official with the effort first reported by The New York Times.
This operation comes amid escalating rhetoric from President Trump, who
recently criticized the Somali community and Minnesota Congresswoman Ilhan Omar.
During a cabinet meeting, the President said he does not
want some Mali immigrants in the United States, using inflammatory
(02:44):
language to describe the community and urging them to leave.
Wholesale Giant Costco filed a lawsuit seeking a full refund
of import duties that it paid under global tariffs imposed
by President Trump, arguing that only Congress has the authority
to levy tariffs. The suit, filed at the US Court
of International Trade, challenges the President's use of the international
(03:06):
emergency economic powers act to justify the terrorfs.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
US employers cut thirty two thousand jobs last month.
Speaker 8 (03:14):
That according to a new report from the payroll management
company ADP, signaling growing concerns about a weakening economy. ADP

Statistics jobs data, leaving Septembers one hundred and nineteen thousand
dollars job gained as the most significant and recent federal
snapshot from the Good News File. Nearly thirty daughters of
incarcerated men shared an emotional father daughter dance at the

The first ever event.
Speaker 8 (03:58):

I'm Cibil Wilkes, Be Informed, be empowered in Big Game.
Speaker 1 (04:19):
It's Chris, Get up Sports Minute.
Speaker 9 (04:22):
Oh Tonight's gonna be a good game in the NFL.
Dallas Cowboys at the Detroit Lions. Both of them really
kind of need to win this game, like it's not
even a I don't know. Dallas has been on the road,
Detroit being kind of slumping. We're gonna see the night
on Prime last night and men's college hoops, it was
(04:44):
a lot going on.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Number six. Louisville lost the number twenty five Arkansas eighty
nine to eighty. They was going crazy.
Speaker 9 (04:54):
And Fayetteville number twelve Alabama beat Clemson ninety to eighty four.
Speaker 1 (05:00):
This is just I don't know what the venos.
Speaker 9 (05:03):
Number ten Iowa State demolished our corn State one thirty
two to sixty eight. One tho they beat them by
Ben's forty, beat them boys by fifty four. I know
that was a plug for school money, but don't do
(05:23):
them boys like that.
Speaker 1 (05:24):
They already won in nine. Stop at them, Griff.
Speaker 9 (05:28):
That's your quigs boysmen in and sure with the birthdays,
thank you, Griff.
Speaker 5 (05:32):
If you're celebrating your birthday, you're celebrating today with Tyra Banks.
You're celebrating with Jay Z, actor Orlando Brown, actor Christopher B.
Speaker 1 (05:40):
Duncan Apostle Mike Freeman. His birthday is today.
Speaker 5 (05:44):
Bishop Jonathan Alvarado has a birthday as well, and if
it's your birthday, you get a chance to shout it out.
Coming up in fifteen minutes on the birthday, shout out
some get up more names with Erica Campbell.
Speaker 1 (06:00):
If you're listening, to get up right now a man. Yes,
it's time for the faith walk of the day. And listen.
Speaker 5 (06:14):
I love scriptures and songs, and I was glad when
they said up to me, let us go into the
house of floor. And I'm sure at your church at
some point in time somebody said that. But listen, when
I was growing up, I really was glad when it
was time to go to church. And that was for
a lot of reasons. It was a family church. All
my friends was there, our choiring youth ministries was cracking,
and so every time it was time to be there,
(06:35):
even if it was a meeting for the adults, the
kids would be there and we would all be playing
on the church parking lot, just you know, just building memories,
memories that I still have today.
Speaker 1 (06:44):
So the church for me has lots of good memories.
Speaker 5 (06:47):
Not to say that nothing bad ever happened, because of
course there were those, but the good memories are louder
for me. So when it comes to people who make
the House of God a bad place, and I'm not
talking about the ones that have had, you know, devastating
situations or life changing situations. I'm talking about those that
it was maybe someone that you like doesn't go there anymore,
(07:10):
or someone that you were friends with went on to
be with the Lord, and you will miss them.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
I don't think you should make the church the place
that you don't go.
Speaker 5 (07:20):
I will never forget that we were in acquire her. So,
like I said, our youth ministry was cracking. We had
youth will acquire her soul. And no adults were there.
Was just us because they knew we were serious about God.
And literally somebody came in off the streets. Now we
could tell she was a gang member, and we could
tell she had things you wasn't supposed to have in
the church building. But she said, I want to be saved,
and but I know I can't have this stuff and
(07:41):
be saved. So she laid off fair for Noli're right
there on the altar. We said Amen, We prayed for her,
and she gave her heart to the Lord right there
in that moment. She never stopped coming. She did still
struggle with some things, but she never stopped coming. And
even when she made mistakes, she never stopped coming. And
I had to kind of pastor and uncle that will
say you let them come just as they are. They
ain't gonna stay as they are. He was like, I
(08:02):
don't care what they smell like. You let them come
just as they are. They're not gonna stay as they are.
So I was never raised in a church that pushed
you away because you messed up. If you messed up,
that's when they will pull you in closer and want
to pray for you. So listen, those of you who
feel like you got to get yourself straight before you come,
you don't. I pray that you find the church that
will love you to health, that will be disciple you
(08:25):
into stronger faith that will walk with you through the
difficult times and through your issues. When people made a mistake,
they didn't have to run away and go move away.
They could come right there and say, y'all, this is
what's going on with me. That they gonna have you
in prayer meeting. They gonna get you together. They may
even tell you off a little bit, but you knew
without a shadow of a doubt that it was in
love and they were doing it to help restore you,
(08:46):
not to tear you down.
Speaker 1 (08:48):
And I hope that you find churches like that.
Speaker 5 (08:50):
I know it's not every church, and it breaks my
heart when I hear the devastating stories and what I
see people do, especially online. Now you can see all
the foolery going on. But guess what, they're still good churches.
There's still good people that want to help walk with
you as you can try your best to get to Christ.
Speaker 1 (09:06):
This is why we do.
Speaker 5 (09:08):
The Get Up Poll, we do the Church check in
because I know that they're good churches out there. So
we appreciate y'all for calling because somebody needs a church home.
And I pray you find a really good one, because
there really are some out there.
Speaker 10 (09:20):
All right.
Speaker 1 (09:20):

