke, and
was struggling with some things and was staying in a
homeless shelter and was just he was murdered, basically, that's
what it was. It was murdered, and so it's devastating
for the family because he was the one that was
a historian. He was a truck driver, so he would
go to everybody's house, so every cousin in every part
of the country had a personal relationship and story with him,
(14:39):
and so we called him the family historian because he
knew the Chicago family, and he knew the Connecticut family,
and he knew the Baton Rouge family, and he knew
who's auntie and who's cousins, and so he was always
helping the younger cousins know their family, and so it
was just really really tough. From there, I had to
get to Memphis. I went to the airport. I didn't
get to go to the repass. I went to the
airport and American is American Airlines pushed my flight from
(15:02):
two to four, to five, to six, to seven to
eight until I had to take another flight to get
me to Memphis. I had to take an overnight flight
with a layover. I landed literally at eight o'clock. Once
to the church, got dressed, and was there for their
nine am service. I had to sing twice, and so
I'm like, oh, gonna take me a flight and.
Speaker 6 (15:23):
Then get to Chicago.
Speaker 4 (15:24):
American did it again two o'clock, four o'clock, five o'clock, all.
Speaker 6 (15:29):
The way to eight o'clock. So leless to say, I'm
still in Memphis.
Speaker 4 (15:33):
That stressed me out, but you know, I take it
as an opportunity to be patient. So that's my weekend.
Y'all pray for me. I'm still so stressed, but I'm good.
Speaker 6 (15:40):
I'm here. I'm happy to be going to get up
church A grip. How was yours?
Speaker 3 (15:43):
Friday?
Speaker 9 (15:43):
Me?
Speaker 2 (15:44):
Tanya Lewis a small fire did a comedy show for
the National Point Marine Associations. They were celebrating sixty years.
They are the first black people in the marine, so
that was a big deal. Saturday, and I wanted to
see Superman again because the Aniga hadn't seen it. Then
I went to co let's go, and wanted to play
too much, but everybody was recognized me, and this little
(16:05):
girl said, hey, she was like Foreigner dance, said, I've
been listening to that guy on the radio since I
was your age. I liked it, and then I didn't.
But then I get in and then I saw O
nine BT Award with Mary Mary and Queen Lativa, and
I was like, why am I just now?
Speaker 3 (16:22):
I never saw it ever?
Speaker 6 (16:24):
You never saw that ever?
Speaker 15 (16:26):
Eryl?
Speaker 6 (16:26):
What about you?
Speaker 1 (16:27):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (16:27):
Couple's Fellowship this week? You know do I not do
couples ministries? So this time a couple in our church,
the Smiths, they hosted it for us and it was amazing.
They called it credit crabs and cutting the rug. So
we had a guy to talk about finances for us,
and of course we had crabs, and then we ended
with learning a new line dance and it was really
(16:48):
sob really good fun stuff.
Speaker 15 (16:58):
Get Up, Eric camal go theerism of the day on
Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell.
Speaker 4 (17:06):
Listen today, I want to talk about being chosen by God.
I heard this amazing message yesterday from doctor Barbara Bryant,
who is a supervisor in the Church of God in
Christ in Los Angeles. She was here in Memphis with
me and preached a message about being chosen from Ephesians
one and four, and it was just so powerful how
she just affirmed and affirmed that we are chosen by God,
(17:29):
and there was no process of elimination, and He chose
you in spite of you before you were born. He
chose you without even meeting you. Your enemies don't change
God's mind. It don't matter who accepts you. If you
are chosen by God. It's not a random case. You
are predestined. It's not an accident, not a last minute decision.
It was just so inencouraging to know that God has
(17:53):
chosen us.
Speaker 6 (17:55):
My question to you this morning is, so, how were
you do?
Speaker 4 (17:58):
What would you do with that choice? Will you say
yes to it? Will you allow yourself to be chosen?
