Today’s Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell delivered a powerful blend of spiritual encouragement, timeless Scripture, and real-life inspiration that left listeners uplifted and motivated. Erica kicked things off with a compelling Faith Walk — “Unwrap Your Spiritual Gifts,” reminding believers that God equips each of us uniquely for service and purpose, even when those gifts feel dormant or overlooked. This message set the tone for the show’s deep dive into identity and calling. Later, the E&G True Hollywood Bible Story brought to life the remarkable journey of Elizabeth and Zechariah — a faithful, devout couple of advanced age who were blessed with the birth of John the Baptist after years of waiting and prayer, illustrating that God’s timing and promises often reveal themselves in unexpected ways.

The episode also featured a heartfelt conversation with Charity Jordan, an artist, educator, and creator whose work bridges faith, family, and cultural relevance, offering listeners encouragement on following their own paths with courage and conviction. (Charity Jordan is known as an actress, educator, and advocate on social media and through MommyUncensored.TV, encouraging women and families.) Between birthday shoutouts, Ericaism: “Knowing God’s Voice,” and moments of confession and encouragement, the show wove a tapestry of grace, purpose, and hope — reminding everybody that spiritual gifts don’t expire, biblical stories still speak into our lives, and God’s voice is always inviting us deeper into our calling.

Speaker 8 (02:02):
Maryland lawmakers voted to override Governor Wes Moore's veto clearing
the way for the creation of a commission to study
potential reparations for slavery. The nation's only black governor, mister
Wes Moore argued that enough study was already done and
that the focus should shift to direct action, but Democratic
leaders said a formal commission is necessary to address legal

(02:25):
and constitutional questions. After the override, the governor said he
disagrees with the decision, but remains committed to working with
lawmakers on what he called the urgent.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Need of repair.

Speaker 8 (02:36):
Fulton County District Attorney Founding Willis clash with Republican State
Senator Greg Dolozov during a tense Georgia Senate Committee hearing Wednesday,
examining her prosecution of President Trump and how that case
was funded. The Republican led committee, created in January twenty
twenty four, investigates the allegations of misconduct tied to Willis's

(02:58):
case over efforts to overturn the twenty twenty election in Georgia.
DA Willis push back forcefully denying claims she decided to
prosecute President Trump before taking office and flatly calling that
accusation a lie. Home heating costs are expected to increase
nine point two percent this winter, with household spending an

(03:20):
average of nine hundred and ninety five dollars.

Speaker 1 (03:22):
That's up eighty four dollars from last year.

Speaker 8 (03:25):
Electric keating may jump twelve point two percent and natural
gas eight point four percent. That's well above the three
percent overall inflation rate. Since twenty twenty one, average monthly
electric bills have increased twenty nine percent and natural gas
nearly fifty percent. From the Good News File, one of
the year twenty twenty five's biggest stories was the selection

(03:47):
of the first American pope. An AP journalist in Chicago
recorded Pope Leo the fourteenth calling his brother during an
interview good times. Indeed, I'm Sybil wilkesp informed be power.

Speaker 1 (04:01):
In big game. It's good. Get up sports minute the
Bowl games.

Speaker 6 (04:07):
Last night in college football, Old Dominion beat the University
of South Florida twenty four to ten. Then the Delaware
Blue Hens didn't let the Raging Cages win twenty to thirteen.
My man, Sean is driving a truck right now. Sean,
the Michigan Helmets messed me up that whole game. Tonight

(04:29):
Missouri State versus Arkansas State at the Star in Frisco.

Speaker 1 (04:34):
In the NFL, the Rams take.

Speaker 6 (04:36):
On Seattle in Seattle for Thursday Night football on Prime.
Also in the NFL, the Dolphins bench quarterback Toua. They're
bringing in the rookie Texas's Quinn Yours to aven bench.
That's crazy. In the NBA, the Land Cleveland lost to
the Bulls one twenty seven and one eleven.

Speaker 1 (04:59):
Donovan Mitchell thirty two.

Speaker 6 (05:00):
Points in the loss, and then the Memphis Grizzlies top

Speaker 2 (05:44):
If you're listening to get up with Erica Camble. Faith
Walk right now, hey man, new faith walk.

Speaker 3 (05:54):
Well the people, It's time for the faith Walk of
the day and Can you imagine getting someone a gift
and they never open it.

