Sybil's back with what we need to know today? Good morning, Sybil.
It's Sybil Wilkes with what we need to know. US
Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rawlins threatened to cut off SNAP funding
to twenty one Democratic leaning states that she says are
refusing to share food stamp data with the Trump administration.
Rollin stole President Trump. The funding freeze could begin next week.
(02:39):
While New York Governor Kathy Hokle blasted the move, asking
why the administration is held bent.

like California, New York, and Minnesota have not. One student
was killed and another critically wounded in a shooting Tuesday

(03:10):
and the suspect has been taken into custody and identified.
Officials report no ongoing threat to the campus community. Following
the shooting, near the Whitney m Young Junior Hall. Holiday
shoppers ordering from overseas may face unexpected tariff fills this
year due to a Trump administration policy change that now
applies tariffs and custom spees to low value packages once
(03:34):
exempt from such charges. With US holiday sales expected to
surpass one trillion dollars and online spending projector to hit

the impact could be widespread for shoppers and retailers alike.

in the NBA the Knicks over the Raptors one seventeen

seventeen to one oh eight.
Speaker 1 (04:54):
And I just found.
Speaker 5 (04:55):
Out that all the bowls in college football have been announced.

Speaker 2 (06:04):
If you're listening to Get Up, Camble Faith Walk.
Speaker 1 (06:11):
Right now, a man, faith.
Speaker 4 (06:12):
Walk, all right, It's time for the faith walk of
the day. And I love the scripture that talks about
Jesus leaving the ninety nine going after the one soul.
And I wonder how often we've gone after, We've reached
for someone who has gone astray, who we haven't seen
in a while, someone who left fellowship, someone who you
(06:35):
follow on social media and you see what they posted
and you going some man, quite right?
Speaker 1 (06:40):
How often do we reach for the lost?
Speaker 4 (06:43):
How often are we intentionally loving someone that may have
fallen out of fellowship. I think that it should be
a part of our regular practice as believers. I think
you know that sometimes in our practice we may talk
about them, post about them, get in the group text
and say you know so and so on what's going on?
I don't know anybody heard from up Well, maybe it's
time to reach out. Maybe it's time to reach out
(07:06):
for that lost one, you know, it's it's it's unfortunate
that in our world today we can have a season
of people missing of all ages, right, and some the
police are on some it's a family, neighborhood. But the
church needs to join in that search too. How many
souls have just stopped coming to church? How many people?
(07:27):
How many doors do we not going?
Speaker 6 (07:28):
They?
Speaker 1 (07:28):
Do we even do that anymore? You know? What is
this new version of witnessing?
Speaker 4 (07:34):
What?
Speaker 1 (07:35):
What are we building? What are we trying our best
to do?
Speaker 4 (07:37):
Because if our job is to reach the loss, it
means everybody's not coming in the door. Sometimes you have
to go where they are. Sometimes that's in them all,
just asking somebody do they know Jesus loves them? Sometimes
that's in the airport, on the on the airport train
down under the airport in Atlanta, asking somebody do they
know Jesus. I've done that before. How are we reaching
(07:57):
out to the lost? You don't know what people are
going through and how life hurts, And sometimes just a
call sometimes just to visit.
Speaker 1 (08:05):
Maybe it is a post. I don't know. But how
intentional are you about reaching out to people? That's our job.
That's my challenge to you today.
Speaker 4 (08:13):
Reach out to somebody that you haven't heard from, that
you really loved and had a relationship with, you just
simply haven't heard from them.
Speaker 1 (08:19):
Reach out. Somebody needs to hear from you.
Speaker 4 (08:22):
Somebody needs to know that there's someone thinking about them
and someone cares. All right, that's our job as believers,
So let's do it. That is the faith walk of
the day. Ladies and gentlemen. Now it is birthday shout
out time eight seven seven two four two two four

wonderful Wednesday, decend it the tenth. All right, guys, coming
up this hour, get my life together? Well do you
know this is Erica is serious? Greer Wednesday?

I was like, tell you in this holy place right
in his serious home.

he'll be silly again at the end of the Joy's concerned.

Don't worry, don't worry. You hits a laugh, you hit
the laugh.