and I mean it.
Speaker 5 (09:23):

and not just foolery and feelings they actually stand on
the word of God. Were talking about them kind of

Lord and this ain't just his job. I'm talking about
them kind of churches all right. Back to birthdays. Call

But the rule was anybody that pray to any other god,
y'all gotta get through A.
Speaker 1 (17:37):
Wait a minute, take him through. Jesus, please be my
love leader. Outside the furnace, lady, come here, Why are
them boys not burned yet? They y'all burning? I put
him in the h in the fire, ain't there? No, no, no,
we I put three people. It's four people in there
(17:57):
right now. But let me see one little christ chicken nugget.
Three go check, you go check. We'll see if they
all in there just in three. Wait you want me
to go check? You go check? You want me to
go check in the fire right now? No, not in
just go stand over there and see if they still
in there. Go go go, go go check. It's really hot,
(18:23):
like I can't Jesus that. Meanwhile, inside the furnace, here, man, look, man, man,
we're not even your brother. There's Jesus. Look look at
cheese like he don't have blue eyes and look like
the bee gees. Yes right there, like Jesus, my child,
(18:48):
my child, I will always protect you against the fire.
Speaker 17 (18:51):
And it's Harris nappy. I love this look at this
is wonderful. I love your Jesus, I love you, my children,
I love you. You get mad at those pictures of you,
the blue out pictures of b She.
Speaker 1 (19:03):
Just something in all forms. My brother, my son, and
my child. Turn the fire down, turn the fire down.
Speaker 9 (19:08):
Helped him out, help him out, hurry up, get him
over here, dust them off talking, roll y'all, talk and
roll come here, come here, come here, man as God
truly is the living God. I just saw something just now,
now one more time, relapsed Cadillac.
Speaker 1 (19:29):
If anybody told you that you look like TD Jake's,
well there it is this Okay.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
So that was Kirk Franklin and let us see. They
were in studio with us and decided to play along.
Kirk and the assistant was, oh yeah, yes, oh man,
so much fun, so much fun. We just want you
to read the word of God. And clearly Griff needs
to because you know, do you know the names gone shack, dada,
(20:03):
da dad and not back and snap.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
Back you listening to Get Up Erica Camp.
Speaker 7 (20:19):
Of the Day on Get Up Mornings with Erica Cambo.
Speaker 5 (20:22):
Yes, it is time for the Erica Ism of the Day,
and h listen. I was traveling yesterday to get here
to Atlanta for the Soul Seeker recording, and you know
something that I don't enjoy delayed flights. So we me
and Tina got to the airport, and the airport was
very different from what I'm used to, right, And so
you know, we've been traveling for a long time, and
(20:43):
since we've been traveling for a long time, I generally
know how long it takes to get to the airport
and how long it takes to get through to get
to the gate.
Speaker 1 (20:50):
So I don't give myself a whole lot.
Speaker 5 (20:53):
Of time because this has been my pattern in my
process for the last few years.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
Right.
Speaker 5 (20:57):
But here's what I'm finding out and what I have
to accept and realize, and what all of us have
to accept and realize.
Speaker 1 (21:03):
Things change.
Speaker 5 (21:05):
Neighborhoods changed, the amount of people in your city, change, airports,
remodel and all those things. So what used to take
me thirty five minutes takes me now forty five minutes.
Speaker 1 (21:16):
What used to be you check in and go to
the gate is now you check in, you go to security.
Speaker 5 (21:22):
After security, because of the remodels, you go down back
to the front where baggage plan is. You walk under
the airport, then up, then back to the gate, almost
to the same place that you came from.
Speaker 1 (21:32):
And it's way longer.
Speaker 5 (21:35):
Sometimes it is hard to accept that things have changed,
and you spend the whole time in the place that
has changed talking about what was. You know, we used
to do this, you know it didn't take this long
like it's just and so I had to me and
Tina had to catch ourselves.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Man, why did it take so long to walk to
the gate.
Speaker 5 (21:51):
You can spend more time talking about what was, or
you can accept that it's longer, Give myself more time,
tell myself the time that it used to take.
Speaker 1 (21:59):
It takes longer.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
Don't fuss about it, don't complain about it, because it
ain't going back all right. There's more people in Los Angeles,
way more apartments, way more cars, way more things.
Speaker 1 (22:07):
So there's more traffic.
Speaker 5 (22:08):
And sometimes when life changes and things change, whether it
is your church, your job, your family, even your children,
you have to accept the change. Just like now that
christ is twenty one, I can't just call her and
say next week we're going here. Here here, I'm going Hey,
what's your schedule?
Speaker 1 (22:22):
Can we go here?
Speaker 13 (22:23):
Here?
Speaker 5 (22:23):
Here? Do I feel a way app sulutly, but do
I want to respect her as a twenty one year old.
Absolutely Accepting the things change is not always easy, but
it is very necessary, or else you'll spend your time
mourning the time that's gone, grieving the time that has gone,
never embracing the time that is. The people, the environment,
the culture, the changes as your church evolves. Listen, as
(22:47):
it should. They didn't do the same thing in Genesis
as they did in Matthew. Why because time changes and progresses,
and that is okay. Some people spend so much time
being upset that the music is different and they dress
in different and it ain't nobody wearing dresses, and they're
wearing hoodies to church, Lord Jesus and hats.
Speaker 15 (23:04):
I know.
Speaker 5 (23:05):
Listen, my grandmother would not be able to stand these
young girls coming in with hoodies and jeans.
Speaker 1 (23:11):
It would drive her crazy.
Speaker 5 (23:13):
But it's a new day and new time, right, and
so as you embrace it, you still be who you are.
Speaker 1 (23:19):
And what you've known is what you know. But put
it in the context of today so you can still
be effective. Put it in the context of today, so.
Speaker 5 (23:26):
You don't spend more time complaining about what is as
opposed to embracing what is right. That is my airchaism

