Speaker 1 (05:45):
Right now a man faith walk.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
Yes, it is time for the faith walks of the day. Listen, y'all.
I don't know if there are many churches that still
do testimony service, but I used to love testimony service.
I used to love when get people will get up
and talk about the goodness of the Lord, what he
brought him through, what he brought him over, and it
would be the room will get so stirred as they
talked about God making a way and how they were
at this difficult point in life, whether it was a
(06:11):
sick loved one or way with child that came back
and gave their heart to the Lord, or being able
to pay a bill, or whatever it is. People testifying
of the goodness of God always, always, always encourages me.
And so today I want to challenge you to testify today.
Sometimes who you need to testify to is yourself. You
need to take your mind back to what He did,
(06:33):
what he said, how he brought you through, how he
kept you, just to remind yourself that God is a
good God.
Speaker 1 (06:38):
Yes he is.
Speaker 2 (06:39):
That's the song that we sang in church. You know,
we say God is good all the time, and all
the time, God is good. Sometimes we need to testify
of ourself. Just take your mind back a little bit,
go through your pictures and your phone, and just remind
yourself of all the things that God has done. Well,
maybe you're not like me, maybe you don't have ninety
seven thousand pictures in your phone, but I do, and
I can scroll back through some years and just remember
(07:02):
that God, you allowed me to do this, and you
allowed me to do that, and you kept me here,
and you elevated me here when I wasn't even expecting it.
Then you allowed me to go all over the world
to tell him about you. So even if the music
business is changing, even if you know church life is different,
even if things I know, God has been great, and
if he's been great, he will be great because He
(07:23):
never stops being great. So just because it's been a
long time don't mean it's not coming. So testify to
yourself of the goodness of God. All right.
Speaker 1 (07:30):
I want you to remember that.
Speaker 2 (07:32):
God loves you, he cares, He's making ways, he's opening door.
Speaker 1 (07:36):
So be encouraged this morning.
Speaker 2 (07:38):
Find yourself a scripture, find yourself a praise, sing your song,
clap your hands and dance and kick that negativity out
of your mind. And out of your heart. Kick that
question out that says, will he canny. I don't know
if it be your will. His will is to bless you.
His will is to heal. His will is to give
you the victory. That's what the word says. So testify
of his goodness and then expect the blessing.
Speaker 1 (07:59):
That's the faith.
Speaker 2 (07:59):
Walk of the day. Love you and I mean it,
y'all be encouraged, all right. Listen, it's birthday shoutout time
eight seven seven two for two two four two six
eight seven seven two for two two four two six. Listen.

another year. That's a testimony call us eight seven seven

Speaker 8 (13:54):
Anytime Heaven gives you a plan, Hell gives you plain
But what I love about God is that if he
gives you a dream, God guarantees that you will make
it to the end. If God gives you a dream,
he will guarantee that you get to the end. But
it is your responsibility to survive the middle, when when
God gives you a dream, he who has begin a
(14:15):
good working view will establish it until the day of
Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1 (14:18):
You will get to the end, but it is your
responsibility to survive in between and where I guarantee most
of you are in this room.
Speaker 8 (14:27):
If you feel like quitting, is because you are in
between right now and not yet.
Speaker 1 (14:32):
But I need everybody in here to put.
Speaker 8 (14:34):
The devil on notice that, come hell of high water,
I'm gonna finish this thing.
Speaker 1 (14:39):
Life is not gonna in me.
Speaker 8 (14:40):
Life be lifing stuff, be stuffing things, be thinking, and
I'm gonna keep winning.
Speaker 1 (14:46):
Somebody shot, I'm gonna make it through this streak. Come on,
I'm gonna make it through this thing.
Speaker 2 (14:53):
Yeah, better say it.
Speaker 1 (14:55):
You better say it until you believe it. Oh that
was so good.
Speaker 2 (14:58):
I had to share that with the get up church
and listen. And we appreciate y'all for I pray that
you take this word. We appreciate you for enjoying this.
And I don't know if you can even say it
that way, but I'm just grateful that I know that
there's somebody that needed that message right now. Wherever you are,
whatever you're going through, I know me.
Speaker 6 (15:19):
I mean, everybody's in that in between unless you start
seeing the manifestation of what you dreamt.
Speaker 1 (15:25):
We're in that process and then you give up in
the middle of it. You won't see the end.
Speaker 2 (15:29):
You won't see the end if you quit. Oh goodness, gracious, it's.
Speaker 1 (15:34):
That's a word that one of your jont jokes. Well,
pastor key, I just did, thank you, just did, thank
you best.
Speaker 2 (15:42):
You won't see the end if you quit.

