It is an awful feeling being a fan of a
team that ain't a fan of youth. That's all I'm
gonna say. How about that it was better college football
going on. Georgia Southern beat Appalachian State twenty five to

Speaker 7 (05:21):
If you're listening to Get Up Faith Walk.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Right now, am faith. Yes, it is time for the
faith Walk of the day on this fabulous Friday. And Uh,
there's a song that they used to sing. It's also
a scripture that the words of my mouth and the
meditations of my heart be acceptable in thy sight, Oh Lord,
my strength, my Redeemer. And I think we talk about
(05:48):
giving God our heart, the meditations, the word of your
mouth and the meditations of your heart. That means giving
Jesus the soul of you, all of you, everything inside
of you, everything that may you you, giving that to
Jesus Christ. Let the words of my mouth, what I say,
the meditations of my heart, what I feel inside, what
I think inside, what I ponder inside, what I struggle
(06:10):
with inside, I give all of that to Jesus. I
think a lot of people wait to come to Jesus
because they wait until they're ready, or if they've cleaned
up themselves a little bit. And he never asked you
to do that. Just bring all of yourself everything, with
all the questions, the hurt, the pain, the good and bad,
all of it. You can bring all of yourself to Jesus.
I promise you. The Cross can cover it. I promise
(06:31):
you the Cross can handle it. There is nothing about
you that God says, ooh, that's too much, I can't
handle it. There is no question that you have. Even
your anger, you can bring that to the Father as well,
because he's got so much love. Your anger even changes
when he gets in his presence. Why because he's God
like that. So yes, I want us to learn that
scripture and say it and quote it. Let the words
(06:52):
of my mouth, what I say, what I do, and
the meditations of my heart, what I think, what I feel,
all of who I am be acceptable in thy sight?
Is God pleased with what we say and think? Is
God pleased with our actions? Is God pleased? Is when
you have your questions and your things that you have,
do you make those thoughts come subject to who God is?
(07:13):
Or you just random kind of out here. Listen, I'm
not judging you if you are, but I'm saying you
can still bring all of that to Jesus. You know that, right.
So if I have a negative thought, that negative thought
still has to become subject to what God said. So
if I believe I can, I have to tell myself
that the Word says I can do all things through
Christ that gives me strengths. That's the hard things, that's
the low things, that's the high things, that's all of it.
I can do it all through Christ that gives me strength.
(07:35):
So make sure that the words of your mouth and
the meditations of your heart are literally acceptable in the
sight of Jesus. That's my faith. Walk of the day.
I love you and I mean it all. Right, y'all
stick around. We got more on the way. The birthdays

