The episode opens with a powerful reminder in Erica’s Faith Walk about the kind of God we serve—one whose word “stands forever,” even when life feels delayed or discouraging. Pulling straight from the pulpit-style encouragement she delivered live, Erica emphasizes that God’s timing doesn’t operate on our expectations and that believers shouldn’t lose hope just because blessings don’t arrive on schedule. Her message echoes common frustrations many Christians face, urging listeners to lean into God’s consistency, not human predictions or emotions.

From there, the show shifts into practical empowerment for everyday life, including a Money Mondays conversation with AI expert Kim Fox Dunigan, who breaks down how artificial intelligence can simplify holiday planning—from budgeting Thanksgiving dinner to navigating Black Friday sales. The episode closes with a thoughtful Love Talk, where Erica addresses love-language barriers and how couples often miss each other emotionally by “doing for” instead of “doing with.” Drawing on real experiences from her own marriage, she teaches listeners how to bridge relational gaps by asking directly what your partner needs and learning to speak love in a way they can actually feel.

Millions of Americans are relieved the shutdown is over and

Inflation Relief Act, which would give recipients an extra two
hundred dollars per month for the first six months of

it would offer a temporary but meaningful boost where millions

Yes, it is time. I love that.

Speaker 4 (06:20):
I was reading it and when I opened it and
saw for it will be impossible.

Speaker 7 (06:28):
It really.

Speaker 8 (06:32):
Uh that I serve and I was and.

Speaker 4 (06:36):
I was letting them know that we an exceedingly abundantly
kind of God. We possible things. We serve a God
who does not who is You are.

Speaker 8 (06:55):
Difficult because comes in.

Speaker 4 (06:59):
Okay, we can barely hear you going in and out
a little bit on your faith. Yeah, well yeah, I
was talking about the goodness of God and what kind
of God we serve. Oh my God, A test and

(07:20):
want to a microphone check.

Speaker 8 (07:22):
I want to want to trying to bless.

Speaker 4 (07:24):
The people and remind them of what kind of what
kind of God we serve, who does not fail, whose
faith doesn't waiver, who doesn't change his mind about us,
because people do, and we got to remember the word.

Speaker 8 (07:35):
Of God stands forever.

Speaker 4 (07:37):
We've got to remember that people will change and trip,
and people will fail.

Speaker 8 (07:42):
And people will disappoint you, but God doesn't.

Speaker 4 (07:45):
And we got to remember to put our faith in
God out in trust.

Speaker 9 (07:51):
Trust.

Speaker 4 (07:52):
As I was reminding them of these things on Sunday,
it really really encouraged my heart, because you know, sometimes
we're waiting on things, and we're waiting on God to
do what he said he would do, and if it
doesn't come in the time that we think it should come,
then sometimes we lose hope and sometimes we lose faith.
But I want to encourage you this morning that I
don't care how long it takes, God hasn't changed his mind.

(08:12):
Maybe you was gonna have thought it was gonna happen
this year, Just prepare your heart because God's word stands forever,
It does not fail.

Speaker 8 (08:19):
His word stands forever.

Speaker 4 (08:21):
And when you know that even when the enemy is
telling you it will never happen, I will tell the
enemy it may not happen when I think it's gonna happen.
But it will because God said it. And if God
said it, you can stand on that. You can trust
in that. They don't get so arrogant to think that
you can predict when it's gonna happen, because people love
doing that. Remember, they just said Jesus was coming back
last November. What won't What was the date they said

(08:43):
Jesus was coming back. I think so you got to
twenty if or something like that.

Speaker 8 (08:47):
Yeah, you gotta trust God and wait on God. Good people,
and listen.

Speaker 4 (08:52):
He is faithful to perform, faithful to heal, faithful to deliver.

Speaker 2 (08:55):
He really really is. Trust God.

Speaker 8 (08:58):
People trust God every day, all day, one hundred percent.

Speaker 2 (09:02):

morning's y'all. A Marri Campbell and it is time for
our weekend and review.

Speaker 8 (14:09):
What a weekend.

