On today’s Get Up! Mornings with Erica Campbell, listeners were uplifted and inspired through a powerful convergence of faith and music. The Faith Walk, titled We Already Won, reminded listeners of their victory in Christ and encouraged them to stand firm during uncertain seasons. Erica’s Erica-ism of the Day, Faith and Credit, challenged the audience to trust in God’s promises even when life seems uncertain. The visually-rich True Hollywood Bible Story, featuring the healing of Peter’s mother-in-law, reinforced the power of faith in Jesus’ transformative work.

Gospel artist Rudy Currence joined for the interview segment to talk about his new single “God Don’t Cancel Me,” an anthem rooted in resilience and God’s unwavering grace. He shared how the song blends soulful melodies with a message that no one is beyond redemption. Dr. Willie Jollie encouraged practical progress with his segment on “Tough Times and People,” while Erica explored emotional boundaries and the importance of healthy relationships. Today’s show was a harmonious blend of scripture, self-determination, and soulful expression—providing listeners with spiritual tools and heartfelt encouragement for the day ahead.

need to know. A newly surfaced video from a February
traffic stop in Jacksonville, Florida, shows officers breaking William McNeil
Junior's car window punching him during an arrest, sparking an
internal investigation. The twenty two year old McNeil shared the
video on social media, explaining he was pulled over for

(02:49):
driving without headlights and requested a supervisor before the situation escalated.
The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office says it's reviewing the officer's use
of force. One month after dismissing Telsey Gabberd's views on Iran,
President Trump is now embracing her latest claims about the
twenty sixteen election. As Director of National Intelligence, Gabert appeared

(03:11):
at the White House Wednesday to unveil newly declassified documents
she said prove former President Obama knowingly misled the public
about Russian interference. Gabert alleges the Obama administration directed intelligence
officials to produce.

July is Black Family Month, a time to honor the
legacy and love that bind generations together, especially through the
tradition of the family reunion. While some may feel these
gatherings are fading, many Black families across the country continue
to come together to celebrate, share stories, and preserve their roots.

(04:13):

healing and reconnection, these reunions remain powerful reminders of resilience
heritage and the unbreakable bond of family, and don't forget

Another time they played a video they was trying to

(05:00):
hit her, choked up, and then she beat them.

Speaker 1 (05:02):
How about that.

Speaker 6 (05:03):

Speaker 2 (06:14):
If you're listening to get up camp Faith walk right
now a man faith walk.

Speaker 4 (06:25):
Yes, it is time for the faith walk of the day.
And listen, y'all. I learned something really cool. So like
in the Bible when there were kings, kings didn't sit
on their thrones during battle one it made them an
immediate target.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
They didn't.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
They would stand and oversee the battle so they could
give instruction. But they had to kind of stick and
move and you know what I mean. So the enemy
wouldn't know they're sitting on their throne. Go, you know,
blow them up and tear them up right now, So
while they were in battle, they would not sit on
the throne.

Speaker 1 (06:52):
Okay, I just found that out.

Speaker 4 (06:54):
Now, fast forward to Revelation where he says over and
over again he was seated on the throne. He will
seated on the throne. Right, the Father is seated on
the throne. We see that all through scripture. Why is
God seated on the throne? Here's what I found out, y'all,
because every battle that would be fought is already one.

Speaker 1 (07:12):
God don't have.

Speaker 4 (07:12):
To get up in roam Heaven to give strategy and
all of that, because the battle is already one. He's
already promised us the victory. He's already overcome every enemy.
And so all we are doing is fighting to keep
the victory because God is sitting on the throne because
he already knows that the battle is one. I want
to tell somebody today that's waiting on God to come through.

(07:33):
He already came through. I need you to praise him
like you already have the victory. I need you to
put your mind in the place of victory and ask
God for strategy to walk out your victory. Don't walk
it out like you're still trying to figure it out,
because he's not. He already knows, like he's still trying
to make away the way he's already been made, like
he still needs to get you your stuff. Your stuff
is already ready for you. Get ready to walk in
the victory that God already has for you. He's seated

(07:55):
on the throne. He has conquered death, hell, and the grave,
and we are promised that victory, so we don't have
to be living our lives and angst. And if he will,
he can he I hope he might. He already has us.
He already has given us the victory. So let's operate
like we have it. Let's live like we have it.
Let's talk like we have it. Let's operate in our

(08:16):
lives like we already have the victory.