Will you walk in that purpose that God has called
you to. Will you say yes to the fact that
He is a plan and purpose for your life? Or
will you be so busy looking at what's wrong you
don't recognize what's right. Here's the great thing about God
is I loves the big show. Don't you remember when
(18:19):
Elijah went up against the prophets of bail and they
were talking about they were bigger and better than their God.
And then they did their sacrifice and nothing happened. And
then God had this great, grand, amazing display of how
he consumed their sacrifice with the fire.
Speaker 6 (18:34):
I mean, look at it.
Speaker 4 (18:35):
It's always some big, amazing things that seems impossible. Yes,
God chose you. You're looking at what's difficult. My life
is this and I grew up like this and why
did this happen? And why that happened? Because God is
trying to do this big, amazing, wonderful thing in your life,
and you keep getting.
Speaker 6 (18:48):
Stuck on the problem.
Speaker 4 (18:50):
From the Red Sea to Daniel and the Lions, Dan
and the three Hebrew Boys. God wants to do something
great in your life. He chose you because he wants
to use you for his glory. What are you doing
about it? Are you saying yes Lord? Are you surrendering
yourself to God? Are you giving him everything that he
needs to get glory.
Speaker 6 (19:09):
Out of your life?
Speaker 4 (19:10):
Are you looking beyond the circumstances and realizing that God
is sovereign and can do exceeding abundantly above all you
can ask, think, or imagine?
Speaker 6 (19:17):
You are chosen. That spirit of rejection is a lie.
You're chosen.
Speaker 4 (19:22):
The spirit of feeling not enough. You are chosen. Even
with everything that you went through, God didn't leave you.
That's a part of your story, and maybe it's the
part that you don't like.
Speaker 7 (19:30):
It.
Speaker 4 (19:30):
Don't change the fact they did choose you. And so
I want you to walk in that. Say that to
yourself today, especially if you struggle with being loved and
being seen and trying to figure out why things have
just say I'm chosen by God.
Speaker 6 (19:41):
I'm loved by God.
Speaker 4 (19:42):
Jesus went to the cross because he loves you, and
that will supersede anything else. He wants to the cross
because he loved you. He wanted you to have a
way back to the Father. You can't work your way
back to the Father that Jesus did it on the cross.
You can't impress God with how awesome you are. Jesus
did it on the cross. He chose you, He loved you,
so he died for you. That is my rika ism
(20:03):
for the day. That thing encouraged my soul so good.
Krista happens to be with me here and she sang
with me a little bit, which was so so dope.
Speaker 6 (20:11):
And what I was really great about was that message
hit her heart.
Speaker 4 (20:14):
And I think that especially our young people nowadays need
to know that God loves them, that they are chosen
by God.
Speaker 6 (20:20):
Right, Niphi, that's just the basics.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
That's not even all the other stuff that comes with it,
like he loves you and he chose he died for you.
Just start there. That will that will get rid of
every lit at. The enemy told is telling you, well,
you don't have this and you don't have that.
Speaker 6 (20:33):
I don't care. I'm telling you by God. I'm loved
by God.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
He loves me, and He's gonna change my life because
I'm choosing him the way he chose me.
Speaker 6 (20:40):
It's get up mornings, y'all. Stick around. We've got the
joys and concerns up next.
Speaker 15 (20:47):
If you're listening to get up, Kim, that's a church
saying Amen.
Speaker 1 (20:55):
The time for concerns.
Speaker 6 (21:00):
I say, for the Most High God. We are coming
to belf and to get up Church of our Lord.
Speaker 4 (21:04):
Doctor's still un denomination of denomination of AMBC and me
papantree element of each app I felt the Church of
God in Christ all.
Speaker 1 (21:12):
Right, but the grip on you, thank you, virus.