Speaker 6 (12:40):
The word word the words word Friday. That's your word.
Speaker 8 (12:44):
Go for here and now morning.
Speaker 1 (12:48):
Yes, it's side of the fresh Word. And here is
a message from Pastor Travis Green, a Forward City church
in Columbia, South Carolina. His message is planted on Purpose.
It's rest the double be the devil? Can I just
talk for a moment?
Speaker 15 (13:01):
I believe it disturbs me the most is when the
church bashed the church.
Speaker 1 (13:04):
I'm gonna tell you the number one comment I hate.
But something go on. See that's why I'm going to
church right now. How weak?
Speaker 16 (13:11):
No you don't go to church because you don't want
to go to church. How many McDonald's have you been through?
That mess up your order? But yet you still go eating?
Makeing eave I just want go.
Speaker 15 (13:21):
To that one, but I gotta have my big map.
But the church, the local church, is the bride of Christ.
So you can't pling to love God and hate his bride.
Speaker 1 (13:29):
That's like saying, Travis, I can.
Speaker 15 (13:30):
Do you all day, but Jackie, let me tell you
how that's.
Speaker 1 (13:33):
Gonna go for you. I'm gonnahit the mark and i'ma.
Speaker 15 (13:35):
Tell you to get the step and you and your kids,
you know, everybody get out of here.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
What did we talk about?
Speaker 15 (13:39):
And yet we say I love you Jesus, I just
can't do church. Really, we are his bride. Jesus asked
him three times, Hey, Peter, do you love me?
Speaker 1 (13:49):
He says, of course.
Speaker 2 (13:50):
Man.
Speaker 17 (13:50):
By the third time he's like getting in this philisir.
He's like, come on, man, you nor I love you,
he says, if you love me, see my she listen
to me. Ladies and gentlemen. The proof that you love
God is that you hate what he hates and love
what he loves.
Speaker 15 (14:04):
He loved his church, Paul says, husbands, love your wives
as Christ loved his church to. So in this series,
we're going to expose and debut the life that the
local church is optional for an effective believer. Now you
could be a believer and not be connected, but you
won't be effective. But the reason we think the local
church is optional is because, like Jonah, many of us
(14:27):
are a little bit shady.
Speaker 2 (14:28):
Ooh, I mean I love to shoot that at the
end there.
Speaker 1 (14:34):
Just a little bit, a little bit yeah. And I
say that all the time, like you didn't go because
you didn't want to go. Because basketball players love hanging
around black basketball players. Rappers gonna hang around other rappers.
Doctors gonna hang around other doctors. If you're a believer
and you hate all believers, you have a question. Do
I really love what I say? I love because especially
as a believer, as a person of faith, I love
other people who love Jesus. Don't let the enemy trick
(14:56):
you and tell you can't. Oh yeah, I could do
it perfectly, and I can't. I don't have to be
around other church people. Even Jesus was around other believers.
Come on, e, So come on, where you get that from?
Twelve disciples and some of them was trash and they
were still disciples. So if you love the Lord, crash
right up, Judas Man, right up. It served a purpose.
(15:17):
But you know, Tom has spent all this time doubting them,
you know, just they were regular guys, and so the
church is filled regular people. But we still are all
people of God and should love one another. That's the
fresh word. Thank you, Travis. We appreciate you. All right, guys,
stick around, We got more on the ways. Get up morning.
Speaker 7 (15:44):
If you're listening to get up.
Speaker 14 (15:47):

