Speaker 1 (00:09):
Nine thirty eight on DOUBDBT Home Stretch on a Tuesday
morning with both Thompson and Beth Troutman. Hello, hih, we
have two people on the DOUBLEBT hotline right now, very
important people, because you have an important event to tell
you about coming up.
Speaker 2 (00:25):
I'm so excited about this event. It's called Narrowway on
the Fairway. You have heard me talking endlessly for the
last few months about Narroway, the Broadway of Christian Entertainment. Well,
they have a huge fund raising event called Narroway on
the Fairway September fifteenth, that's of this year at Carolina
Lakes Golf Club. That's an Indian Land, South Carolina, and
(00:46):
we have two special guests here to tell us all
about it and about how you can get involved. We
have Alisia Hutchins, she's the operation manager and the golf
committee chair. We also have Angelina Steele from Narraway joining us.
Good morning, ladies, Good morning, morning, good morning. We are
so excited to have you and how cool that you
(01:07):
guys do this every single year and have a good
old time on the fairway and help raise money to
keep what you're doing going.
Speaker 3 (01:17):
Yes, absolutely, yeah, we always have such a blast. We
have a huge turnout and people have such a great
time really supporting a great mission and ministry, and it's
a I tell people, did you know that you could
serve the Lord through golf a good time see?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
And that's what I really love about it. I don't
think people realize how incredible your organization is now. Narroway Productions,
you guys put on these beautiful, family friendly dinner shows.
So many of the people who are in the cast,
super talented volunteers, and you all throughout the year have
to find ways to make sure that you can keep
(01:56):
this ministry going. And this is one of the biggest
fundraiser there's for your organization every year, right.
Speaker 4 (02:04):
Yeah, it is.
Speaker 3 (02:05):
There are a lot of, you know, things that we
do throughout the year to really drive forward the mission Narraway,
but this is really one of the biggest fundraisers that
we do throughout the year.
Speaker 1 (02:16):
I went to see and got No Men a few
a few months ago with Beth. That's the first time
I'd ever been to Narraway and I grew up around here,
and I came out of that saying, Wow, more people
need to know about Narraway. That was incredible and now
I sort of understand why you need events like this
to be able to do what you all do year round,
because I know you have the gospel according to Tennessee,
(02:37):
which Beth just went to, and uh, and obviously the
shows that will come later this year. But it's a
it's an incredible group and it's a but it's a
big undertaking, and so these are the types of events
that you have to do to be able to keep
something like that going for as long as you have
for sure, for.
Speaker 4 (02:52):
Sure, because we have you know, obviously shows every weekend
just about throughout the year to keep us doing what
we're doing, but beyond just what we do on the weekend, narroways,
vision long term is so big. We have big dreams,
a big vision, and so it takes more than just
doing shows every weekend to keep us going in to
(03:14):
catapult us where we want to be, because we don't
want to stay stagnant. We want to keep our edge
and keep on top of the latest and greatest technologies
and special effects and facility upgrades and things like that,
and so it really does take special events like this
golf tournament to help keeping us pushing forward like we
want to and shooting for the stars and just getting
(03:37):
bigger and bigger and increasing our footprint and our capacity
and just the vision that God has given us.
Speaker 2 (03:44):
So Alicia, tell folks if people are listening right now
and they are moved by this, this idea of helping
you all grow your vision and continue your ministry, continue
with your family friendly Christian shows, original shows. Tell folks
how they can be involved. I know that you need
corporate sponsors, but people can also join as foursomes and
be on the team and just be part of this
(04:06):
fun event.
Speaker 3 (04:07):
Absolutely, so it's really easy.
Speaker 4 (04:09):
If you go to.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
Narroway Golf dot com, that'll take you to our web
page and that'll show you all of our sponsor opportunities.
Like you said, we do need corporate sponsors, there are
also people who sponsor in honor or memory of a
loved one. I know every year our directors sponsor Hole
eighteen in honor of Yvonne Clark's dad who was an
(04:33):
avid golfer. And so corporate personal sponsors, but also to
register to play, you go to that same website and
that gives you all of the information, the tournament format,
how to register, prices, all of.
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Those things well and just like going to a Narroway
show is the show, but it's also you have the
option you can eat there. They have all the stuff
that comes with it. This is a golf tournament that's
about the golf, but it's also about the day. You know,
breakfast available, you've got dinner, you've got raffling, you've got prizes.
So when you participate in this, it's kind of the
whole package deal for sure.
Speaker 4 (05:06):
This golf tournament is another narrow Way production.
Speaker 1 (05:09):
There it is. That's perfect. Doesn't mean when you drive
up to the you know, the ninth Hall, they could
come out and entertain you in song. Is that right?
Speaker 4 (05:18):
No, I'm deny nor confirm that.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
Okay, Well see that's actually the perfect answer.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
Just like Angelina said, anything that nearly does it truly
is a production. And we have gotten so many comments
over the years that there has never been another golf
tournament fundraiser like this that people have been to. The
food is absolutely delicious. Our head chef and our team
prepare the lunch. Chick fil A always donates the breakfast,
(05:48):
so you have a great chicken sandwich to come to.
But we have great prizes, great fun, and a great
time so.
Speaker 2 (05:55):
Let's tell folks again when this is and again how
they can register, and is there an entry fee? And
do you need how many foursomes do you still need
for people to participate? Right?
Speaker 3 (06:07):
So, right now, the price is only one hundred and
twenty five dollars per player, and that is the lowest
price that it's been since we've started this fundraiser. And
then we have space for oh, have about twenty six
more foursome.
Speaker 2 (06:25):
Okay, so people need to get onto this website, Narroway
Golf dot com and register because you're about to run
out of spots.
Speaker 3 (06:32):
Yes, exactly.
Speaker 1 (06:34):
Well, this is great and it's coming fast. We're under
a month now until the actual event itself. But if
you go to Narrowaygolf dot com you'll see all the
information and again, anything else we need to relay and
we'll keep talking about it as we get closer. But
we want to try to get you guys sold out.
Speaker 4 (06:50):
There, yeah or for sure, So sign up for golf,
come see the gospel according to Tennessee, you know, just
just be here being housey. What we're doing.
Speaker 2 (07:00):
Well, thank you ladies so so much for joining us.
And I want to say to folks again go to
Narrowway Golf dot com. You can register to play. You
can also find out how to become a corporate sponsor
for this event. It's a really fun event. And you Bo,
you can tell these are my people. They randomly break
out into song on golf courses.
Speaker 3 (07:19):
Yes, listen, you never know what you're going to see
on the golf course.
Speaker 1 (07:22):
Well, look, Alicia and Angelina, we appreciate you coming on
with us, and we love what you all do down
there and hope to see you soon.
Speaker 4 (07:30):
Oh well, thank you so much for having us.
Speaker 1 (07:32):
Thank you, thank you, good luck. Tell everybody we said hello,
and Narroway Golf dot com is where you find all
the details.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
And if you're interested in seeing, Like Bo was saying,