Speaker 2 (21:14):
Lady Pastor, Yeah, I say happy birthday to my man
Dereck Pearson and shout out Nancy were mirrors from mcmaddame
McLeod heller last week. My joys and concerns was the problem,
and she gave me a penmanship page. Hilarious, but first
(21:34):
giving honor to God, lose ahead of my life. I
like to say, I'm glad to be in the hours
of the Lord one more time, elder girl, because he.
Speaker 3 (21:45):
Brought me from a mighty mighty long way. Nancy were mirrors.
I could have been dead, sleeping in the grave. But
God is good all the time and all the time.
Speaker 6 (21:59):
God is good, yes, yes, and he.
Speaker 3 (22:02):
Also make a lean and ju lotters. That's all I'm
gonna say. I'm surrounded by people who love Mexican quiz,
so I'm good. I'm concerned this morning, y'all. I'm concerned.
I'm concerned that I'm handy. I'm concerned.
Speaker 2 (22:20):
I'm a whole handy man, uiryl, I'm a handy man.
Speaker 3 (22:24):
I used remember I used to be like, I ain't handy.
My hands a soft I don't do nothing.
Speaker 10 (22:28):
I can't man.
Speaker 3 (22:30):
I went to Lows to go buy some lights.
Speaker 1 (22:33):
Hold on.
Speaker 3 (22:33):
Not only did I go to Low's, I went.
Speaker 2 (22:36):
To Lows and went to the isle where the lights
was without asking nobody.
Speaker 1 (22:40):
I ain't even say.
Speaker 2 (22:41):
Excuse me, I'm trying to look for the lights. I
just walked in bustle left when I'm thirty eight because
I know. And then they was like, hey, Gren, what's
going I'm living, you know, for getting lights. I lined
my driveway with solar lights so you can see like
when you come. Basically, yeah, beanos, basically I need a
(23:03):
man at the end of my lights with two long
orange cones in his hands, like the airplanes when they
come from When that's there's how many lights that counted?
Speaker 1 (23:13):
My druck man. That's all I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
Now, somebody in that guard's day grip you got that
many lights?
Speaker 3 (23:23):
It ain't that many, but it's that ain't your points?
Speaker 2 (23:26):
You can say any all right, somebody else a.

Speaker 4 (25:51):
On July fourth, the Trump administration implemented several changes to
student loans through the One Big Beautiful Bill. The changes
have left borrow and their families confused about what next
steps they should take. Our money expert den I Thorton
is here to explain the changes. What can we do
to prepare for Good morning, Jane.
Speaker 10 (26:11):
Good morning, good morning, Happy money Monday.
Speaker 6 (26:13):
Happy money Monday. Okay, so let's help some students.
Speaker 4 (26:16):
What are five key changes to student loans as a
results of the Big budget bill.
Speaker 10 (26:21):
Okay, Erica, here a few things to highlight. Number one,
let me start with the good news. The pail grant
can now actually be used for workforce training certificate programs.
Even at isn't that good news? I'm super excited about
Number two. Borrowers who are on any sort of income
driven repayment plan, more than likely their payments will begin
(26:43):
to increase. Three, they have set a lifetime borrowing limit
for undergraduate and graduate students. That lifetime limit is two
hundred and fifty seven thousand dollars. I hope people aren't
borrowing more than that anyway. There's a crazy amount of
money good borrow to go to. Four Now, there's actually
a limit of what parents can borrow too, that is
(27:06):
up to twenty thousand dollars a year with a lifetime
total of sixty five thousand dollars per student. And then
last and this is going to create a lot of
problems for some folks. Deferment. You know how people have
a financial hardshare. Guess what they are getting doing away
with those four parents programs or limiting the amount of
(27:28):
time that people can have lower payments when they're experiencing
financial hardship.
Speaker 2 (27:35):
Janni, how will graduate students be impacted by all those changes?
Speaker 3 (27:38):
People? That's done with it?
Speaker 10 (27:41):
Well listen, well, you know graduate students now also will
have new loan limits and which may make it a
little bit more difficult for them to attend, particularly the
price there graduate schools. But Chris, let me just say something.