Speaker 1 (06:02):
Can you imagine.

Speaker 3 (06:02):
Watching someone be excited about something they wanted, something you
knew they wanted that you got for them, but they
never opened the gift. Wouldn't that feel weird? Wouldn't that
feel a little disrespectful? You know, It's how I feel
when the kids unwrap their gifts and they stay downstairs
in the living room for about a week.

Speaker 1 (06:20):
Man, I be wanting to take them back.

Speaker 3 (06:22):
Imagine how God feels when you don't use your gift.
Imagine how God feels when you make your gift based
on what somebody else said, whether you use it or not,
as based on what somebody else.

Speaker 1 (06:33):
Said, they won't like me, they won't do this, and
I don't know.

Speaker 3 (06:37):
And God, the King of Kings, the Lord of lords,
the Creator gave you a gift and you don't use it?

Speaker 1 (06:45):
How much? How must the Father feel?

Speaker 3 (06:48):
I challenge you today to look at yourself and say,
am I using my gift for God's glory? Am I
using it the gift that he gave me? Am I
giving it back to him? I love the scripture that
talks about Hannah when she wanted a son and she
prayed for something she could give back to God. She
didn't pray for something for herself. She wasn't asked for
a gift so she could show her friends. Look, I

(07:10):
can have babies too, She said, Lord, if you give
me a son, I will give him back to you,
and she did. Are you giving the gift God gave
you back to him? Are you using it for the kingdom?
Are you using it to draw souls to bring glory
to his name? Are you using it to change the
narrative about believers and who we are and what we
do and how we live in the world. I challenge

(07:30):
you to make sure you use and your gift. It
is not for somebody that they don't even recognize my gift.
They didn't give it to you. God did do it
for his glory. You know, they just be taking advantage
of me the way you take advantage of God's grace.
Stop it, y'all. The devil tricks us, the enemy tricks
us and gets us caught up in not using our
gift for God's glory. He didn't give it to you

(07:52):
for their applause. If they clap, that's good, but if
he gets glory, that's better. So we have to manage
our heart, make sure insecurity is not in the way,
make sure people pleasing is not in the way, and
use our.

Speaker 1 (08:02):
Gift for God's glory. You could be.

Speaker 3 (08:05):
Somewhere change in the world. You gotta walk in the
divine confidence that God gave it to you. Unwrap the
gift and use it for His glory. All right, that
is my faith walk for the day. Now it's birthday.
Shout out time. Give us a call if you want

In the Book of Luke, in the first chapter, Zachariah
and Elizabeth were righteous in God's eyes, careful to obey
all of the Lord's commandments and regulations. They had no
children because Elizabeth was unable to conceive, and they were
both very old. Well, Zachariah was in the sanctuary, an
angel of the Lord appeared unto him, standing to the
right of the incense altar.

Speaker 6 (14:24):

Speaker 3 (16:37):
Angel said you can't talk because you didn't.

Speaker 1 (16:46):
You didn't believe in Angel. Than I was so confused. Okay,
have a baby, Praise the Lord. And later, just a moment,
I'm coming, Just a moment. Oh hey Mary, how are you, Liz?

(17:08):

he can't believe. So it's real.

Speaker 3 (19:24):
We want y'all to read the Word of God. Get
into the word and let it change your life. Get
Up Mornings, y'all.

Speaker 1 (19:39):
If you're listening to Get Up Eric Campbell.

Speaker 16 (19:45):
Day, Get Up Mornings with Erica.

Speaker 1 (19:48):
So listen.

Speaker 3 (19:50):
When I'm at my house, there's a specific sound that
I know all my kids here. It'll cut through the noise,
you know. So I don't call their names. It's just
the sound that I make. An any time my kids
hear it, they know it's me. Doesn't matter if we
at a mall, at a movie, at a shopping center,
they will always hear me.

Speaker 1 (20:08):
I do it at church.

Speaker 3 (20:09):
They know what this sound is because they're my kids
and they talk to me, and they know when they
hear this, let's get to Mama immediately. I want to
know about your ability to hear God. Sometimes when I
do this sound, if they're really far away, it'll be
really faint. But because they recognize the faint, whether it
is loud or whether it is quiet, they always know

(20:30):
it's me. We know the scripture, my sheep know my voice,
and a stranger they will not follow. I think a
lot of us do know the voice of God, but
I just think sometimes we're so far away it's faint
and you can't hear it. Or you have too much
noise going on in your life, what you're worried about,
what you're thinking about, what you want to.