Speaker 1 (08:19):
Don't you worry, don't stress.

Speaker 4 (08:20):
We serve a king who is seated on the throne
because every single battle has already been one.

Speaker 1 (08:27):
Ah.

Speaker 4 (08:27):
That encouraged my soul so much. I hope that bless
you like it did me. I love finding out new
Bible information. I know we see sit it on the throne,
seated on the throne, But did you know why?

Speaker 1 (08:37):
Because he already won every battle. Man.

Speaker 4 (08:39):
That's so encouraging. I hope it encourages you like it
encourages me. All right, get in that word of God
and let it change and bless your life and strengthen
your faith and your walk with Christ. All right, guys,

Book of Luke, chapter four and thirty eight spoke of
Jesus saying, and here arose out of the synagogue and
entered into Simon's house, and Simon's wife's mother was taken
with a great fever, and they besought him for her.

Don't worry. We'll just be right there. Can't he here,
my mama, man, I don't know. That's asking a lot.

Speaker 4 (14:37):
Well, listen, first of all, you've been gone right, I
know what's sick. And you said he heal people, and
you won't.

Speaker 1 (14:42):
Even ask the Messiah. He won't ask him if he
can heal my mind?

Speaker 6 (14:46):
He can no I'm not saying I won't ask him.
I'm just saying that we are healing a bunch of people.
And how we know your mama really need healing and
if she just don't need the water or something like, she's.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Just because she's just laying in the bed. She just
hot for no reason. Just she just ain't talking for
no reason. Want me to ask scared you? No, I'm
not scared. I'm just we are on we are healing people.

Speaker 1 (15:06):
We are and my mama is sick. So let me
ask some giddy my mama. Yeah, that's while I'm asking myself. No, no, no, no, no, Jesus,
no no, no, I'll ask, I'll talk to I'll talk
to him. Jesus, Friend, hold on, Jesus, hey Jesus.

Speaker 6 (15:22):

Say, come here, come here, hey, Jesus, you look wonderful.
Thank you so much, Jesus. I'm about to friend. Can
I help you?

Speaker 1 (15:42):
All right? You know we in that we are on
our healing. You are healing so well.

Speaker 6 (15:48):
Also, I just like to say that you, I mean,
your healing is.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
Like I'm gonna ask you. You know I'm married, Okay, we.

Speaker 6 (15:58):
All talk about it because healing you, I'm with you.
It's not about me anyway. But I do have a wife,
and she's my mother, My mother in love is sick, Jesus,
and if we can just very high.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Faver home down home down now, she's a very high
it's my wife. She uh, she's she's warm, she's a
little warmer than she should be.

Speaker 6 (16:23):
So if you, Jesus, if you could just come, maybe
buy the by her bed and just take a look
with it. I don't need you wasting healing, I mean
not wasting what.

Speaker 1 (16:34):
You saying it just stop talking, pray from well.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Calm down, okay, Jesus, welcome. What is it she was asking?
He asked it crazy? But could you just pray for
my MoMA?

Speaker 1 (16:46):
Thank you so much, Jesus. But where is your mother?
Where's your much?

Speaker 4 (16:49):
She's she's there in the bed. So she has a
really hot fever. She is, she's.

Hard, she's a little warm.

Speaker 4 (16:56):
Peter, my friend, Jesus, could you pay for because you
pay for my MoMA?

Speaker 1 (17:02):
Of course I will. Don't be so scary. Why you
keep cheating?

Speaker 2 (17:05):
I wouldn't be.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
You was you know.

Speaker 6 (17:09):
I was just trying to tell him, because you can't
just ask him to just heal people like that.

Speaker 4 (17:14):
I order why you can't, Why you can't just say, gee,
my mother, you took too long, that's why I had
this way.

Speaker 1 (17:20):
Oh she had a fever. I didn't even tell him
I was married. That's a whole problems. But we go
a whole another thing. He pray, he pray.