It's another great day. This is Doctor Willy Jolly.
Speaker 6 (33:22):
Today's wake Up and Win messages about trust, how you
must have faith and trust when you are in the
tough times of life.
Speaker 1 (33:29):
In life, there will be days when it is dark.
Speaker 6 (33:31):
It's like being on a train and you're going into
a long tunnel and it is dark and you might
not be able to see anything, and you go around
curves and twists and turns.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
You can't see a thing, and you are not sure
what is going to happen next.
Speaker 6 (33:44):
I believe in those times of uncertainty that you must
trust who you must trust the engineer. I've learned to
trust the engineer who knows where the curves are and
knows how to get to the chosen destination. And my
engineer is a god of the universe. When I'm going
through darc times, I've decided to trust the engineer. I
know the god of the universe who knows where we
(34:05):
are going and how to get there, knows how to
take care of those who love him and who he loves.
Speaker 1 (34:10):
I recommend you do the same. This is doctor Willijolly.

Yesterday on Griff's Mister Griffin, he mentioned mother Lulas Spencer,
who lived to be one hundred and seven years old.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
Right Pastor E.
Speaker 5 (35:10):
Dewey Smith was her pastor, and he talked about it,
posted it on his socials. I remember when she turned
one hundred and seven and he literally went by her
house to love on her and talked to her children. Now,
Mother Spencer had six children who are all doing well,
and the oldest is ninety and the youngest is seventy nine.
And Mother Spencer's great grandson called yesterday after Griff mentioned
(35:33):
it on His Mister Griffin and left it on our
hotline saying he was thankful that he talked about his
family like that.
Speaker 1 (35:40):
He was in the car with his kids.
Speaker 5 (35:42):
And so that made me think about the impact that
we have on Get Up Mornings with Erica Campbell, the
things that we talk about your ministry moments. Yesterday, a
sister called in too, who lost her husband and was
holding on to every word you said on the.
Speaker 1 (35:58):
On the Faith Walk, and she was just like, I
need that so much.
Speaker 5 (36:02):
I need to share it with my family members of
what she's saying, you know, and you were talking about
processing through the pain. I was like, man, this show
has been a blessing, and so I want to talk
about that today. Periodically we'll ask how has Get Up
Mornings been a blessing to you? But I want you
to hear this young man's testimony that he left on
the hotline check out sus here.

honor to my heart.
Speaker 7 (36:51):

God for you guys, and God is just so wonderful, man.
Speaker 7 (36:57):
You know what I'm saying to give us.
Speaker 10 (36:59):
Long life like you said, to have all her children there.
You know that's something to look for, some of the
little proud for and to just thank God for. So
that blessed my heart.
Speaker 7 (37:11):
Man, to take my children they got to see.
Speaker 10 (37:14):
Their great great grandmother, and to take my children to school. Man,
to hear on the radio about my great grandmother, man
who's made history one hundred and seven years old. You know,
it was just so powerful man, and so and so greatful.
And I thank God for you, guys. Man, God bless
you guys.