If loans are the only way students are going to
college undergrad or grants, to me, you already have a problem.
(28:04):
So the fact that they're setting a limit, I think
we need a limits because we are borrowing too much
for students to school. So I think we potentially need
to be looking at cheaper schools and we need to
be more proactive about getting scholarships to be able to
pay for school. You know, buy a house that you
can't afford, so we should not be paying for an
(28:26):
education that we cannot afford.
Speaker 6 (28:28):
Wow, well, thank you for that. I appreciate that.
Speaker 4 (28:31):
Okay, So how can borrow a set up of repayment
plans after the current plans have phased out?
Speaker 10 (28:37):
Now? I think this part Erica is what's going to
be most confusing because people have different income based repayment pinions.
Now a lot of those are actually going to be
phased out in twenty twenty six, and now people are
literally going to have to reapply for those and so
it's really important that the listeners are paying attention because
(29:00):
they do not want to fall through the cracks, you know,
they do not want to get behind or get into default.
So although you may have been approved for a point,
you're literally going to have to reapply and go through
the process again. So please stay in touch with their
lenders and pay attention to the news as well to
make sure they're clear when they need to be applying.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
Very nice, we're talking to our finance and legacy experts.

Speaker 15 (29:57):
If you're listening to Get Up Erica Cambo, It's time
to wake up and win with Doctor Willie Jolly.
Speaker 1 (30:06):
Erica Campbell it's another great day.
Speaker 17 (30:14):
This is doctor Willie Jolly, author of the book A
Setback as a setup for a comeback, and it is
now comeback time. We know that faith is a substance
of things hopeful and the evidence of things not seeing.
Yet we often forget that faith is not just a now,
but it is also a verb. In other words, it
is a concept that denotes action. In order to turn
(30:34):
your setbacks into incredible comebacks, you not only have to
have faith, but you also have to move and act
faithfully and act in faith. You will have setbacks that
will knock you to the canvas. Now you must faith
your way off the canvas and faith your way on
to win. And keep this in mind that faith is
(30:54):
like a muscle, and the more you use it and
move in faith, the stronger you'll get in your faith
had the bigger the muscle will become, and the mountains
you will be able to move will be bigger as well.
Speaker 1 (31:05):
This is doctor Willie Jolly. Look go to win with
Willie dot com. Win with Willye dot com.
Speaker 17 (31:10):
For resources to help you win more, and remember your
best is yet to come.

Speaker 6 (31:16):
I'm so excited, really because I got through and I.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Can exactly get a pool of morning.

Voyage the twenty twenty five Tom joining Fantastic Void set

Speaker 3 (31:30):
Five years and marry married. Book you Gavin now.
Speaker 2 (31:33):
At f V two zero two five dot com or
called two one four four nine five nineteen sixty three.
Speaker 6 (31:41):
All right, Cheryl, what's this topic for today?
Speaker 4 (31:43):
Let me tell you the gospel music has been in
an uproar. Gospel music industry has been up in an
uproar since the latest episode of Isaac Karee's show was released.
Record executive Norman Johnfey was his special guest, and he
really says some disturbing things. I mean, some things he
said was true for let's let's just get that out.
But one comment that has the industry and an uproar
(32:06):
is him talking about streaming statistics. He said, based on
these statistics, people want worship music, and no one wants
to hear choirs of quartet or gospel. No one wants
that demand because streaming numbers are really really high for
worship music. But we know that's not true because gospel
gospel has a diverse sound, and your preference might be worship,
(32:28):
or your preference might be contemporary or traditional, or choir
or quartet, But that's no reason to ignore the other
sounds of gospel music. So that's why I think everybody
one reason. It's a number of things he said, but
that's one reason I think people have been in an.
Speaker 6 (32:44):
Uproar because gospel is not one sound.