Speaker 10 (17:30):
And Jesus stood over her and rebuked the fever.

Speaker 1 (17:33):
Let me grab your hand. Let me grab your hand. Father,
heal this woman. Hold your friend. You got there? Hello, Hello,

Hell yeah, God, I be you so about peace, be

(18:23):

you know I wouldn't have. I just appreciate you coming through.

Speaker 1 (18:37):
Just thank you so. And can't she cook? Watch this foods? Though, Jesus,
she can't can get down. Oh you don't like you
like fool better than mine? What you're trying to know?
That's not what I'm saying.

Speaker 6 (18:50):
I'm just saying while she up there, can I just
say the all voice over ages, we are him.

Speaker 1 (18:59):
Eric nine characters. She was a terrible wife. He was
a terrible but the low self estate husband judo.

Speaker 4 (19:11):
All right, not even asked. Listen, read the Bible, y'all.
That's what we want you to do. Check it outist
from look for and thirty eight through forty.

Speaker 1 (19:22):
Get up? What does y'all stick around? We got more
on the way.

Speaker 2 (19:32):
If you're listening to Get Up with Erica Cambo Real
Eric of the Day.

Speaker 3 (19:39):
On Get Up Mornings with Erica campb.

Speaker 4 (19:42):
So last night was Bible study at Calli Worship and
as usual, doctor Lynn Richardson U is doing a series
on faith and finances, and last night she was talking
about credit. Ooh, y'all, she got us so together last
night because she talked about having int pegrity uh and
understanding Luke six point thirty one to do unto us

(20:04):
or others as you would have them do unto you
applies to credit as well. She talked about treating your
creditors like you would like your debtors to treat you.
She talked about being honest with your word. She said,
how would it feel if someone borrowed money from you,
and then when it came time for you to get
your money back, you at an attitude or didn't respond

(20:24):
to their phone calls? She said, how can you expect
to be blessed financially when you won't handle your responsibilities.

Speaker 1 (20:30):
The way you should?

Speaker 4 (20:31):
When I tell y'all, she got us together. She got
us together about not crying wolf, and when you don't
pay your creditors, it's like your stealing it all. She
also talked about exercising compassion and forgiveness with your debtors.
She talked about even when you have family members and
loved ones who need things.

Speaker 1 (20:50):
Just having a fund.

Speaker 4 (20:52):
If you know that you're going to give, and you
know that you're really blessed, and you know that people
come to you, create a fund. And this is how
much I put into my space to get to my
loved ones, right, And you don't hold them, you don't
hold them hostage over it.

Speaker 1 (21:05):
You already know you're going to give.

Speaker 4 (21:06):
It, and you know sometimes they can and maybe they
cannot pay it back. Your heart towards them, your compassion
and forgiveness towards them, the same as the scripture says,
forgive us our debts.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
As we forgive us our debtors.

Speaker 4 (21:17):
And so she held us responsible in the word it
was so good Deuteronomy fifteen. At the end of every
seven years, you must cancel the debts. That is literally
where the bankruptcy laws come from. From Deuteronomy fifteen and one.
She talked about not being ashamed of having money problems,
but when you foresee the money problems come, don't ignore

(21:38):
them and act like they don't exist.

Speaker 1 (21:41):
Deal with them and have a plan. She said.

Speaker 4 (21:43):
People that are wealthy, they don't see bankruptcy as a
bad word.

Speaker 1 (21:46):
They use it to reset.

Speaker 4 (21:48):
And readjust because the bank literally holds your creditors off.

Speaker 1 (21:51):
And so it was just so much wisdom.

Speaker 4 (21:53):
If you get a chance, go to the Cali Worship
Instagram page, and I believe the session is still up.
What I love most is even Q and A where
people get to come up and ask real questions. And
it was just such a blessing. Here's the message. Faith
and credit do go hand in hand, having faith in
God and being having integrity and character when it comes

(22:14):
to how you handle your finances will determine if you
walk in wealth or not, because if you have a
thieves mindset when it comes to money, you're always trying
to get the hookup, You're always trying to get something
more than what you deserve.

Speaker 1 (22:25):
You're always trying to do these things.