Speaker 4 (14:10):
So I had the joy of taking a moment to
refresh and recover, and me and my husband got a
chance to go away for a bit, but we had
to come home for yet another homegoing. Warren's aunt, Helen Crane,
went to be with the Lord and the family got
together and just the words of wisdom were great. So

(14:32):
Warren was the officiant and Dad Campbell did the eulogy,
but it was my Auntie May who got up at
the end and reminded us that we've got to stop
gathering at funerals. That reminded us that we don't have
to go away and not come to holidays and not

(14:52):
come to birthdays because someone hurt your feelings years ago
and someone disappointed you years ago. And she talked about
the importance of forgiveness. She talked about the importance of love,
and you could just feel the loving rebuke that she
gave the whole family and the repass. It was hugs
and pictures and conversations and a few tears too, and

(15:14):
it was just a sweet reminder that life is short
and that you can't avoid the people that you love. Well,
you can, but you'll be cheating yourself. You'll be you'll
be missing out on yourself.

Speaker 8 (15:24):
We weren't. We weren't designed or created to do life alone.

Speaker 4 (15:26):
And it was just a sweet reminder, even though it
was a homegoing service. And then Sunday, you know, death
and birthday usually go hand in hand.

Speaker 8 (15:36):
We dedicated to the Lord.

Speaker 4 (15:38):
My niece d Shanee had a baby who she named Dshoney.
I want to fight her a little bit for that.
She and she literally put JR In her name. I'm
so mad about it. But we were googling it just
to see, like, can you do that? You can't, It's
not it's not I was. I just said, I don't

(15:59):
want to.

Speaker 8 (16:00):
Man, I am.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
I'm gonna call him Mini. I'm not calling her. I'm
gonna call her baby D. And then she got mad
we called her baby D because she was like, no,
that's from the Friday movie. I said, you should have
thought of that. But yeah, church was great. The weekend
was full, you know, a lot of emotions, but I'm
blessed to still be alive.

Speaker 8 (16:19):
Grip, how was your weekend?

Speaker 13 (16:20):
Man?

Speaker 3 (16:20):
Let me tell you something. Charlotte owes me nothing. I
got to Charlotte. Thursday, God blessed with some Monica and
Brandy tickets from my homeboy Jamal Roberts. Thank you to
Ed Colefield and Monica Bacon, and big shout out to Tristan. Tristan,
he's a supervisor at the Spectrum Center, my girl Nita

(16:41):
and a really cool police officer I sat next to
most of the show. Friday, I spoke at Harding University
High School thanks to our girl Melanie Pratt at Praise
one hundred point nine and my dude Tommy Nichols with
the Colt Workspace. Big shout out to their principal Carissa
Scott and miss l Parde. And then later that evening

(17:04):
I hung out with my uncle John p. Key at
his church. He was doing a fish fry for the men.
Of course. Saturday, watched the first half of the Michigan
game with my guy Tony Jackson, the author of Increase,
Protect and Dominate Your Money. And then that afternoon I
did what I actually came to Charlotte to do, Dementia

(17:25):
Speaks with doctor Macy P.

Speaker 2 (17:28):
Smith Man.

Speaker 3 (17:29):
When I tell you that lady know everything about dementia
and ah, she's a whole problem She's a whole problem.
Shout out to the Frankie May Foundation, my girl Vernetzer.
And then at night we went to the Oklahoma Thunders
Charlotte Hornet basketball game.

Speaker 2 (17:47):
It was dope.

Speaker 3 (17:47):
It was Rod's's first time at the NBA basketball game.
Charlotte owed me nothing. How about yours, Cheryl Man.

Speaker 4 (17:55):
I had the opportunity to open up for the Wee
Outside Tour with TDD Tribvitt. Yeah, Nick Reynold's made an
appearance Pastor Mike Todd. They introduced a new artist named Anthony.

with the American Diabetes Association, with Kaiser Permanente and with
Kingdom Fellowship Church where we did a whole Saturday of

(18:16):
information and fun and just pouring back into the community.

Speaker 2 (18:20):
So yeah, we outside, Yo, we have night period.

Speaker 4 (18:24):
We outside were up in the get up to y'all
say Claus, y'all stick around.