Speaker 14 (16:00):
When the dress trauma doesn't go away in marriage, it
gets a roommate, ooh that's good.
Speaker 7 (16:05):
Amy.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Marriage won't heal you. He'll expose what still needs healing.
Speaker 14 (16:09):
And you can't build a covenant on top of a
wound and expect it not to believe. Your partner isn't
your therapist, they're not your parents, and they're not your patch.
If you carry unprocessed pain into a relationship, don't be
surprised when your triggers turn into patterns and those patterns
turn into problems. Healing is your responsibility before love becomes
(16:31):
your reality. You don't need perfection to get married, but
you do need awareness. Now let me see you shine.
Speaker 1 (16:39):
There you go.
Speaker 14 (16:41):
Don't stop on one gym, grab the whole treasure chest
on a Dear Future Wifey podcast available everywhere. Podcast from
Power by the Urban one podcast network.
Speaker 1 (16:51):
Er of the Day or Get Up Mornings with I
Get People. It is time for the erica Ism of
the day, y'all. Let me tell you an area of
struggle with me. Okay, let me confess, y'all, scroll and
be tearing me up. I'm telling you. In my life,
I'll be focusing, yes, Instagram, text messages, emails, responding, remembering something.
(17:18):
My phone is the devil sometimes, but I have to
remember to not let it steal my time.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
Now.
Speaker 1 (17:24):
While I don't get a bunch of notifications, it's just
stuff that I know is in my phone that I
need to attend to. And sometimes especially when it's time
for me to get ready to go to bed, and
I go, oh, just let me do the oh I forgot?
Let me send a text me, Oh, let me ask
I got a meeting. I mean, it's always something and
I have to remember to put it down because the
world will not stop if you don't send that message.
(17:45):
The world will not stop if you don't respond to
that text. The world will not stop if you don't
scroll a little bit and find out who said what
on what page and what your social media person needs
to post on your page. Oh it is horrible, and listen,
and I use mine for work, but some of you
it is just the randomness, y'all. I'm gonna telling my
mom a little bit, and y'all been not telling if
that lady, send me one more posts from YouTube or
(18:07):
something good or a good hack. Mama, all don't need
no more hacks of how to put the cacking in
my bathtub. I'm not doing that in the first place,
Like y'all, it'd be stilling your time. And you don't
know what. We're not talking to real people, We're not
doing real things. And while the information is, you know,
kind of good, is it necessary? Does it move me
(18:29):
forward today? Is it helpful for my life and my
right now? You know, we on there buying stuff and
saving recipes and wing I'll never cook, and you know,
doing makeover things dy projects that you ain't gonna never do.
Buying y'all, let's stop letting our phones steal our lives.
We've got too much to do, too many people to
(18:49):
talk to in real life. Your phone is not the
safe space. It's not. And so I think as we
learn to put the phone down and have real conversations
at tables or a little bit like Griff, when you
get in the car with somebody, talk to them. You
on a plane, talk to people. There's a whole world
out here, and we are trapped in the fake version.
Your phone is the fake it's not the real world.
Job these things that we say, this information of bad
(19:12):
news that's being pumped to you, making you scared that
you sitting there. Everybody, don't go to the gas station
because it is don't go to this parking lot because
it is. Don't do this because it is. Don't you
go here because of that. Don't eat this because this
is plastic. Don't eat this because oh Lord Jesus, just fear, fear, fear,
Put your phone down and live. Yes, let's put our
phones down and live and create and talk and me
(19:35):
because go outside, get a passport, see the world. Come on,
did you really talking to yourself? I kind of am
don't let and as much as I do, I still
be picking up my fam You're like uh uh uh uh,
you're not still in my life. How many hours do
you pick up your phone? Check it out? Just ask yourself,
how many hours you online? How many hours you on Facebook?
(19:56):
Look us even if you just listen to the messages
all day. Okay, you gotta listen to the message. Just yeah,
but eventually put the phone down and apply the message.
Live out the message. Do the message right. The things
that you saw Jesus do, go out and do. Don't
just go pass it to somebody else another post. Okay
with the post, let's live it, let's do it, let's
be it. All right. That is the ericaism for the day.
Phones down, all right, y'all, stick around. We've got the
(20:18):
joins and concerns up next, don't get up mornings, wake
up and pray right here, Get up morning.
Speaker 7 (20:33):
If you're listening to get up, let the church say Amen.
Speaker 1 (20:41):
The time for joys and concerns. Well, say to the
Most High God, we are coming to you live from
the get up Church of our Lord. Back the cost
of nine denominational, denominational A MME C and me E
G element O p at Parcela Church of Garden.
Speaker 2 (20:55):
Gross all right, brother good, got the Lord usual, thank
you very lady, pass there always and I missed that,
and for some reason I was talking to you. I
think I was talking to you on a cruise and
I said something, and I really was waiting for you
to say that right like you got that kind of
(21:16):
time in your life, be playing with me in front
eight people anyway, First, giving honor to God, who's ahead
of my life. I like to say, I'm glad to
be in the house of the Lord one more time,
an elder Sheryl way here here sound, because he brought
(21:37):
me from a mighty, mighty long way.
Speaker 6 (21:40):
Since every I could have been dead, sleeping in the grave.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
But God is good all the time and all the times.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
God is good.
Speaker 2 (21:50):
Yes, yes, ladies and gentlemen. I'm gonna just go ahead
and say this right now. And maybe it's too early,
but is it we three weeks away from from Thanksgiving? Yeah,
we're three weeks away from Thanksgiving. And the question in
my house was going with the back and forth. The
back and forthness in my house is when do we
(22:13):
put up Christmas stuff?
Speaker 1 (22:15):
Now?
Speaker 2 (22:16):
To see down there now, every guy ain't gonna lie.
I before I met Lanika, Christmas was just we probably
did Christmas on the fifteenth of December, trying to you know,
get the house to either the little kids running around.
We was not about that. But Lanika is built different.
Come on, this family is about that life. So she
(22:38):
is like, you, let's do it now. I'm like, hey,
what can we appreciate the murdering and the killings of
all the Native Americans first before we we recognize, recognize
what these white men did to the people first before?
And she was like, yeah, but Thanksgiving just it's the family.
It's so she wanted to know she want to.
Speaker 6 (23:00):
Do next week for real? Now?
Speaker 1 (23:03):