Speaker 4 (32:47):
It's not one sound, and to some people, gospel music
is our lifeline. Like when you can't think of a
prayer to utter, you put on a song that takes
you to you know, to the play where you really
need to go in Christ or something you're listening to.
We how many testimonies have you? Myself and Griff or
anybody in radio have heard that. You know, I listened
(33:08):
to your voice, or I heard something on the radio,
a song that encouraged my heart, that got me through something.
So I really hate that we're trying to reduce it
to this one sound that.
Speaker 6 (33:18):
I love, rushing music. I love.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
I love all forms of gospel music like me, every
single one of them. I love every form of it
I do, and you're right, it is because it's my
lifestyle and it's my lifeline. So I say all that
to say, you know, our get up poll today is
what style of gospel music do you prefer?
Speaker 6 (33:36):
Let's talk about it.
Speaker 2 (33:37):
You know.
Speaker 6 (33:38):
I know for me, well, you know a griff, you
go first, you go first, I you.
Speaker 3 (33:43):
Know, not ergant.
Speaker 18 (33:46):
This y'all's uh yeah, you my dog in the fight,
like you know what I'm saying like that, you literally
my dog in the fight when I all I know
is what you tell me about the business.
Speaker 2 (34:00):
And even on the vintage Vault days when I don't
know the people, you guys be putting me on games.
So you know, Cheryl puts it in a system, you
sing it.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
What's your thoughts? You know?
Speaker 7 (34:12):
It was.
Speaker 6 (34:13):
It was an interesting, troubling, insightful you can make you
mad a little bit. It was very, very it was.
I think everybody should pay attention to it.
Speaker 4 (34:26):
I think that when we have conversations like this, we
should pay attention to it right for a number of reasons.
One knowing what executives are like and how they think too.
I'm really paying attention to the numbers, really and also
paying attention to areas where we need to grow to
get the gospel out to the world because that's what
gospel music is supposed to do, right, It's supposed to
reach the four corners of the earth and encourage people
(34:47):
to know Jesus. And whether that is a choir or
a quartet, whether that is jazz, whether it's more laid back,
because now there's this new kind of research.
Speaker 6 (34:56):
Time R and B sound well I call. I don't
know if it's it's R and B, but it's it's
it's just more chill.
Speaker 4 (35:03):
It's it's reflective from where this kind of new church
culture is. And I think that God can use it
all right, but we have to be wise and understand.
But what I want to know from the Get Up
Church is what is your What is your preferred style
of gospel music?
Speaker 6 (35:17):
Do you like choirs more?
Speaker 4 (35:18):
Do you like worship CCM? Are you more of an
urban kind of style? You know, there are a lot
of different styles. What is your preference of gospel music?
Speaker 5 (35:27):
Me?
Speaker 4 (35:27):
If it's talk about Jesus and it's good lyrics and
good production, I'm good.
Speaker 6 (35:31):
But we want to know what you think.
Speaker 4 (35:32):
Get Up Church eight seven seventeen for two two four
two six Do people only want CCM?
Speaker 6 (35:37):
Or debates too of traditional gospel music? Let's get Up mornings.
Speaker 15 (35:41):
If you're listening to Get Up with Erica Cambacher, you've
heard from us.
Speaker 6 (35:47):
I'm excitedly because I got through and.
Speaker 1 (35:53):
All right.
Speaker 4 (35:54):
Today we are talking about gospel music. What is your
preferred style of gospel music? That was a big conversation
within the gospel community that's happening right now about a
podcast with Isaac Karee and Norman Jimfi about CCM versus
gospel and he said, gospels did and people don't like
it anymore.
Speaker 6 (36:12):
They only like CCM. But we wanted to.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
Bring the conversation to you asking what is your favorite
style of gospel music?
Speaker 6 (36:19):
Listen, y'all.
Speaker 4 (36:19):
There will always be people with opinions, and that is okay.