Speaker 7 (18:35):
We got borrowed the way you're listening to get up.

Speaker 18 (18:39):
This is Jim Drops with a Terosar Whickfield, brought to
you by the Dear Future WIFEI podcast on Jim Drops,
I cut relationship troops with precision and give you clarity
in under sixty seconds. Today's Jim. Compatibility feels like home.
Chemistry can feel like chaos. We chase sparks, we chase butterflies,
But sometimes the very thing giving you chills is also

(19:01):
giving you confusion. Chemistry is real, the compatibility is stable.
One gives you passion, the other gives you peace. And
here's a secret. If peace feels unfamiliar, you might confuse
it with boredom.

Speaker 1 (19:15):
But the real ones, they make you.

Speaker 18 (19:17):
Feel safe, seem secure when you find that full hold
on to it.

Speaker 2 (19:24):
That's home.

Speaker 1 (19:26):
Now, let me see you shine. There you go.

Speaker 18 (19:29):

Speaker 1 (19:40):
Erica is of the Day.

Speaker 7 (19:41):
Get Up Mornings with Erica Cabo.

Speaker 8 (19:44):
Yes, it's time for the Erica Ism and listen.

Speaker 4 (19:46):
I'm sure we all at some point have been on
social media, whether it is Facebook or Instagram or where.

Speaker 8 (19:53):
Maybe you are a Twitter or threads person, maybe your TikTok.
I don't know.

Speaker 4 (19:58):
I know they've got some others out there. I'm a
woman of a certain age, so I'm not into twitch
and all the others, but there are a lot.

Speaker 8 (20:05):
But here's what it's under my skin, y'all.

Speaker 4 (20:10):
Some of y'all the stuff that you tell, I don't
I don't know the return that you expect on the
information that you put out.

Speaker 8 (20:18):
I don't know if.

Speaker 4 (20:19):
You're looking for people to just agree with you. But
some of the business that you tell, some of the
things that you share, you have to remember that is
literally out there forever and if things change between you
and the person you're upset with, especially if it's family,
Like gosh, now I know that there had there was

(20:43):
a dangerous generation where they told you what stays in
the house was what starts in the house stays in
the house, and you don't tell no business, and sometimes
the house wasn't safe, and you know, sometimes you went
through things.

Speaker 8 (20:56):
So people are, you know, getting free by sharing.

Speaker 4 (20:59):
But you've got to remember your kids see this, your
nieces and nephews see this, and are these things that
you want to share with the world, Like some of
you need to go to therapy or have some good
friends or somebody else that you talk to. Because I
cringe sometimes when I scroll past a page and I'm.

Speaker 8 (21:18):
Like, why says why would why would you say that,
Why would you post that.

Speaker 4 (21:22):
You can post what you want because you are grown,
but you have to think of the consequence. I remember
when my mom told me years ago that God forgives sin,
but there's a consequence, and that consequence will be yours
to deal with. But it's the same with your choices,
not just sin, but when you make choices, you've got
to deal with the consequence. And now you got to
go back and apologize. And now you got to go
back and know what I was trying to say was

(21:44):
or or try to scrape the internet, like you know,
if you've got a whole lot of money, you can
scrape the internet. There's a lot of things that did
disappear and are not there anymore.

Speaker 2 (21:52):
But if you ain't.

Speaker 4 (21:52):
Got money like that, maybe it's out here for the
rest of your life. I try to share this with
my young ones, who you know, want to get jobs
and want to go to college. But right now you
just they just you know, silly and young, you know,
and they don't know any better. Sometimes even our young ones,
this some of us is admissible as evidence.

Speaker 8 (22:10):
So be just a little more selective.

Speaker 19 (22:12):
Like.

Speaker 4 (22:14):
You know, be a little more careful with what you
say and what you post. I don't even have time
to get into those who feel like they explore, IM
gonna expose you, Like Lord Jesus, y'all done have so
many videos exposed and stuff that would me at all
on YouTube?

Speaker 8 (22:29):
They said I died.