because you just tired.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
Don't quit. You won't see the victory if you quit.
Don't quit. It's taken too long. Don't quit. See, don't quit.
You had this dream a long time ago. You just
haven't gotten there yet. But you won't get there if
you quit.

old and I'm finding out online with the rest of
the world, with the randoms I get privileged deformation. That's
what Tina said when I had Saiah and she was

Speaker 1 (17:41):
It was even on line. It was a text chang, y'all.
Speaker 2 (17:43):
She lost her mind. You mean, I'm finding out about

and Chris Ly would always sing my sola's anchor. My
parents had his records and we listened to them all
the time. Did you ever interview him, Cheryl?
Speaker 1 (24:36):
I did, and you kind of knew him.
Speaker 6 (24:38):
My pastor played professional drums for choirs and things back then,
so he was like the Teddy I guess the Ara
gospel music. And so Doug was his friend. Pastor, you know,
Douglas Miller was his friend. So he would stop our
church all the time. My pastor is Danny mccrimin. So
a lot of folks would know him from doing a
lot of the Florida Mass Clark's sister as he toured
(25:00):
with them, you know, just you know a number of
people that he played for that was in that day,
and Douglas was at but I remember him being at
the UNAX and the Aims and just a baritone attended
the funeral.
Speaker 1 (25:13):
This was the un was like their aim conferences.
Speaker 11 (25:18):

Speaker 2 (25:19):
So it was like the youth conference with all the
young things ministries and stuff.
Speaker 6 (25:24):
So all the auxiliaries actually missionary evangelism, but youth was
always the biggest portion of it because that's where all
the young people will go. But that's where doctor Maddie
back in the day, doctor Mattie Mosk introduced a lot.
Speaker 1 (25:36):
Of folks to the gospel music community.
Speaker 2 (25:37):
Yeah so did yeah, GRIFP did you know Douglas Miller.

If you're one of those folks, listen up. I want
you to take out a pad and pen and write
twenty ideas. Twenty ideas that you can implement to change
your situation, like if you can cook, make a dish,
sell it.

To someone who doesn't have time to cook.
Speaker 17 (27:25):
Or if you have stuff you cannot wear anymore, or
things you don't need anymore, then sell them. When you
make the list, the first five will probably be pretty easy,
but then you will get progressively more difficult in your choice. Yet,
I want to encourage you to not stop until you
write all twenty. Once you write them, I want you
to prioritize which one will be first, then second, and
so forth until you get to twenty, and then start
(27:47):
working on number one. When you accomplish it, move on
to number two and all the way to twenty. You
will be amazed what happens in your life and in
your income and in your economic situation.

