Speaker 1 (00:13):
Welcome back to Get Up Mornings. Hey, how y'all doing
doing good? So listen, you got a brand new single.

Speaker 2 (00:20):
The other one is probably still number one, but you're
about to give a whole another one. So introduce this
new song that we'll come back and talk about it.

Speaker 3 (00:27):
Oh man, it's a song entitled turning Around. Man, I
just really believe we're in the season right now with everything.

Speaker 4 (00:32):
Going on in the climate, we just need a turn,
not just a turn in our favor, but a turn
in our dispensation, to turn in our joy, a turn
in our piece. I'm just super excited about it.

Speaker 3 (00:42):
Wrote this song with a couple of friends, and I
really believe it's gonna bless a lot of people.

Speaker 1 (00:46):
It is turning Around on Get Up Mornings, Get Up
Mornings with Eric Campbell Get Up Debut.

Speaker 2 (00:56):
That's Paster Mike Junior with his new single turn it Around.
And that's another one Past to Mike, So, how does
this song tie into the larger message of your mixtape?

Speaker 1 (01:06):
Convetti and conspiracy.

Speaker 3 (01:09):
It's a powerful message man, Like I.

Speaker 4 (01:11):
Tell everybody, you'll be surprised how many people see a
blessing but don't know your burden, or see your consetti
and don't.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
Know your conspiracy.

Speaker 4 (01:19):
You know, I went through probably skyrocket in five years
when I hit the gospel seeing five years ago. But
because of internal struggles with anxiety, because of certain things
I went through, I can honestly say drifts. I never
enjoyed ninety.

Speaker 3 (01:33):
Five percent of what God was doing.

Speaker 4 (01:35):
Because the entire time I was focusing on the miners
instead of majoring in the things that.

Speaker 3 (01:40):
God was doing.

Speaker 4 (01:41):
So for me this song, when I say turn around,
one of the parts was have be able been down
so long that you couldn't look up and you don't
know what to do? And I discovered that most people
think that the mountaintop is the blessing. What I've discovered
is in my maturity season that the real blessing is
in the valley. Most of us are program to make
it through struggle. It's the success that will break you.

(02:04):
So for me, it's a turn around.

Speaker 5 (02:06):
Never forget he a real pastor, But pastor, how do
you balance in it? And you do talk about being
depressed and having anxiety, but then you you know, you're
this big pastor and you're just traveling. How do you
even get it together for somebody listening and going through
the same thing.

Speaker 3 (02:24):
I'm just very transparent, man.

Speaker 4 (02:26):
You know, I believe if I could put together my
favorite event or my favorite.

Speaker 3 (02:31):
Podcast, I would love to talk to Erica.

Speaker 4 (02:34):
Because we saw all that they did with Mary Mary
then ridicule for a dress or you get to see
all these highs. And what I've discovered in this season
in my life is I am done pretending to be
something that I'm currently not. And Erica knows there's been
a first lady. Being an artist, being an entertainer, we
have to always be on. And it's almost like have

(02:57):
you ever told a lie? So long as you start
believe both one of those like I told you I
never get I said, man, I was working out in
last weight boy, you had surgery stopping.

Speaker 1 (03:07):
Oh it's one of those.

Speaker 4 (03:10):
Things, grip where I started telling people, oh, no, I
got this, I got this, and you started believing.

Speaker 3 (03:15):
A lie until you say with the reality that.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
You couldn't run from. So for me, I'm gonna always
be transparent. I'm gonna always do my best to just
be honest about where I am. And for me, Rock
City isn't just a place where I preach. It's also
a place where I heal because as I grow through things,
we grow through them together.

Speaker 2 (03:35):
It's so true, and I think that once we teach
people how to be in the valley and the mountain,
we equip them better for both.

Speaker 3 (03:43):
Uh.

Speaker 2 (03:43):
We're proud of you for your honesty. Not many, you know,
men of God and people that are successful in music
industry are willing to be dishonest, and I think it
gives license to so many younger people who are struggling.

Speaker 1 (03:53):
So thank you for that transparency. Before you go, How
can we pray for you?

Speaker 5 (03:59):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (03:59):
If you can do anything for me. It's a crazy question.
I love this question. How can you pray for me?
Just say, Lord, keep them wholly, humble and hungry.

Speaker 3 (04:07):
That's my thing. Manly, I'm gonna add another age.

Speaker 4 (04:10):
Holly, humble, hungry, and honor one of the things that
I've learned.

Speaker 3 (04:15):
I've been doing a lot of.

Speaker 4 (04:15):
Reflecting lately, and my son asked me, He said, Dad,
you got any regrets? And I can honestly say I
don't have many regrets. I got two or three things
that I wish I could get better. You know, I
spoke out on some things about a year and a
half ago concerning other artists that I wish I wouldn't have.
Did you look back now and there is a way
that seemeth right. But the end there was a destruction.

(04:38):
So for me, if you could just pray for me
to stay, stay in God's purpose, stay in God's will,
stay authentic to who I am, and make wise decisions
that will helped me so much.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
We got you, Pastor Mike, thank you for dropping by today.

Speaker 1 (04:51):
Thank you so much, Pastor Mike Junior.

Speaker 2 (04:53):