Speaker 1 (20:48):
Do, your money, your man, who did what.

Speaker 3 (20:50):
All the things that can get in your hair, and
sometimes it's just random foolishness from Facebook.

Speaker 1 (20:56):
It's all in your ear.

Speaker 3 (20:57):
And so God's ability to your ability to hear God
has minimized because there's so much going on. I want
you to challenge you to quiet your spirit today so
you hear the Father.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
Quiet your spirit.

Speaker 3 (21:10):
Maybe as you drive, don't turn nothing on maybe as
you drive, just ask everybody in a car to be quiet,
or you got your alone time, literally, let it just
be you and God. A lot of times why we
can't hear is because it's too much. It ain't because
he ain't talking. It ain't because his voice ain't heard.
But sometimes we've been listening to so many other things
we cannot hear him. My prayers that you hear God

(21:31):
when he speaks, when he gives instructions, when he tells you,
when he tells you yeses, and knows. And I pray
that when he tells you to do things that feel uncomfortable,
like forgiving or speaking to somebody that you haven't spoken
to in a long time, you don't doubt him and
you don't question them.

Speaker 1 (21:45):
You just say yes.

Speaker 3 (21:46):
Become so acquainted with his voice that the moment he
speaks is the moment that you hear it. That you
spent time in worship, that you spent time listening to him,
understanding his word and how he speaks, so you're not
thrown off. I hear way too many people like I'm
just kind of waiting to hear his voice. What does
his voice sound like as a believer, if you've been

(22:08):
in church for a while, it is time for you
to get acquainted with the voice of God. How do
you do that? You start with getting in his presence
and getting in his word. As you get in his presence,
you'll begin to hear him speak to your heart. Maybe
not an audible voice, but you'll you'll hear him speak
to your heart. And usually what God is asking you
to do is not what the devil's asking you to do. Right,
So God told me that y'all ain't right and I

(22:30):
need to leave here and go somewhere better because God
ain't messy, y'all. He don't work like that. God say
he's gonna take everything for you. Well, was that God
speaking or was that what you want God to do.
Let's make sure we get acquainted with how the Father
works so when he speaks, you recognize him. God speaking
is usually requiring you to do something that is a

(22:52):
stretch for you. You know, Like when I first start
getting requested to speak at church, I was like, oh, no, no, no,
I don't do that. I sing, And then the request
kept coming and then I heard the Lord saying, will
you speak for me? And I had to say yes

You start in this movie Vera's a holiday flop along
with our very own star Griff.

Speaker 1 (28:50):
Tell us a little bit about this story.

Speaker 10 (28:52):
Oh man, it's a hilarious morom come for the holidays,
full of friendship and foolish myth just talking about them
for getting together for the holidays, which should be pretty normal,
except when you got friends like Griff in real life
or for Chain like it's gonna end up being a
whole bunch of mets. So it's a lot of fun,
it's a lot of chaos. It's some romance and some

(29:12):
sweet little.

Speaker 1 (29:14):
But not too much.

Speaker 10 (29:15):
Now to get up the fast forward or nothing.

Speaker 6 (29:19):
Well, I just also like to say, not only is
she the star and she plays Vera, but she wrote it,
she directed it, her and her husband put it together.

Speaker 1 (29:29):
Shout out to justin charity.

Speaker 6 (29:31):
What how how surreal is it getting that in some
days everything that you did by yourself independent is about
to be on BD bluffs.

Speaker 10 (29:41):
Girl, last listen, I'm just I'm just you know, smiling
in the public and praising in private. You know what
I mean with God just really on my face. You
hear me that little Oh well, yet you be on
your faith worship because He did it right. We had
a dream we wanted to bet on ourselves. He said,
you know, I want to be I want to be

(30:02):
a main a main leading woman. I want to be beautiful.
I want to I want to tell a story of
the way. I like to tell stories that are fun
and that have good endings. And we weren't seeing that
a lot. I wasn't getting at those auditions through the
box of my husband. And I just said, came together
and I started writing the story about four years ago.
I was just writing just things that came to my
mind that I thought was funny. And then we said, okay,
we've been begging somebody. We're gonna just do what I said.