Speaker 4 (22:30):
And I said I had babies with people. I was like,
y'all just be making up stuff. But it's out there,
a whole one thousand percent live. But it's out there
and it's nothing you could do about it. So don't
you be the one that's releasing things. It's not true.
You heard a little bit of information and you turned
your camera on immediately and went to talking, and then
you gotta go take it down. Well, I mean I

(22:52):
had the information wrong. Well if you would have checked
it first, Come on, y'all, let's use.

Speaker 8 (22:57):
A little bit more discretion.

Speaker 4 (22:59):
If you got problem with the person, how about call
the person. You got a problem with a leader at
your church, how about go ask for a meeting and
not post it on Facebook, because y'all the world is
also watching.

Speaker 8 (23:09):
How can we win the world when we showed nothing
but division? How can we tell.

Speaker 4 (23:12):
People that God loves family when you ain't doing nothing
but hating your family online. How can we build up
believers and tell them we have a gracious forgiving God
when you won't forgive nobody. So you think that you are.
You know, I'm gonna let the people know if God
didn't ask you to do it? Could you could you
be could you hush a little bit? Could you just
be quiet a little bit?

Speaker 8 (23:32):

you to expose like and what you exposed had nothing
to do with you.

Speaker 8 (23:46):
It wasn't even your business.

Speaker 4 (23:48):
And so now you're telling people's private business because who
are you helping?

Speaker 2 (23:52):
Did God ask you to do that?

Speaker 8 (23:53):
Who are you helping?

Speaker 2 (23:56):
Can y'all push a little bit? Just blessed me so good?

Speaker 8 (23:58):
Hush a little bos.

Speaker 2 (24:02):
Who used to do that? Me? Well, I don't want
people to talk to me.

Fox Done again, Kim, Good Morning's this.

Speaker 13 (28:56):
Good morning, good morning, good morning. Good to be here.

Speaker 1 (28:59):
Now.

Speaker 3 (29:00):
I know you probably love this and you sit up
just thinking about things. But how can we use AI
to make thanks Given easier and less stressful?

Speaker 1 (29:08):
Is it possible?

Speaker 13 (29:09):
It is definitely possible. And yes, I just sit up
and think about things and so and think about thinking
about how to use AI to make Thanksgiving easier and
less stressful. There are three things that stand out to me,
the most that AI can help you with mail planning
is the first one and creating your grocery list. So say,

(29:29):
for instance, you tell AI, hey, I have X number
of people coming. Three of them are vegans, two of
them don't like bread or whatever, and the third one
has an allergy. My cooking skill is ah am right,
and I have a budget of like two hundred dollars.
You enter that into Chat, GPT or any other tool,
and it will create for you a budget that recognizes

(29:53):
those wild carry needs and restrictions exactly. It stays in
your budget, and it asks you, like on a level
of priorities, which dish is what you want to invest
more money in. So that saves you time right there,
just putting that together and having a thing through that process.

Speaker 3 (30:12):
I love that if you're super duper specific, like my
girlfriend from Cincinnati has had an allergy, and you explain
the allergy, they'll even help you with that.

Speaker 2 (30:22):
But how can we use AI for Christmas shopping?

Speaker 13 (30:25):
Well, for Christmas shopping, that is a game changer. So
when you use AI for Christmas shopping, you can ask
it to help you create your shopping list. In fact,
you can say I just did the prompt. This morning,
I said, I was curious, can you help me plan
my Black Friday schedule, like based on the stores what
they have when they're going to open. So I don't

(30:47):
have to do that, I don't have to sit with that.
I can have AI to do it, and they asks
you the same thing as far as prioritizing and what
it is doing now is it's even in AI and
this is for some all businesses too. AI is chat
GPT has partnered with PayPal and Stripe, so they're integrated

(31:07):
into chatterpt exactly. So if you're a small business owner
and you're not getting recognized in AI, now is the
time to do it because people can purchase directly from
you through AI now, and those have a higher conversion
rate because people are actually looking into purchasing and not
just buying in those spaces. So that is something to

(31:29):
consider as a small business owner. Another thing that AI
can help you do is create a shopping plan and budget.
Going back to budget money, it's tight. So what I
actually did is I created a custom GPT that will
help you to plan your shopping plan based on your budget.
So it's going to ask you questions like what is

(31:51):
your budget. Who are you shopping for? You don't have
to put in their full name, just the first name
or mom and daddy, you know tt whoever, and the
AI will help you create a list of potential gifts
on their interest. It's very crazy, crazy crazy.