Are you serious?
Speaker 1 (13:33):
It's real? I tell you. I love this dude. He's
so awesome. Love you so much, all right, mister Griffith,
serious grip.
Speaker 5 (13:42):
So I just want you guys to concentrate on this
one Bible verse first. That's alone Hens five sixteen through eighteen.
I'm gonna just read it in a bunch of versions.
King James version says, rejoice evermore, pray with our ceasing
and everything, give things, for this is the will of
God and Christ Jesus concerning you, maybe don't really understand
(14:04):
that way, let me read it in the message. Be
cheerful no matter what, Pray all the time, thank God,
no matter what.
Speaker 1 (14:14):
Happens.
Speaker 5 (14:15):
This is the way God wants you who belong to
Jesus Christ to live. I'm also do to amplify because
that blesses me. Well, here's a different one. American Standard
version says, rejoice always, pray without seizing everything, give thanks
for this is the will of God and Christ Jesus
that you ward and the amplified Bible.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
And I'm a fan of this one.
Speaker 5 (14:40):
Rejoice always and delight in your faith. Be unceasing and
persistent in prayer in every situation, no matter what the circumstances.
Be thankful and continually give thanks to God for this
is the will of God for you and Christ Jesus. Now,
everybody in the car and everybody at home. Did you
hear from that? That's what my therapist says, you have
(15:02):
to say when you talk to somebody. What I hear
you saying is what I hear myself staying and reading
is be happy in your faith.
Speaker 1 (15:12):
Be happy that you have faith. You already you already
been through it. Think about what you did.
Speaker 5 (15:17):
Think about what God has already done for you, and
start getting happy about that, and don't stop playing.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
That's what the enemy like us to do. He like
us to have one bad day, I believe.
Speaker 5 (15:29):
Is eighty two thousand, four hundred seconds eighty two thousand,
four hundred seconds in the day, and you let somebody
in it. Yeah, I'll add it up properly, but I'm
almost positively that's what it's around.
Speaker 1 (15:42):
That much.
Speaker 5 (15:43):
You let somebody mess with your day, but thirty one
seconds at the bad register and you just keep that
all day, and you come on, man, we gotta thank God.
We gotta be happy that we are faithful because you
have faith and do everything because you have faith. You
could say, you know what, I got fired, But watch
(16:05):
me get a better job. Watch me get a job
that nobody ever seen. Watch this next job, give me
more money. And I'm not even qualified to bake like
you gotta have that kind of faith. Oh I got
laid off, But watch the job that I'm about to owe.
My car, just my I don't have a car right now.
Watch the car God about.
Speaker 1 (16:24):
To give me.
Speaker 5 (16:26):
See it in your mind, be driving in it. I'm
on the bus right now. But who watch when I
get this car, it's gonna be red. You gotta see it.
Be rejoicing your faith that you already have. The lady
called the other day, and she said that the doctors
and everybody said that they could not have a baby,
and she was seven months pregnant. Two days ago, Sheryl
(16:50):
went through the same thing. They told her she couldn't
have a baby, and her eye un hung out with
her daughter five, six, seven times. And when you have
that kind of you can't tell Ryl what a doctor said.
She don't believe. She can't believe. They also told me
I can't have a kid, and I just did her
hair a couple of days ago. Like, you have to
(17:13):
have a faith that's beyond you know that God is
working it out. And yes it is hard and sometimes
you go through, but you gotta know this is just
a man. When I come out of this, I'm about
to be sweet. That's my mister Griffin.
Speaker 1 (17:27):
I love that.
Speaker 4 (17:28):
That's what you call big faith. Listen, I do it
all the time. Gonna make it out on this flight.
I said, you not gonna make it.
Speaker 1 (17:36):
Because I'm on this flight.
Speaker 4 (17:37):
Because I'm on this flight, we are gonna make You're
gonna be okay, come on, putting your doubt on me.
I'm gonna put my faith on you. About that comes
stick around the Erica is some other day is on
the way.
Speaker 1 (17:49):
Guys, if you're listening to Get Up of the Day
on Get Up Mornings with Erica Cabo, let me.
Speaker 4 (18:04):
Tell you something that is super super cute. A kid
with confidence. Man, when they come in there with their
little outfits on, and they got a helmet and then
feathers on the back, and then they put jamas on
the back and they shirt is a little dirty, but they.
Speaker 1 (18:18):
Come in feeling like thiks up and they jamming.
Speaker 4 (18:20):
I think it is the cutest thing when kids come
in confident and they cook you something and it's horrible,
but they're so happy.
Speaker 1 (18:28):
Mommy, I cooked for you.
Speaker 4 (18:30):