Speaker 4 (22:27):
Then your mindset isn't in the position of being the
giver and the lender and not the borrower, which the
subscription says, we're supposed to be the lender and not
the borrow.

Speaker 1 (22:36):
That doesn't mean don't use credit. That means understand how
money works.

Speaker 4 (22:40):
So you guys, a lot of times the issues that
we have in our community as related around finances is
literally just learning how finances work.

Speaker 1 (22:47):
And it was just it was such a blessing.

Speaker 4 (22:50):
It's all about Kingdom funding and faith and credit and finance,
which you don't usually go together, but definitely go together.

friend in your circle.

Speaker 1 (23:31):

Speaker 4 (23:33):
I don't think there should just be one person in
your group that understands money all of y'all should you know?
If that's the smart one, then maybe you need to
sit down and say, hey, let's talk through some things.
Show me your ways so I can understand finances and
I can build generational wealth. My family as well. Is
get up one into y'all. That's the airchaism of the day.

Speaker 6 (25:07):
God is yes, yes, yesterday in Atlanta since last Wednesday. Actually,
it is the National Primitive Baptist Convention, the Primitive Baptist uh.

Speaker 1 (25:20):
They're the ones that practiced the foot washing.

Speaker 6 (25:23):
And they had a president's luncheon and the president was
Kenneth the president, Kenneth A.

Speaker 1 (25:30):
Duke. He's been the president for.

Speaker 6 (25:31):
Seven years and it was the first time that they
did comedy at the conference. But Erica and Sheryl, this
is the hammer. I met President Kenneth Duke at Ship Church.
A couple of years ago. He was on sabbatical. His
wife had passed, his mom had passed, and he just

(25:53):
wanted to get away. He said he came to Ship
Church every day in three days that on the floor
because of how full it was.

Speaker 1 (26:03):
But he said it blessed him so good.

Speaker 6 (26:05):
He said, I'm ministered to him on the ship and mans,
you never know who is around you. You know, you
never know who is around you. And I just just
thank you President, Reverend doctor Kenneth Duke.

Speaker 1 (26:20):
That was amazing.

Speaker 6 (26:21):
Oh, and shout out to Pastor Maurice Jackson from Detroit.
But he passes that new generation in Columbus, Ohio. For
the last thirty three years, they listen to us every day.

Speaker 1 (26:33):
Then he said, go blue. He was a guest thinker.

Speaker 6 (26:35):
Now somebody in the car saying the National Primitive Baptist
convenient you can't read about it. He get saying, all right,
somebody else saying I.

Speaker 1 (26:43):
Need to go to Ship Church on a fantastic voyage.
You get to say, ain't he all right?

Speaker 6 (26:48):
But if you like me and you know, man God
to put you where you need to be at the
exact card, I'm saying, eighty kind of awesome church from
the ship. I never said I'm the president, and you
know what I mean, just came as ship church. He said,

(27:11):
it was so broken on this sabbatical. And I said,
was that the year Stevie Wonder? He said, I don't know.
All I remember is you and what's the big passor
from Texas that we love Dallas Texas on the across
the street Friendship Baptists.

Speaker 1 (27:32):
Yes, Friendship Baptist Freddy has come on.

Speaker 6 (27:37):
He said, all I remember you is that my dude,
Freddie Haynes and Charles Jenkins.

Speaker 1 (27:41):
That's it. I thought that was so cool. We are
trying to remember. But why is that across the street?
And you know what, I know that I'm praise too.
That mean we are crazy together.

Speaker 6 (27:56):
No, not to take out the one people stuff right
with the quad with the poor name across the street
he got a blue car.

Speaker 4 (28:05):
Oh god, the old people.

Speaker 1 (28:10):

welcome back to Get Up Mornings.

Speaker 3 (30:29):
Thank y'all for having me as an honor.

Speaker 1 (30:31):
You got this new song.

Speaker 4 (30:32):
Why don't you introduce it real quick and then we'll
come back and talk more about it.

Speaker 3 (30:36):
Wow, what's up everybody? This is Rudy Currens and this
is my new single. God don't cancel me.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
Make sure you tell.

Speaker 3 (30:40):
Yourself as long as God don't cancel me.