Speaker 1 (30:23):
That's on our self.

Speaker 10 (30:24):
So maybe I said, Lord, I'm calling down all them
top gifts and offerings reproof that you had. David shut
it on myself for a little bit, Okay, but I
got him in the back end. But you know, it's
just surreal to see how God will not let you down.

Speaker 6 (30:38):
It is.

Speaker 10 (30:39):
He is not a man that he should lie nor
I is he gonna give you something to the shit
on it?

Speaker 1 (30:44):
Like? Lord, just me.

Speaker 10 (30:46):
I mean, I could have been a doctor of something
that people come to every day. You told me to
be an actress. You told me to be a creative,
and so you're not gonna sit on it. You're gonna
come through. And he's done it in a miraculous way.
It's such a good film. The cast, y'all, the cast
is amazing. Like it's a holiday classic. It's National Lampoons
meets Friday Needs Christmas Story with Raffie and the tongue.

Speaker 12 (31:06):
It's y'all.

Speaker 1 (31:08):
I love it. So what was the energy like on set?

Speaker 6 (31:11):
Man?

Speaker 10 (31:12):
Now you already know what the energy like in your
in your studio every day with.

Speaker 1 (31:15):
That it was So what's the craziest thing that he
did on set? Though? Griff not? The listens tail on
him real good? What do you do?

Speaker 10 (31:23):
Yeah, I gotta tell on him, Griff. You know his voice.
He don't know how to whisper, I said, Griff. When
I say when they say quiet all around, that means
you not talking, he said, I was with sporring. I'm spray.
I can hear you upstairs in the dressing room. I
can hear you can hear me. I'll be like, oh God,
there was a lot of grip.

Speaker 1 (31:43):
Shut up. I love it, y'all. It's various holiday flop.

Speaker 3 (31:50):
It lands on b E T Plus December eighteenth, just
in time for the holiday. What message do you want
viewers to walk away with?

Speaker 10 (31:58):
You know, I want you to walk away knowing that
any things possible, and forgiveness is a real catalyst for
change in friendship, in relationship, that fun, it is possible,
that laughter is healing, and that you can do it.

Speaker 1 (32:10):
Listen, this is just a dream.

Speaker 10 (32:12):
I'm a teacher, baby, I'm my classroom right now. I
shout out to my kids who I got on silent
mute right there? Hold him no saying nothing, but come on,
I'm a dreamer, dreamer, I'm a mind, I'm a wife.
You know what I mean of eighteen years to the
same man.

Speaker 1 (32:24):
Hallelujayo and hallelujah. You know what that is.

Speaker 10 (32:27):
So I would walk away knowing that if you have
a dream and God put that dream in you, He's
not gonna let you down. And this is proof watching
Viewa's holl of the Flop starting December.

Speaker 1 (32:36):
Eighteenth on beet Plus. No clapping up.

Speaker 6 (32:40):
I'm just excited to be in there in the future
for what you are going to do, ladies and gentlemen.
Charity Jordan, thank you for stopping by, says, I'm excited
about it.

Speaker 1 (32:51):
I'm anxited about this.

Speaker 12 (32:52):
I love you.

Speaker 1 (32:52):
I love you.

Speaker 10 (32:53):
Griff is amazing. I love you, y'all. Blessed people keep
shining and keep making us with the glory of God
beyond us.

Speaker 3 (32:59):
So thank you and you do the same. All right, y'all,
we got more on the way to get up Pole.
It's coming up next. I'll get up morning.

Speaker 2 (33:15):
If you're listening to Get Up with Erica camp It's
time to wake up and win with doctor Willie Jolly
with Erica Campbell.

Speaker 1 (33:30):
Hey, it's another great day.

Speaker 13 (33:31):
This is doctor Willy Jolly, author of the book is
set Back as a set up for a comeback.

Speaker 1 (33:35):
And host of the Willa Jolly Wealthy Ways podcast.

Speaker 13 (33:38):
As we celebrate this wonderful time of the year, I
have a special twelve Days of Christmas program to help
you and your family to win more each and every day.
On the seventh day of Christmas, I want to share
the gift of courage.

Speaker 1 (33:50):
Courage is a decision.