The kid confidence is like a superpower. They think they
could be superheroes. They they you know, just all the things.
When you see those little kid programs, it's a few
of them going around on social media and the kid
is just dancing and moving the little cute, quirky dance.
It's kid confidence. I wonder how you would operate if
(18:50):
you had kid confidence. If you walked in the office
knowing that what you had was amazing, that you didn't
come in with low self esteem, that you didn't come
in saying.
Speaker 1 (19:00):
You're busy, I don't want to bother you because who
told you you or bother? That's my kid confidence.
Speaker 4 (19:05):
Kids don't think they're bothering you. They're gonna come in
the kitchen. They're gonna come in when you're sleeping, and
you could be in the bathroom on the toilet. They
don't care. They got something to say, and they got
kid confidence. Everybody wants to hear what I have to say.
That's how kids into the room. Somewhere along the way
life tells us that what we have isn't that valuable.
Somewhere along the way, someone something makes us make excuses
(19:26):
even to speak to somebody.
Speaker 1 (19:28):
I don't like.
Speaker 4 (19:29):
I love my supporters and fans and believers, but I
don't like when y'all do that.
Speaker 1 (19:33):
I know you're busy. I know you probably don't want
to talk to me. Who told you? I don't want
to talk to you? Let me tell you if I
don't have time to talk. But don't you come up
and tell me?
Speaker 5 (19:42):
You know?
Speaker 4 (19:42):
I know you probably you probably get this all the time.
I don't get loved from people like y'a don't get
your story. I think it's wonderful when a person shares
their story I often tell people, especially airports restaurants, if
they approach me like that, Listen, I know you're busy.
Speaker 1 (19:54):
I know you're trying to hide. I'm not trying to hide.
I don't want to be outside. I want to be outside.
I's never had on because I like my head.
Speaker 4 (20:02):
But when you approach trying to give the love because
you've loved the music or whatever you want to do,
it's a different heart posture. When you walk in the
room believing that what you have will change the room,
you walk in with a different confidence.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
And I want you to have confidence. Now, Listen, don't
be concerned with how they respond. They may not get it.
I always tell myself, I'm amazing. They just don't know it.
Speaker 4 (20:22):
If I try to sign on for an agency and
they say, well, you're not really what we're looking for.
We're not really in the business of faith. Based what
I've heard all the things, I'll go, I'm amazing. They
just don't know it, right, You know what I mean?
When I went to the stellars and the times that
I don't when I go I don't win this time,
but I'm a winner, you know what I mean? Have
that kid confidence. Take that with you everywhere you go. Oh,
(20:42):
I hope I don't look funny. I've seen people, beautiful
people on the red carpet, so insecure. Now they call
in your name, taking pictures of you, and you just
pat and wondering, guessing, questioning. Oh I hope, I'm enough, man,
Get that LLC out of here. Low self esteem, that's
what grip cross. Get you some kid confidence. I don't
care if you do look crazy. I'm beautiful with my unmatching.
(21:04):
Didn't call my hair self. I don't have to make
up on man. I'm just I'm beautiful. Man, walk in
the room knowing you deserve to beat it that somebody
in that room is gonna be blessed because you're in
the room. Make sure that you have that kind of
confidence that doesn't stop you from being the best version
of yourself.
Speaker 1 (21:18):
Far too many of us walk in this insecure thing.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
Listen.
Speaker 4 (21:22):
People don't want to be bothered. Listen, there are some
people that don't want to be bothered. But in my opinion,
I have something amazing for you, and you're gonna be
happy when I tell you about it.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
And if you don't, you missed out.
Speaker 4 (21:32):
I'm not gonna stop talking I'm not gonna stop sharing
the gospel. I'm not gonna stop being a light. I'm
not gonna stop singing. I'm not I'm gonna keep going
because God gave it to me. If God gave it
to me, that means it's going to meet its mark.
It's going to get to the place where it will
be used, where it will be a benefit to somebody.
So walking kid, confidence, That's what I want you to
do today.
Speaker 1 (21:52):
All right.
Speaker 4 (21:52):
That is my rikai ism of the day. Y'all love
you and I mean it in confidence. Be crazy, they
don't care.
Speaker 1 (22:00):
Shame shoes with some snotty nose jokes that ain't joking. Man, musty, musty,
It's get up morning, se y'all stick around. We got
more on the way.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
If you're listening to get up with Erica Camp got
to church. Say amen.
Speaker 1 (22:23):
Next time for joys and concerns.