Speaker 3 (32:07):
I love it, lady and gentlemen. I just want to
say I knew her first. And this is a dumb question,
and I know you can answer real quick. What does
the GPT and chat GPT stand for?

Speaker 13 (32:18):
You know what? That is not a dumb question. So
fact that so not dumb is the fact that I
don't even know the answer to that because I never Yes.

Speaker 2 (32:28):
I stumped AI expert.

Speaker 1 (32:30):
That is beautiful.

Speaker 13 (32:32):
I need to go ask chat GBT what it means.

Speaker 2 (32:35):
Right.

Speaker 3 (32:36):
That's Kim Fox done again our new financial and AI
expert Mantay Connected log on their Purpose Driven Enterprises dot com.

Speaker 17 (34:44):
I'm so excited really because I got grow and I.

Speaker 1 (34:47):
Get a whole is off.

Speaker 8 (34:50):
All right, guys, Cheryl, tell us what we're talking about today.

Speaker 4 (34:54):
All right, So a group of my friends and I
were talking about this over dinner yesterday. Michelle Obama just
released a new book, right it's called The Look, And
while her book tour, someone asks what she ever consider
running for president? We always see that question as opposed
to her. Her response got over six million views. Like
immediately she said, sadly, we're not ready. We ain't ready.

(35:14):
It's what she said, we ain't ready.

Speaker 2 (35:15):
She said.

Speaker 4 (35:16):
That's why I'm like, I don't even don't even look
at me for running, because because you all are lying,
you're not ready for a woman. Uh huh, she said,
you're lying you're not ready for a woman, You're not,
she said, obviously, you know, so we see that because
obviously Trump won both presidencies from two competent women, right, So,
and is there some truth to that statement? I want

(35:36):
to hear from the get Up Church because I've heard
people say that, like, yeah, I would never vote for
a woman, Like what, Like, I want us to be
honest and true. You know, do you really believe that
a woman could lead our country? Because if we had considered, right, yeah,
and you know, maybe some agencies will still be active,

(35:58):
maybe some folk will still have some jobs. Maybe we
won't be hunting down folk that we look that look
like immigrants, you know what I mean, Like, maybe things
would be a little different. So the question is, do
you think a woman can lead our country? I want
to hear because even I've heard women say I'm not
sure if a woman could lead, you know. And so
I believe that I have, you know, a gift of

(36:20):
leadership because I'm always in a capacity of leading and
God's graced me to do it and I thank God
for it, and so so that really hits my heart
a little differently when you think, you know, women can't lead,
and you know, thinking that we're emotional or you know,
and and and people do look at us differently when
we start imposing things, when we start implementing things and

(36:42):
we're starting we're passionate about something, then we're angry women
and we're you know, or you know, she's too emotional.
But the question is do you think women can lead
our country? Yeah, y'all chime in, so we can.

Speaker 2 (36:56):
Lead our country?

Speaker 4 (36:58):
I think they can, But I agree with her one
hundred percent that we are not ready.

Speaker 8 (37:04):
No, we we are not ready.

Speaker 4 (37:06):
And then there are some believers who definitely say God's
order is God's order, and men are designed to lead.
They were created to lead, that is, you know, God's order.
Do I think it's sinful or wrong for a woman
to leave?

Speaker 2 (37:19):
No?

Speaker 4 (37:20):
No, I think they can and I think they're capable
of it. But I think people struggle in that area,
and not just believers either. I think a lot of
people struggle with accepting women as leaders. Not all countries,
because we know that there are several countries in the
world where the where a woman is president and the
country is literally thriving, But how we view our women,

(37:41):
our women in this country, there's a lot of layers
to un to unravel.