Speaker 13 (33:52):
Maya Angelou said, in order to be the best you
that you can be, you must decide to have courage.
They take courage to be fair, courage to be kind,
courage to be honest, and courage to live your dreams.
Courage does not come easily, but from it you can
become so much stronger. Nelson Mandela said that courage is
not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.

(34:15):
And I say that courage is having fear and moving
forward anyway.

Speaker 1 (34:20):
This Christmas, share the gift of courage. This is doctor
WILLI Jolly go to win with Willie dot com.

Speaker 13 (34:26):
Win with Willie dot Com for resources to help you
and your family to win more. And remember to make
the most of each and every minute because your best
is still yet to come.

Speaker 1 (34:34):
Merry Christmas, you've heard from us. I'm so excited really
because I got all right, Cheryl, what are we talking
about today? All right?

Speaker 3 (34:46):
So, according to the national calendar, is Thursday, Thursday before
Christmas is National Regifting Day.

Speaker 1 (34:53):
National Regifting Day.

Speaker 3 (34:54):
Now this poses the question is regifting tasteless? Like I know,
we about to go into the Christmas season, and I'm
sure it's gonna be some gifts that you know, you're
gonna look at and be like thank y'all. I mean,
we talked about it, gifts that we didn't you know,
necessarily like it like, and so the question is do
you regift it?

Speaker 1 (35:13):
Like do you give it to somebody?

Speaker 3 (35:14):
Now, for me, I'm nervous to regift because I'm I
don't know if I've.

Speaker 1 (35:19):
Just feel in the back of my mind this person going, no,
I just.

Speaker 3 (35:21):
I just gifted this, you know what I mean, Like
she just gave me a second hand gift. But the
idea is to you know, keep it package, keep it nice.
And so those people who do regift, they you know,
they're saying that they want to give the gift a home,
a place where people can actually use it.

Speaker 1 (35:37):
So it's that thought too, you know what I mean.
So yeah, that's the get up poll. Do you regift
you give America?

Speaker 3 (35:43):
I do, And I don't see anything wrong with it,
like that you're not going to use and it's nice, yeah,
and it's nice and it's still packaged up, like I
don't see the problem with it, you know.

Speaker 1 (35:56):
Can you get a motorcycle pillow or jacket.

Speaker 3 (36:00):
Oh yeah, yeah, my cousin gave me a Harley Davison bill.
I don't ride motorcycle. I can't remember who I gave
it to. Definitely got it up out of here my house.

Speaker 17 (36:12):
My house.

Speaker 3 (36:12):
He's so full with people giving me random things that
I can't use and I don't ask for right. You know,
when you speak in you know places and they give
you these fifth big gift back. I just spoken to
Pace from who they gave me this amazing gift basket.
And when I say everything, and it was she gave
me Valentino cologne.

Speaker 1 (36:30):
It was so you know what I mean.

Speaker 3 (36:32):
It was a beautiful gift. But some of those gift
baskets be like, right.

Speaker 1 (36:36):
I don't.

Speaker 3 (36:37):
I got another journal, I got like five journal I
got a hundred journals. I got money. But I do
have a lot of journals and I like them. But
I'm with Erica.

Speaker 6 (36:45):
I don't if I don't like something that I'm gonna
give it to somebody who I know I like it,
and it's not even that I don't like it, but
I can't use it, or I have another one of
these already, or I got my brother catches a lot
of I don't like stuff.

Speaker 1 (37:00):
Yeah, shout out, that's Taylor's little brother.

Speaker 3 (37:03):
I mean, Kayla, be like what you got, what you
got because if yeah, Kayla gets a lot of mine too.
So I got a I got the thousand sisters. Somebody
gonna take this stuff exactly. We want this shirt, we
want this roll, we want these house shoes.

Speaker 1 (37:18):
The shirt to no more up grifo.

Speaker 3 (37:23):
So listen, everywhere I go, they give me a T shirt,
and the rewhere I go, they give me a T shirt, right,
and so I told them, don't give me no more
T shirts.

Speaker 1 (37:31):
I love y'all. Y'all was sending them all to no.

Speaker 6 (37:34):
We had a ready of collected T shirts that we
had gotten like in the months. She was like, as
soon as at the top up she changed her whole face.