(23:03):
the God who's ahead of my life. I'd like to say,
I'm glad to be in the house of the Lord
one more time.
Speaker 1 (23:10):
Elder girl.
Speaker 5 (23:12):
He brought me from a mighty, mighty long way, Pastor Rutherbird.
Speaker 1 (23:16):
I could have been dead, sleeping in the grave.
Speaker 8 (23:20):
But God is good all the time, all the time.
Speaker 5 (23:24):
Yes, yes, I'm in the awesome capital of our country, Washington,
d C.
Speaker 1 (23:31):
Actually Willi and Silver Spring, Maryland. But tonight then it's
over the DC line. Yeah, I know.
Speaker 5 (23:37):
This afternoon then for people to you know, somebody in
Raleigh is going way ahead Maryland.
Speaker 1 (23:43):
I flew into b WI. I didn't even flood. We
flew into d C.
Speaker 5 (23:47):
B Willis, Ladies and gentlemen, that is a she flew
into Virginia anyway, dns A the galus.
Speaker 1 (23:57):
I know.
Speaker 5 (23:57):
That's why I was trying to that so to that
this afternoon, after we get over air, I'm gonna get
me a couple hours and then I'm hosting a retirement
party a brother who has worked in the DC government
for twenty seven years.
Speaker 1 (24:12):
He is retiring.
Speaker 5 (24:14):
His name is Gerard Louis Brown, and I know I'm
saying your whole government named Gerard. But he is affectionately
known as d c's Ratman. Now, when I got the
invitation to do comedy at Disney Van, I thought rat
was an acronym.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
You know, this is DC, so everything the dot, THEP
d E. I you know, I thought it was.
Speaker 5 (24:37):
But he is the actual man that exterminates the rats
and has been the real rats and Georgia Avenue by
Howard rats Night for the last twenty seven years. So
I can't they bigger than cat? They little pitbulls, they
little bullies, them little bullies.
Speaker 1 (24:55):
Yeah, look at you.
Speaker 5 (24:56):
Let me thank you all that somebody from DC saying
he ain't get Oh, you're just saying you all right,
somebody I was saying, but what about over here on
Rhode Island, right, he is retiring, ladies, gummen. But I know, ton,
I'm gonna find out what's the biggest rat he ever
got in. I'm screaming, let's know, Gerard rad Man, right me, bye,
(25:24):
b bye, Typer.
Speaker 1 (25:26):
That's who he is. The d the last time you
saw good rap respect. What was you in New Yorker?
Let me tell you I went New York for September.
Speaker 11 (25:37):
Yeah.
Speaker 1 (25:37):
These rats in d C. They come out like people.
They got little they'd be wearing mad this hoodies. What's up?
Young trying to go to school? And Joe stick around
(25:59):
his by the way, Get.
Speaker 4 (26:00):
Up morning.
Speaker 1 (26:03):
If you're listening to get.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
Good morning and people, let's get up Morning's America Campbell
Love and Jesus in Loving You want a wonderful Wednesday,
December the tenth top of the hour, All coming up
this hour, Wake up and when with Doctor Willie Jolly
his message the Twelve Days of Christmas, Day one, the
Gift of Self Confidence. Also our personal legal counsel, Judge
Melody Armstrong is joining us today, so don't miss that.
(26:26):
Plus music on the way from Rudy Currents, Tamala Man
and Kirk Franklin. Here is Josh Josh Copeland, Josh Copland
my eyes, kind of what happens Josh Copeland with nobody
but Jesus.
Speaker 1 (26:41):
On get up morning like Joe, Get up morning?
Speaker 4 (26:44):
Hello, Gay, all right, family, Judge Melody Armstrong is back
and she's here to discuss a few things, including loss
to protect us in AI executive orders versus new legislation,
and so much more. Welcome back, Jed Mellow, great to
be bad, Thanks for having me, and thanks for what
you guys do on this show. Absolutely okay. So so
(27:06):
many people are afraid of AI. What are the latest
laws to protect us?
Speaker 6 (27:10):
Many of the bots are wrong Erica nearly sixty percent.
And when using AI for shopping, some businesses are excluded
in the search results and from competition, and many of
your listeners have businesses right, And then the data can
be anglocentric and culturally unaware. And then you have tech
giants like Amazon, Google Meta. They use many resources, including
(27:32):
us GRIFF to help them grow and kill competition and
to stop the laws to protect us. So we need
laws for antitrust and to protect against incorrect data like
face recognition, which is especially.
Speaker 8 (27:44):
Serious when it comes to criminal cases. You notice how
AI often charms you and says you're always right and
tells you how great thou art. We need right, so
we need protection from the.
Speaker 6 (27:56):
Bots saying with folk, especially stressed and lonely folks, want
to hear, which it leads to danger and self carm.
Speaker 8 (28:04):
So we need the laws, and there's good news. There's
an executive order and a bill.
Speaker 6 (28:08):
There was one to keep states from enforcing their own
AI protection laws, but that has been put on hold.
Speaker 8 (28:14):
We've got to keep pressing for better laws.
Speaker 1 (28:16):
Thank you so much for that.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
Speaking of executive orders, how is the president using them
when he sees so few laws coming out of Congress.
Speaker 8 (28:24):
Comparing to recent presidents.
Speaker 6 (28:26):
Biden had one hundred and seventy executive orders in four years,
Obama about two seventy five and eight years.
Speaker 8 (28:33):
Trump two hundred and seventeen in eleven months. He's using them.
Speaker 6 (28:38):
More than others to direct actions outside of the laws,
and constant use can meet inability to play well with
others to make policy and legislation. And so you've had
some proclamations and executive orders that have lasted across presidencies
and have been helpful. George Washington started a day of
thanks to occur in late Thanksgiving. Guys, we've been enjoying
(28:59):
Thanksgiving of a sense. Lincoln used it to free the slaves,
Truman desegregated the military, and Kennedy he used to telling
government contractors to take quote affirmative action against employment discrimination.
So with executive orders, if Congress makes no laws for
or against it, Griff, and if it's not overruled by
(29:19):
a court, as the Supremes did with affirmative action, as
you remember, then it can be undone by another president's pen.
Because one president's treasure is another's trash.
Speaker 8 (29:30):
And so if you can't get laws passed through Congress,
that's why you see so many executive orders.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
Before we go, there are some legal matters that you
say could put folk on the naughty or NiFe lists here, yes, so.
Speaker 8 (29:41):
Think of the t one of these on Trump's big
payback tour.
Speaker 6 (29:44):
A grand jury refused to reindicite Attorney General Letitia James.
Speaker 8 (29:48):
That's one.
Speaker 6 (29:49):
A federal employee chose to go hungry, protest and throw
his subway sandwich.
Speaker 8 (29:54):
With mustard and onions, according to the officer at a.
Speaker 6 (29:57):
Border patrol guy in DC, but the jury refus used
to convict him. Trump's executive order two weeks ago, guys
undoes Biden's executive order. And now I'm sad to say
airlines no longer compensate passengers for certain flight delays. What it? Yeah,
so that might be on your naughty list, Erica. And finally, Church,
(30:18):
the Montgomery bus boycott. It started one December, it ended
the next.
Speaker 8 (30:22):
With desired results. They didn't wait on the courts.
Speaker 6 (30:26):
So every December, let us be encouraged by a legacy
of patience and long term and effective organization for impactful.
Speaker 8 (30:33):
And lasting change. That's all I have. Have a sation,
lovely holiday.
Speaker 4 (30:37):
Wow, such great information. Thank you so much Judge Mellow
for dropping by. All Right, family, stick around, Wake up
and win with Doctor Willie Jolly is up next to them.