Speaker 3 (37:44):
Griff, what do you think I love women? In the
way my life is set up? Women are the dopest
thing in it you Erica Campbell's syl I love mayor beaches,
Keija Land's bottom, Shirley Franklin, the former maryland Is of Virginia.
I'm female mayor of Detroit. Stacey Abrams. I'm thinking women

(38:05):
over dudes all the time. Dudes is dumb. Look at
our president period. You telling me it ain't a female.
I got the I got the girl that come as
salutatory in any elementary over our president right now for
ris so go women, girl pout.

Speaker 4 (38:21):
So we want to know eight seven seven two four
two two four two six do you think.

Speaker 8 (38:25):
A woman can lead our country?

Speaker 2 (38:27):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (38:27):
We had two elections and they didn't vote it. But
we want to know what the get Up church thinks.

Speaker 8 (38:31):
Give us a call eight seven seven two for two
two four to six. It's get up mornings.

Speaker 1 (38:45):
If you're listening to get up.

Speaker 5 (38:47):
Erica kimp you heard from us, because I got grow.

Speaker 1 (38:54):
Get a whole is off all right?

Speaker 4 (38:57):
Today we are asking can a woman lead the country.
Michelle Obama said they not ready. We ain't ready yet,
but we wanted to know what the Get Up Church thinks.
What do you guys think can a woman lead our country?
Let's ask minister Paul. Hey, mister Paul in Cleveland.

Speaker 8 (39:12):
Do you think a woman can lead our country?

Speaker 5 (39:15):
I think women are very capable in white and intelligence.

Speaker 2 (39:20):
Come on, and I don't.

Speaker 5 (39:22):
I don't know what you know. I agree with Griff.
Women are some of the dope asy you dopest people
there are. And and you know, I look at my grandmother,
I look at my mother, you know, Come on, now,
you know I believe that if we would have gotten
commonly in office, all this ness would not be.

Speaker 2 (39:45):
Going on at all.

Speaker 5 (39:47):
You know, we need we need a woman to telligence
just like it is. You know, I look at Jasline Crockett.
I love Jasline Crockett cause you don't hold that she
don't mix the words up to tell it just like
it is. And we need the truth to be told.
You know, women will be in their wisdom and in

(40:11):
their intelligence lead in God this country to the truth
that it needs.

Speaker 2 (40:17):
We thank you so much, minutes Paul. We appreciate y'all.

Speaker 5 (40:21):
God, I appreciate you guys. God bless y'all love you, man,
I love and there's nothing you can do about it?

Speaker 4 (40:30):
All right, by by by, Sir Dale, and Charlotte is
on the line. Hey Dale, do you think a woman
could lead our country?

Speaker 20 (40:38):
Absolutely so?

Speaker 13 (40:39):
Uh let's look at the track record of this last
administration and.

Speaker 1 (40:43):
Think that Kamala couldn't do better.

Speaker 13 (40:44):
Come on, now, let's be real at the point where
we are still so stuck and are chauvinistic and a bit.

Speaker 1 (40:51):
Racist us as far as choosing.

Speaker 5 (40:53):
Crayole Man over Kamala, there's something what you call him
Crayola man looks like an orange crayola.

Speaker 2 (41:01):
This went all spray pants.

Speaker 8 (41:04):
Man, Dale, thick of you right now. Thank you for
calling Griff.

Speaker 5 (41:10):
We go catch up next time.

Speaker 2 (41:11):
Man Man, I had three time, but we're gonna get up.

Speaker 14 (41:17):
Brother.

Speaker 2 (41:19):
Bye, keep doing what y'all do.

Speaker 3 (41:20):
Love you eighty seven seven two Six's time for to
get up Pole. Let's go to the at L and
talk to my girl Jay Jay. Do you think a
woman could lead this country?

Speaker 17 (41:30):
I do, I do very much. I do believe that
a woman could lead this country. Do I believe that
the world is ready for that?

Speaker 7 (41:36):
No?

Speaker 13 (41:37):
I don't.

Speaker 17 (41:38):
Women have been leading since the beginning of time. I mean,
women run the household.

Speaker 13 (41:42):
Man go out and.