We are entitled to have those. You like what you like,
you listen, You enjoy what you enjoy. But I want
to see what the gift of church has to see.
Let's Joy in Virginia's on the line. Hey, Joy, tell
us what's Sean?
Speaker 6 (36:36):
My bad? Sean and Virginia, what style of gospel music
do you like most?
Speaker 11 (36:40):
I would actually go into contemporary, and I'm not sure
tell you the truth. As far as you know, Mary,
Mary and the Kirk Franklins. I'm not even sure which
category that fits into, So if that category could be named,
I would actually recognize that category as my second.
Speaker 6 (36:55):
Nice thank you for Colin.
Speaker 1 (36:57):
Thank y'all keep doing the great work.
Speaker 4 (36:59):
Rose Brooklyn is online. Hey Rose, what style of gospel music.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
Do you like?
Speaker 6 (37:03):
That morning? Appreciate your God so much, but I love
all the music and like you said, as long as
you're talking about Jesus.
Speaker 4 (37:12):
I love it.
Speaker 10 (37:13):
But gospeok nothing, you.
Speaker 6 (37:15):
Can never talk.
Speaker 4 (37:16):
Well, I'm glad you're listening. Have a good day, Rose, great,
great y'all.
Speaker 6 (37:19):
Cooch a.
Speaker 2 (37:21):
Two four two six. It's time for the get up all.
Let's go to d C where they listen to us
on praise one on four point one, Tony, what style
of gospel music do you like?
Speaker 4 (37:33):
Hi?
Speaker 10 (37:34):
Griff Erica sterlees DC in the house.
Speaker 9 (37:37):
But I like I had to yeah, yeah, I had
to call because it was really like, I feel like
I like all possible music. And I say that because
it's all praising God.
Speaker 10 (37:48):
It's all giving him the glory.
Speaker 6 (37:50):
Like Erica said it.
Speaker 10 (37:51):
A little bit towards the end, it's all giving him.
Speaker 6 (37:54):
Why do we have to.
Speaker 9 (37:54):
Put a specific title you know what I mean. Why
do we have to break it down like that. We
are all praising God. It doesn't say in the Bible
we have to praise God and her away. Like I
heard one guy last week on your post talking about Beyonce.
Why is it wrong that she's praising God in her way?
We are praising God and lifting up God. You know,
I think it's a lot of times there's a trick
of the enemy that want us to keep performing to
(38:16):
the ways of the world and now renewing our minds
and we're still performing, saying we should do it this way.
We're supposed to pray God this way. No, we're praising
God and we're giving him the glory.
Speaker 10 (38:26):
And I just had to call because it's really touching.
Speaker 9 (38:28):
Hi'm like, we want we're praising God.
Speaker 6 (38:30):
So I like always like, I want to make.
Speaker 9 (38:32):
A gospel rap album one day.
Speaker 10 (38:35):
So that's all.
Speaker 6 (38:39):
You got some bars you want to spend for us
real quick?
Speaker 10 (38:43):
Yeah, because one thing I'm dropping.
Speaker 9 (38:45):
I'm launching a production company in Las Vegas. Okay, Okay,
wrap Father God, I love you so much. We're gonna
praise you in any any style we want. I'm gonna

Speaker 9 (39:04):
I love you so much, thank you for saving God.
Speaker 6 (39:08):
Waby. We're gonna run this okay, all right, have a
good one, Thank you God by okay, bye bye.
Speaker 9 (39:23):
I love.
Speaker 6 (39:25):
Grim I actually rep you can't tell her she ain't sweet?
Speaker 1 (39:28):
You okay? Was that sweet?
Speaker 18 (39:33):
Gave her an empression like God.
Speaker 4 (39:39):
I love it. I like her expression. I mean she
expressed with us. Thank y'all for calling. We love to
get up church. Y'all keep listening to get up morning
for me.
Speaker 6 (39:48):
Clearly want to beat y'all. You love God. You good morning.