got you all right, all right, we got to share
(32:41):
some news before we get to the get up.
Speaker 1 (32:43):
And one more time on the share Okay, I got
it right here, right here, sir. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (32:55):
Leave cooking trending topics brought to you by Todd No
the get up, Oh yes, brought you by Tide. Leave
cooking stains in the past with Todd Boosted, which leaves colors,
clothes brighter, cleaner and fresher versus tied. Simply, if it's
got to be clean, it's got to be tied.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
All right, now, what are we talking about today?
Speaker 5 (33:16):
All right?
Speaker 1 (33:16):
You know people do some bizarre things on the plane.
Speaker 4 (33:20):
Right, recently a coffee lover took it upon himself to
make a cup of expresso thirty five thousand feet in
the air in a TikTok video that has two million views. Now,
everybody was talking about this on talk television, you know
what I mean.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
And I was like, what in the world.
Speaker 4 (33:36):
He had the coffee beans, he grind the coffee beans,
he had water, he had a portable expresso machine and
made his own coffee from his seat.
Speaker 1 (33:45):
But of course espresso is really strong. So now you
got a.
Speaker 4 (33:48):
Whole plane, you got the wholes smelling like coffee. So
the comments is what a lot of people were talking about, right, So,
you know, everything from e television to Good Morning Ma,
everybody was talking about how you know, this guy done stuff.
And then they started talking about things that people bizarre
stuff people do on a plane. And I said, this
would be a great get up poll because you got
(34:10):
folk that does the whole eating.
Speaker 1 (34:12):
Crabs and see pants put the silver pants. Yes, she
had in her las.
Speaker 4 (34:18):
In her last and so now you got the whole plane.
And I get real conscious about even like eating a
sandwich or whatever. Now in first class, you don't usually
have those issues. But why you say unconscious because you hungry?
Speaker 1 (34:30):
Yeah?
Speaker 4 (34:30):
Yeah, but you don't want it to be like you
don't want to be eating like chitlings. You know you
don't want to be eating like said.
Speaker 5 (34:36):
Nigga had a sandwich and she didn't eat it, and
she said, well, I didn't want to bother.
Speaker 1 (34:41):
I said, then you wasn't hungry.
Speaker 4 (34:43):
And I don't mind like eating a sandwich sandwich, but
I'm going to be mindful of what if you eat.
Speaker 1 (34:48):
Don't mind to tell you, ma'am, don't eat that by me? Yeah,
I would not like to smell your chiplings.
Speaker 5 (34:53):
Yeah, I would not like I wouldn't either, But I
can't say don't eat your food.
Speaker 4 (34:58):
But I can't tell you put that away because it's
in my better not tell because it's in your nose.
Look at him, grip. I'll fight you right now while
you put your eyebrows down.
Speaker 5 (35:06):
What does it have?
Speaker 1 (35:07):
Too much strength in your voice? Young man?
Speaker 4 (35:08):
This is turning into something else. No, I had an
eye was on a plane and I heard this lady scream.
This lady let her cat out because she didn't want
to be in the back and the cat was walking
through people's legs. See it's stuff like that. The lady
that tried to bring a peacock on the plane.
Speaker 5 (35:27):
Yesterday at the airport dead. I just saying, we're not
gonna let you bring your emotional pets. And to be
a dog or a cat to be in the thing,
absolutely not.
Speaker 1 (35:37):
The emotional fish is an emotional but even the big
big dogs, like where do you put them? Put it?
I mean she got a big dog.
Speaker 5 (35:48):
They was coming on with cane corsos and not marma
dukes what they called.
Speaker 4 (35:52):
Uh what marmaduke? That means my feet has because your
dog is laying across. I don't know anyway. The bizarre
stuff in first classes that they always look at you
like you don't belong here. That's every time before the
plane take off. I'm going, I'm it's some of the bizarreness.
(36:13):
Eight seven seven two two two four six. What have
you witnessed that was bizarre on a plane? Eight seven
seven two four two two four two six I'm so
excited about what these people are falling tell us.
Speaker 1 (36:24):
Or a greyhound bus.
Speaker 5 (36:25):
If you've recently been on a greyhound bus, that's a
whole another level one bizarre.