Speaker 1 (37:44):
Was like, don't ever bring me another T shirt? Every
one none.

Speaker 3 (37:48):
But the question is do you regave? Do you think
there's something wrong with regifting? Give us a call eight
seven seven two for two two for two.

Speaker 1 (37:55):
Six, give us a call. We're talking about regifting, y'all.
If you're listening to get up Eric, you've heard from.

Speaker 18 (38:08):
Us, because I got through it.

Speaker 3 (38:14):
Morning. Y'all know the holiday season is upon us and
many people will be regifting, and we want to know
what you feel about it?

Speaker 1 (38:21):
Is it? Is it off?

Speaker 3 (38:22):
Have you ever done it? Let's go to the phones
and talk to Angie and v A. Hey, Angie, how
do you feel about regifting?

Speaker 10 (38:28):
I actually laughed at this question.

Speaker 5 (38:31):
It is so funny because I normally don't call him,
but I was laughing myself to death. So my daughter
gave me a Christmas present one year, and I have
so much stuff, so I regifted it to her sister
the following year and she was like, Mom, you do
know that I gave you that Christmas present? I'm like,

(38:58):
could have gave it to something.

Speaker 1 (39:04):
That is Yeah, I died.

Speaker 17 (39:08):
I died.

Speaker 10 (39:09):
I'm laughing.

Speaker 1 (39:13):
Thank you for calling. We appreciate you.

Speaker 3 (39:16):
Ya okay, by love Tasha and George is on the line.
Hey Tasha, how do you feel about regifting?

Speaker 19 (39:28):
I thank you.

Speaker 20 (39:29):
Absolutely often regift for some reasons. I believe you're we're friends,
and we're a family that you know exactly what I
like and don't like. But if we're not that code
I understand, but surely.

Speaker 1 (39:44):
Well, thank you. I appreciate it.

Speaker 6 (39:46):
Well.

Speaker 3 (39:46):
Listen, all family don't always know what you like because
I'm able to tell my family don't get me this
no more, so I understand this.

Speaker 1 (39:53):
Thank you for calling.

Speaker 10 (39:54):
All right, thank you.

Speaker 6 (39:55):
Let's go to Maryland and talk to Naomi. Naomi, are
you one of them people?

Speaker 1 (39:59):
Really? If you got regifted something.

Speaker 19 (40:02):
Oh, it doesn't matter, it doesn't bother me whatsoever because
it's from I believe it comes from the heart of
a person and they really care and sometimes you know
that's what they want to do. But I think if
I regift something and receive something, I would give it
like to the people are homeless, those on the streets, shelters,
victims from fires. You know, those people will appreciate it.

(40:25):
So if I did receive a regifted gift, I'll just
givet a regift, the gift to somebody in need.

Speaker 1 (40:31):
Yeah, yeah, I love it. That's how we feel too.
Thank you for calling today.

Speaker 19 (40:35):
God bless you guys.

Speaker 6 (40:36):
Let's go to Philly and talk to our girl, Ronnie
Ray regift in or taking regifts?

Speaker 17 (40:43):
Yeah, hey, oh y'all remember me.

Speaker 1 (40:44):
Oh, I'm so humble.

Speaker 10 (40:47):
Listen, this is what we do.

Speaker 17 (40:49):
My family starts is years ago before this was even
a thing. So you know, you go to a party
or whatever and whatever. And people will give you gifts
and they mean well and you open.

Speaker 10 (40:58):
The gift up and it ain't for you. If we
take it to local.

Speaker 17 (41:01):
Thirst store, will take it to a shelter because somebody there.

Speaker 10 (41:05):
Will appreciate it, you know what I mean.

Speaker 1 (41:07):
And it's nice.

Speaker 10 (41:08):
And then I got the other hand of my.

Speaker 17 (41:10):
Family, they're like, oh man, that's that's that's that's thank whatever.
You know, turn was out back in that day, whatever
and the like and I and then when we start realizing, like,
you don't do that.

Speaker 1 (41:20):
First of all, you appreciate the fact that people.

Speaker 17 (41:22):
Gave you something you can't turn over somebody else.

Speaker 1 (41:24):
That's absolutely I love. Okay, thank you, Ronny. Good to
hear your boys football as well.

Speaker 17 (41:30):
Your happy holidays, y'all.