Get poll. Let's get up morning as America can. But
loving Jesus and loving you.
Speaker 4 (40:03):
All right, guys, it is one minute past the top
of the hour, Monday, July the twenty eighth. I guys,
coming up eleven minutes after the hour, I'll have my
love talk of the day.
Speaker 6 (40:14):
Is love enough? Is the question?
Speaker 4 (40:15):
Plus share all out the trending topics, and Griff will
have the quick sports minute.
Speaker 6 (40:18):
Y'all listen, don't forget.
Speaker 4 (40:20):
They will know we are Christians by our love, by
how we love other people. That's how they will know.
That you are Christian. Not what you said, but how
you treat people. Remember that we got great music on
the way from Kirk Franklin, Jaquelein Karr, and Rashan Mitchell.
Here's Marvin sapperth he was there.
Speaker 6 (40:37):
I get up morning.
Speaker 1 (40:38):
Let's talk about love for God. So love the world, y'all,
love talk morning.
Speaker 4 (40:44):
Yes, it is time for the love talk of the day,
and today I want to be honest with y'all. This
honesty ain't gonna feel real good, but I want to
tell you that love is not enough. Love without communication,
love without patience is not enough. I know plenty of
people who I'm sure they loved each other, my mama
and daddy included, but the way they communicated was not
(41:08):
the best. When you have a talker and a non talker,
what should happen is y'all should balance each other out.
When you have a big personality and a shy personality,
you should learn from each other and grow from each other.
But if you just love and you don't learn from
one another, and you're not patient in that learning process,
it won't work. When you love someone and you are
great with finance and they are not, it does not
(41:31):
mean that you can't be together, but it takes time
to develop those things that allow you to see each
other's It is impossible when you don't see each other's
qualities and you only see it as an attack on
how you are.
Speaker 9 (41:45):
Well.
Speaker 6 (41:45):
I don't operate like that.
Speaker 4 (41:47):
And you can one hundred percent love this person, And
that's really where most of the heartbreak comes in, because
you love them, but you're not able to learn how
to communicate with them or understand. Then everything is not anger,
everything is not toxic. Sometimes it's just new to you.
Speaker 6 (42:02):
I understand.
Speaker 4 (42:02):
I remember the season where I just felt like me
and Warren were total opposite.
Speaker 6 (42:07):
We were not opposite. We just did a few things
the same.
Speaker 4 (42:10):
So we had to have patience and understanding and appreciation
for his qualities and mind and learn how to blend.
How do we become one? The Bible the violes say
and the two shall become one. Becoming one is not easy.
You have to be sewn together, stitched together, stick together,
you know what I mean. You have to be pressed
together in order for it to work. And those things
(42:31):
don't sound very comfortable, do they. But we feel like
love should just be because she get comfortable and one
time wonderful, and sometimes it's uncomfortable because I love you.
I'm a stick around and try to figure out what's
going on because we're different, and different is not bad.
And so I want you to understand and say to yourself,
love is not enough.
Speaker 6 (42:48):
What else do I need? How patient do I need
to be? What am I am? I a good listener?
Do I know how to pray for you without judging you?
Speaker 1 (42:55):
Do?
Speaker 6 (42:55):
I take everything personal. There's just a lot of different things.
Speaker 4 (42:57):
To ask for those of you who love love and
you feel like it's running from you, it's not. It's
just more layers of work that's needed. But here's what
I love about God. God gives you the strength to
do it if you ask him for it. He gives
you the strength to learn what it means to be
in covenant relationship. Not just marriting together, not just sleeping together,
not just living together, but in covenant together, cover it
(43:19):
and praying for one another, building life and legacy.
Speaker 6 (43:22):
It takes more than just love. All right, I love
you and I mean it. That's the love talk of
the day. Y'all. Stick around. We've got the trending topics
up next. I'll get up morning.
Speaker 1 (43:39):