Speaker 1 (36:30):
Right, If you're listening to get up.
Speaker 8 (36:34):
Erica Kim, you heard from us, I'm because I got through.
Speaker 4 (36:43):
Morning. All right, guys, we want to hear your bizarre
stories from flying. I know some crazy stuff. Well listen,
I got a million stories, but we want to do yours.
Speaker 1 (36:52):
Let's talk to.
Speaker 4 (36:53):
Angela in North Carolina. Hey, Angela, what bizarre thing has
happened to you?
Speaker 1 (36:57):
On a plane?
Speaker 3 (36:58):
On the plane going to Fantastic Bards in October, young
lady decided she couldn't get She wasn't gonna fly. We
had taxis all the way turned around, she yelling and
tearing on it, acting the food.
Speaker 8 (37:11):
Oh maybe, behind us says no.
Speaker 3 (37:14):
The reason that you can't get on this plane, because
the reason you can't fly is because you need something
to eat.
Speaker 1 (37:24):
He's too skinny. We had to go tack durn. Yes, Lord,
did you make the tom Johnny Crue? Yes, I got
to say.
Speaker 3 (37:33):
I got to see he's.
Speaker 4 (37:34):
Got Oh, thank you for calling Angela. Take care behind
Rohan from Mount Vernon is on the line. Hey, Rohan,
what's the most bizarre thing you've seen on the plane?
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Money? Earnie some more with the morning wake up Clever
mo on anybody. Well, Actually, when I was twelve years
old and.
Speaker 12 (37:52):
I took a flight out to Miami, and I was
getting to get up to go get my luggage under
the backsacks on them my mother was gonna put into.
All of a sudden, my stomach started rumbling and my
head started getting swung like a big balloon, and I
grabbed my mouth to try to run to the bathroom,
and all I seen was people in the aisles talking
in all different languages.
Speaker 1 (38:13):
I guess that I mean to get out the way.
Speaker 5 (38:14):
He's about to throw up, and that you the most bizarree.
Speaker 1 (38:20):
No, No, I mean I was starting to get to
the bathroom, but everybody was talking to the language.
Speaker 12 (38:25):
And I guess that mean get out the way he
got to.
Speaker 3 (38:27):
Go in and.
Speaker 1 (38:29):
Nah, oh god, yeah, he's the most you are.
Speaker 5 (38:35):
Then I'm sorry for anybody eating their breakfast right now.
Speaker 1 (38:39):
I apologize. I thank you for calling. All right, Well
there it is there.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
I don't have time to tell you about the time
me and teen got arrested on the plane. This casus
pretty tell you, y'all, I need to know now. Asian
couple just didn't like the fact that we were in
first class in May. When we got off, he was like,
those are two yep? Lock him up and they took
us to the jail in Milwaukee Airport. And another black
(39:08):
couple came and said they didn't do anything wrong. Please
let these girl stuff and then other stuff. Good morning,
Get people to get up born as America can.
Speaker 1 (39:21):
But loving Jesus and loving you all right to you,
how y'all feeling well after you made us take.
Speaker 5 (39:28):
Shots rash, feeling stronger and wiser, more clear?
Speaker 1 (39:33):
You gonna remember everything?
Speaker 4 (39:35):
Wait?
Speaker 1 (39:36):
Where's the bottle? You threw it away? I just threw
it away. It's called magic mind. It's something that I
take for energy.
Speaker 4 (39:41):
I gave shrill. It's delicious. It wasn't energy stuff. It's
for your mind or clearer mind that tastes.
Speaker 1 (39:52):
Smarter. I just got smarter. You feel it, okay? Oh God,
you make me sick. Squ I think that was that
was really really good. But I think it was because
of the magic mind. And I gave her. Ye know,
I'm smarter and I read better. Come on, Marvi Seth,
I'm strong up. Come alright, guys, coming up this hour
(40:15):
eleven minutes.
Speaker 4 (40:16):
We'll have I Love Talk, We'll have trending topics and
the Quick Sports Minute. Mary Mary Jamain and Dolly Mariah
carried this hour. Here's Dante bow with grateful on. Get
up warning, find out.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
What everybody's talking about right now. Take it over the web.
Speaker 6 (40:33):
What is it?
Speaker 1 (40:34):
It's trending topics up to the minute. All right, Cheryl
tell us what's trending?
Speaker 4 (40:38):
Absolutely so I love this one because I've been following
Chanelle Jones. We talked about her from the Today Show
where her husband passed away. Well, she's just got a