Speaker 1 (30:42):
I'm all right, all right here.

Speaker 4 (30:44):
It is on Get Up Mornings. That was God, don't
cancel me, all right, I know that's right. Come boy,
Rudy Currence, don't get up on it. So tell us
what encouraged you to do this song?

Speaker 2 (30:58):
Wow.

Speaker 3 (30:59):
I always, as an artists want to heal, inspire, encourage
people through my music, and so I feel like this
message is so relatable as timely we are seeing castle
culture in real time on our timelines, on the news,
and so I wanted to put out a message of
hope through the song. And also it's becoming kind of
a self affirmation. I think it's an answer for a

(31:20):
lot of people, not just for anybody that may be
experiencing or witnessing cancel culture, but anybody that feels like
a misfit or outcast or feels unseen. I just want
to remind you that God's love is with you always.
And it says in the in the bridge, just look
to the heels from which comes to your health. And
we know it's goat God, don't castle us. It's gonna
be all right, does God? Before you can be against you?

Speaker 6 (31:40):
Come on, you better talk that you talk you understand
me sermon very sermon as very sermon as Rudy. I've
known you for a long time. Man, watch your music
career way back to me and make faddening them.

Speaker 1 (31:58):
Yes, So are you?

Speaker 6 (31:59):
Are you better now in this space with your journey
with Christ?

Speaker 1 (32:04):
Wow?

Speaker 3 (32:04):
I think it's a daily walk, you know. So I
wouldn't say that I'm better, but I'm growing and I'm
definitely striving to be the best that i can be
every day. So I think that I'm learning to not
look at external competition, but I'm really looking internally and
just trying to make sure I'm being obedient and making
sure daily I align with whatever God's calling me to.

(32:27):
So I try not to allow, you know, extenuating circumstances
to affect, you know, the call on my life. And
I think that everybody can speak to that. You know,
there's so much going on around us, and you know,
just trying not to get discouraged by the noise and
just remembering what God is saying to us and trying
to you know, connect with that.

Speaker 4 (32:47):
Yeah, so listen, you've had quite a few hits, hit
at the hit and that things are really wow.

Speaker 1 (32:54):
Great for you.

Speaker 4 (32:55):
How do you feel right now at this stage in
your in your ministry journey, I'm.

Speaker 3 (33:00):
Trying to be more present. I think I'm such a
perfectionist and I'm also like always like striving for the
next thing. So I'm trying to learn to be present
and also just to take up space. And I think
so the part of that is just connected to talking
about journey. One of the things that I've really been
intentional about is self care and focusing more on loving self,

(33:22):
holding those healthy boundaries, you know, being in therapy and
just advocating for those types of things. So, but I'm
grateful for all of it, and so I'm grateful for
the messages like I Belong Here, which is my first
number one single, Thank you guys, for all the programmers,
all the listeners out there for supporting the music and
no ready to love them, for Stepha Schelle and you know,

(33:43):
God Don't Cancel Me.

Speaker 1 (33:45):
Look at Gods showing out.

Speaker 3 (33:47):

Speaker 8 (33:49):
I love it.

Speaker 1 (33:51):
So what's coming up next? And how do we stay
connected to you?

Speaker 3 (33:54):
I'm excited. So God Don't Cancel Me is a lead
single my forthcoming albums. For those that don't know, I'm
a PK, so the church babies. Know what that means, Eric,
I know you know what that means. Kid, and So
the new album is titled Everyday PK, and I really
want it to be about being relatable and just as
an everyday believer, sharing the good news and unconventional spaces

(34:14):
and places. So some more touring. You can look forward
to some e commerce with the Gods Don't Cancel Me
tease and hoodies, and hopefully holiday release this I Love Christmas,

Awesome, you're listening to get up, Eric Campbo, It's time
to wake up and win with doctor Willie Jolly.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
Hey, it's another great day.

Speaker 12 (35:16):
This is doctor Willy Jolly, author of the book are
set Back as a set up for Comeback. One of
the most important tools to turn your setbacks into comeback
is a willingness to keep fighting even in tough times.
It is easy to fight when the energy is high,
but it is harder that time goes on. Yet we
must keep on fight going. Some say it is tough.

