Fabien Pinckaers est à la tête d'Odoo, une société spécialisée dans les logiciels de gestion. Le patron de l'Entreprise de l'année 2021 est l'invité de Hors pistes.
Mi-ingénieur mi-entrepreneur, Fabien Pinckaers a trouvé sa vocation très tôt, à 12 ans précisément. Lorsque ses parents lui offrent son premier ordinateur, il met les jeux vidéo de côté pour se consacrer au développement d'un logiciel de gestion. Pari gagnant. Un an plus tard, il revend son œuvre à une société de taxi, pour la somme de 7.000 euros.
Aujourd'hui, près de 5 millions de personnes utilisent quotidiennement les logiciels développés par l'entreprise wallonne. Pour faire tourner la société, il peut compter sur 1.000 employés répartis à travers le monde, entre les États-Unis, le Mexique, la Chine et Dubaï. Et ce n'est qu'un début, 800 nouveaux recrutements sont prévus cette année.
Fabien Pinckaers voit grand et vise la croissance, à tout prix. Il faut dire que 2021 aura été l'année de tous les records avec une croissance du chiffre d'affaires de 74% et une valorisation qui a dépassé les 2 milliards de dollars, faisant d'Odoo, la première licorne wallonne.