new assignment on the Today Show. She's gonna be with
Jenna and friends. So she is the hot of copy's position.
Speaker 1 (40:54):
That's a huge, isn't it big? Yeah? Left, Yeah, yeah,
she's been gone. She come now you've been going to
She's been good for men.
Speaker 4 (41:04):
But but but the whole time, they never filled her seat.
She just would have guests coming in right, just feeling so.
So they gave Chanel the seat And I love that
because I like her. I've been watching her since she's
been doing the Today Show on the weekends, and then
she got the one. All her friends came yes, yes, yeah,
ok yes and talked about her them being her village.
Speaker 1 (41:25):
So yeah, so she's just been assigned to that. I
love that. And she looked like us, so okay, but
that's great because you know.
Speaker 4 (41:34):
Morning TV a lot of times don't really you know,
choose us, right, which is how Tameron got her own
show because it was, you know, the different things she
was dealing with at the Today Show.
Speaker 1 (41:44):
But I love to see this happening for Chanelle. So yeah,
all right.
Speaker 4 (41:48):
Also, here's another one a television thumbs up. Jimmy Kimmel
will remain on ABC longer than originally playing, securing a
one year extension that locks him into hosting The Jimmy
Kimmel Live Show through May twenty twenty seven. Right, because
remember they were trying to end his contract this year.
They tried to do it abruptly.
Speaker 1 (42:09):
Stuff. Yeah, subscriptions slow down, Yeah, let's talk to him
about the mistake.
Speaker 4 (42:17):
Yeah yeah, yeah, folks start pulling their money and it
spoke volumes. So I love this, and so now his
contract has been extended through twenty twenty seven, and so yeah,
a lot of great stuff happening, and I.
Speaker 1 (42:30):
Wanted to talk about talking about succession.
Speaker 4 (42:33):
Jonathan Evans was commissioned as new pastor of the Mega
Church with doctor Tony Evans delivering the message that happened
on the seventh and his installation took place and sound.
So now he is the official pastor of Oak Cliff
Oak Cliff Baptist Church. Now what I love about this
is that even you know the legends and the pillars
(42:56):
of our faith, they know when to retire. Some people
die into position and their position church dies. Yeah, no one, yeah, yeah,
So I love that, you know. He it was an
incident where he sat himself down. Doctor Evans was like,
I wasn't proud of what I did, and so I
need to sit down. And during that time, Jonathan was
stepping in and he was pastoring then and so young son,
(43:19):
the youngest son. Yeah yeah, yeah yeah. But they're all
preaching powerhouses. I literally are, even though even though.
Speaker 1 (43:28):
Anthony doesn't claim to be a preacher, he's very preacher always.
You wanted to stand that lane.
Speaker 4 (43:38):
But but I love this and we love their family
of your personal friends with them and just seeing how
God is going to continue the legacy is really awesome
to see. All right, that's what's trending. Griff, You're up
next with a Sports Minute Sports Thanks, Cheryl. I Hate
the Homies is out right now. Make sure you check
(44:00):
on our podcast. And a lot of things happened yesterday.
Let me tell you about Major League Baseball.
Speaker 5 (44:05):
The Chicago White Sox had the number one pick in
twenty twenty six because the worst season this year.
Speaker 1 (44:11):
Don't be mad at him. That's a big deal.
Speaker 5 (44:13):
In the NBA, the Knicks over the Raptors one seventeen
to one oh one. They're actually going to the semi
finals of the NBA Cup in Las Vegas. Orlando beat
the Miami Heat won seventeen to one o eight. But
I wanted to tell you guys about these cool college
football bowls that are coming up December nineteen. Kennesaw State
(44:33):
with my daughter Jamison is the true freshman. They're taking
on Western Michigan in a Myrtle Beach Bowl, and Kennesaw
State just won the conference championship last week. Georgia Tech
versus BYU and the Pop Tars Bowl and Erica.
Speaker 1 (44:48):
You gonna love this.
Speaker 5 (44:50):
University of Miami of Ohio plays Fresno State and the
Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowls sponsored by Snoop Dogg Doctor Dre
Jenny Juice.
Speaker 4 (45:00):
Okay that my son actually played on this team when
he was about five years.
Speaker 1 (45:04):
Oh of the Snoop Joe Joe.
Speaker 5 (45:07):
Wait, that's it, I'm Griff. That's your Quick Sports min