Speaker 17 (41:43):
They make the money in take care of all of
those things like that. But the woman is the one
who leaves the household. Households are broken when women are
not in their place with regards to the household and
taking care of their children and supporting that that man
in their lives.

Speaker 13 (41:59):
Yes, I do. We're not ready for it though.

Speaker 4 (42:01):
No, we're not. Thank you for calling. Maybe one day
they will be thank you for sharing. Says you're welcome
by bye.

Speaker 2 (42:07):
Let's go to Virginia and talk to the homie.

Speaker 13 (42:09):
Earl.

Speaker 14 (42:09):
Earl.

Speaker 3 (42:10):
Do you think a woman could lead this country?

Speaker 1 (42:13):
Yes, sir, I do.

Speaker 19 (42:15):
I think a woman could lead this country because there's
a lot of ladies that's in charge of other different
kind of males. We done head male government and all
that stuff. I think we need a woman as a president, Koch.
They can make her change change.

Speaker 4 (42:33):
I know that we appreciate yourself a good one.

Speaker 3 (42:37):
All right, y'all too, definitely need a woman president. Yeah,
it's webbity right now. A woman president for being.

Speaker 2 (42:52):
Perfect y'all around. We got more.

Speaker 4 (43:01):
If you're listening to get up er, good morning, get
people let's get up mornings. I'm Aerica Campbell, loving Jesus
loving You're on a marvelous Monday.

Speaker 8 (43:13):
So glad to be back with y'all. I missed y'all.
Glad to be here playing with you.

Speaker 4 (43:18):
Y'all are awesome and crazy in the morning, and I

Griff will get the quick sports minute. Listen music from Mary, Mary,
Tamla Man and Adia. Everybody good in the get up Church.

Speaker 2 (43:38):
We're good, super sweet.

Speaker 4 (43:40):
Praise the Lord, Praise the Lord. Here see sea wine
is will come Jesus, come on, get up one.

Speaker 1 (43:45):
Let's talk about love for God.

Speaker 2 (43:47):
So love the.

Speaker 1 (43:48):
World, y'all love talking.

Speaker 8 (43:51):
Yes, it is time for the love Talk of the day.

Speaker 4 (43:53):
And I was blessed to be sitting with my mother
in love and my sister Joy and we were just
talking about relationship and dating and how a lot of
people when they are about to get married, and rightfully so,
a lot of men focus on what they have to give,
which is very important. But if you focus more on
what you have to give than how you make my

(44:14):
heart feel. You make something important that could be great
on one end, but also feel like neglect to another
part of me that is very vital. So women, we're emotional,
and I believe that men are too in some ways.
And if you do do for me but not with me,
it can feel like you're just doing a job and
you're supposed to do your job. So we've got to

(44:36):
learn to find this how to bridge this language barrier,
this love barrier that has one focusing on one thing
and one focusing on another. You know, if I'm honest,
I you know, men warn't spend some time away. And
I was like, what is the most you know, important
thing or what is the biggest thing that has happened
for us? And he starts talking about a property that

(44:58):
we didn't get in a particular state that we were
looking to buy a house in and I went, oh, okay,
because I wanted it to be a Valentine's memory. I
wanted it to be one of our anniversaries. I wanted
it to be something with our kids. But for him,
it was something that he wanted to do for me
that couldn't get done. And he meant that, and he
was passionate about it and it was a big moment

(45:19):
for him. But for me, my heart was more on
the emotional relational things, and so you got to learn
to speak the same language. Ladies, when your husband is
focusing on what he does for you, that's what he's
called to do, that's what he's supposed to do, don't
get offended because he's doing things for you and not
with you. You know, sometimes you want to go on
the brunch and you want him to go, and he'd
be like, no, you can go with your girls, and

(45:41):
you feel a little thrown away a little bit. It's
not because he's thrown you away. He's trying to focus
on something else. Learn to speak the same don't get
your griff griff, because a lot of times we are
just speaking a different language. Or Ladies, when he wants
you to sit and watch sports and you absolutely don't
like it, sit there and watch it anyway, because that's

(46:02):
what makes him feel like you care about what he's
concerned about. And a lot of times the relationships, the
one who is the loudest gets all the attention, and ladies,
you know, sometimes I said, why don't we do this,
and why don't we do that? But we don't never
do things for them that bless them, things that they want.
Don't get what you think they want, Ask.