Speaker 2 (35:36):
This right.

Speaker 12 (35:37):
Life can be tough, but tough times do not last,
but tough people do. Get tough. Keep fighting for your
dream and fight hard for it. You might get knocked down,
but keep getting back up and keep fighting.

Speaker 1 (35:51):
Those who refuse to lose rarely do.

Speaker 12 (35:54):
The paradox of life is that success is built on inconvenience.

Speaker 1 (35:58):
Never convenience.

Speaker 12 (35:59):
Those who are willing to struggle and grow from it
win those who would not lose. Struggle creates winners and
creates great comeback stories. It's comeback time, so go make
it happen. Get tough.

Speaker 1 (36:12):
This is doctor Willi Jolly. Go to Win with Willie
dot Com for resources to help you win more, and
remember your best is still yet to come. You've heard
from us.

Speaker 3 (36:22):
I'm so excited, really because I got grew and.

Speaker 1 (36:28):
All right, Cheryl, what are we talking about today?

Speaker 6 (36:30):
All right?

Speaker 4 (36:30):
So I saw this question on the Food Network. You know,
we laugh about it all the time. The foods that
traumatized us as kids, well, yeah, foods that we didn't eat.
But you know, now that we're older, our taste buzzs
have gotten a little mature, and we've learned how to
fix things differently. Like one of the things that traumatized
me as a kid was Brussels sprouts. Like my mom
used to make it like you would make a head

(36:52):
of cabbage and boil it, you know what I mean.
And back then they boiled it in pork and I
was like, this is awful. Like I would sit at
that table and cried, lets you eat them? Brussels. I
hated them, But man, I love them now because I've
learned how to you know, roast them or sautee them,
you know what I mean. And I just made today
did oh. I love them? Man, I love them. With

(37:15):
the different sauces that you can use, right, Terry Yaki,
I've I've used amino acids. I've used a lot, you know,
the soy sauce that's aminos, I've used that. I mean,
Worcestershire said sauce, I used, I put, I mean you can.
You can create different sauces for it and sautell them

(37:36):
and make them really soft, and so I love them now.
But man, I used to be traumatized by Brussels sprout.
What about you guys. Let's see, I.

Speaker 1 (37:43):
Did not like black eyed peas or Okra.

Speaker 4 (37:47):
I still don't like okra. You don't like, cried Okra.
My husband loves FRIEDA is so good. Warned that I
don't know the sime thing I can't get beyond that.

Speaker 1 (37:58):
It's the test.

Speaker 4 (38:00):
It is good though, but also delicious. Yeah yeah, but
I hate you do it now. One thing I still
don't do, and that's liver.

Speaker 1 (38:06):
I don't do that either. I can't do liver like
some good chicken livers. Man, yeah too, I love some
good chicken livers.

Speaker 6 (38:13):
It's very rare. I can get something. My mama make them, Leniga,
make them. They got good chicken livers in South Africa.
You know I'm not a wishy washy dude, So nothing's changed.

Speaker 2 (38:25):
No.

Speaker 1 (38:25):
I hated beans.

Speaker 6 (38:26):
Growing up, and I can deal with some beans and
some chili now. And chili Leniga makes a mean chili
chicken wings either, do you? I probably had nine or
ten chicken wings in my life. You just started eating America.
There's a lot of unblack things you do.

Speaker 1 (38:46):
So you don't play stage. That's because we were saved.
But I'm just saying, don't come for me.

Speaker 6 (38:55):
I'm just just because I don't eat wings.

Speaker 4 (38:58):
Leave me alone, and I don't eat ribs. Not the
get up on? Okay, what do you like that you
didn't like as a kid? So definitely brough Chilian beans
now for him, Chilian beans for her, black eyed peas,
and okrah for me.

Speaker 1 (39:14):
Uh So we want to hear from y'all. Eight seven
seven two two two for I meaning fish. Now, maybe
that's right. You did, dude. There's some whiting too. I'm
out here. You can't talk about it. You eating organs?
You like chicken liver?

Speaker 4 (39:26):

two two four two six.

the vineyards. Remember that spread they did, It was like
vintage and you had vintage clothes from Polo that was