Speaker 2 (23:18):
Lenika, do you you can start today? Yes, about to
fix the house. This is gonna be our first Christmas
in our first new house.
Speaker 1 (23:25):
How about that go hard?
Speaker 15 (23:27):
Now?
Speaker 2 (23:27):
I'm on somebody in that house saying, yeah, let's eat
the turkey before we not you wasn't listening, you can say,
ain't all right?
Speaker 1 (23:36):
Somebody else saying I'm.
Speaker 2 (23:37):
With La Niga we should start to day good you
get saying all right, but if you like me, and
you know, I ain't got no choice. I don't even
know why I'm trying to pretend on the radio that
I'm hard like it's all about Aniga Christmas, So babe,
do you And I'm just gonna say hey, when you
doing it, I'm.
Speaker 1 (23:58):
Trying to think, like for real. It was like, don't
leave us at don't leave me out y'all. Keep I said, Christy,
you live in Atlanta, Hunty. Oh, she's still try to
she's trying to.
Speaker 2 (24:08):

Speaker 2 (25:07):
The Class Fault.
Speaker 1 (25:11):
We're taking you back to two thousand and four from
the Life record from My Good Friend, Past the Tide
tribute and GA with No Way on Get Up Mornings.
We're inside the Vintage Vault and that was Tied Tribute
with No Way. Now here's another one from the same record.
It's My Joy featuring Past the John p Key on
(25:32):
Get Up Mornings. Wow from the Vintage Vault. That's Tied
tribute and GA with My Joy Ti Tribus. First record
was produced by the importance of the roofs, so his
first introduction to the gospel community came within the neo
soul sound And can you believe that this record was
introduced twenty one years ago. I remember going to the
(25:56):
Victory recording, y'all. My life would change was changed by
that recording. I was already a fan. We had done
a song together on the Prince of Egypt soundtrack called
Let Go Let God, and that has a whole story
behind it, But I've been a Tie Tribute fan from
day one? What about you, Griff.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
I got hipped my girl Micah from Richmond, rich City.
She let me hear Fresh from twenty ten and I
was I was like, where have I been.
Speaker 8 (26:27):
My whole life?
Speaker 2 (26:28):
Who's this dude?
Speaker 6 (26:29):
I am?
Speaker 2 (26:30):
Why am I? But you know me and gospel music.
I had to learn it. It's funny because I had
to learn it such a different way, not knowing these
people and knowing that they played at this church and
all that. I had to learn it like encyclopedia, old school.
I love it, Trivin. Now let me go read all
his books. Like so, I'm a fan and just a
(26:51):
fan fan. And you know that only one night though album.
Speaker 1 (26:54):
To be out, absolutely so much great music. We're honoring
this first one. But listen, do yourself a favor and

Eventually you walk and on your way to running.
Speaker 18 (28:19):
I am saying to you right now that you might
have fallen in your quest to live your dreams, but
I am encouraging you to try again and keep trying,
get back up and keep trying until you are up
and running and if you fall, get back up again
and again and again until you reach your goal.

can do this, so do it now. This is doctor