Speaker 8 (46:21):
Them what they want and give them that.

Speaker 4 (46:22):
When you learn to have those difficult conversations so you
understand each other clearly, like literally, like baby, what can
I do to make you feel my love? I know
I think I'm doing the right thing. But if you
don't feel it, what's the point. So learn to bridge
the language barrier, because that's what the enemy uses to
pull us apart.

Speaker 8 (46:40):
Don't let the enemy pull you apart over language, over
not understanding fully.

Speaker 4 (46:46):
Let's put in the work to make sure we understand
how to love the ones we say we love. That's
the love talk of to day. I love you and
I mean it. All right, guys, stick around. Trending topics
and the Quick Sports Minute are up next.

Speaker 8 (46:57):
Don't get up mornings.

Speaker 7 (47:07):

everybody's talking about right now.

Trouble in the Mega camp?

Speaker 4 (47:26):
Right? So President Donald Trump has publicly called it quits,
with one of his most MAGA world supporters, calling Georgia
Representative Marjorie Taylor Green wacky Marjorie and saying he would
endorse a challenger against her in the next year's midterm
if the right person runs.

Speaker 2 (47:43):
Now, the dismissal of Green wants to be.

Speaker 3 (47:50):
Did he don't want to be no more?

Speaker 4 (47:54):
Then he got right once the epitome of making America
great again, sporting the signature red cap and everything that
you know President Trump did.

Speaker 2 (48:06):
She supported and talked about it.

Speaker 4 (48:08):
But since they were releasing these jeff Jeffrey Epstein files,
and he initially didn't want anybody to release them, and
she was one of the ones who voted that they
do release them. And that's when they all fell out.
But now President Trump is changing his tune, telling us
Republicans should vote that we released them. Yeah, somebody hadne
gotten his yet's not saying that.

Speaker 2 (48:27):
Yeah, I love.

Speaker 4 (48:31):
But they fighting on true social They fighting out loud
on social media, and it's it's just crazy to watch,

this week and it is a much watch And I

didn't get a chance to watch it yet, but y'all
the way you and Erica talked about it, I'm definitely
watching it to night. It's a great time to relive
and examine the star's biggest comeback of twenty nineteen. The
twenty tens were a tough decade for Eddie Murphy. He
has risen to fame as a brash comedy voice in
the nineteen eighties before transitioning fairly seamlessly into broad family

(49:14):
comedy movies. But yeah, just watching his life and as
you talked about it earlier today, Griff, he is the
goat and a lot of comedians mount truck rushmore so.

Speaker 2 (49:24):
And I really hope he's a good guy.

Speaker 4 (49:26):
You know, you don't want you one of me personalities
and you got in your mind how they really are.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
I really hope he's.

Speaker 3 (49:32):
In I never heard one person say I met Eddie
Murphy he was a jerk.

Speaker 2 (49:36):
Yeah, he doesn't even go out like that. Yeah, right,
I think you can tell you.

Speaker 3 (49:41):

like that. Yeah, and never after he did Raw, he
never did comedy again and that was I mean, I
know his movie career was everything, but man, just done
doing it. But he explains why. I don't want to
say nothing. You gotta watch it. It's actually kind of cool.

Speaker 4 (50:00):
Yeah, So I'm gonna watch it tonight, guys, and make
sure you guys watch it. So it's number one on Netflix,
all right. Philanthropist Mackenzie Scott Honey is still giving money

Speaker 4 (50:38):
Of course, she gave to Spelman and more House and man,
she is just really pouring into HBCUs. When people are
pulling funding from them, government funding, she's actually pouring into them.
And that's so absolutely amazing. And every time I hear
her giving to another school, I'm gonna make sure we
know about it and that we celebrate that. Yeah, that's

(50:59):
so absolutely amazing. Thank you, McKenzie Scott. My name is
Cheryl Jackson. You can hit me up at uh man.