Speaker 1 (41:31):

Speaker 3 (41:45):
I love to get up church. Thank y'all for calling

Find out what everybody's talking about right now?

Speaker 1 (42:54):
Take it over the web.

Speaker 5 (42:56):
What is it?

Speaker 3 (42:57):
It's trending topics up to the minute, all right, share
l tell us what is trending? All right, we've been
talking about it and a different world. The reboot is
about to hit Netflix, but they are releasing the cast now.
I wasn't sure, but it is confirmed that Jasmine Guy
and Kadeem Hartisan is going to be a part of
this series. So they've been added to the cast, as

(43:19):
well as Darryl Bell and Creed Summers as Ron and Freddy.
They're coming back as well. And so yeah, so it's
going to be executive produced by Debbie Allen, and it's
gonna kick off ten episodes. They're only gonna be thirty
minute episodes, so just like a sitcom, and I think
it's gonna be amazing. I'm really excited about it. So, Griff,
you said you never got into a different world though, right,

(43:40):
because you were. You were probably in the military when
that came out.

Speaker 1 (43:43):
And that was just random and shaming at the same.

Speaker 3 (43:46):
No, no, no, I just remembered that. I've been working
on looking at some of the old footage. Okay, all right,
but I'm excited. It's one of these didn't even come
out good.

Speaker 1 (44:05):
It's okay, I'm gonna watch the new one. I'm gonna
watch the new one, which will make me want to
watch the original one.

Speaker 9 (44:13):
Yeah.

Speaker 3 (44:13):
You know what, if you've gone to college or ever
wanted to go, this is one of those apps those
you know, shows that kind of made you want to right,
so I love it. So yeah, so that's gonna be
kicking off. And of course we'll give you the date
when it's going to be released. But today they just
released the cast, so that's gonna be awesome. All right,
here's another good thing, because you know it's Grammy Season.
Three of music's biggest names are set to receive major

(44:36):
honors during Grammy Week twenty twenty six to Recording. The
Recording Academy announced that Brandy, Kirk Franklin, and Pharrell Williams
will be honored during the Recording Academy Honors event hosted
by the Black Music Collective. Now, last last year, Warren
was awarded, right was he awarded in the Black Music Collective?

(44:57):
I remember though, I remember it being him getting some
kind of kind of award that week, and I thought
it was that one. But Pharrell is set to receive
the Doctor Dre Global Impact Award recognizing his achievements and
so yeah, and so Brandy and Kirk Franklin are set
to receive Black Music Icon Awards, toasting to their artistry, innovation,

(45:18):

Speaker 1 (50:10):
Eric.

Speaker 6 (50:10):
I I loved your erica ism knowing God's voice, and
a long time ago you sent me a video of
a man or. It was like a field trip of
kids and they was all somewhere where it was a
gang of sheep and they was all calling the sheep,
calling sheep sheep didn't move, and then a man called

(50:30):
him and they all moved, like hundreds of sheeps just
and they was all saying the same thing, all saying
the same thing. And that was such a great visual
when when I think about hearing God's voice.

Speaker 3 (50:44):
Absolutely yes, and it's a powerful and a necessary thing
in our lives to recognize his voice, because you know,
we all listen every it's daily. It's small things like
don't go down that street and then you'll realize there
was an accident there, or go call so and so
and you don't know what they were going. So I
think that it is so important, not I think, I
know it is crucial for believers to know the voice

(51:06):
of God.

Speaker 1 (51:06):
We thank y'all for rocking wood us. Listen.

Speaker 3 (51:08):
You don't never know what you're gonna get. You may
get a good strong word or a good strong laugh.
They all matter here at the Get Up Church. Let's
end with the word of prayer. God, I thank you
so much for this day, for your goodness, mercy and grace,
for this show, for everybody under the sound of my voice.

Up mornings.

Speaker 3 (51:24):
I thank you for everybody that comes to work those
that we don't get a chance to see.

Speaker 1 (51:28):
Lord, we say thank you.

Speaker 3 (51:29):
For helping us spread your word, the fact that you
love us and that you care, and there's somebody thinking
about you. And I thank you God for keeping us
in the center of your will and the palm of
your hand covers with your blood, keep us safe from
all hurt, harm and danger and extra special blessing for
those hurting right now.

Speaker 1 (51:45):