Up Morning, sir.
Speaker 11 (34:22):
I'm so.
Speaker 6 (34:26):
I love it man, you're known to do these anthems. Well,
let's get into it. Go ahead and introduce your new
single and we'll come back and talk more about it.
Speaker 11 (34:33):
Okay, Well, this is the new single, and he shall reign.
Oh my gosh, it's introducing the Lord, letting everybody know
that the kingdoms of this world are his and he
shall reign forever. I'm excited about it.
Speaker 6 (34:48):
We're excited to hear it is and he shall rain
on Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell.
Speaker 1 (34:53):
Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell.
Speaker 4 (35:01):
Woo, that's rich a toe bird with he shall reign rich.
It sounds like you having fun in the word.
Speaker 11 (35:10):
How about that when I tell you it's beautiful to
dive into it and know when you know him, you
know you don't have no worries. He rains forever over everything,
you know. So I'm just excited about to get this message.
You know, I have to never be to see after
I'm alive, because there's more after your work. The Lord
brought me to this place of you know. I was
(35:33):
literally in my room and I was crying over life.
He literally said, you know, I rained over everything right,
your life, your finances, your health, and your family, the
kingdom of the government, the kingdom of the world of mine.
So I'm so glad to dive into the word, and
it's so much assurance and knowing that he rains.
Speaker 6 (35:54):
Yes, I love how you come up with these anthems
as you just named them. These are songs, I mean,
because there's more. I mean, there's songs that kind of
like speak to our right now, you know what I mean,
and we get taken we can do in our services
and it goes. It's like worship moments that God gives you.
What's your process? And I know the enemy got be
on your trail? You know the way you create these anthems.
(36:17):
What's your process?
Speaker 11 (36:18):
When I tell you then it literally comes from experience. Honestly,
I'm a love of the words and I as a kid,
my mom used to make fun of me. She's like,
he's not nine years old. He making a question flowing there,
he's reading the word, he's retested, he's really friend. So
you know, it really helped growing up because it's helped
me get through so many battles in life, from being
sick to write a miracle worker, to want to sit
(36:41):
in here doing everything that I can to take my
life to write I'm alive, because there's more to literally
going to a doctor and they say you have ten
to fifteen years to live in the blood cancer that
you have is incarable, and I'm like, never be defeated.
And he said, Rain Thomas, I'm literally sitting here thinking
about the call on my life and thinking about how
heart it is. You're thinking about the torment sometimes that
(37:04):
the sleepless nights, the worries about the future. And the
Lord spoke to me is that you don't even know
what you will become.
Speaker 4 (37:10):
You got to trust.
Speaker 11 (37:12):
Yeah, you don't even know yet. You know, you're living
into an unfolding. So and at this point in life,
I literally look to what we say all the time,
which is Scripture, the author in the finish of faith life.
So there's nothing that a doctor, you know, the doctor
Jesus can't fix. There's nothing that a lawyer Jesus can't fix.
(37:35):
There's nothing that the King Jesus cannot fix. So it's
literally focused and turning my attention to it. So, uh,
the story that once seemed horrible is now beautiful. Yeah, man, I.
Speaker 4 (37:48):
Mean, Cheryl, what else can we say? Dude, just gave
us a sermon. I'm hyped, I'm any reign. I'm on
it right now.
Speaker 1 (37:55):
Rich How can people follow you and keeps important?
Speaker 4 (38:00):
Yes?
Speaker 11 (38:01):

Spotify anywhere. It's just Rich Tobert Junior.
Speaker 1 (38:09):
I'm excited. Got you now.
Speaker 6 (38:11):
The single is also guys, download this. I can hear
worship leaders everywhere singing and he Shall Rain. I love that.
Speaker 1 (38:18):
What you got coming up?
Speaker 11 (38:20):
Well, I'm literally promoting this album and getting ready to
record again with with with a choir now, so that
God has kind of changed it.
Speaker 1 (38:30):
Wow.
Speaker 11 (38:31):
Yeah, yeah, so everything is like new. It's like a
surrender season for me. So I'm just excited to just
walk into the unfolded of what the Lord has to
me next.
Speaker 6 (38:40):
Wonderful Rich Tobert everybody the new single and he Shall Rain.
Make sure you download it.

It's trending topics up to the minute.
Speaker 2 (39:19):
All right, Cheryl tell us what's trending?
Speaker 1 (39:21):
Harry family. Here is what's trending.
Speaker 6 (39:22):
You know, hopping into a stranger's car is already a
weird concept when you think about it, at the potential
of being flirted with, harassed, or just straight up creeped
out by the driver, and it becomes an all too familiar,
uncomfortable experience for women. So to ease some of that
anxiety and address long standing safety concerns, Uber is rolling
out a new feature that lets women writers choose women drivers.
(39:45):
The update, designed to give women more choice, more confidence,
and more flexibility, also enables women drivers to opt into
being paired with women riders through a new toggle in
their app setting. With only one in five Uber drivers
identifying as women, the company says writers may face long
wait times, but they'll have options, and writers can choose
(40:05):
to wait, book a ride with a woman driver in advance,
or go with an available driver who might not match
their preference. So back in twenty nineteen, Uber launched this
ride share option in Saudi Arabia after women across the
country game the right to drive. So they're trying it
out here in the United States, and it's going to
kick off in Los Angeles, San Francisco and Detroit in
(40:29):
just a few weeks.
Speaker 1 (40:30):
And in other news, I love this.
Speaker 6 (40:32):
Grammy winning and Billboard Gospel Artist of the Decade, Tasha
Cobbs Leonard released her first ever studio album, Tasha, on
Motown Gospel today. Unlike her previous live recordings, Tasha was
crafted entirely in studio, giving Tasha Cobbs Leonard and her husband,
producer Kenneth Lennard Junior, the freedom to stretch both sonically
(40:52):
and lyrically. The result is a fifteen track project that
draws from gospel worship, pop hip hop in eighties R
and B, offering a bold and fresh sound grounded in faith,
emotional honesty, and creative freedom.
Speaker 1 (41:06):
I love that Tasha's.
Speaker 6 (41:08):