Clarke Duncan was also born today, and I've got a

and a few more birthdays. We got more great gospel music.
I promise you may hear something that will change your life.

and we are at the end of our time. We
gotta go, y'all. I know I wish we could stay lost, but.
Speaker 1 (46:02):
We gotta go. So Cheryl Griffin, what'd you love about
the show today? Man? I always love the mister Griffin.
You know what I mean? Having big faith is what
he was talking about today. And you know what the
scripture that he read.
Speaker 4 (46:12):
I always say to people, if you want to know
the will of God concerning you, you always said, what
is God's will for me? Give? Thanks is what the
scripture says, give and all and all things. Yeah, so
that was really really good. And Judge Mellow always gives
us the tea breaks it down so we understand what's
happening in our in our legal systems, for sure.
Speaker 1 (46:33):
I love you have kid confidence. Yeah, kids are they are?
Speaker 5 (46:40):
I like when they be the shirt be wrong, they feed,
be on the wrong feed, ready to go out, and
they're right there standing there, Come on with your shoes
and they're like, what, just look down, you know I'm ready.
Speaker 4 (46:56):
But I love an adult with kid confidence yet very
special out in the world and they walking around like
you can't tell them nothing. I want to take a
picture with all of them, sir. I love this haircut
and this jacket Niche. You are phenomenal. May I please
take the cares of the tui. I love when people
have a crowd. Listen, rocket, whatever you like it be,
(47:17):
You do your thing, live your life. That's what we're
all about here. Get up mornings, let's stand with the
word of prayer.
Speaker 1 (47:24):
Lord.
Speaker 4 (47:24):
I'm just so grateful and so thankful for you and
your love and your power and your strength and your wisdom. Lord.
Speaker 1 (47:29):
You do all things well and in perfect timing.
Speaker 4 (47:32):
Lord, I couldn't have designed this opportunity, this blessing that
I get to share your goodness with so many people.
So I thank you, Lord, and I ask that someone
be blessed, healed, saved, delivered, set free, brought to Christ,
understanding who you are. I pray that they overcome and
walk in victory. I pray that they have the strength
to endure when times get tough, and they will. And God,
(47:52):
you have given us strength to walk through any storm
and come out with the victory. And Jesus Mighty Name,
cover us, keep us from our heart harm and danger
