Sandrine Dixson-Declève est coprésidente du Club de Rome et conseillère en transition économique et environnementale auprès de l'Union européenne. Elle est l'invitée de Hors pistes.
Pour expliquer son métier, Sandrine Dixson-Declève a l'habitude de dire qu'elle "facilite les conversations difficiles". Que ce soit au côté Al Gore dans les années 90 ou en tant que conseillère pour l'ONU et la Commission européenne, elle sillonne la planète depuis plus de 30 ans pour construire un dialogue entre les États, les institutions internationales, les entreprises, les ONG et le monde de la finance.
Au cœur des discussions, l'impact du développement économique sur l'environnement. "C’est avant tout la croissance démographique et notre manière de consommer qui est le problème, nous devons absolument diminuer notre "demande" au lieu d’augmenter encore "l’offre" de solutions", explique-t-elle.
Pour cette docteure en sciences de l'environnement, spécialisée dans les politiques publiques, rien ne bougera tant qu'on n'adoptera pas une approche systémique. Une approche qui implique un "nouveau pacte" entre tous les décideurs et à tous les échelons, ainsi que la construction d'un véritable dialogue intergénérationnel qui place la jeunesse au cœur du processus de décision.
